Helpful staff. But Bad location. And very difficult to load/unload cuz of all the paths and elevators. And horrible to try and maneuver a U-Haul truck in the front and back parking lots... Dont get me started on that MASSIVELY STEEP hill you need to get your U-Haul truck up!!??

I cannot express in mere words the depth of my sincerest gratitude & extreme appreciation for the outstanding, kind & professional customer service I received from Michelle & her team during the hardest, stressful & hectic moves of my life! From the beginning & during the Christmas holiday, Michelles helpfulness, suggestions & positive attitude was like a breath of fresh air & such a pleasant, unexpected surprise in a world that we currently find ourselves living in. Michelle & her teams follow-through kept me updated & informed every step of way til the end with on-site storage. Her sense of humor, (even conveyed through voicemail), lifted my spirit even when I could not readily return her calls. Not built for actual storage... This is more for your great grandmothers night stand and maybe a box full of old paperwork you cannot figure out what to do with. The elevator only fits 1 cart. There is no loading dock. The door to bring in the moving cart is a single door that does not auto open. You are not allowed to prop door open (because the park ranger lady says she feels drafts at her desk) so you have to have more than 1 person with you to assist with opening the door while using the moving cart. The elevator door only stays open for 3 seconds and starts to make loud buzzing sound if open too long (by the time you finally maneuver the moving cart inside it will go off like a fire alarm). Our storage unit was on the second floor in corner. My daughter immediately noticed it was a small hole in the corner and yes, some of our items got wet due to heavy rain. The padding surrounding (because temperature controlled) had holes and rips all over, there were loose wires all over and a strange mesh was over the unit and also killed vertical storage. This is only for bikes and maybe a toothbrush collection, not for actual home storage or moving storage. Took hours to unload half of a truck just because of lack of carts (only 2 are available for entire facility), inconvenient loading door and elevator, and horrible storage area. There were bugs not roaches, I think just regular leaf beetles dead all over the halways. They do have pest control but I think the beetles are coming in the holes in assuming are also in other units along the outside wall.

Helpful staff. Laid back, knowledgeable, and friendly. We were even offered a discount on one future rental after the purpose of renting the truck didnt work out so well (not because of the truck, but because of our ignorance and another businesses access).

Michelle Allen the manager over at this location is rude, condescending and has poor customer service. As a paying customer, She treated me like a thief. No wonder all other reviews about her are this bad. She asked me to leave the store for in valid reasons. I’ll never ever go back to this location or use any Uhaul services. This forsaken demon of a woman needs to be terminated from U haul.

Let me just tell u that Michelle the manager is so awesome! I had an issue with getting my deposit after I dropped off my truck at another location. She went above and beyond to make sure my issue was resolved. She even gave me her cell number to call her direct with any questions. And she was genuinely caring, courteous, and professional and u don’t meet people like that everyday who really cares. She helped turn my very stressful move into a much better ending. If u go to this location, be sure to ask for Michelle because she’s the best. Thank u Michelle!

I walked in and the manager was the only one there and the office was full of customers. The manager had an attitude with several of the customers in line and obvious they snapped back. The manager called I’m guessing an employee to come in to assist and the employee refused. The manager then proceeded to yell at the employee “don’t bother coming in today or tomorrow”. At this point I decided to politely tell her that I will just cancel my reservation and I provided the cancellation information she asked for. I then ask if I need to try and cancel the reservation somehow online to help and she snaps and states “well I don’t know, do whatever you want”. I get that you are frustrated being the only person there, but at the end of the day that’s not my problem. If I was being respectful during the entire conversation, I expect the MANAGER to have that same level of respect and know customer service 101.

My husband and I rented a uhaul trailer yesterday from Michelle. She was extremely professional and courteous. Not to mention, so pleasant to just talk to! We got the trailer and it didnt end up working out so we had to return it back today. She was extremely sweet and helpful. I would recommend this location for all your hauling needs. 10/10 experience. Great customer service. Thanks Michelle!

