Staff are friendly and attentive. Never pushy to sell you anything.
Omgoodness, what a terrible experience we have had with this company and in particular, this West Elm location. I wanted to wait until we got our furniture set up to see if the experience would get any better. However, today it got even worse. The first delivery of part of our furniture order was not set up as they should do so. The man from West Elm left one large box and two large exposed pieces of part of the set in our doorway. He was going to leave it out at the curb, but we told him no way. Apparently, he was supposed to put it together. For over a month we engaged on the phone with the operations director and a corporate staff member, because the rest of the order was delayed and the amount of money taken unexplained in full. Finally, we were told the delivery specialists were putting together all the sets of our order today. Two guys show up and one guy was very belligerent with us because they refused to set up the furniture since the previous employee did not set up the furniture he brought. We called DTLA West Elm and the same employees weve spoken with (including the operations manager) got on the phone with the delivery man and went back and forth about it. The delivery men pushed back and have left without assembling the furniture. I am being told by DTLA West Elm that on Monday they will get back to me about when we will get the last part of the furniture and when it will be assembled. They apologized, but at this point there is no forgiveness. They have been incompetent, unprofessional, and embarrassing. Honestly, do they even care what it feels like when you spend over 3K and are looking forward to having nice furniture set up when told they would do so...only to be terribly treated and let down? The so called delivery specialists behaved just awful with us. The one man using a halting tone with us and a raised voice. PLUS, he waved his hand at me. THIS is West Elm ladies and gentlemen.
The people working this location always seem to be busy doing nothing on the phone but looking like they rather be anywhere else but at work. I live up the street and tend to stop in from time to time and rarely do I get greeted and rarely do I get asked for help, it’s ok I don’t usually need help but when I’ve asked I swear I get that “Why tf” are you asking look. To be honest if I didn’t live so close I would I never go to this location because the service sucks I prefer the Beverly Blvd location, customer service there is way better. I’m giving the place two starts because like I mentioned, I do stop in from time to time and do find nice items for my DTLA apartment but I could also find this stuff any any other West Elm Location, really the two stars are for strictly because of convenience and location to me.
Nice showroom with good floor clerks. Had not so positive experiences at other West Elm locations. Bought from here and was satisfied.
One of my favorites...great staff...
West Elm has hands down the WORST DELIVERY SERVICE I have ever experienced!! I ordered a dresser in November. It was supposed to be delivered in early December. It is now March (4 months later!!) and still nothing. I had to place countless phone calls and send angry emails to their pathetic customer service and they still cant figure out where is my order!! At one point, in late December, they declared the order lost and ordered another one, but this one GOT LOST AS WELL!! A quick google search shows that I am not the only one. Their logistics department is utterly incompetent. If you order something from West Elm, there is a very high probability that your order will be lost or delayed.Do yourself a favor and shop elsewhere!
The furniture here looks like it fits in all kinds of rooms and spaces. Much of it seems to be vintage and in good condition. The prices also look reasonable and possibly competitive with that of chain stores such as Target and IKEA. I havent purchased anything yet, but already plan to return for the friendly and helpful service alone.
Excellent collections and reasonable prices....
Delivery guys came and delivered within an hour of their scheduled time and called to confirm 30 minutes before. No scratches on the table or chairs. 4 star service on this purchase.
Totally americano. modern furnish that works with 2010. if you are looking for something thats timeless, this might not be a place to visit.
The worker named Alex helped me out. Very nice for with a good attitude.
Bad location but real nice store layout
Nice new showroom in Downtown LA. Hubs and I were in the store for about 20 minutes and no one greeted us or asked if we needed help. Eventually George came over and helped us. Stop by if you are looking for furniture and accesories.
They are very helpful but not pushy. And Ive compared their prices with identical items online. west elm, 928 S Broadway ste a is always lower. Ask for Tony...Hes a pro.
Everything they have here is amazing ! Everyone is so nice and helpful .
AWFUL! Ive been a very good client of them. Bought my whole living room plus some bedroom pieces, the products are great but WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE! I received a lamp with missing pieces that I had to send back. I requested a replacement and they told me theyll send a new lamp. Have been waiting for 3 weeks now!. I never received the lamp and when I call requesting the money back and asking about the delays, the customer service representative, very RUDE, hung up the phone on me! Still dont know if theyre going to still my money or what! NEVER BUYING ANYTHING FROM THEM AGAIN!
Terrible customer service, snarky store employees, and they were unwilling to honor prices online. I still don’t understand why they feel the need to confuse their customers.
Gorgeous new space end really exciting launch event yesterday!
This rating is for the delivery hub in LA. Twice they scheduled sofa delivery, called the day of delivery to tell me my sofa would not be arriving, offered zero empathy, nor did they reschedule. Instead, I spent over 3 hours on the phone talking to the furniture delivery department and trying to reschedule delivery. I was told by a customer service rep that this happens all the time with this delivery hub here. I will not be ordering any pieces that require delivery from West Elm in LA, unless the current delivery hub is swapped out for another.
Super cool
