I think 2men&truck did good, but I’ve had much better moving company experiences. I think there was a miscommunication about how much needed to be packed on the move day. The team brought boxes and plastic wrap/blankets but no packing material (like paper or bubble wrap). I had pictures and paintings to pack and if I had known how little packing material would be supplied I would have packed those items myself. The moving team also marked up the wall of my apartment trying to move a couch out and didn’t tell me about it -the cost to fix that is likely to come out of my security deposit. They also missed one of the paintings and I am so glad I went back to my apartment and looked around. They left all the nails in the walls from the paintings - I’m not sure if that’s a standard practice or not, but it was kind of annoying. Luckily I decided to spend an entire day packing/moving MOST (95%) of the stuff I had that could be boxed, saving me money on my move. Even with all of that, it took about 6.25 hours for the move (furniture and the 5% I didn’t pack), and I was charged just over $1100 for a local move. Overall, it was a good experience and a successful move, so I’m not extremely dissatisfied. I will probably explore other options next time, but I’d say give them a shot.Update: they broke my couch, so perhaps don’t try them after all lol - I only found out days later that they reassembled it incorrectly and I will have to hire someone to fix it now. Along with everything else I found that was incorrectly done, I’d say don’t use them!

Amazing moving service from Two Men and a Truck team. Manny and Rickey did an excellent job in loading, and unloading and wrapping up items with pads as well. I moved quite a few flower pots and raised beds with moving truck and to my surprise, they all came in as is.. Happy with their service. Lastly Two Men and a Truck team provided all insurance docs requested by HOA in no time. I must appreciate them on that. They did a great job for my move!! Good luck!!

They quoted me $10,000 to move a very small, already packed-up one bedroom from SF to Seattle. This is substantially higher than quotes I’ve gotten from other, well-reviewed moving companies. When I tried to confirm the quote, they told me “even if it was one item, this is our ballpark for a move of this distance”.I know how time-consuming it is to find + get quotes from movers, so just sharing to hopefully save other price-sensitive folks the time.

I was really stressed out about moving and systematically getting all of my possessions to my new apartment while working. A friend suggested Two Men and a Truck. It ended up an exceptional choice. The guys who showed up for the move (Danny B, Daniel, Manny, Jon V, Tyler, and ?) really knew their job. They were extremely systematic, fast, friendly, and efficient. Further, they could tell I was nervous and talked me through the process. They put me at ease, made me laugh, and most importantly made me feel confident that everything would work out fine. It did. Again, they are quite talented in visualizing and strategizing what needs to be done, and communicated with me at each stage (which helped me to relax). Moving is never fun but working with these guys made the process completely manageable. I would strongly recommend using them if you are looking for a moving company.

