We have used Carpet Land for two homes now and they dont disappoint. They are great with costumer service, arrive when they are scheduled to, and do quality work. They also have a much larger selection in store than other places.

Absolutely the WORST customer service I have ever dealt with in my life. First time we went in not a single person would give us the time of day. We actually took samples, found one we liked and went back and Connie was sooo incredibly rude, snapping at us and when I told her no one talked to us before so we didnt know the process, she proceeded to in a very rude voice say, sorry you dont feel like you got the service you think you deserve. We even still were going to move forward with the carpet and when we called to schedule the install we were told, well I will see if Connie is available but she is probably too busy to talk. Needless to say, that was the last chance for redemption so we hung up and ended up elsewhere that offered AMAZING customer service and saved us about $300.

We contacted Carpet Land to help with our office flooring. This is by far the best experience we have ever had with a flooring company. Kerri, who helped us find the right carpet, Jeff the owner who answered questions while Kerry was gone, the two men that laid the carpet LATE into the night to get it done, and Jackie who helped me with payment. This staff is FANTASTIC; we will never go anywhere else!!

We were in over a week ago to pick out carpet for our basement that is being finished. The service in the store was ok, but our options were never laid out clearly. Since then, weve had our measurements done by a very nice and professional man, but have heard nothing since. Ive called and left a voicemail with the associate that helped us in the store, spoke to an individual who said he would check on our estimate and call back, and spoke to the man who took our measurements. He ensured me that he had passed along our measurements to the sales associate we worked with. Overall, I am very disappointed in the customer service that we have received from Carpet Land. There are much better options in the area.

We told the sales lady the size of the carpet we needed and that we wanted light to medium gray. She said she had lots of carpet on sale and took us to the warehouse. She ran us thru the warehouse so fast we couldnt even stop and look at anything. She kept showing us dark gray and taupe carpets. All the carpet she showed us had sold tags on them, so she said she would check on that. Then she hurried us back to the showroom, again showing us dark gray and taupe colored carpets. In mid-sentence she spotted a customer she previously waited on who must have been a big spender as she dropped us like a hot potato and went to help that woman. She never did come back to help us or let us know if all those carpets in the warehouse were sold. We took our business to another store.

Our experience with Carpetland was very nice. We had a laminated floor installed in our kitchen. They were right on time with the install date and everything went great. Kelly and Mike did a great job with putting it down. Those guys are a good team. By lunch they were all cleaned up and we had a new floor. Very satisfied.

Timeliness doesn’t really seem to be a priority. Our past experiences with Carpetland have been great start to finish, so we decided to use them for another job in our home. This time around, our experience has been very different, which is disappointing. We have been waiting, checking in daily for our quote. They were out immediately to do measurements, so naturally we thought we could get things moving fairly quickly. Especially since we were told schedules were pretty open. We initially got our quote on Tuesday this week, but after reviewing the quote, there was a minor error that needed a quick fix. When I say quick, I mean that we were very specific that the carpet remnant was to go on the stairs and the stock carpet was supposed to go in the bedrooms. Seems simple to me. They tried to quote us for the stock carpet in all rooms and on the steps. What should have been a very simple error to fix, has now taken multiple days to hear anything back. I’m guessing we were put on the bottom of the pile. We have yet to hear anything. We check back daily hoping for some sort of update. We were told that if the sales person kept bothering the person doing the quote for an update, it would take even longer to get the quote back. Nice. I’m pretty bummed, to say the least. Not sure we will be going back if any flooring is needed in the future after this job is completed. Whenever that is. I’m giving 2 stars because they came out to measure within a day, so that’s the only thing that has gone well for this project so far.Jordan, I appreciate the quick response. My husband spoke with one of the staff several hours ago. About the time of your reply. She was evidently looking into our quote?? But we’ve not heard anything back. Our remnant was marked with a sold ticket last week. If it’s still marked, I don’t know. I hope it is. We picked that specific remnant for our steps because it was the same carpet we had installed in our basement a year and half ago and it’s no longer being made.Lowering to 1 Star. We never received a follow up call from the staff we spoke to this morning who told us she would “look into it” in regards to our quote. I keep thinking that this is what they tell customers to get them to stop calling because we’ve heard it so many times. Hope we can get the carpet installed sometime this year. I just wish they would be honest about being busy and telling us we may have to wait for this or that. I can accept that. But telling us they’re not busy, schedules are wide open and then taking this long to get to us with just the quote, ridiculous.