Personable, excellent customer service. I went through the process of renting a truck online and signed out of my account before completing the purchase, because Id changed my mind. I still received an order confirmed email, however. I called this store, told them the situation, and they generously canceled the order and did not bill me, because they wanted to keep my business. Piss poor customer service had to wait 20 min for the lady to stop watching TV in the back to assist me! I booked a reservation online after hours and got a call from their corporate office the morning of to advise that my desired truck was not available. This location manager Michelle proactively reached out to me and made sure I was able to secure a vehicle. The gentleman that helped at pickup was extremely pleasant and professional and when returning Michelle was there to greet us with a friendly smile. I would definitely use them again based on rates ans service!

I love this place! I have been coming here off and on since 2014. Michelle the general manager is great! Shes always willing to help me out when I need it by giving me a good deal on a storage or a truck. I have had 3 storages here over the years, ranging from a few months to over a year. Every time I always find the place clean, and safe. Plus, she readily gives out her cell phone number in case you need to speak to her directly. I also always get my trucks from here. Ive lived all over Atlanta, and this is always my first stop for a move. I dont deal with any other location if I dont have to. In addition, the trucks are always in good working order, and clean. This isnt a monster Uhaul location so when possible, I recommend you call Michelle a few days in advance if you are looking for anything in particular. Otherwise, if you have a last minute trip to make theres always something left for you even if its only for a few hours, plus you always get the great service, and someone who remembers you by name, and to me that counts a lot.

Horrible experience! Reserve a truck online while they were open! I get my reservation to come pick up the truck. They have three of the trucks that I want but they don’t have any to go one way. The lady act like she didn’t see my reservation. They didn’t even try to make it right. Money hungry location. They wanted me to take the truck and bring it back knowing I was going to another state. Lol really. Do you know the mileage cost! Not cool.

Updating 10/2020: Michelle told me if my rental wasnt back by 6:30 when they close she would have to charge me for another day, despite my 12-hour window closing at 8 pm. I later learned (1) there is a mobile app check-in we could have used until 8 at no cost and (2) the late fee is minimal. My perception is that shes trying to pad revenues at customers expense. Buyer beware.2019: Michelle is professional, but they ABSOLUTELY need 2 of her on Saturday mornings. Expect a minimum wait of 45 minutes - WHEN you have reserved a trailer/truck for a specific time.

Great place. Friendly, efficient. Had a brand new van for me. Had to wait when returning the van because they were guving a tour to a couple interested in renting storage space. Still they were gracious in their customer service.

Please dont make the same mistake that I did by signing a contract the has a time for return listed on it. They will not be flexible about a second day charge (which by the way is not a day - 24 hour time frame) it is considered a second day if you dont have it returned by the time on the contract. I rented a truck at 10:21 and the contract said it should be returned at 3pm. Thats five hours. The move took us longer, I called to let the manager know that I wasnt able to get it back by 3 pm. I was told that I would be charged for a second day. We returned the truck that day at 9pm. We were charged for a second day, mileage, etc. So for 5 hours we had to pay $97.00. Make sure that the time on your contract is later than what you think it might be as they are not reasonable about delays in moving. This policy is Uhaul policy, but the manager was not willing to be understanding.

As a college student constantly moving apartments/houses, this was my third time renting a truck from this location, and was once again very satisfied. Michelle was extremely friendly and helpful at all stages from booking the truck to going and picking it up. When she learned I was going all the way to Athens GA, she went as far as giving me an extra hour and a half to make my move easier. When I returned the truck it still needed a little more gas so Alacia let me go back to the gas station around the corner and fill up so I avoided the convenience fees. They will be my go-to when it is time for my next move!

I currently rent a storage unit at this location and havent had any issues what so ever. The staff is friendly, and Michelle (manager) was very helpful. Since then, Ive rented both the pickup truck and a moving van. I was told ahead of time how much the estimate was and the final bill was very close. Not sure about the negative reviews....2 vehicles and a storage unit later and Ive had nothing but positive experiences. Ill continue to use them for my future moving needs.