I hired 2 Men And A Truck Livermore to move me from my SF apartment to storage in June. My movers recommended I use 2 Men & A Truck’s storage facility. When we arrived at their facility, it was an empty, dirty room in their office with orange, plastic, fencing between it and an adjoining room. Definitely not ideal, but it had a lock on the door, and the move was so expensive I couldn’t afford to have them move me somewhere else.3 mons later, I called to schedule time to drop off items before I left the state the following week for 6-8 mons. On this call, the office manager informed that their building had been sold, and that I had to move! I was happy to move if they found me a comparable storage unit, and moved me into it. She agreed and not long after, emailed me 1 not comparable storage option. When I explained this wouldn’t work, she told me comparable units were hard to find, but that if I found 1 in their region, they’d move me into it. Not only had Two Men And A Truck dropped an emergency in my lap, but also the prospect of paying for a move 3 mons after paying to move into storage - meaning I would eventually have to pay for a 3rd move when ready to move into my permanent residence. All because I stored with 2 Men and A Truck.Tried to reach the office over the next few days via email, phone and voicemail - no response. By the time I finally got ahold of the office manager it was 2 days before my out of state move. By this time I had found my own storage unit. She confirmed they would move me, and said she’d blocked Fri morning the very first day we spoke (1 wk prior). She called again to confirm my 9:45 Fri move, and asked if it would be ok with me if they moved my stuff out of my storage unit onto the truck Thurs evening. I gave them permission. On Fri, at 7:30 am as I was leaving to drive the 2 hrs to meet the movers, I got a call from a mover saying that my 10:30 move (it was 9:45) had been rescheduled. And because “it was dropped on our calendars the day before,” they couldn’t accommodate me because “they don’t have a truck.” I explained that this wasn’t possible because the office manager had told me she put it on the calendar last week, and that my stuff had been loaded on a truck the night before. Both, he said, were untrue, and now Sat - the day of my out of state move - was the soonest they could get around to moving me. I told them it needed to happen today as I was promised, and was told he would get back to me. By mid-morning I hadn’t heard anything, and decided to go to their office. When I got to their office, I walked to my storage unit and saw someone else’s stuff inside! And someone else’s name on a sign on the door with a move-in date 27 days after I had moved my belongings into that space! My stuff was sitting in BOXES around their office! I asked when my stuff was moved and was told it was boxed the day before. However, I later asked the guy who told me he had personally boxed my belongings, and he said he’d moved it “several days ago.” It appeared that someone else and I were both paying 2 Men And A Truck for the same storage space - shady at best, fraud at worst. And my stuff (including my personal files with tax returns, etc) were sitting unlocked in their office.I let the mover & office manager know my things needed to be in a locked facility. They agreed to start loading at 6 PM to move me into my new unit. Unfortunately, my & every other unit in a 40 min radius closed by the time they finished. And after the mover spent the entire day telling me to move me on Sat, they were suddenly not available until Sun. My stuff was left to sit on their truck in the hot sun, and I had to delay my out of state move by 2 days. This company is TOTAL CHAOS! The blatant lying, complete disrespect for me and my belongings, and breach of contract in moving my stuff from a locked unit without even communicating with me, and charging me and someone else for the same space is downright shady – if not fraud. NEVER doing business with 2 Men and a Truck again!

Two Men and a Truck were available in a week, luckily there was a spot open for me on a Saturday. They were able to fill me in. The guys came out on time. The loading took a bit longer than I had hoped, but they did a good job; only a minor scratch on our table top.We were packed to the edge of the truck and the move went smoothly through 44miles. One clay pot didnt make it, we didnt put it in a good spot. Unloading was quick and total time start to finish came out to be almost 8 hours. Thats with us already wrapping our big items and getting them ready to load. If you have 2 bedrooms plus, expect to go about 8 hours or more.

The team Lead, Jon B., was solid, I really liked him. Unfortunately for the nearly $6k we spent I expected, and was told, our furniture and boxes would be put in the desired locations, this did not happen, in fact night-stands were left facing the wall and the master King bed was off-centered. I will say Ops management had a team come by and correct this, which was appreciated. But also, boxes marked for varying locations in the new residence did not make it to the denoted areas, which then I had to move. All-in-all, I will not re-hire this mover again when I move in a year.

The location to the pick up site was challenging and I was also bringing a large motorcycle which they were very accommodating with. They met all my needs and went above and beyond. The two movers who drove the 9 hour drive to my location( Brandon & Andre) were very professional. If I ever have to move again I’m calling and requesting these guys. I had a small 1BR move to a neighboring city. Unfortunately, I underestimated how much stuff I’d be hauling, and once the smaller than expected truck showed up, I was originally concerned that we wouldn’t be able to make the move in one trip. However, Daniel and John O worked to ensure that we’d get it all loaded and only have to make one trip. Daniel ended up having to break down my desk to get it to fit, and he did so and put it back together later in a professional, quick manner. The guys were fun, professional, and did a great job. I had called a few other companies that either refused to move the equipment or required full disassembly of the machines, which i refused. Unfortunately, my move did go over weight requiring another moving truck but John was able to strategically remove the heavier items that required minimum space so that the second shipment would be in a smaller Van type truck, saving me some money in the process. I have used this company 4 times over the past year and have found the moving crews to be really professional and effective. We worked with Keith and Sydney several times and they were totally great. Nothing was broken or damaged over the course of any of the moves - which im honestly just really surprised by. The office staff is also good at providing needed info and is responsive. Would definitely use them again (hopefully in the distant future).A few general tips after my year of many moves :) - even with everyone moving efficiently, moves always take longer and more material and boxes than you anticipate, so plan accordingly and know that you will need more boxes, more bubble wrap and more time to get it all done. Start early. Label your boxes and furniture so its clear to the movers where things go on the other side. Also, snacks, drinks, burgers, tips can be a really nice gesture for the people who are helping you relocate all of your belongings. And wear a mask :)

