Very glad I took my 1979 GMC K2500. I did a lot of work to set it up for emissions but I need a good mechanic to get it over the hurdle and tune it for what I swapped in and added. Ron did an exception job going though it and cleaning up the mistakes I made as well as taking the time to get the emissions test done. Truck runs great and I am armed with a lot more information to keep it running right. Ron also took time to answer several questions I had. Great people and great service. Very fair pricing. We had to get a hitch installed on our car for a move across country and they did a fantastic job. It took a while for the parts to come in (covid supply issues) but the communication was excellent and the staff was very friendly throughout the process. Once the parts arrived they were able to get it done quickly to keep us from being delayed any further. We drove 1200 miles with no issues at all and it was half the price of what the dealership quoted us. Highly recommend these folks!!

Hayes was amazing. I originally had my Jeep towed to Precision Dodge/Jeep down the road and they tried to charge me $760 to change my battery and thats before they would even attempt to diagnose the real problem. Shocking. I took it to Hayes and they were so helpful they even opened the hood and showed me exactly what fuse blew and gave me some extra in case it happened again. Super nice guys and will absolutely be using them again in the future.

I had been looking all around town for somewhere that would do an aftermarket lift kit on my old f250 to no avail until I walked into Hayes. Eric and his team did a bang up job despite some unforeseen delays. I immediately took it out on the road and on a trail and I have to say it feels like a new truck. Got a rebuilt started installed. Work done on timely fashion by that afternoon. Cost seemed reasonable, but obviously no one wants to pay for auto repairs.

I needed the AC for my company 2019 Mercedes Sprinter worked on. Because it was an after market system installed by a van conversion engineer, I was turned down by multiple repair shops to even look at it. Hayes Automotive was up to the challenge and willing to communicate with the engineers that did the conversion. They quickly diagnosed the problem and had the needed part sent next day to them. They got me right in to do the needed repairs immediately and performed the work exceptionally quickly. Obviously everyone wants a quick turnaround, but for those of us relying on our vehicles to make a living, this is even more crucial. They had me up and running in no time and were willing to go the extra mile working on my unique van conversion. We will definitely be taking all of our vehicles to Hayes when they are in need of anything. Everyone was very professional, helpful, and courteous! Thanks everyone! I highly recommend them!

I had a one off situation…at the start of a long holiday weekend vacation my truck broke down on I25 due to poor craftsmanship of a different transmission shop in south Colorado. Insurance company had my truck towed to Hayes Automotive which took over 4 hours of waiting. Hayes closed at 5pm but Nick and Fabian stayed late and waited for my truck and I to arrive. They had a beer waiting for me when I arrived and diagnosed the problem quick 2 hours after they closed. Their selflessness and professionalism was one of a few good things that happened to my family and I that day. They got me on the road and worked with me and the other transmission shop on payment. I was able to continue on my trip with my family with no further issue thanks to them. Good shop and good people.

We have appreciated thoughtful, professional treatment at Hayes, and after having service performed on two roadsters new to us (1991 Miata and 2007 SLK280), were impressed that their mechanics understand a variety of cars. The services weve gotten so far have been performed right, neatly, and in timely fashion, and charges have been reasonable.

This is gonna be one of my most favourite garages here in Longmont its owned by young buck of a fella named Nick Clark. This fella is short in the tooth but has a good head on his shoulders & knows how to run a business. The mechanics that he hires are all ASE certified, he even has A couple diesel mechanics. Alvin in the south bay is always working on some big trucks. Eric who now runs the front desk & locates parts for the shop used to be a mechanic & his knowledge of everything automotive is quite extensive. (Hes getting long in the tooth & soft). All the me mechanics down at Hayes Automotive are in fact quite knowledgeable. Whether you desire an old timer or the young bucks. Hayes gets your vehicles back on the road in no time.

This shop was able to fix my old landcruisers emissions issue right the first time. This has been a rare thing in my experience. They also took it through the emissions test line for me to make sure they fixed the problem. My truck is too old for most diagnostic machines, so a step by step elimination process was required, apparently this is more than many mechanics are willing to do these days. I have been through many mechanics looking for one who is worth their salt, Im glad to have found these guys & I would reccomend them.