The customer service at this location is great. I was not expecting super quick service being it was a weekend, and as I understand thats a pretty busy time for them. Michelle was very professional and courteous. We had a few issues and she was able to help us work through them. A generally positive experience. My only complaint is the parking lot is really small and somewhat difficult to navigate.

Oh my lord what a lemon they gave me I had to ride in a microwave oven the entire trip. Then when I asked for a discount for my inconvenience I was hit with a ‘I’m sorry about that’. I had to demand it an it was only 10 dollars. then I was accused of using the blankets in the back which were $5. So I was like if I used them it would be no problem but you’re not just gonna charge me for something I didn’t use. It’s like a setup. Just take the extra items out unless customer ask for them. Keep in mind it’s 96 degrees in Georgia today tell me how u would feel in this situation definitely not visiting Lilburn store ever again

Horrible experience. The owner Michelle first of all, made me wait almost an hour because their system was down due to silly mistake. Since the system was down she charged me manually and charged me again once their system was restored. Charged me twice for their mistake and she had the nerves to say I had to wait a week. Although the transactions was completed and both charges were withdrawn from my account she refused to help me resolve the issue and said Do whatever you want as if this was all my fault to begin with. She has no concern for others belongings, if this mistake was on my part they would have opened a lawsuit against me probably.

The owner does not treat customers with respect or integrity. When I arrived, she called my cell phone and my husband’s cell phone to make sure we weren’t lying about our phone numbers. I originally ordered from a location that was closer to my home, but a U-Haul representative told me the truck I needed wasn’t available. She referred me to this location and told to request a mileage adjustment since the vehicle wasn’t available near my house. When I mentioned this to the owner, she said we don’t do that. Who told you that? Then she called another location and mocked what I said about being offered an adjustment. I ended up leaving.

Complete SCAM as like everyone has mentioned below. We made sure with everything and dropped the vehicle as it was. Then the manager called saying I charged you $100 bent skirt and someone will call you later to discuss. No one called I had to go there after talking with both the employee and manger they said call 1-800 number. I don’t recommend this place is a complete rip off. SCAM.The truck had so many scratches, dents, bends etc. Its hard to figure out where to begin taking photos.There were spots where the X’s sticker were worn out or missing.The inspection was done within 10 seconds.We didn’t take the bend photo, but we 100% confirm to check the bend which was already there and to check the property cameras for the bend.Please fix the truck before someone else gets charged for doing nothing.Very dissatisfied and disappointed.

This is one of the first u hauls Ive ever been to where the employees seem to enjoy their job and are not annoyed by the fact that youre there, they were more than helpful and when a few problems arose that were my fault, they were very helpful in resolving everything. The manager had an attitude since the beginning and only wanted to allow me to use the truck for 6 hours when its advertised for 24 hour use.I ended up paying $150 for a truck thats advertised for $29.99. They overcharged me and lied about me leaving something in the truck and I had to call 4 times just to find out what exactly they were trying to charge me for. If I hadnt of complained I would have ended up paying $214.00 for a truck thats advertised for $29.99. The manager eventually called and apologized for over charging me after 4 days of me trying to resolve the issue. I will not be back to this location nor do I recommend it to anyone.

I rated them 5 stars to everyone can see this post. THEY ARE THE WORST!!! The cost of my storage increased the very next month I got my storage. The manager is passive-aggressive. The payment date is not flexible WHATSOEVER. My purse was stolen including the keys to my pad lock and they didnt even consider helping me get the lock off. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. She agreed to keep my original rental hours.This is my 2nd time coming here and Ive had negative experiences with Michelle both times. I only returned because I thought it would be better. I honestly assumed Michelle was simply having a bad day the 1st time so I gave this location a 2nd chance.It seems Michelle l has a superiority complex. She needs to work on her interpersonal skills. I highly recommend you DO NOT rent from this location because you will most likely have a very uncomfortable experience and run into problems and/or fraudulent accusations. If you do end up doing business here, thoroughly check/inspect and take complete pictures BEFORE taking possession of any equipment from this location. I was blamed for damage to a trailer that I did not do and looking at the other reviews this appears to be a very common practice by this manager/owner. Thank goodness I had purchased the damage coverage but feel it was wrong that I was blamed for the pre-existing damage and basically told I was lying. The manager/owner Michelle was rude and unprofessional, treated me like a criminal/thief, not a paying customer. I had the NO feeling from the minute I first engaged with her when she asked for phone numbers and acted like I was lying to her and wanted proof the phone numbers were real. Who acts like this to their customers??? Throughout the entire process she acted like she was doing me a favor and took her sweet time during the check-in and check-out processes, no rush, I was on her time. I will never use this location again.