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!! I have NEVER written a bad review for any service or company ever. I have worked in hospitality for over 10 years so I am a pretty understanding & patient person. I am the type of person to tip over 20% at every restaurant no matter what but these people don’t deserve half of the money they’re charging. We live in a 1 bedroom apartment and hired them to move a queen bed, a chaise lounger (2 pieces that you pull apart and stick together with velcro, nothing fancy), 3 TVs, a dresser, 2 nightstands & a table and chairs. NO BOXES!! I had already moved them into the new place. Two people show up with OUT masks (WE ARE IN A PANDEMIC ITS THE LAW AND THEY ARE LOCAL, THEY KNOW) and take FOUR HOURS to WRAP the furniture. The “men” are messing around joking taking pieces one by one TOGETHER killing time because they make you sign an hourly contract ( SCAM!!!!!!!!!!!!) after that they needed to take a lunch break, completely understandable. They arrive at the new place, AN HOUR LATER THAN WE WERE TOLD, (again they’re on the clock) they say they’ll be an hour tops! We have the elevator locked for them so they have it open to use and don’t have to wait, they start taking ONE PIECE at a time TOGETHER again & my bf is bringing up stuff faster and more efficient than them. Come to find out they unlocked the elevator to waste more time so they have an excuse having to wait for it. One of them asks for a phone charger because his phone died using it so much instead of working!!! it took them OVER 8 HOURS TO MOVE A FEW PIECES OF FURNITURE AND NO BOXES!!!!!! the total ended up being twice as much as we were quoted. I have never dealt with anyone more unprofessional or inefficient in my life. We would have saved money if we would have just bought new furniture instead of having them move it. DO NOT USE THEM!!!!!

Price check before going with this company. My partner and I were making an out of state move, granted the move is in the middle of the summer where moving and prices are at their peak.We filled out a form for an online quote, waited two days and did not hear back from them. When we finally called, whoever answered the phone was short and rude the entire time. They quoted us $7,500 a move from Northern California to Washington state. For comparison, we had quotes ranging from $2,400 -$4,000. We tried to negotiate the price down, especially because we kept hearing how good of a moving company they were; they wouldnt budge. It was clear they didnt want our business.Do your homework before handing over any money to these folks. I can understand were at peak moving season, but the customer service alone was atrocious. Even if there is a high demand and trucks may just not be available, that encounter could have been much better explaining why the price was so high, better attitude, etc.