If I could rate a zero or even a negative number I would. I’m glad to those who have had great experiences but this is going to go down and be my absolute worst experience when getting repairs done on a vehicle.I originally went here due to my husband saying how well they do, etc. although following this I’ve only heard in regards to them being overpriced and not fixing the actual problem which is what I had experienced.The original issue I came in for was a diagnostic on my front end to understand the noise from the front. To which I am now also learning this shouldn’t have been hard to spot and is pretty common -Originally told it was the tire filer tensioner Assembly with the recommendation of a idler tensioner/serpentine belt and with later inspection after confirming to pay $500+ I was told what it should have been which was the Wheel barring. So of course we could fix it for $1000+ right? I knew something felt wrong so I declined and did further research as they were asking $450+ to do my wheel barring. Even with the part itself being $40 your labor is $400+? Ok.. Following, I still spend an ungodly amount on something to be fixed that I honestly do not believe needed to be fixed. My wheel barring surely does though and was missed in their first inspection? If I had $1k to spend at the time would I have just let them do this? Yes, and then I would still be upset to learn that all that amount didn’t need to be spent had they just fixed the correct part. I’m not looking for a follow up. I’m disappointed.If you enjoy spending money on things that don’t need to be fixed then surprised with what actually does need to be fixed so they get more money then definitely go here.

Fast and efficient service!

Hayes Automotive changed our summer tires and 8 days later as we were driving on I-70 in Utah, the right front wheel flew off the car and rolled across the highway. We managed to pull over without crashing or rolling the car. We took the wheel and photos to Hayes and they refused to accept responsibility. I guess it was just a coincidence that the wheel came off while we were driving a week after Hayes worked on it?Avoid this business! They are incompetent and inept and their shoddy work can endanger your life and cost you lots of money. All we wanted was for Hayes to cover cost of our deductive and 1-day car rental. They refused.RESPONSE: We were out of pocket $800. We contacted Hayes with the wheel and insurance documentation and met with them. While Hayes reimbursed us for $200, they did not cover our costs nor our time (round-trip to Grand Junction to pick up the car). Finally, no wheel should ever fall off a car while driving down a highway - period. Its pretty terrifying.

If you are looking for honest and hard working people, go to Hayes Automotive. I was blown away by their kindness, genuine interest in helping me and taking care of me like a family member. I called to get a quote to replace my headlights. Nick told me it would be a range of I believe $30-$60, depending on how intensive the work was. We talked a little bit about it and Nick said it sounded like it wouldn’t be any more than $50 or so. This was my first time going to Hayes and from the moment I stepped into their office, I was taken care of like I was family. I was greeted by Nathan, who was very kind and professional. In the time I was there, I heard Nathan speak to everyone who called or came into the office with the same respect, kindness, and professionalism I received. Replacing my headlights ended up being a much longer and labor intensive than expected. Nathan did a great job on keeping me up to date on the progress of my car. He even took pictures of the labor so he could show me and explain what was going on. This was all done without being asked to. Once my car was done, Nick, who I had spoke with on the phone about a quote the day before, told Nathan to charge me the original price of $50 only. I was COMPLETELY shocked and amazed by this gesture. I was assuming I was going to get charged more since the work took longer. Thank you Nick and Nathan for taking such great care of me and my car.

Staff was truly amazing! They fixed my alignment when other shops said it couldnt be done. I was trying to get back to my grandsons and the tires I had never would have held up so they helped me with 4 amazingly good used tires. I cant say enough about how well I was treated! Everyone on staff helped out with my issue and they didnt have to. I am truly blessed to have met everyone that day! Amazing group of men and women! Nick and his team have worked very hard today. First they had to deliver some pretty bad news about our diagnostic results, but they did a great job of explaining our options and doing so with empathy. After some back-and-forth with our warranty provider, they were finally able to relay that our repair will be covered and that they can start right away. It’s great to have a shop treat us like people. You should go there and get treated like people too!

I was needing a minor noise diagnosis and repair on one of my vehicles. The excellent experience with that, led to me bringing my other vehicle in. The second vehicle needed more extensive work, parts and installation. As the first experience was excellent, the second was equally so. It is nice to find a quality and friendly-staffed auto shop.

