Such a cool cafe!! Hubby & I went while on vacation & thought it was awesome. We had coffee and pastries & sat on the couch while checking everything out. Its very laid back, with a hippie vibe, decorated with a lot of Day of the Dead decor, sugar skulls & skeletons. The owner was singing as he brought an order to 1 of his regulars. It was cute. Will definitely go back if ever in Long Beach again!

When Im in long Beach Viento y Agua is my got to place for coffee, pastries and just a straight up place to chill. There is plenty of space for people to sit inside, with lounge chairs, sofas table and high chairs. Pre-pandemic there was live music and open mic nights. Now that an outdoor patio is available it just adds an extra layer of awesome to the place. The baristas are always super cool and drinks are great. I usually go with Mexican Mocha ($5.50) which is always spectacular. As good as the Mexican mocha is Im sure the other items are good just the same. The only issue i have is parking. Its pretty bad, to no fault of their own. There is only street parking (that i know of), not really stroller friendly because its a cozy space. All in all i highly recommend coming here for coffee, chatting a dm just straight up chillin.

I’ve been coming here for over a decade and the coffee is still as good today as it was the first time I went. Wonderful coffee and an amazingly kind staff that make you feel right at home. Always worth a visit when in Long Beach. In fact, I have since moved to Colorado, and I still make this place a priority every time I come back for a visit ❤️

I havent been in this place in years before today. I used to live a block away and go all the time but have since moved too far to be in the neighborhood much.Ive been frequenting Coffee Cup for breakfast down the street and made my way over today and I am so happy I did.It smells exactly the same as I remember it! Now theres outside seating and a one way track inside to keep people safe and distanced. The coffee is excellent and they have a killer Mexican mocha and signature cafe con leche. Then sandwiches! Theres a super small menu and everything on it is unique, awesome, and delicious. The owner works there all the time keeping it real and chill and they have just great vibes and super good service.Restroom/street parking/bike parking/dog water bowl all present.Go support this bomb small business!

I cannot wait to come down again and spend some time here when they can re-open the lobby. Im told that it is a great place to hang out and it looks it. The decor is really cool! We will stop here for coffee every time we visit Long Beach.

I usually love this place, but today… I ordered a coffee and a bagel and it took over 20 mins with only two guests in front of me. Then finally when I see my bagel being made, he barely put any cream cheese like he scraped it like butter you can still see the bread under the layer. I was waiting for so long at this point I wasn’t going to not say anything and asked if he could add more. He said because I had ordered vegan cream cheese he has to charge me extra because it’s so expensive. I didn’t pay extra and he let it go by saying this will have to happen next time. If you know you’re going to jip the customers who order vegan cream cheese then put a disclaimer on the menu. I was so aggravated, I’m already waiting 20+ mins for a bagel with half the cream cheese… I don’t know, the place seems understaffed and stressed out, not as peaceful as it once was. I really do like this place and I hope to have a better experience if I come back!

I regularly come here for the delicious bagel sandwiches, and have definitely brought many new people to check it out! They also offer vegan cream cheese (or you can substitute hummus) which can be hard to find at a typical bagel spot.Pre covid we used to come by for live music and play board games. But while dine in seating is not available, its been great to still come by for breakfast and go walk to the beach.

I called ahead to order a Mexican mocha for pick up after reading their rave reviews on Yelp. Bela, the owner, took my order and answered my newbie Mexican mocha questions with the friendliest and most enthusiastic vibe! It made me excited to get to the store and visit for the first time. I got the Mexican mocha with a bit of coffee in it and it was soooo delicious. Perfect level of bitter from the coffee and dark chocolate, beautifully thick and creamy balanced out with just a touch of sweetness. I also got a bunch of Homeboy bakery goods. Bela said he gets baked goods in Thurs- Sun. Perfect hot morning drink and delicious pastries from two businesses with heart ❤️ Thank you, Bela and barista gal, for being a bright spot during Covid times.

