The amount of 5 star reviews speak for themselves. This was easily some of the best ice cream I have ever had. I had their s’mores flavor and it was out of this world!

I wanted it to be great. Unfortunately, it is not. The ice cream flavors we chose really did not taste great (coffee and blueberry lemon special mix) and they do not have shakes or malts, or anything other than scoops. They did have interesting flavors and other reviewers did seem to like it- so take our experience for whatever it’s worth. There are only a limited number of flavors (very few traditional) and they were out of waffle cones. No one was wearing a mask, and as I entered there was a big sneezing fit going on by one of the customers. Staff also was not wearing a mask. Overall, not a great experience even though the location is in a new development. Overall I cannot see this business staying around very long. It’s too bad I really love ice cream!

This ice cream place is the best! I got their seasonal flavor of I Carrot About You and a scoop of the cinnamon snickerdoodle. Both were amazing. The carrot cake one was the best ice cream I have ever had. I couldnt get enough of it. It was a little expensive but definitely worth it! Highly recommend!

The shop itself isnt much to look at on the inside but thats not what matters, their ice cream was delicious. They have some limited time specialty flavors that include some local treats. I got the red velvet and been knees flavors and loved them.

I love that Lincoln has another great ice cream spot! I had the Life’s a Peach complete with huge chunks of peaches and oat streusel - highly recommend. The staff is super nice and they’re open until 8 every day except Monday.

They have the menu well marked for different dietary restrictions and the flavors cover the whole spectrum of preferences! Stopped in tonight after dinner nearby and thoroughly enjoyed my midnight munchies ice cream. Unlike any other ice cream Ive tried elsewhere! Sweet + salty, so rich and flavorful. Grateful for the kiddie size because it was the perfect amount for me. Reasonably priced too! Friendly workers too. Will be back next time work brings me to Lincoln!

I’d highly recommend the fudge brownie ice cream and the waffle cone has great flavor, the perfect crunch, and perfect thickness. I have also had monster cookie ice cream which came studded with giant pieces of soft cookie dough and tons of candy pieces in every bite. The flavors are all creative and decadent, they really don’t hold back. The new location is super cute and convenient.

I want to open up with, I am an ice cream connoisseur. I have tried ice cream from far and near to figure out that the locally-owned ice cream store, 402 Creamery in Lincoln NE, is my favorite by far. It has earned multiple spots on my top 10 ice cream flavors list. I use to go to Ivanna cone which is around the corner until 402 Creamery opened up and I have never looked back. This was one of the best ice cream stores Ive been to! The ice cream was really rich, and the scoops were big, so one scoop was more than enough. I tried one of their seasonal flavors, but there were so many interesting flavors I didnt get to try.

While at work, on break and walking around at the Haymarket I noticed this ice cream shop so my goal after work was to try it. Went in, greeted quickly and served quickly. I tried The GOAT (made from goat milk) and it was seriously super delicious. I’ve always liked goat milk and never had it as ice cream and 10/10. 🐐

Expensive but the ice cream is always fresh. They serve their scoops with a small cinnamon flavored waffle chip. I love the flavors but once they sell out for the day, they are gone until tomorrow.

This is a great place to satisfying a sweet craving or finish out a summer evening in Lincoln. They have a variety of options to meet dietary needs of all kinds. They also have straight up OG Ice Cream flavors that will leave us drooling like Homer Simpson does when thinking about doughnuts. Everything is fresh, wholesome, and delicious!

Phenomenal ice cream. Creamy and full of flavor. The texture is perfect and it has excellent added ingredients that compliment each flavor. We live out of town and so the ice cream had to be shipped to us. It kept very well when it was delivered. Definitely worth it. Hoping someday it will become the (419) Creamery too!

They highlight flavors from other local establishments such as using pies from Blue Sky bakery in their specialty ice cream flavors. Prices are reasonable. Staff is friendly.