Hayes has repaired my Subaru more times than I can count, and have done an excellent job every time! They always try to get the repairs done as quickly as possible, without sacrificing the quality of the work. Ive had work done here twice . The first time was a computer replacement . They got it done . A few weeks later . Computer cover wasnt put back on which was why it failed in the first place . Secondly the weather coverings above the windows two were broken .The second time was a water pump and thermostat replacement . Since then both parts have failed . The technician actually left the old thermostat in between the engine cover and oil pan luckily it didnt rub a hole in the oil pan . This time there were hidden charges that werent explained ok whatever just needed it back .Overall unhappy with the professionalism . The quality just isnt there since ownership changed .

What a place! Loved it from the time I walked in. I was referred to them by someone on Nextdoor. I just moved here from Wyoming. Not knowing who will be upfront and honest to you. These are your guys. I knew something was up with my daughters Audi but what they did was above and beyond a mechanic who is trust worthy is like a pound of gold in my book. My dad was my mechanic for years! I took her car to them on Tuesday they had CV joints done, and a list more if stuff to get done. It was Completed by Thursday afternoon! No more check engine light on, CV joints done. And they were reasonable on prices, gave me a coupon too! For an Audi. Top Notch guys! Great service. They go over your vehicle and let you know about additional issues you may not be aware of when you bring it in and ask them to check out issues you are aware of. They include that info in the paperwork so if you need to wait a bit before getting that additional stuff fixed, you still know what the other issues are that they found.

Took my boyfriends truck here... I wouldnt do it again. They told us his truck was fixed. My family and his family traveled SIX hours and bought a hotel to get a truck that STILL didnt work. We brought it back to them and had to get a hotel for another night. We headed back home and wasted money. We still had NO truck... They assured us they would fix the issue. They called my boyfriend and said they fixed it. He flies to Denver to pick it up... STILL BROKEN! I understand the truck was in bad shape, but we both put our heads together and pulled a loan out for a lot of money to pay these guys and keep it honest. It would be nice if they would have been honest with us instead of making people pay money they really didnt have. Dont tell us its fixed when its not! We have the truck.. But it still has the original overheating problem we wanted fixed.AND TO ADD... I am a customer. Im paying on that $11,000 loan we took out to pay you.Reply: You are in fact NOT ensuring the truck is running... referring us to a third party to pay more money is not ensuring anything. especially if we took it to Hayes to begin with. This business is scandalous! If you want someone who will lie and say that your vehicle is running (when it is in fact NOT) and then proceed to take all of your money please give them a try!

Recently got my sunroof replaced by them. Some unexpected shipping delays caused me to keep my truck with them for a week. They were accommodating by giving me a loaner vehicle free of charge and made thing very easy for me given the situation. I will use them again.

Hayes team always does a great job with our vehicles. They carefully look for other defects which we may not have noticed, but they delay out-of-scope repairs until we have discussed and authorized. They stand behind their work consistently. They communicate with us early and often during the course of a complex or ambiguous repair. Honestly the worst shop I’ve ever dealt with, but I was in a pinch and they were able to get me in quick. Now I know why.. I’d originally called them up telling them I needed a full mechanical diagnostic done on my car. I’d let regular maintenance go and knew I was going to need a lot of work done on my car and just needed a checklist to work from. I drop off my car, tell them all the issues and noises I’d been experiencing. They call me back and tell me I needed new tires and rims and they wanted to put them on right away. I told them I knew that and would be working on that, but I was more concerned with the mechanical as I already have a tire shop. They told me they didn’t know and would need to keep my car an additional night. $1200 later they replace my spark plugs and my belts. They again tell me they recommend tires and on the invoice it recommended a new air filter although no one had ever spoken to me about replacing it. A week later, I’d replaced the tires and wheels but was still having the same issues. Took it to a mechanic who then told me that my sub frame was bent and that the new tires I’d just bought because they said I needed them were going to be chewed up within a month. I also needed a new fuel pump (my car could’ve blown up in the meantime. Thanks for that) and a new water pump.. overall worst service ever at an automotive shop.

