I had this place on my to try list and finally today was the day. I have to admit that it was just like I expected. The food was fresh, very flavorful. Extremely satisfied by the quality and quantity the Greek coffee and pastries were delicious. Extremely happy with this place and of course I will be back to try more food.

The Vegan Skillet overall is tasty. All of the ingredients taste really good alone or with a bite of bread except for the Cherry Tomatoes. Preferentially, I like the taste of Cherry Tomatoes after a bit of cooking, a bit of oil, and a bit of garlic. In the Vegan Skillet of my order, the Cherry Tomatoes are so hot, and all I feel like Im doing is consuming Cherry Tomato juices with barely any flavor. In my experience, the less heat--especially with not much seasoning on a tomato, the more flavor. Still, I enjoy my meal overall, and the customer service. Pietris Bakery accepts Samsung Pay.

First of all....the staff is incredible there! The food is great but both combined make this a great location for a wonderful night. As there are so many place with amazing food in California, the people here make all the difference! Dont get me wrong about the food! Giant amount, great flavor and all around 😋 wonderful!

Stopped into Pietris for a quick bite and we were delighted by the amazing food, desserts and service! The Greek burger was delicious and we tried each flavor of the house made pagoto. Our favorite was coconut! The staff was so accommodating and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed! We will be back.

Pietris Bakery is such a nice place to have in the Belmont Shore neighborhood of Long Beach. They have great desserts & coffee here. Nice place to hang out & people watch. You can sit inside or out, they have plenty of space available. Wifi.

I was so excited to try this place - the food looked great in photos and the items sounded tasty. Once our orders came out, that’s when it started to go downhill. I noticed the runner looking frantically for a table number for a specific order. Since we didn’t receive one, I flagged her down and let her know that what she was holding may have been our order, but we didn’t have a number. She rudely told us that we were required to have a number. That’s not our fault that we didn’t receive one! We were a little confused as we didn’t receive a number. After THOROUGHLY going through their system and taking our food back to the kitchen, they let us have our food. The food was literally cold by time we got it. They made us feel like we were trying to steal someone else’s food. That wasn’t even the worst part. We ordered the vegan skillet ended up finding a hair in it. Instead of taking it back, we were asked to point out the piece of hair. Again, why would we lie about having a piece of hair in our food? I’ve never had to point out when there’s a hair in my food. The food was very much so below average. The tofu in the sandwich and vegan skillet were extremely undercooked. More than the food, I was very disappointed in the service that we received at this restaurant.

I had to clean my own table while being ignored by the two waitresses running the restaurant. I added a tip before being served just to get horrible service with a bad attitude. Food is good as always but please hired better staff.

Im not usually a person who enjoys breakfast/brunch items, but my friends always drags for it. And surprisingly almost every item Ive had so far is splendid especially the Athenian Skillet. However I had their baklava which is my favorite and pastry, and it was horrid. I had to stop three bites in, it was sickeningly sweet and drenched in syrup. It got all over my clothes and no matter how many times I washed my hands there always seemed to be more. But I am not turned off to try their other baked goods in the future.

I like this place; the black coffee is delicious and atmosphere is relaxed. You can’t go wrong with fresh pastries😍

Recently held a company party catered by Pietris Bakery in Long Beach California. Food was excellent, perfect proportions, and excellent value! Hot food arrived hot and cold food arrived cold and on time. We are so happy with this restaurant and their service!

Wow. If I closed my eyes and took a drink of the Freddo, I wouldnt know I wasnt in Athens. It was prefect.

I really recommend this place to get a dessert, if you have a sweet tooth this is gonna be YOUR spot 😋 the coffee and hot chocolate are as well

We, two, split a sandwich and fries. But we went mostly for the delicious illy Italian coffee! Both were very good.

Wow what a great place. Lets just get out of the way that this is a great coffee and sandwich shop. They even have little meat and spinach pies etc. To grab and go....Where this place really shines is the bakery and daily specials. Check the pics out but they have three Greek specials that changes by the day of the week. The food is authentic and tastes like my mother made it!!The bakery offers great cakes and desserts but the selection and quality of the Greek items is outstanding. Again check the pics out..wow..... definitely rolling this place into my regular routine....

Unique place, some very interesting menu items. We sampled quite a bit. Some were very interesting and tasty while others were bland and nothing great. Feta burger was top notch. Service was lacking though. Had to routinely wait for long periods to get checked on, drinks, etc. It was actually disappointing in that regard.

Excellent pastries and breakfast foods. My kids really enjoy this place.