Went there and personally loved it. I chose the mint chip and the dark chocolate. The dark chocolate was the best I have ever had. My friend had the dairy free rocky road. She asked if it was actually dairy free because she has issues with lactose. Either that flavor isnt actually dairy free or there was cross contamination with the ice cream scoops. My friend had a lactose reaction within two hours of having the rocky road.I would have rated this place as a 5 but Im afraid that they cant advertise a dairy free flavor when it may not be dairy free. Or if they are just going to use the same scoops that were also used for the regular ice creams.

Love going here during the day! Just a few blocks from the office. They have amazing regular flavors, and always have something different for their rotating flavors. I think theres something for everyone!

Great local ice cream shop. Stopped in on a cold day w my wife and we really enjoyed our flavors - S’mores and Cookie and Cream w cookie dough. It was very delicious. Was visiting on a trip through town but would definitely come back if I was a local or frequent visitor. Owner was very friendly and all flavors sounded great! Very generous scoops.

Absolutely worth a stop anytime youre near the Haymarket. Best ice cream around hands down, with the added benefit of taking credit cards! Their signature menu is all great, and every rotating flavor Ive had so far (quite a few...) has been phenomenal. Stop in for a scoop and take home a pint, you wont regret it.

I bought the monster cookie flavor at the A street market and was caught off guard by how great the flavor was even though it wasnt fresh at the shop. This place has the most delicious ice cream Ive ever tasted. I got the scoop and a half size in a cup with the cinnamon snickerdoodle and French kiss (a very rich chocolate) flavors. The store is kind of small and doesnt have great seating, but I would sit on the curb in the rain if it meant I got to eat some of 404 Creamerys ice cream.

Went in on a whim as it was close to our hotel and we felt like ice cream. Had a single scoop of the red velvet ice cream- it had small bits of homemade red velvet cake in it and was DELICIOUS! They also give you a generous piece of a waffle cone with your bowl of ice cream which was a nice touch. Would highly recommend.

This place is a new favorite of ours! We come in to try new seasonal flavors and some of their originals every chance we get. All ice creams are made in house in their modest little kitchen with mostly scratch ingredients...they even make their own cakes, cookies, ganache, waffle cones etc. These small batches of high quality ingredients makes this some of the BEST ice cream we have ever had. Scoops are available in dishes, 3 kinds of cones, and they even have a wonderful tasting option (dine in only) that allows you to indulge in smorgasbord of treats or enough to share with others. There is only room for a dozen chairs and few tables, so most people drop in for a scoop and take it to go. Their prices are a little higher than your average shop, but they reflect the quality, time, and effort put in to every spoonful....AND SO WORTH EVERY PENNY! Service is always friendly and knowledgeable about gluten free, dairy free, and even vegan options. If you like ice cream, this is a must try!

Amazing waffle cones!

I cant have dairy products and this place has AMAZING peanut butter chocolate chip ice cream! The girl at the counter let me sample it beforehand since I am always hesitant about non dairy desserts. They always are gritty or have a wierd aftertaste but this was AMAZING! definitely one of my top 5 dessert moments in my lactose intolerant life! If youre in the neighborhood and want a great dessert, even if u arent lactose intolerant, definitely swing by here! Youll leave a happy camper!!

This is my favorite ice cream shop in Lincol - I love the giant chunks of cookies, M&M, chocolate, etc. that are in the ice cream. So delicious! My favorites are snickerdoodle and monster cookie, but I have never been disappointed. Payment is easy on the Square register. I highly recommend this place!

Such yummy ice cream!!! I had the blueberry granola and it was soooo good. When we were there they were making homemade peanut butter cups for the chocolate peanut butter cup ice cream. One of the employees told us that all of the ingredients are homemade except for the M&m’s and Oreos. Highly recommend!!

So many great flavor concoctions happening here. We came close to closing time on a Saturday afternoon, and it was no lines, no waiting. We had fun trying all the flavors; each one I tried was fantastic!I just wish the hours extended a bit longer to make it more accessible, but I see they’re starting to distribute locally, so my wishes may be granted!
