This was my first time at Boss Automotive and Dennis treated me like I was one of his long time customers. He diagnosed my problem right away plus gave me a ride to my destination and had my van fixed when he said he would. I would definitely go there again!

My Jeep was causing trouble and once in a while wouldn’t start. It was finally being consistently stubborn and Dennis was there within five minutes. Watching him diagnose the difficulty was fabulous. He’s good, focused, thorough, and gifted at what he does. AND he likes it! He went over and above to look after us.

I looked up the closest place near me with good reviews and am so lucky that it happened to be this one! I could tell they had a lot of clients but even though I showed up without making an appointment, I was in and out in less than 20 minutes. The problem with my car ended up not being too bad at all and they were so nice to help me with it! Also I was impressed with how the customers in front of me were treated. Everyone seems to be valued and appreciated. Great place!!

My car was having problems overheating and I brought it in and within minutes they knew exactly what was wrong. They quoted me for a radiator and a thermostat and were honest and straightforward about the pricing. It turned out that the pump needed to be replaced as well but they replaced it FREE of charge as they didnt notice it in the initial quote. They fixed it as quick as possible and helped to make me aware of the issue despite not knowing much about cars. For anyone needing car repairs I would 100% recommend this shop.

My battery died on me back in September of 2019- so not quite two years ago. It was late at night and we had just moved to the area so I got a tow from the restaurant we were at to this shop since it had great reviews. The battery was the issue, everyone was super kind. The quote was very high ($315 for a battery replacement) but I needed the car for work and the cost of towing it somewhere else would have been about equal. Fast forward to tonight- our battery has died again and must be replaced. We have just used the car for small commutes to and from work- I feel it is very reasonable to expect a car battery to have a life of at least 3 years. I have not contacted the shop because we have moved out of the area, so I cannot say what they would do, if anything, to help resolve the situation- but I felt it would be good to leave a review that, for the price, the quality has turned out to be very disappointing.

So grateful!! Was headed down south and needed some fluids topped off and engine light checked, all local shops had 1.5 hr wait. They were super friendly had my in and out in just a few minutes. Highly recommend for top tier customer service.

We were getting ready to leave on a weekend road trip. I needed to get a new vehicle inspected that I was wanting to buy. Went to a few other shops that told me to go to BOSS automotive. As soon as I walked in I felt taken care of from the beginning to the end. They treated me well and with respect even though I knew nothing about cars. They were able to help me understand how and what was needing to be fixed. I left there feeling confident that I finally I found a reliable mechanic in Utah! I’ll be coming back for all my vehicle work cause I felt like I made real friends leaving that place. McKay was super helpful in helping me determine if my new vehicle was worth buying. 10/10 would recommend.

A neighbor referred me to BOSS after I was rear ended. I worked with Dennis, and he was so helpful from start to finish. The insurance company who represented the driver who hit me was terrible to work with and was not willing to pay the amount that BOSS quoted for the repair. We know it was a fair quote because we had shopped around and the BOSS quote was not above market asking price. Even though the insurance company was trying to undercut him, Dennis agreed to do the work. Beyond the repair that was a result of the accident, we had a few small, unrelated scratches and dents that we wanted to get fixed at the same time. Dennis agreed to do those extra repairs for free!! We werent expecting that and were so grateful he was willing to do so, especially since the reimbursement from the insurance company was lower than his bid. His customer service was top notch. When we got the car back, everything looked perfect. His team did a great job with the damages from the accident and the other scratches. While I hope we dont need his services again, I will not hesitate to go there again if we ever need car repairs. Hes honest, professional and gets the job done right.

I took my car in because it seemed like it was in “limp” mode. They looked at my car for about 3 hours replaced my mass airflow sensor. They couldn’t figure it out all they said was it needed a new tune. They charged me $350 and didn’t even figure out what’s wrong with it.

After a long trip from AZ to UT, my 2010 F-150 Lariat, with 80k miles, started leaking oil from the transmission. I called several different places which all required me to leave my vehicle with them for about one week until they could take a look at it. The time frames were unacceptable for me since I needed to be back in AZ sooner than later. Additionally, the suggested week time-frames from the others did not even include the repair time.I called BOSS and they recommended I bring the truck in to take a quick look to see what needed to be done. Within a few minutes, they found that the 6 speed transmission wiring harness (bulkhead sleeve) was where the leak occurred and suggested it was very common for this make, model, year, and mileage. Dennis ordered the parts just in case he didnt have them in stock, gave me a ride to where I was staying, performed the repair, and had the truck back to me all in the same day! 2 months later, no leaks and I feel confident that I made the right choice in choosing BOSS Automotive & Transmission. They were very personable, answered all my questions, and were willing to help me out knowing I was from out of town and needing to make my way back home. The repair cost me about $700 out the door, which was well worth it to get me back on the road to AZ. Thanks again Dennis! I really appreciate how you and your team run your business.