Beware these movers, and specifically do not rely on the Full Protection Coverage that Two Men and a Truck offers to sell you to cover the cost of damages to your valuables and electronics.I moved the contents of my 1 bedroom apartment in San Francisco to a new apartment, literally blocks away, on October 19th.Before the move occurred, I disclosed to Two Men and a Truck that I had many electronic items of value in the move, including several televisions. While I packed the remainder of my items personally, I left these electronic items (monitors, televisions) for them to pack, under the impression that professional movers would be more than capable of protecting these items better than I would be.I was directed that the best course of action to additionally protect my goods would be for me to purchase Full Protection coverage, for an additional $90, from Two Men and a Truck, and this coverage promised Two Men and a Truck would ..repair, replace, or compensate up to the current market value to replace the item with a kind/quality item., which ..is best if you are moving high valued electronics. This coverage came with a $250 deductible. I also purchased two TV boxes from Two Men and a Truck directly, to enclose my highest-value televisions, at a cost of $35 per box.During the course of my move, the question of whether or not I had purchased insurance coverage came up between myself and the movers. When I mentioned that I had purchased full coverage, one of the movers seemed very happy, and commented extensively that it was very smart for me to have done that. I didnt think anything of that, at the time. The next day, after my move was done, the daylight entering my window revealed the movers had bent the corner of my 65 LG C9 OLED TV (11 months old, at the time of the move), rendering it destroyed. Additionally, a slatted furniture door that I had separated for blanket wrapping was in pieces. I disclosed these damages immediately to Two Men and a Truck, very relieved that I had purchased Full Coverage, just in case such a thing had happened. On November 5th, I was first offered a claim settlement of $1020.00, with $100 allocated to the replacement cost of furniture door, and $920 allocated to the replacement cost of the television, less the $250 deductible. I explained to Two Men and a Truck that I could not purchase a replacement 65 LG C9 for $1,170.00. The television, an LG OLED65C9PUA, currently sells new, from a major retailer with stock and delivery to my area (Best Buy), for $2199.99.Two Men and a Truck offered to adjust the settlement to the value of another LG C9 that is selling on eBay for $1300, less the $250 deductible. The problem with this solution is that the eBay listing is for a television in Indianapolis, IN that cannot be delivered to San Francisco, CA (Pickup only), and is in significantly poorer condition than my television was, as it had been used as a store-display model, with 3,700+ hours of screen-on time. This neither satisfies the definition of a replacement (I cannot purchase an LG C9 in Indiana to replace an LG C9 at my home in California), or that the item is of kind/quality with the item that was destroyed (it is in significantly worse condition). Now, nearly a month later, I remain in the frustrating situation of having to continually explain to claims agents (who, as you will discover, are inconveniently located in Tennessee) why compensating me on the basis of the price of a heavily-used TV, stuck in Indiana, would not reasonably constitute a replacement for a lightly-used TV, destroyed by them in California.Surely a company, that is literally entirely compensated on the basis of the difference in value between items at Point A, and the same items at Point B, understands why you cant replace an item with one at another location.Dont make my mistake. Youve been warned.

Two men and a truck is a cash grab company. They came in trying to be professional as possible and nice as possible and i give them props for that; For trying. I warned the operator that made my reservation that i have very heavy furniture and i would like to hire a third man. He pushed against the idea and said itll be fine with two. He was wrong and the workers over estimated how light they furniture would be. They broke a box full of priceless irreplaceable plates. And the Dresser the heaviest piece they almost crushed one of the workers trying to carry it down the stairs. I had to jump in and save him from breaking a rib. But in the process they punched a hole in the back of the dresser. Because of the load and unload was so difficult it took them almost 5 hours. So 700$ later im broke, from the move. And have damaged goods. They said since we packed it, like the operator told us to, we cant get our money back from that and they said they try to repair the dresser even though it is all one piece of wood on the back.

The packing took less time than we expected but a few things were missed but just about 15 minutes of time for us so not too bad. The loading up took a lot of time, more than I expected, but to be honest, no one looked like they were slacking so I think we just have more stuff than I realize. The unloading was pretty hard on all of us after a long day but they kept at it and got it done.

They started out strong! Right on time, excited to get the job done. But by the time lunch came it took my roommate jumping in to get the ball rolling at a reasonable pace. Overall it took 7 hours to move an 850 square foot apartment. They did come in 500.00 under my budget, the guys were kind, respectful and slow. I wish that they wore booties when moving items into my new place, foot prints covered my new floors. (Just a little thing that would have resulted in a large tip. They did get a great lunch and case of beer as a thank you for helping.)

Service was too slow compared to professional standards. It took 2 men almost 3 hours to dis-assemble, load and re-assemble a king bed & couch and a bunch of chairs. They did take care to not damage anything though. The covers for mattress are filmsy, not worth the money. Better would be to wrap the mattress yourself with a cloth or plastic.Note their trucks are too big (13+ft) to fit in apartment parking structures.

The worst business to deal with in my entire life. They are liars, lazy, and as unreliable as it comes. They have essentially STOLEN a 100 dollar deposit from me. And have not moved a single item.I scheduled my move for Saturday, they are supposed to arrive between 12 and 4pm. I am moving half of a one bedroom apartment. Maybe an hour of moving on each side, I just cant do it alone. They call at 445 to tell me that they cant make it. Then the office calls me to confirm that I asked to Reschedule (LIE). The driver who called me earlier lied and said I asked to reschedule. The office puts me on hold and says they are going to get to the bottom of it, but just comes back to say they are going to call the regional manager or something. Never heard back from them.Sunday morning I call the driver from the night before who is getting ready to head out for the day. He talks to his manager and now I am not on the schedule for the day. He gives me a number to call which no one is answering.DO NOT GIVE THESE CROOKS YOUR MONEY.

