I stopped by last Thursday to get a ring sized. Because they were about to close for vacation for 2 weeks, they took care of my ring in about an hour! They are ALWAYS friendly, accommodating, and treat everyone as their most valued customer. Certainly worth the drive.

I bought my wife a beautiful ruby and diamond ring for our 40th anniversary last year. This year, I bought her a very nice necklace for our anniversary. She loves them both. We also bought our granddaughter diamond earrings for her birthday! I love the family atmosphere here and like spending my hard-earned money at mom and pop stores, rather than a box store or national branded jewelry store. Oh, and I got to play the beautiful baby grand piano as well! We’ll see you soon!

After enough bad experiences working with big box jewelers, I wanted to only use a local family run business. I worked with Danwerke over a couple of months to custom design an engagement ring, and they made the process enjoyable and affordable. They have a dedicated jeweler in house that has stood behind their work and always offer free ring cleanings whenever you stop in. They communicate well and build a relationship with their customers.

My mother passed a few months ago. While she was under hospice care and following her death, I needed a great deal of help with jewelry and watch appraisals. The folks at Danwerke were the best!! They were friendly, accommodating and very professional. I love their store! It is full of beautiful and unique time pieces along with a wide array of very fine jewelry. I benefited from their appraisal services. I wholeheartedly recommend this establishment!

Excellent experience! Based on reviews here, I took 3 watches in for battery replacement (one I havent been able to have serviced by others). Done very well at a great price (w/ warranty). Even received a complimentary candle that my wife really likes. This is my new place to go for jewelry and watch repair. Nice store with friendly people.

I stopped by Danwerke (after a Google search) simply to get a professional opinion of an antique clock and several pieces of estate jewelry Ive recently acquired. Ended up spending over half an hour (at least) in pleasant conversation with all present while also admiring all the lovely merchandise there -- in the end I got all the answers and information I was desiring, absolutely free of charge. Im SO glad I also brought along a couple of more modern watches that needed new batteries, so I could at least donate a little something to their cash register during my visit too -- Ill definitely be taking the clock back there sometime soon to have it repaired and restored, probably also at least one or two of the jewelry pieces for proper appraisals.

Perfect! I came here for the first time to get my friend’s watch repaired and had such a nice experience.I was greeted by Patrick and introduced to the whole staff which includes the cutest little Yorkie pup ever. By far some of the best customer service I have ever had the pleasure of doing business with. My antique watch was repaired as is now in remarkable condition. The timeline and cost for repairs was not unrealistic, just understand quality takes some time (pun intended). Would and will definitely recommend to everyone!

I purchased my wifes engagement ring when we were starting out. it was a very conservative 1/3 ct princess cut on a 14k white gold band. over the past 11 years she has picked up running, first as a hobby and now as a passion. and has lost about 60lbs over the past 2-3 years. her ring kept slipping off, during tennis matches, while brushing her hair. we never got around to resizing it. and one day getting ready for work it slipped off one too many times. and the diamond popped out. luckily we found it. three of the four prongs that were holding the diamond in place were broken. i thought about upgrading but didnt know how to approach the idea, since its not like she didnt want to keep the diamond she wore on our wedding day. i went to patrick and he came up with the idea of building a bed of millimeter diamonds and nestling her rock in the centre. he said she will love it. so while we were having it resized, we surprised her with a very beautiful ring, her ring upgraded and absolutely beautiful.i would not have come up with the idea of a beautiful bed instead of the standard prongs, not on my own. that was patricks brilliance. the turn around was about 20 days because they had to build the bed from scratch for her ring and resize the ring to fit her finger. she now has a beautiful ring, just stunning, and she didnt lose the rock or the band that she was married with.if you are looking for a ring, they have some great choice items. and they can custom build one or rebuild your current one.if you are looking for pearls and earrings, they have those in spades.i could not recommend danewekes enough.

I had an antique mantle clock repaired here. This is, as far as I could tell, a family run business and everyone was very friendly. My clock required extensive repair, so the job took several months. They were very knowledgeable and did a good job explaining the work that needed to be done as well as any other problems that might be encountered. Also, their estimate of the cost of the repair was accurate. The clock, which was not functional before, is now keeping time nicely and is fully functional. I am very pleased with their work and would not hesitate to recommend them to a friend.