This is definitely a place I would need to visit more. I have come a few times with a co-worker and I have to say it has an interesting vibe. It feels like a lot of students go here to study as well. Only thing that you might want to be think about is their politics. They are overtly political with some of their messages. So if you don’t want politics while getting coffee, I’d say find a different place. Overall though, it’s a great place to try!

This is absolutely the BEST coffee shop for WORKING AND STUDYING! Its divided into two sides. The side with the tables is for the most part all people working, and its nice and quiet. The side with the lounge chairs is a mix of readers and people talking - but still the noise level is really low as compared to other coffee shops. Staff is great, as is the coffee and food. Try the killer tomato sandwich but on wheat bread - its awesome!

Viento started it all. It is the first artisan coffeeshop in Long Beach and has been tried and true for over ten years. All of their coffee drinks are delicious. They carry the best bagels in town. Bela, the owner, is the sweetest person who knows all of his customers names and he even sings songs to them! They have a great vibe for small meetings and solo work/study. They also support local artists!

Ive been going to this coffee house for probably 12 years and its just as wonderful today as it was when I was in high school. No matter where I go in the world, I always find myself missing a cup from Viento, so I thought Id write a review. The owner is super friendly and works the register frequently. If you go there often he gets to know your name and always has a warm welcome ready when you walk in. The coffee, of course, is also very good - tasty without anything at all, and never too sweet if you get a more exotic drink. Every barista is well trained and the latte art is always a pleasure to see. I wouldnt go here for a huge meal, but If youre looking for a light breakfast or lunch the pastries are delicious and the bagel sandwiches are both health conscious and to die for. Finally, the atmosphere is relaxing and inviting. Comfy mismatched arm chairs, local artists artwork, books, and a piano all invite you to sit back and enjoy. Every time I visit Long Beach, this place is an absolute priority.

Viento y Agua is the very model of a modern local coffee shop. My second closest - and conveniently favorite - coffee shop in Long Beach. Perfect layout for study or social gathering--The layout not only accommodates but encourages community cohesion; talking to your table neighbors is both easy and unnecessary (which is perfect for voluntary conversations or privacy). The coffee is secondary to me at this coffee shop, which isnt to say it isnt good. Its not the complete best coffee in Long Beach to my taste, but it is consistent and original. I suggest the dirty vanilla lavender shake; the only coffee shop I know to carry lavender flavoring syrup. The owner is a boss, the live music is explicitly local.

I write for a music and coffee blog called Crooners In Coffeeshops, in which I interview local musicians at local coffeeshops. My writeup reflects the positive experience that I encountered at Viento Y Agua on our interview date. There’s a reason why the Friends‘ favorite spot was the Central Perk and I can happliy say that Long Beach’s Viento Y Agua gives me those sames vibes. Home-y wood and brick paired with bright colored walls give the atmosphere an extra bit of spice than your standard shop while local artwork from paintings to sculptures really pull the interior design together. Apart from tangible art, they also hold regular open mic and belly dancing nights, singer-songwriter showcases, and light live music during the daytime (at least on the morning we were there).A copious amount of seating options allow for coffee date-ers, sit and read the morning newspaper-ers, board game-ers, and everyone in-between to stop in for something yummy to eat and drink offered up by their cheery staff. As the Mexican Mocha was raved about all through Yelp of course I needed to order it. I say this in the most serious way possible, the Mexican Mocha tastes like all of the warm and fuzzy things that bring you joy. GET IT! Viento Y Agua really is a great spot for Long Beach locals and visitors like myself to feel a strong community aspect as well as getting a great cup of coffee, thanks for having us!

This funky coffeehouse is also an art gallery and live entertainment venue, and serves up some of the best coffee in the area. We admired the colorful drawings of childhood imaginary friends, and started chatting with a group of peace activists who regularly use the coffeeshop as a home base. It had just started to rain, and so we ordered a mug of Mexican mocha with almond milk (the chocolate in the drink was blended BEFORE they steamed the milk), and settled into a comfy couch. The calendar of events had something interesting at least twice a week for the next few months – can’t wait to return!