At approximately 1330 on 10-3-18 I was driving southbound on I -5 near Lakewood, WA. I was passing a large tractor trailer rig on my right. He was doing about 59, and I was doing about 62, to pass. Suddenly, a Two men and a Truck (with a Pleasanton, CA name) passed me at a high rate of speed. Halfway passing me on my left, it made a sudden lane change into my lane without blinkers. At that moment I thought I was going to die. I broke very hard as I was going to be crushed between 2 large trucks, to no fault of my own. By the grace of god, the driver corrected, and went back into his fast lane (What is a truck doing in the fast lane?). I passed him and angrily gave him the 1 finger salute. The driver came out of his seat and cussing and threatening me. I sped up to get out of this dangerous situation. The Two men and a truck began following me - Dangerously close. I hit speeds of up to 74 mph to avoid confrontation. This road raged driver pulled in front of me and I backed way off. I pulled off at the next exit that I could. I watched this truck weave in and out of the lanes as it continued through Lacey toward Olympia, WA. I will be filing a report with the WA State Police as well as every social media outlet that I can find.I cannot speak to their moving service, but if their Driving is any indication of their service, DON’T HIRE THIS COMPANY!

We had the opportunity to utilize the services of Two Men and a Truck twice recently and the men were terrific.Their services are more designed for long haul or whole house moving, but the men were expert in putting complicated items together and were creative when there were no instructions. They were on time and communicative throughout the day i.e.: called when they arrived at the pickup location and then again when they were on the way. They were mindful that we were in a hurry one day and picked up the pace to accommodate our timeframe. So, thank you for your service especially Nathan and Matthew, who were outstanding.Regards,Ashley Anderson and Adrienne Hampton

WOW!!! Where do I even begin. This is by far the absolute best experience I have ever had in my life with any company period. Heres what happened... I was unfortunately forced to move out last minute from my business because things did not work out. I had one day to find movers and went through 30 calls of movers to find these guys. They didnt have anything available but said they would work it out for a late move when their guys get back from their planned move. It took them all day and when 5pm came around they called and apologized that they arent going to be able to help me. They knew I was desperate due to my circumstances and offered me a discount to move 2 days later. I couldnt do that so Mark said hold on, let me talk to my manager. Next thing you know he says well be there. Mark is a dispatcher and his manager came from their desk jobs to help me move! These guys arent even movers! They worked ALL night until very late and were some of the most genuine kind people Ive ever dealt with. While they moved me, they had to continue their administrative work and coordinate movers for the next day. After a long night, Mark let me know that they arent paid for the move like regular movers are but salary, and because of my tough situation hes going to help me with the price. By the time it was time to go, it was too late because my storage access had closed, they said no problem at all well keep it in the truck overnight and take it to the storage unit tomorrow. I swear, if I had the money I would be giving these guys the biggest tip ever. With the way some companies operate now, its good to know that theres still companies like this left. And most importantly, people like this left in the world. I will do everything in my power to make sure every person I know uses them for their move. 10 stars!

Ive used this company multiple times over the past few years and I was always happy with them (even gave referrals) until new management took over. Their dispatch guy, Daniel, is unprofessional and some of their movers rush through the closing process, leaving me noticing chipped wood and scratched after Ive signed off and paid.Dont use these guys. There are plenty of other moving companies to use in the bay area.

