I’ve been taking vehicles to Doug for 15 years. Doug is as good as they come for mechanics. His thirty years experience shows. He doesn’t just replace failed parts, he checks and services the whole system. He also educates if you want to know specific details of the repair. Repairs are done fast at a fair price and Doug is as honest as the day is long. Excellent shop.

This place is great! My husband and I found ourself in a crunch as we needed to find a cheap and reliable car to drive a 1,000 mile road trip plus be a good reliable family car as I am 8 months pregnant with our second child. To add to it we were on a time limit. We have known Doug for years and knew if anyone could help it would be him! He not only helped with some of his knowledge as we were car shopping but once we found one we took it to him and asked him to do what he thought needed to be done and gave him our budget. He came in right in our budget and time frame, car seemed to run great. I waited to write this review until after our road trip but car made it with absolutely no problems and continues to be a great family car with no issues!! Thanks Doug!!!

I cannot recommend this place enough. Traveling on a sisters trip with 5 kids & our car started smoking heavily & we were so stressed & panicked as we had a car full of kids 8 hours from home. I called the 1st mechanic that came up on my google search which happened to be this place & they got me right in, looked over my car to see what was wrong & gave me advice on what to do, they even spent their own time calling rental car places for us to see if they could help. I was not charged anything, just a good honest mechanic that helped strangers out in a pinch. So thankful for good people like them!

I have taken many vehicles to Doug to fix. Full front end replacement on a pickup of mine to air conditioning service on my dumptruck. He and his staff are super friendly, trustworthy, fair priced, and honest. I never worry that the work that gets done will have any issues in the future, and I am totally confident that if anything did ever come up (it hasnt) that I would be treated right and the problem would be corrected. I recommend Doug at Mobile Auto and Diesel to anyone I know that needs their vehicle serviced, big jobs and small ones too.

Doug has serviced my 2005 CRD Jeep Liberty (diesel) for more than a decade (since before he moved his shop to Longmont from Valmont Rd area in Boulder).He has done both minor and major repairs on the vehicle, including:Replacing an oil pan that had a slow leakTiming belt replacementFull brake job (front/rear) - >5 yrs ago and I still have >50% life on themTransmission replacementTurbo replacementRadiator replacementProbably more if I sift thru my records.He pays attention to the little details; he noticed a bracket for the AC coolant piping had broken, and that pipe was vibrating against my hood and was going to wear through and leak - so instead of spending $$ on a bunch of plastic OEM parts, he covered it with some rubber hose and a metal clamp to keep it from vibrating and wearing. That, alone, probably saved me >$500 on a future AC repair (and coolant costs) - that was a few years ago, and his MacGyver fix is still working just fine.Hes a one-man shop, so plan accordingly with major repairs. But hell get things done right. Hes honest, competent and will cost you less than most major shops or dealers. I went with Doug after someone w/ a similar 05 Jeep CRD had a local Jeep dealer destroy their engine by screwing up the timing belt replacement on it, because their mechanics werent familiar with the diesel engine repairs.So long as I own a diesel, Im using Doug for the maintenance, and Ive recommended him to others (gas or diesel vehicles).You can find fancier repair shops, but Im not sure youll find many that are more competent and detail oriented than Doug. I highly recommend him.