Weve put in over 5k in my husbands truck. Hayes is the only place he will take it to. He is greeted by name when he walks in. Ron is the mechanic he has had and weve had no issues.

I lost my serpentine belt coming into Longmont the other day needed it and the harmonic balancer replaced. Had my car towed there on my insurance companies suggestion. Got there about 1PM they got right on it and drove me to work across town. When it was realized it would not be done that day they gave me a loaner.so I could get home to Denver. Price was very reasonable and I can not overstate how nice they are . Definitely will use them in the future.

It wasnt like some other shops where its just Bottom Dollar thats what you have to pay. He allowed me to have options! My car is 2004...doesn’t have a little trouble box to tell you what is wrong.. the person at the desk said if I could wait a while he’d have someone turn the trouble light off he was just Assuming Nothing was wrong! ..so I left wanting to check with someone else about the issue!They also charged way over what they should have per the other auto repair shop I went to...beware!

I recently started taking all of my vehicles to Hayes for repairs, as well as preventative maint. needs. I have a total of 4 vehicle that they service for me. 2 foreign and 2 domestic. They always get me scheduled incredibly fast and have the work done when promised. I have found their prices to be very reasonable and competitive. Everybody that works there is GREAT! I recently had my car towed into Dave Hayes shop. He and the staff were still there and he offered to give me a ride home. I have taken my cars there in the past and they always do an outstanding job of explaining the problems and getting the cars fixed in a timely manner. The staff has always been courteous to me as well. The auto shop is very professional.

The service and professional care given at Hayes was outstanding! My vehicle broke down at a horrible time. I was unsure what my options were. One call to Nick at this location and he arranged for towing, lined up a rental car in case my vehicle was out of operation for a while and he had me ready to go in as short a time as possible. Hayes Automotive even drove me to the car rental pick up location and waited to make sure everything there was in order before they left. Later I was called with a full explanation of what they found wrong with my vehicle and a full cost of repair. They went over each item, the problem and the options for repair, replacement or if the problem part could go a while longer. Nick was patient and always allowed me time to ask any questions and consider the various options. The staff was warm and friendly. Even when they were busy, they called me by name as they passed me in the lobby. I was even offered water or coffee as we went over the repair estimate. Hayes had to order in parts, but they had it in by the afternoon that same day. The repair went smoothly and my vehicle runs as good as new after their work. My in-laws had their car, we gave them, towed to this shop not knowing what was wrong with it and not knowing if this shop was good or bad. They did read the good reviews, however. I live in Oregon and had to converse with Chris and his Techs solely by phone. I was pleasantly surprised by the customer service I received. It was prompt, friendly and informative. The vehicle needed many things replaced and it was finished in record time, way before I expected. They even delivered the car nearby to my in-laws house since it was their only car and one of them was in the hospital, a special circumstance, no doubt. I would recommend anyone in the area to use this shop and have told my in-laws to continue to bring their car here. Thank you so much for taking care of our car!! :)

I have taken my vehicles to Hayes Automotive since they have been in business and I would never trust my cars to anyone else. Staff is always friendly and helpful, and I have never had an issue with their service. Top notch and professional all the way, right down to the complimentary vacuum job after every visit -- nice touch. I live in Westminster and gladly drive the extra miles to Longmont to have my cars serviced at Hayes.

I have had my car in several times for general service and have always been satisfied. The first time I was there for an oil change, I asked them to look at my air conditioning. It had stopped working under warranty. Honda said a rock hit the compressor which according to Honda was not covered by warranty and wanted to charge me $1,102 and three days to fix it. The technician at Hayes found the compressor was perfectly fine, checked the system for leaks and filled it with refrigerant. It has worked amazing well ever since.I highly recommend their service!

Hayes Automotive is hands down the best auto repair shop I have ever dealt with. Nick (Manager) went well beyond what he had to do to help. I was driving across country and ended up with a pretty serious issue on my vehicle. Even though they were booked up that day, he still worked me in and had my truck done the same day. Their professionalism was outstanding!! I made it to where I was going thanks to Nick and the team at Hayes Automotive. I highly recommend Hayes Automotive.

