First time coming here. I got a vanilla latte and double shot of espresso. It’s a good spot. The workers were very sweet and it had amazing seating. The coffee was okay i’ve definitely had way better coffee. But if you’re looking to support a local shop it’s fair in pricing, great seating, and ambiance.

Used to love this place but the baristas need either more support or more training. Great atmosphere always super welcoming but I was disappointed with my half hearted drink and the terrible attitude of the barista that helped me. As you can see from the photo, this drink was only half made. I think with more staff this place can continue to shine. Love the location and the coffee is always on point

Love this place. Always quick and friendly. Only gripe is they don’t have coconut milk, but besides that, it’s a good little coffee spot. I guess parking can be difficult at times because they share a lot with hole mole. But they have nice little pastries and good coffee

Its a nice place to work. The atmosphere is comfortable and simple with wooden tables, benches, and chairs. The baristas are friendly and make great drinks. There are always other people working which puts me in the right mood to work. The coffee is consistently good.

This is my first time coming here. I am from phx but my sister lives here so next time I come to visit I plan to come here instead of Starbucks!!! The service was sweet and prompt. The caramel latte was great and the almond croissant was definitely one of the best Ive ever had!!! I recommend this place for sure!!

Great coffee shop. Its a good place to bring a laptop and get work done. Kind of small but that works out great if youre just there to do work. Also has a really cool Vibe and friendly staff.

It was definitely a unique experience! This is my first time here in this coffee shop and definitely not my last. They have fantastic taste of coffee and exceptional customer service. The staff is warm and friendly, the foods are great, and the overall shop is astounding. This is the best coffee shop I have ever been to. Highly recommended!

Cute coffee shop and the service was great. I ordered their Seasonal Spiced Latte and it was delicious. The orange zest really gave the coffee a unique taste, in a good way.

Excellent service and delicious avocado toast (added a couple of eggs) with tons of avocado. My decaf latte was presented beautifully and was smooth without a bitter after taste. Friendly people. The location is a little weird in a business park and with limited visibility. Parking is just ok.

My #1 go to, favorite, cant-live-without coffee shop! The freshest most balanced coffee. Laid back baristas. And the veggie hand pie....dear lord, I live for that thing!

This is the type of place you can grab a tasty caffeinated beverage of your choice, sit down, study, work, or have a nice conversation with the baristas or fellow coffee lover. Laid back and relaxed. Truly a gem of a place in Long Beach.

I get stuff from here all the time the purchasers are always so polite and friendly and plus it is the best place to urge fruit from and that they got good food all of the dishes and food approximately delicious and, always make an honest photo.

Cute little local coffee place, dining seats were closed to the Covid-19 response. But otherwise the service was extremely friendly and quick. Will definitely be back, the lavender latte I got was fantastic.

Great coffee shop walking distance from my work. Baristas are friendly in answering questions you may have about their drinks. The space is bright and minimal, great for working on your laptop or reading a book. I usually get a latte with oat milk...so good! Ive also been to their two other locations in Long Beach as well as the one in Torrance. All great!

The staff here is very nice, and took the time to explain many of the pastries that were in the case and then proceeded to make a beyond fantastic cup of coffee for me. The ambiance is perfect, it has a fresh vibe and again....the coffee is AMAZING. I loved everything about this place, including the location in town and all of the murals on the buildings in the surrounding area. Locals must love this place. I seriously wish I lived around the corner, Id be here every single day!

I love the coffee here. They do a lovely job of making their drinks strong in flavor, yet rich and fluffy in texture. The drinks are what you would expect from a true latte, cappuccino, and cortado. All are on the stronger side of what youd expect. The food is superb as well. I tried the Smashed Avocado Toast ($8) which was nicely flavored and not plain at all, and the Eggs and Manchego ($9)

From the start everything was a five star experience. This is the first time I get coffee here and was not sure what everything on the menu was. The guy that helped me out answered all my questions and even recommended the cortado with a little bit of sugar. Let me tell you this coffee was delicious. I havent had coffee this good in a while, from ANYWHERE. I highly recommend this place. The staff is great, the coffee is great, and the place looks great.