Very Unfortunate. I would give negative stars if possible and will be writing a review anywhere I can. I never write reviews but still feel compelled to warn others...This place is a scam...dont believe the family owned/help th needy hype. I will keep this as short as possible in bullet points:1. Overall experience was more stressful than moving myself with pods or using several different companies. Extremely unprofessional. A rip-off.2. Took triple the amount of time promised. I had everything packed and they told me it would be 4 hours..It took over 8..just to load the truck. I helped even and they moved very slow..3. Lost my cat during this time. I told them my 2 cats were drugged for the long drive ahead and to not open the empty bedroom for any reason. Even though I was standing a few feet away, the opened the room letting one cat escape outside. (The other they caught and locked in my closet!) This was the most horrible experience you can imagine during moving.4. Spent the next 2 hours roaming the neighborhood and back woods of neighbors homes looking for scared, drugged, lost cat... Was given no apology or anything.5. Next day arrived very late for unload. After 1 1/2 hours they told me they were taking a 1 hr lunch brake. Huh?6. They asked for a ride to the beach for the lunch break even though I suggested a place a block away. However I was exhausted and wanted to be kind so I gave them a ride. (I cant believe this part)7. 30 minutes later they called and asked to be picked up....(said their boss told them to get back to work?) After picking them up by the beach I knew they were messing with me at this point.8. When returning started rushing and literally throwing boxes down. One open box had a flower pot that cracked in half when he dropped it. When I asked him about it, he said he didnt do anything.9. Never put any boxes in any rooms (as promised). I asked them to and with a huff they moved some into the other rooms.10. When finished, I checked the truck there were still items inside.11. Asked me to sign all paperwork before they were near finishing. When asked about it, they insisted the company makes them do it because they want to go home early? Did not know what he was doing and took forever trying to read the paperwork.12. Left without signing any paperwork.. I had to chase down the truck. He got out and said Oops!13. Here is the kicker: When calling the company and calmly explaining my crazy experience, they promised they would do something. When I asked for a discount from the $3,600 bill, they would only agree to 10%. THEN, the next day I got an email from them saying We are sorry but we cannot give you any discount..14. Followed up with a manager (more time wasted) who insisted thatmy experience was unacceptable and would call me back with what they could do. NEVER DID. When I called back I still got NO CALL BACK, NO FOLLOW UP. NOTHING.SO upsetting, uncalled for, and no regard for peoples time, money, or business. I hope what goes around comes around. I will be writing more to prevent others from being taken advantage of.Hopefully that is the longest and only bad review I will ever feel I must write.

Review №96

The moving crew is obviously the companys saving grace. They were attentive to my needs and mostly followed my instructions. They were overall the best examples of company representation. However a neighbor later reported that she overheard them in the truck deciding if they had waited long enough before going back to the apartment. Troubling to find out after the move was completed. The biggest failure lies with the companys liability of damage. Essentially, THERE IS NONE. $.50 / Lbs basic coverage of damage, a $500 deductible for an $80 policy THAT IS THE CUSTOMERS RESPONSIBLITY, or a $250 deductible if YOU pay the $180 policy fee AND the $250 deductible for damages. If they screw up and damage something (likely damage less than $250) they will pay you $0.50 / lbs for the damage OR its on YOU to pay the deductible. Seriously think about that for a moment.I opted not to buy into their liability insurance and ended up moving my valuables MYSELF. Kind as the crew were, they said they could carry thoes things up the stairs, but I had to tell them they couldnt because of the companys lack of liability on electronic equipment. It was the only way to reduce risk of damage and liability.Let me be clear. The people at Two Men and a Truck were all very helpful and supportive. It is the Company that has failed here, specifically with the insurance policies they offer and balance of their limited liability. Without the virtue of the personal care from the moving crew, risk of property damage would go unchecked and definitely unresolved. This is why I will not be a returning customer.

Crew arrived on time and overall did a good job. The movers were courteous and polite as well as professionally dressed.I understand they move slowly so as to be careful and avoid damage, but they seemed to spend a lot of time in the truck each time they made a trip out to it. I noted in the pre-move questionnaire that we had some furniture that would require disassembly. The crew showed up without any tools. I received a call at work that they needed to borrow my tools so I had to take time off of work to bring them the tools they needed. After the tool issue, things went smoothly. The company credited the time it took to deal with the tool issue wihout any hesitation. They also sent a fourth mover to help speed up the unload, at no charge.Overall we were happy with their service. The movers were very careful and left only one small scuff on a wall which I would say was great since we were moving out of a three-story house! Their office personnel had great communication skills and were very helpful. Their pricing was easy to understand and there were no surprises come payment time. We would use Two Men and a Truck again and recommend them to friends and family.