Id give them 3 and a half stars if I could. They did our basement carpet last year but it didnt really hit snug under the trim so you can kind of see the concrete floor thats under the carpet if you look really closely to the edges where the carpet meets the wall. Not a big deal... but I was surprised thats how it turned out. Then, this year, they did our hard surface upstairs. I really love how that project turned out. They did cut through a power cord during the install.. which was a little frustrating but we got it fixed on our own. Any little issues weve brought up have been fixed or are scheduled to be fixed. Are they the KINGS of customer service? No. I work in customer service so I have high standards. That being said, were talking carpet and hard surface people, not the Ritz Carlton. Overall, really love this place; they are the best price in town but you could probably go somewhere else and get a little more hand holding but pay A LOT more for it.

I had tile and laminate installed in my home. Greg was very patient with me as I returned 3 or 4 times to make a decision. My home was measured in a timely fashion. The subcontractors they sent, Jeremiah and Jake, were hands down the best people I have ever worked with. They did an amazing job and went above and beyond. Very very happy with entire experience!

Carpetland put in the carpet for our offices and not only does it look great, but they were so helpful and conscientious of how everything looked. They asked questions on the styling of how we wanted the squares laid, they even caught that the rooms wouldnt quite match up with the hallways and came up with a great solution for that as well. I was very impressed by their attention to detail.

I have used Carpetland for my home and business. The selection was amazing! The carpet in my basement is about 10 years old and has held up so well. It looks great. We carpeted my office as well and used durable carpet squares that have performed well. When we added on they came out and found several samples for is to choose from that would compliment our original carpet. The installation was quick and professional. We even recommended them for our community center and that turned out beautifully :)

If it werent for contractors who want to keep their business in Lincoln, this place wouldve been out of business long ago. We had to use them for tile and carpet and were disappointed with both. I thought the initial experience with the salesperson was fine, but many of the things that we discussed and wrote down on our file, were not relayed to the installers. Getting them to come back and fix a problem took months. Their prices are absolutely absurd, if you compare them to a place like the Mart. I would be willing to spend more on the same product if you get a higher level of service, but thats the opposite of what you get with Carpet Land. Steer clear!

The feedback we got was basically that this company does not care about its customers and how they are treated by the installers.

Carpet land recently installed carpet for my mother. First, they said the carpet was in stock but it wasnt and had to be ordered. Delay..no big deal those things happened. My 70 year old mother was not able to move the future, the refuse because she had an adjustable bed. Carpet was installed and it was the wrong color. They only believed us after we took the sample they gave us into the store. The correct carpet now had to be ordered. They refused to move any furniture for her...again because of the adjustable bed. Correct carpet came in. By now there was a 4 wk delay. We had long discussions and the only thing they would do was agreed to move the furniture. When the day came they sent one guy who had no idea he was to move furniture and of course didnt. Install took over 4 hours.The salesman admitted to ordering the wrong carpet and knowingly allowed it to be installed hoping that she would be ok with it. They refused to offer any discount on install for their error. We were just asking for a little aknowledgment of the mistake and discount for the inconvenience. Their response was that people make mistakes and thats all it was. Nothing was owed to us for the inconvenience or trouble.Carpet is great. Customer service from Jeff and Jeff was very very poor.

