I contacted owner of this service center for noise of my right tire side suspension, cause to save money. I already had a bad experience previous repair shop which is changed front strut, but the noise didnt go away. I let him know that its specific part of suspension, I paid $40 for the diagnostic. In few hours theyre gave me estimate of repair for almost $1500 for replacing whole suspensions otherwise theres NO WARRANTYYou dont need to be a mechanic to know Of course after replacing whole system noise go away :((((I have 22 years driving experience and I understand a little bit parts.Strongly dont recommend this center.If you decide to go ask them thoroughly what exactly you want.

Friendly and communicative staff. Sadly skills for electrical and computer arent up to par. Couldnt repair my vehicle or had equipment to reset codes though they did try according to them. On that note I do believe they probably do good work with older makes that dont require as much computer codes. Im only rating my experience as they did not fix issue at all or catch the other issues my vehicle had. I dont like giving mid level ratings unless service was extremely lacking. And this time that wasnt the case. But being that my repairs werent at all repaired, is the only reason for my rating.

Cartech saved our family vacation and were so nice and accommodating doing it!We (a family of four) had our car serviced before a recent vacation to the Eastern Sierra before leaving. Among other things, we had a rear brake job done. While passing through Livermore on a Saturday afternoon, the car began to vibrate with a very low frequency rumble - clearly something was wrong.I called Cartech at around 2:15 pm and, even though they were scheduled to close at 4 pm they said come on in. They quickly identified that the parking brake had been overtightened, causing excess friction in the right-rear brake and damaging the rotor. They also identified that the front brakes were badly worn and, given the mountain driving to come, might warrant replacement.They fixed the damage to the rear brake without charging any labor, just parts for the rotor replacement and replaced the pads on the front brakes for a very reasonable price. They test drove the car before giving it back to us and measured the temperature of all four brakes before signing off on the work. We were back on the road by 4:20 pm.All through the process the owner and his children (it is a family run business) were as nice as could be.While on vacation in the Sierras, we put the brakes through their paces over mountain passes via winding roads with long and steep descents. Through it all, the brakes performed flawlessly.If Cartech were closer to where we live, it would now be our go to mechanic shop.Thank you, Cartech! Thanks to you, we had a wonderful time after you saved our vacation (on such short notice!)

They are excellent. When I had an emergency repair they were the only ones able to help the same day. Next time I used them their quote came in 60% below my former mechanic, saving me $1500. Once they accidentally quoted me for 2 leaf springs instead of 4 on a big job, but they noticed and threw in the extra parts and labor for free. Plus they are friendly and happily provide drop-offs and pickups.

Best mechanic around!!!! Very honest and hard working they have always came threw for me! I have a 2000 Volvo and my check engine light came on AGAIN. I ran the code and it told me I had a evap leak wich I had fixed before the first time they gave me a new fuel cap and Re attached some fuel hoses and this time they ran the smoke test again for no charge and fixed my car back to new THANKYOU SO Much!!!!

My wife and I have taken our car here a few times and have always been pleased with the friendly accommodating service and reasonable pricing. Most peoples fear of mechanics and other trades (mine as well) is finding someone you can trust. No worries here! We recently took our car in to have the squeaking brakes looked at. We were quoted a price up front should front, rear, or all pads need to be replaced (included resurfacing of rotors), and extra for rotor replacement. Much to our surprise, we received a call from the shop stating that the pads were still good, and the squeaking was only a symptom of heat. We were not charged anything for this diagnosis. We were prepared to spend something for replacement or at least assessment, but were pleasantly surprised to be told nothing was due. That is the right way to do business, and we wouldnt take our car anywhere else. Thanks Cartech, well be recommending you guys to anyone we know needing automotive repair services. Top notch!

My daughter’s car broke down in Livermore on her way to San Francisco late Friday night.I called in the morning, and they were able to squeeze her in, install a new alternator, and get her back on the road before noon.I am very grateful for their kindness, understand, and quick service.As a father concerned with her safety, they put me at ease and took very good care of her and her car.

I have never been more happy to write a review! I called Eda several times about a pre-purchase inspection inquiry. I was planning to look at some used cars in livermore and wanted to have a good mechanic in the area available to take a look at them. The owner was incredibly kind and took the time to speak to me on the phone and answer some mechanical questions and concerns, and offered to check both cars for me at an extremely reasonable rate, and the same day! Eda answered all of my questions and my multiple calls with such kindness. I did not end up finding a car in livermore, so I was not in need of the pre purchase inspections afterall, but have never experienced such amazing customer service!

Weve been taking our four vehicles to Cartech for years now. They are fabulous! Rafael and his crew have handled everything from putting a rebuilt engine in one vehicle to letting us know that the gas cap was being cranked down too tight causing the check engine light to come on- no charge for that one despite the time it took them to check it out! Theyve always charged a reasonable rate for whatever work they have done. Somehow despite always having a bunch of vehicles to work on they get our vehicles back to us asap- seldom more than a day.

Fast, easy, cheap, and moral. These guys are more competent than dealership techs, and they have a genuine interest in ensuring that the hunk of metal that you drive out of their shop will be safe. They will repair any very small (but critical) problems for free over the course of their involvement with your vehicle. In addition, their prices are extremely fair, and they can get you in and out as fast as you can communicate your problem to them. If they arent too swamped, they will also provide cab service. Their work comes with the typical 1 year warranty.This is a thorough, experienced, and caring shop. Highly recommended.

I selected Cartech to complete an oil change based on good YELP reviews and I was not disappointed. I made an appointment with the nice woman that answered the phone and they were able to accommodate my quick need for service. The owner, Rafael is a genuinely nice man that you feel you can trust. Although I only needed an oil change today, I will return for additional service to my car as it becomes needed.