I want to start by saying my experience was horrible Michelle Allen is a disgusting individual, an unprofessional manager, disrespectful demeanour and has the attitude of an out of young control teenager. I have contacted Uhaul Corporate Office only to be called by her so nothing was ever done about my experience. I feel like many others that she herself is the worst type of person to be a manager of any business. Any company that wants ro stay in business would rethink having her as a manager. I will be contacting the corporate office one more time before I post this video of her horrible customer service and disgusting behavior of one of their Uhaul employees. Michelle Allen is a complete embarrassment for any company. One of her employees warned me of how terrible she behaves and also made sure I had her correct name so I can make a complaint ans told me to make sure I go to corporate about her nasty attitude. Said I damaged the top of the rubber bumper and rubbed paint off of the loading area painted floor. I only loaded cardboard boxes and clothes. Better take a dozen photos before you leave with their equipment. Charged me 150.00 more, God only knows what it would have been without the waiver. You would expect some paint rub off on a cargo van and there was some when I picked it up but I didnt take pictures or complain. I want go back again, learned my lesson.

We recently rented from this location, and were not only completely dissatisfied with the experience, their incompetence placed us in great danger. We arrived 15 minutes early for a reservation made online, and due to being understaffed, did not leave the facility until almost an hour after our reservation time. This created problems since we had arranged to have help moving the furniture we rented the trailer for. A younger man finally arrived for work, had to be walked through the process of checking us out, then hooked the trailer up to my truck. A few miles down the road the trailer came off the ball hitch on my truck causing me to have to stop on a major 4 lane road to re-attach the trailer. This employee had failed to fully tighten the hitch down so when we hit a couple of bumps in the road it literally became disconnected and drug by the safety chains. Had we gotten a mile further down the road and gotten on the freeway, this could have been much more serious and resulted in a major accident. Steer clear of this facility if you are renting a trailer, there are numerous other U Haul locations close by that are competent enough to properly attach a trailer. We have reported this negligence to U Haul.

I have rented at this location numerous times. I have never had any issues until this last rental--granted, I cannot recall renting from her before. This store manager, so called, is rude, disrespectful, and disgusting. She is a poor representation of what any reputable organization should stand for. I guess she is especially bitter, because she has to work on Christmas Eve. I have never had any issues from all my years leasing from UHAUL. After I filed a complaint with Customer Service against her, she called me back to yell at me in a rude manner. She boisterously told me to never come back to her location in the future, because I called customer service to complain about her poor customer service. She is a poor reflection of UHAUl as a business. She should be managing a pigpen. After she hung up on me, I called Uhaul customer service and requested that they listen to the phone conversation and send me a transcript. I hope she learns from this experience. I know it is not easy dealing with the public, but she signed up to do the job and she did a horrible job with me.-FB

Let me save you some grief - dont use them. I returned an E-250 van that I had put 21.5 miles on. I put 2 gallons of gas which more than covered what I had used, yet they said it was lower and charged me for gas. I tried to show them the receipt but they would not even look at it. I tried to point out that there is no way the van got less than 10 mpg but to no avail. I have rented cars dozens of times including business travel and never ran into this issue. I will never darken their doorway again.