My wife and i own a few houses we rent in a small town so we went in and spoke with the owner. ( didnt know it was the owner till after the sale) After we picked out carpet and plank flooring and explained to him our needs he stopped us and steered us in a better priced, longer wear flooring. This meant less money and longer wear. He then beat his own written sale price and has went out of his way to help us.We will continue to shop here and reccomend Carpetland to anyone purchasing flooring.Very happy customerTroy and Heather

These guys are solid! I met with Jeff the owner and talked to him about carpeting our commercial building. He ran us through several options and steered us toward a commercial grade carpet square. He then showed us a few blemished options (that I cant see the blem, standing her writing this review, I still cant see it!). Anyway, moving to this option, saved us thousands. This company put us first and thats pretty rare these days. Usually, someone sees a business owner and equates it to dollar signs, not here! Thanks for everything guys, I will continue to refer everyone I know your way!!!!

Do not recommend -- I will keep this short, be believe me my opinions could be more detailed.1) Visited store to pick out carpet, person helping was nice and courteous. Scheduled i) the time for them to come measure, and ii) the installation date.2) The measurement date comes around and no one shows up.3) Call in and they claim they did not have it scheduled.4) The installation date arrives, person arrived to house at 10:30 (was quoted b/w 8:30am and 10am).5) The installer installs ONE of FOUR rooms, claiming he wasnt aware of the magnitude of the installation, even though someone CAME to the house and measured,etc.6) First room installed was the wrong color carpet.7) I call in that day to complain; they said oh we will just have to come back out next week -- they apparently dont understand that some people dont want to take off THREE DAYS of work to stay around waiting...8) I call in to confirm full installation appointment and that the carpet color will be correct and get an, I am sure the carpet will be installed correctly this time.8) Carpet guys (much nicer people who have been contracted out) come out and are currently installing...the wrong color carpet, again (but not their fault)/My multiple phone and in-person experiences with carpetland has led to this terrible, and fitting review.

We had a wood floor installed over a month ago and we are still waiting for it to be finished. My husband calls them everyday and they have set up several appointments to finish the job and no one shows up for those appointments. Im seriously confused as to how they are still in business. Tl;dr Im being threatened with legal action because Carpetland is trying to commit fraud by raising the price of my bill three months after the work was completed.I had carpet and vinyl flooring installed in March for a price I thought was agreed upon. The quote was only ever discussed on the phone, and was never sent to me either in the mail or by email. When the paper bill arrived in the mail for the price I was expecting, I promptly paid my bill and considered the transaction complete. Fast forward to July and I receive a new bill in the mail for over $1100, claiming that the first bill was only for a portion of the work, and was not the full amount, despite my memory of the phone conversation, and the lengthy period of time since the work was completed. I immediately spoke with an employee at Carpetland and explained the situation, detailing how I never received any type of quote or price for what they claimed was the grand total, and that I did not feel it was my responsibility to pay for something that was never detailed to me. Recently I received another invoice in the mail, so I called the store once more to discuss the situation, only to be berated by the owner Jeff Lehms and threatened with legal action because of his own business ineptitude. The failure of the business to adequately provide me with a full quote or expectation of costs is not the responsibility of the buyer, it is 100% the responsibility of the seller. To be treated like a criminal simply because Carpetland failed to send me a proper quote or accurately convey the scope of their work is an insult, and I highly encourage everyone to seek out alternative flooring providers or risk being treated the same.Go elsewhere for your carpet and flooring needs. Not only can this business not be trusted, they treat their customers like criminals for not wanting to be taken advantage of.

IN SUMMARY: POOR MANAGEMENT AND UNETHICAL BUSINESS PRACTICES.DETAILS:I did not have problems with Carpetland until it came to billing. The subcontractors did a very good, professional job. Carpetland charged me for two trips, when they only made one. The square yardage of carpet hauled away was exaggerated and given an arbitrary value (they never measured), increasing the haul-away costs. They charged me for upholstery without telling me it would be extra. They also charged me for installation on all carpet ordered, not just the carpet installed- a detail that was never disclosed to me. They overestimated the carpet needed by about 25%, which then lead to 25% more cost on carpet and on installation. When these concerns were brought to Carpetland, they refused to correct the bill for trips taken, carpet hauled away, upholstered square footage and installation costs . After several attempts to resolve the issue with management (I never received a call back after our conversations in which they assured me they would work to address the issue), they put a lien against my house for the $1,200 difference and when I asked them to act on the lien, they filed a law-suit. We are now in litigation over $1,200, an amount theyre sure to surpass in legal fees.