Always a good cuppa. I love the simple industrial feel of the interior and the hanging plant installation is looking super lush these days! Sometimes can be crowded so come early!

As an avid coffee shop goer I would have to say this one I love. They not only have great coffee, but the owner is cool too! Cal Heights is the perfect neighborhood for Steelhead Coffee both trendy and cool while being laid back and cozy. I will definitely be working and sipping here!

Mochas are not as sweet as the chain coffee places, which is nice, and are served at a drinkable temperature. My son loves the donuts (locally made, more like a dense cake than a fluffy donut - theyre good if thats what youre expecting). I really enjoy their pastries and quiche, though because of their supply chain I never know whats going to be available when I go in - which means I try new things.

Good coffee with FoamAroma lids for to go is a nice touch. They also complimented my hair before I headed out for my job interview, so obviously 5 stars

Its always crowded but in a good way. Sorry if Ive ever stood too close to anyone while I was waiting for coffee. But anyway the coffees are always on point and the pastries are off the hook. Ill always stop by when Im north of the 405

This place is amazing! Everyone is super friendly and the drinks are great. I recommend the lavender latte and trying one of their vegan donuts. The quiche is also pretty good.

If you havent been here then its time you make the drive. Great service, fantastic coffee, and the best snacks! Salad and a Black Eye (drip and 2 shots) makes for great afternoon pick-me-up.

The 5 coffees and 3 sandwiches are not worth the $70 we spent. The egg yolks were runny and the coffee was horrible. It did seem they made the sandwiches fresh, but it just was not good at all. The bread on it was the best part. The prices are way too high considering the quality of their products.

The coffee is good, but I dont like the ambiance - the location seems a bit sterile. The plus is that they have parking. It is a super small lot, but at least they have a spot. They have wifi as well, which is a good.

Stopped in on Saturday. Very friendly service, great coffee/pastries. Most importantly it is great to have and support an independent place in our neighborhood! Well be there often.

Coffee is good and service is excellent. We had an Americano and a latte. Both great. Unfortunately half way through my latte my 7 mo sweety decided it would be funny to tip it over. The personnel was at our table before I even had time to figure it out. They cleaned the table for us an gave me a new latte! How nice! I would definitely recommend this place.

Delicious drinks. Only thing is they have squatters a lot so if you want to pop in and out for a drink there is no seating

Very good coffee and sandwiches. For what I ordered, Id say it should have cost maybe $9 at most instead of $14, but it was delicious. This coffee shop is a treat.

Great little coffee shop. They have espresso drinks and usually two flavors of pour over coffee. The space is nice and the staff are very friendly and always willing to talk in detail about coffee.

It was not anything special. Good music and a small space. Their coffee selection is about 5 items. Theyre lowest price for coffee is $3 and I dont think it lives up to that.

HIGHKY RECOMMEND. When I drink this coffee not only does my bicycle go faster, but i look extremely flattering in my spandex.

We really did like coming here, despite the many eyes that followed me, both workers and customers. Maybe because I always came in with sweats, or I just woke up? I dont know.There was a Sunday morning where we decided to come in, purchased some coffee and sat down. Again, did not feel welcome at all. As I sat there on my phone, one of the workers, some guy with long black hair, stared me down as he approached a table to clean it. He stared me down as if I made the mess. I had to remove myself from the establishment before I unleashed my foul mouth. Please retrain your workers, or said worker, in customer service.

Pros: Amazing espresso / coffee drinks and gourmet quality food, clean industrial modern interior design, super friendly and skilled baristas. Cons: A little pricey for the out-of-the-way location, not a very personal or cozy atmosphere if thats what youre looking for in a coffeehouse.

I am always serviced well here and the coffee is good. Avacado egg sandwich tastes okay as well.

Used to be one of the best places in Long Beach and is worsening of late. Lazy pour overs, espresso that’s just not as good as it used to be, and a really tight-fisted loyalty program. Top that off with the fact that there’s no innovation going on.2 stars seems harsh but compared to what they used to be, 2 stars makes a lot of sense.