I had several unpleasant experiences at this facility. First, on several visits I was left unacknowledged by the staff as I waited in line while the transaction they were making was taking extra time. Then, someone in the facility damaged my unit and I was unable to get my things out. They said they couldnt even find out who did it because there were no cameras in my section. They didnt say that when I moved in. It took several days to get it done but when it was, the person who helped me told me that he spoke with his manager and was told to assist me in any way. The manager of the facility saw him doing helping me put back the boxes I had pulled out and she told him to stop helping me right there in my face. He even told her thats what he was instructed to do but she made him stop like I wasnt even there. I called corporate because I thought that was a horrible thing to do to a customer and the only response I received was from the same storage location manager who provided me with the very disingenuous apology of Im sorry YOU felt that way thus taking away any responsibility she had in the interaction. The worst of it all? The day I moved out, the very same storage manager appeared to be taking another customer on a tour of the facility. When they saw my son coming out of the elevator, they recoiled as if a dark skinned person should not have been in the facility. Just wow. Not only would I never recommend this facility to anyone else but I give it the lowest rating you can give any of the U-Haul facilities. Oh yeah, I had to report the manager for always parking in the handicap spot with no tag. I have one and it was offensive.

If I could give this location no stars I would. DO NOT GO HERE. THEY ARE SCAMMERS. I picked up the truck at (3:30pm) and did what I had to do which took about an hour and a half. When I went to drop off my rental no one wanted to check me out the guy who was there said that since I came 8 MINS after (6:53pm ) they do check outs (6:45pm) that I needed to just put the key in the box but it was before closing (7pm). The next day I get a call saying I put a scratch in the front bumper and that I owed them over $200. I told them they must have lost their minds because I absolutely did NOT so I wanted to come down there and get everything settled. before I even got there she charged my account anyway so I was pissed about that. I went to see this damage they accused me of and it was so unnoticeable that I can see why it was looked over at check out. I am going to have them open an investigation at this location because I feel they are charging each different customer for the same unnoticeable dent /scratch over and over to make more money. I AM LIVID. If I had done it I would take responsibility because $200 is no money to me. but I refuse to pay for something I did not do. The manager Michelle Allen is rude and racist, (given personal experience and previous reviews) And Delvin just sits there to lie, be a smart ass and has no customer service skills. there is a reason they ask you 5 times do you want the insurance, just so they can see who they can scam.

The owner is very rude. I called to get a quote on keeping the truck an additional day. This lady charged me before I agreed to keep it for another day. She treated me like a thief. Acted like I was going to steal this big truck. Are you serious? Not ok.

Had a good experience here they had trucks ready to rent when the other locations it would have been after 12 to get one I recommend renting a truck from them

They charged me a fee because the gas was not the same according to them. I filled it exactly where it was when I picked up the truck. Evidently these people dont understand that when the truck is not on level ground, the gas gauge will not read the right level. Oh and when I talked to them on the phone (in a civil manner) they hung up on me when I contested the gas charge. Read some of the reviews on Uhauls website. They are quite content in the practice of gouging customers. Do yourself a favor and rent from a different location.

Never going to come back!!! Using Uhaul a lot, first time was at this location. Usually i taking 5 min to get auto transport and be on road. Did reservation online and express check in also to get it faster but it took me almost 40 min before i left. It was morning and I only one customer. Lady (Michelle Allen) was rude, unfriendly, unprofessional and made everything complicated. She ask me to leave papers for check out in drop box, because she dont want to check in morning if it outside or no (its up of hill) and if not then she going to charge me again. I left papers in box at night, but in morning she charge me second time!!! I called her she said im bisy call you back and hang up on me. 5 hours later I called again she said that going to refund it to me. how stupid is it, got lucky that i checked my account balance and saw that i was charge second time!

I rented from this place, and its put a bad taste in my mouth about renting from uhaul, and I plan to move out of state and will be looking into renting else where not only are they expensive 1.00 per mile plus the truck plus gas .... There customer service is horrible if you can and get a man he sounds dry and miserable there, and hes also rude and has hung up on me several times and said that I was hanging up... Also I waited for my schedule truck to be picked up and waited standing over 30 mins for it ... They also told me that when I brought it back someone would be there at 7:30 even though they close at that time... Theres no seating over there save you the troubles rent else where budget or Penske look up truck rentals!! Please!!