Brought several watches in for battery replacement. All batteries were replaced, and time/date reset within an hour and a half.Additionally, one of my watches had a loose face, the jeweler expertly restored the watch to pristine condition.Im very happy with my decision to bring my watches to Danwerke and will be a repeat customer!

They were very helpful with the repair of our Grandfather clock. They provide excellent customer service. They communicated with us along the way to keep us informed. I highly recommend their services.

I guess you have to buy expensive jewelry to get a good price on a watch repair. They charged me $27 simply to replace a battery in my Timex Expedition--something my local jeweler in NC did for free several months ago. When I raised my eyebrows at the charge, the owner explained the lithium battery was $15. You can get the battery at Walmart or Amazon for 3 bucks! Not a good experience for me.

I love everyone there. They remember you and treat you like family. They have the biggest selection and it’s not like any other. The prices are excellent too. I have my watch batteries changed there and they can fix any of my old jewelry. When I brought in an anklet that had broken, they called to tell me there were other weak spots and it would probably break again rather than fixing and taking my money. That’s what I call putting the customer first. I’ve been doing business with them 8 years and I won’t go anywhere else.

I have truly enjoyed getting to know this family and their wonderful store! I started shopping here due to my owning antique clocks and many of them needing repair. They carry a selection of clocks, a few antique peices, beautiful jewelry and some custome made pieces. I love their candle selection too. I recently purchased a clock and changed my mind about it. They worked with me with no problem and I ended up walking out with a fabulous ring I had been wanting in the past instead. I have trusted Danwerkes Jewelers for a long time. Through the years I have purchased earrings, bracelets and a necklace or two. About 10-12 years ago I asked Robert, Danwerkes master craftsman to make my engagement ring into a style more suitable for work.. his creation took my breath away. Yesterday, it happened again when I picked up the ring he created from antique sapphire ring and a 3 stone diamond ring. His design is spectacular!!! What a talent!! Everyone associated with the family business is smart and super honest!!

Got batteries for several watches done at one time. They gave a discount because I had several andwere timely getting them back to me. They also fixed one that i have alot of trouble with. I had a WONDERFUL experience! I had a platinum band engagement ring with a solitaire and had been looking at many jewelry stores for options to upgrade my setting. I am very sentimental and It wasnt until I came across Patsy, Pat and Robert at Danwerks that I felt someone understood that aspect. They were VERY creative and suggested a custom piece that would allow me to keep my ring! Robert designed a stunning setting to match my wedding band and even matched the tiny millgrain trim! Unbelieveable customer service from the entire staff and I have to mention they were the ONLY store that didnt try to sell me an expensive new setting. They sold me what they felt would make me happy. Danwerks has lots of other wonderful items in their store like beautiful hand carved knives, costume fashion jewelry, great selection of watches, clocks and many other items. I will definitely shop there for wonderful gifts and certainly more things for myself😉

Response to their response:First, we were never quoted a price on our idea of the three rings, and it is sad you would lie about that. Let me also mention that you lost our quotes and had to quote the prices twice. My fiancé could not close his fingers with the first version of the ring, so we spoke to the jeweler instead of a salesmen. Lastly, you crafted a ring that would not allow my fiancé to close his fingers, and demanded we pay additional cost to fix it, and that is bad business. The cost of the ring and cost of correcting your mistake is irrelevant. A customer should receive a ring that allows them to close their fingers and that is the bottom line. I am disappointed.We came to the jewelry store to request a custom mens wedding band. We had an idea but the owners came up with a different way to make the ring. When we received the ring it looked rediculous, and the jeweler had to spend 7 hours fixing their mistake. The jeweler even admitted that he thought their idea was terrible and he wished he had called us. My fiancée couldnt close his fingers with the ring on after the first production. Not only did they charge us $815 for the initial ring, but then they had the audacity to charge us for the labor of fixing their mistake. Their excuse for charging extra labor was that it was costing them extra money! If they make a bad product, you pay for it! Ive never had a worse jewelry experience.