Every time I get the chance to come to Belmont shores the last place I I stopped before I go home is this bakery the owners are so nice the people that work there are sweet and nice and the desserts are to die for you can practically have anything in love it

I love the Greek salad for 650 because I got it made fresh and fast and the guy at the was lovely. I felt extremely welcome.

We picked up a steak gyro and some lemon chicken soup and it tasted great!The space looks phenomenal and on a breezy day is super comfy.

Avocado Toast!!!! It was delicious. Portions were huge and the flavor was awesome. This is a must stop for great food (menu was small but perfect) and classy deserts. Will be back...again and again. Oh, coffee was top notch. Cheers!

Not a true Greek pastrie place to eat at. Pastries lack quality and tast, very poor standards of a true Greek restaurant. Baklava looks horrible just like the way it tasted. I wouldnt waste my time again visiting this place..

The lemon merange tart is other worldly. Add a decent cup of coffee and cool breezes and nice background track makes living easy.

Nice place. You order and pay at the counter. They bring the order to you. Tables well spaced. Food is average and so is the price.

A 5 star of course, its a bakery! The treats I got for myself were delicious, I cannot complain. The melomakarona was better than any cookie Ive ever had. The portokalopita had a nice orange flavor, spongy like consistency, and very moist cake.The service was great as well, I was helped fast, and did not have to wait more than 30 seconds to order. It was busy in there but there was no line. It was loud and everyone in there had smiles on their faces, probably because they were enjoying some of their favorite desserts and baked goods, hahaha! I would highly recommend this place, if you have that sweet tooth! 😉

The best place we found in Long Beach CA, this great bakery had a breakfast that will have you coming back for more. The fresh juices are amazing. The baked goods are top notch as well. The best part they are open Until 2am so you can indulge in thier high quality gelato! Definitely a must try when in Long Beach.

Get a Bagel sandwich 🥯 everything was actually fresh from this bagel I got- the eggs, bacon and cheese melting over. The sandwich is actually huge and you could with someone.

Pre-covid this place had very friendly and good service..now service is none existent and food was cold

No good impressions. First of all no one to answer the phone at 1/23 @ 8pm. Wanted to order pies for that same night rather than grocery store pies. Staff didnt seem busy when I got there. Went across the street instead. Gave a chance that didnt work out.Shouldnt have to call 5 times.

Even though their vegan options were very limited, the vegan skillet did not disappoint. Very friendly, helpful staff.Will be visiting again in the near future for another vegan skillet breakfast.

Beautiful, delicious, coffee perfect, incredible service.

I used to be a long time customer here but lately the customer service is non existent here and they definitely do not know how to confirm online orders, so when you arrive to pick up your food the order is cancelled.

We feel like were not in the US when we eat here!

I was today at this resturant order avocado Toast it was full of paper flack I asked to change it of course the waiters didn’t want to do it but I insist the bottom line they did change and it took them 15 min to make a new one...avocado toast that I took home ... I couldn’t eat it ..The toast was wet and it feel that nobody was happy to make this toast again.... it wasn’t tasty.

Terrific food and service. Highly recommend if you are Greek or if youve visited Greece. Quality and taste in cooked foods is almost authentic whereas in pastries it could be even better.

I travel all over the world & i eat all over the world so you can trust me when i say the food here is delicious!!!!. the bacon wrapped shrimp are delicious but ask for the Marinare a sauce not the chipotle sauce... the sandwiches are delicious ... there fries are very delicious as far a dinner the lamb chops & the steak or even there pastas are yummy!.... and lets not forget all there bake goods breads desserts & even Gelato so many flavors & even a big coffee and wine selection with great service super nice staff with great energey so basically you cant go wrong..... breakfast, lunch, are Diner or for coffee & Dessert so if your ever in Belmont shores this is a must.....great place to eat, ask for Horry hes one of there best servers by far.

I dont like to give poor reviews but I feel like I need to warn people about this place. I ordered a GREEK burger and specifically asked for NO FETA CHEESE please, it came to the table packed with feta cheese and the waitress said I wrote on the receipt no Feta Cheese and I told them No Feta Cheese but they said the Feta Cheese is packed in the hamburger meat already, I dont know why they didnt tell me that when I place the Order. Im Sorry. Really sweet waitress. The tomatoes were SOGGY the fries were hard, barely warm. I went with my daughter, granddaughter and husband and didnt want to disappoint anyone so I stuck it out. My granddaughter didnt say anything but I noticed she only ate two bites of her burger and asked for a doggie bag for the rest. The pastries are old and dry; the place could use a good cleaning. I recommend closing the place down, there just ripping people off. Later I asked my husband what he thought of his food/order and he said It wasnt good. Save your money and have a nice lunch in one of the many good eateries on Second Street. Dont WaSTE your time and money $$$.