I have been looking for a new area rug for quite some time. I found one I liked at a store in Ceresco but wasn’t sure on the size I needed. I wrote the information on the rug I liked and went home to measure my living room. I went online to find the sizes which it was available and learned there was a store in Lincoln that also sold the rugs (Carpetland of course :) I called them to see if they had the carpet in my needed size and what their prices were. They had the carpet at HALF THE COST! I couldn’t believe it. I went up to Carpetland to make sure it was the same rug and size. Sure enough it was!!! Couldn’t believe it. The salesman was really nice, he even shrink wrapped my rug and put it in my car for me! I would definitely stop here before buying anything!

My wife and I stopped into the store today with our young child (midday on the weekend) and after spending 20 minutes wandering around without receiving any service we left. There were 6 employees in the store and only one other customer who was also helping themselves. It was a frustrating experience trying to pick out carpet without getting customer service. Needless to say, we wont be going back there again.

We purchased ceramic tile and engineered flooring from their sales floor and they performed the installation.The wood flooring we purchased has a great deal of variance in the contrast of the wood and length of the wood strips. Because of this, one would expect the installer to understand the importance of distributing the tones somewhat equally so that one part of the room isn’t all one tone or one size of flooring strip. This was not the case with our installation. No effort was made to vary the sizes or tones of the flooring pieces. Thus, our new wood floors have sections where it is all dark or all light wood as well as clusters of very small strips of flooring (1-2ft) and clusters of very long strips of flooring (4ft). In short, it looks terrible.The problems we encountered with the purchase and installation of the ceramic tile began at the point of purchase. We were told by the salesperson that the style of tiles we were purchasing had a high degree of variance in tone from tile to tile: i.e.: Some tiles were light and some tiles were dark. We chose this product for that reason. Upon installation, we discovered this to not be the case and that the tiles were, in fact, nearly identical in tone; the opposite of what the salesperson had told me.Also at the time of sale, nobody informed me that smaller tiles of the same style were available. Had I known this, I would have purchased some of the smaller tiles to enhance the new flooring.Also, nobody inquired as to how I would like the tiles to be set. Luckily, I was present prior to installation to let the installer know that I wanted them laid diagonally. While this did avert another disappointment, I was still met with an unexpected charge for laying the tiles diagonally. One would think these things would be something that the sales representative would have covered with me as I purchased the tiles and ordered installation.Another problem that I had was the response to my question regarding the warranty. According to the sales representative, Carpetland offers no warranty on their product or installation. According to the installer, he guarantees his work, but only verbally and with the promise that he’ll answer his cell phone if you call. I do have problems and I would like them remedied, but I am hesitant to have him back to my home for reasons that I will cover later.The biggest problem that I have with the installation of the tile is similar to the problem I have with the installation of the wood flooring. It’s obvious that no thought was given to the placement and direction of the tiles as they were laid, which resulted in numerous examples of identical tiles right next to each other facing the identical direction. Again, even a novice knows better than to do that and it looks terribly unprofessional.I don’t know if sealing the grout is part of the installation, but the installer did not seal the grout and explained that he included a waterproofing mixture into the grout, negating the need to seal it. Unfortunately, it’s abundantly clear that the grout is not waterproof, as you can watch water absorb directly into the grout upon contact.Under normal circumstances, I would call the installer and ask him about this, but considering that he took such an angry tone with me when we were trying to get him to finish the installation job in the first place; I’m not particularly inclined to converse with him or to have him back in my home.In closing, I also want to point out that I have never heard of a business of this type not sending someone over to inspect the job prior to billing. Everyone I have spoken to who has had this sort of service performed has informed me that there was a final inspection before final billing. Nobody beyond the installer has come over to inspect the job that was done. This leads me to suspect that the problems I had with their service happen often.