This was my first visit to Hayes. They are friendly and communicate well with the customer. I was shown the bad tire before they replaced it. They worked with me when I wasnt able to do all of the recommended tires at one time and I will return there to replace the others when I am financially able. With only the one visit so far, I would recommend Hayes to others.

I have gone there three different times all of which I never had an appointment and they got me in on the same day. They do excellent work however are a bit pricey. But if you come in with a quote from another place they will try to match or come close to that price. They make every effort to accommodate the needs of the customer and I think I have found my go to auto shop going forward!

Totally real and totally reliable. Its one thing to get nice people, which they are, but another to get a full-package of quality auto service, real people and reliability in all of their services. We have gone to Hayes for many different services. We are always quick to refer other people to Hayes Automotive for awesome service, competitive pricing and quality workmanship. One of our favorite things about Hayes is that they are very personable and they have an awesome group who will help you if you want to accessorize your 4x4. Weve had them install a lift kit, custom bumpers, off road lighting and electrical, High Lift jack mounting fabrication, winch install, custom wheels and tires, and we do our regular maintenance there also. What a rare gem of a place!

I have trusted my Subaru Outback wagon to the mechanics at Hayes over the past year and they have done a great job with it. Chris, the mechanic, calls me personally and goes over all the issues and concerns. A part they installed turned out to be defective and they immediately replaced at no cost to me. The staff at the front desk are always very pleasant. I will continue to use Hayes for all my future mechanical needs and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for good work at a reasonable price.

I took my car to Hayes Automotive because my mechanic was too busy that week. My car was making some noises and I wanted to know what was going on. They called me and let me know my car was done. I went to go pick it up. Nick the Co- owner (general manager) told me that the noises were fixed and advised me to replace my serpentine belt and to do a power steering flush. I paid $146 and took my car home . When I was driving I heard the noises, so I decided to record a video of the noise it was doing. I then called Nick and asked him for his cell number so I can send him the video . He gave me his number and I told him to please watch the video and to hear the noise it was doing and to let me know his thoughts. I never heard back from him . A couple days later I called him and asked him if he saw the video. He acted like he was looking for the video and said, here it is. I told him to please watch the video again so he could see that the noise still there and that they didn’t fix anything. While I was talking to him, I told him that I needed some quotes for a timing belt for another car and for the serpentine belt that supposedly my car needed. Well, guess what? I never heard back from him . I went to their website to request the quotes. I submitted them and got a respond saying that I should hear back from them within 24-48 hours. Well, guess what ? I never heard back from them. I talked to my mechanic about what happened and he told me to bring the car so he could check the serpentine belt on the car and the power steering fluid . He checked everything and told me that the serpentine belt was replaced a year ago by him and it was in perfect condition. He even showed it to me. He also showed me the power steering fluid all nice and cleaned. My questions to Nick are, What happened? Why you didn’t want to help me? Why lie about things that my car needed? Why in the world you didn’t want my business? I own 5 cars and I could’ve give you a lot of work, only if you would’ve been honest with me and showed me a great customer service, respond to my messages, call me back fast, just like my mechanic does. My advise to people is, please get a second opinion when Hayes Automotive tells u that your car needs something else. Take your car to a mechanic you can trust. I wouldn’t trust Hayes Automotive not even for a second . And if you want to know the name of my mechanic, I’ll be happy to give it to you.

I am a true believer in customer service and how a business treats its customers and future customers. I literally broke down in front of their shop. Being a graduate student with very little money, I wanted to get the best deal I could price and service wise, who wouldnt?. I called a few places. I then heard what seemed to be a manager/owner talking, to clarify Im not sure what his position is, to the front office staff about my situation. Being friendly, I told them my financial situation and asked a few questions. The man then stated IT IS NOT OUR FAULT THAT YOU ARE IN COLLEGE. I agreed that it was not their fault and that I never eluded to the fact that it was their fault for me furthering my education. I then waited outside for the tow truck to pick up my car. I waited for my ride outside in the cold because I did not feel welcome to wait inside their office.

I had a pleasant experience. They did a great job. Cesar fixed my car great and i will definitely keep going back.

Got me in last minute for a repair. Even though I told them I was leaving town they didnt bill me as it was a minor repair. If I was staying in town these would be my go-to guys. What great customer service by a family-owned business!