This was my first time there and didnt know what to get our waitress suggest the chicken wrap and feta fries (best combo ever!) All the staff were friendly and nice. Definitely will be back soon.

When you see Greek people also eating here, you know its going to be delicious! Friendly quick service, and amazing Greek food. Highly recommend this spot if youve ever been to Greece and love the food and people. Plan on taking some baked goods home after you see the variety!

I bet their food is great but was never attended to. The bakery cashier was very helpful. But the server was just chillin and never came up.

To echo what some other reviewers have pointed out, the food is decent but the place is dirty.On my visit, their rightmost desert display had over 10 flies. Im surprised they didnt empty the display and clear them out. Either way, you can receive better service/food quality at the same price point elsewhere.

I love this place. It would get absolutely five stars if the service was a little faster. Great bakery. Excellent coffee as well as Turkish coffees. Very nice design. You can tell the owner put a lot of investment into this restaurant. One of my favorite places in Belmont shore. Price is very reasonable.

One of the best places I have ever been in USA

We stumbled upon this place by accident, merely because we were looking for someplace to take our daughter for breakfast. Since we had not been to, or even heard of a Pietris before, we decided to give it a try. The food was excellent, and prices are all right, though not especially good or terrible, just average. they have a miniature bakery that on first glance reminds me of a small Portos, but the pastries are more expensive with a smaller variety than Portos. service was excellent, the ambience was lovely, and the entire restaurant was clean and well-kept. If youre in the area, I highly recommend giving this place a try.

Super Yummy!

Food here is delicious but they staff looks under trained and there is zero communication among each other. Got our orders wrong, had to ask like three people for the check and out tables didn’t have silverware so we had to get it ourselves because the waitress never brought it to us after multiple request. It gets quite chaotic sometimes. You’re better off buying straight from the counter and eating at home.

We werent planning on eating here but we saw the lightning and how busy it was so we decided to stop by. The gelato, pastries, breads and cheeses where nicely displayed. The food was good but the desserts were amazing. We will comeback to try more desserts. There was was a good vibe and the staff was friendly. Its close to other shopping and local watering holes.

Theyve got a good amount of vegan options here, and their veggie skillet was really good. Vegan cheese, tofu, and great bread with a side of fruit. Decor was also really nice, and prices werent too bad.

Authentic Greek fare served here along with sandwiches, omelets, burgers and salads plus pastries and gelato. The sweet staff make up for slow service but a wonderful brightly lit cafe on 2nd Street in Belmont Shore neighborhood. Great coffee drinks (iced capucino is dreamy) and fresh fruit smoothies and juices. Offers wine and beer. Fun, welcoming place

This bakery knocks it out of the park! The selection is so great! With such a variety of desserts and pastries there os a consistent delicious taste. We were here for dessert and I cant speak for the rest of the menu. It is a great late evening spot.

I finally found a legit Greek place in Southern California. A lot of what they offer is authentic and stuff you will only find here or in Athens. Great service and I will definitely be back to try out the dinner items.

The moment I walked through the door it smelled amazing! Their baked goods are made fresh daily on site you can see them behind a glass window being made. The finishing product looks like works of art. Their gelato bar look beautiful also it was the best gelato I have ever tried. There was a lot to choose from on the menu,their grilled chicken sandwich was the best the presentation was beautiful the portion size was too much for me had to bring half home. We enjoyed everything about Pietris Bakery! The waitress was super nice as well as the staff we will definitely be going back.

I catered a lunch with Pietris Bakery and everyone raved about it! The greek salad was perfect and I was surprised at how quickly the roasted veggies went. Ill definitely eat there again.

Red Spring desert supposed to be a mousse. May be, but when it was frozen before it becomes not mousse anymore... Texture became like a cottage cheese or even worse... it was frozen 100%. Felt watery. Not mentioning the taste... And finally aftertaste tells me it wasnt very fresh... went to buy a banana to change the bad aftertaste. Very disappointed. Staff absolutely doesnt know what they sell. Had to ask 5 times what was inside their pastries as I got no answer or may be feta cheese. Lady was behaving very relaxed not really paying attention, that I was waiting for her.

My fiance and I started off with two Turkish coffees. When our waitress served them, after about 15 mins, our coffees were cold. Second time around, we got our coffee, but the food took about 45 mins. We ordered two breakfast sandwiches that did not have to take very long because its primarily eggs and cheese! I would only go back here for picking up pastries because the service is not worth the time of day. I understand the holidays are tough, and being a former server myself, I get why feeling bleak in an understaffed establishment is tough to shy away, but this is not how a restaurant should continue.