I traveled a long way in order to get work done at this place because on our phone conversation in the beginning then it sounded very knowledgeable in the problem that I had with my vehicle. Outstanding work no BS they tell you straight forward pretty much what youre going to need and they get it done and they deliver on time. The picture is not the vehicle that he worked on it was a 2006 GMC Savana van but when it comes time I will bring my Corvette in because I feel very secure in the fact that these boys know what theyre doing. Dennis is very friendly very knowledgeable does not talk down to you and explain everything in detail!

They spent 4 hours trying to get my jammed door open on our van and couldn’t. They said they wouldn’t charge me anything! They’d taken apart the door and everything and said since they couldn’t fix it, they wouldn’t charge me a dime. That is incredible! I will definitely bring them my business in the future. They are a one of a kind shop. Honest and super nice. Wow!

Took my Infiniti in because it was making metallic clicking sounds. Turns out there was a major issue with my driveline. Dennis was able to get the part I needed and fix up my car within 2 business days. I was super stressed but Dennis and his wife were awesome and were able to get me back in my car so fast. I would refer everybody I know to Boss. We were in the Provo area (from Vancouver, WA) to drop our son off at school and unfortunately had an issue with a transmission in my sons truck. The transmission had previously been replaced by a shop back home and had a nationwide warranty. Wanting to make sure we got our son taken care of before heading back home we searched for a local shop with a great reputation. We found Boss Automotive and Dennis and Valynn provided the absolute best customer service I have ever received from an automotive shop. Dennis dealt directly with the transmission manufacturer and had a new transmission delivered and installed within two days. He even took it to the dealership and had the computer reprogrammed for the new transmission. It is reassuring to know that there is a place I can send my son to if he has automotive issues while at school and know that he will be taken care of and treated fairly. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. They replaced a transmission on one of my trucks. Check engine light turned on and I said the trasmission needs looked at. They said it was the oil. Kept the truck for weeks, didnt fix it, wanted another $1500 for a replaced oil pump. Took it to another shop and sure enough, not an oil pump problem but a transmission problem. Dont use these guys. Dennis is never there and gives his work to underlyings who often do not know what they are doing. Please pass.

I am from out of town and needed a quick fix. They took care of my car in an afternoon and even drove to Orem themselves to get the part because the parts palace couldnt bring it.

We were on our way to Moab for a family vacation, when our car began acting a bit strange. We were worried we wouldnt be able to continue. We decided to pull off and have it checked. We went to another auto shop and they couldnt quite answer our questions. We decided to get a second opinion and we ended up at Boss. We were so pleased with the help we received. Dennis quickly came to diagnose our vehicle. He immediately became a friend with his great personality and straightforward talk. He took the car on his own test drive to see what was going on. After that he drove around with my husband so they could discuss any issues and listen for any problems. Our car didnt end up having any problems and we were able to continue on. Dennis gave us peace of mind by showing us all the areas where problems could be, and then testing each area. After he had spent a good 45 minutes helping us, he refused to accept any money and sent us on our way with well wishes. After an exhaustive few weeks of my son pulling his car engine, repairing numerous oil leaks and replacing every gasket known to man he had a check engine light and a high idling-overheating engine. He took his car to Boss and Dennis worked with him to teach him personally to get the car back in running condition within a couple of hours at no charge. Very good quality service. I call in a few minuets before close and they were happy to take me in to get my issues figured out. A local mechanic had told me I had a transmission leak, turns out it was a loose bolt.

PLEASE READ BEFORE YOU GO TO THIS PLACE. I had to get my car towed and had to hurry and look up a place to go and saw this place had great ratings so I thought this would be my best bet.I paid over $750 to get my car fixed and when I got it back it was FILTHY.I spent almost 2 hours trying to wipe everything down and scrub the stains out of my seats to no avail. We gave them a call and said we have pictures to prove what happened and the owner denied everything and said it never happened and hung up. SO UNPROFESSIONAL. Just because you know how to fix cars doesn’t mean you can treat your customers like that.If you would’ve just been honest then this would’ve been a whole different story. This is my first negative review I’ve ever made but people need to know if they experience a problem that it won’t get fixed and they’ll just be called a liar.

I called in on Friday at 3:00 after I had broken down on the freeway. Dennis Answered, He sent a tow truck{pollution free towing}, to get us, As we pulled into his parking lot, we thought from all of the people there, we would would be there for weeks waiting. NOT TRUE. Dennis Walk out with his diagnostic equipment and started diagnosing before the car got of the tow truck, WOW. We went into the office to give our info to his lovely wife. Buy the time she was done entering our info. Dennis had it Properly Diagnosed and was giving us an estimate and said that they would make sure it was done that day. Never mind that it was 3:40 on Friday. Not 1 mechanic worked on my car, but 3 mechanics. I could not believe my eyes at how fast and how respectful these people were. I Love this shop. BOSS knows how to take care of their customers!! Went in about an oil leak and they gave us the most practical, affordable solution. When it continued leaking, we discovered something that was initially hidden (because the pan was literally covered in oil when we brought it in). They stayed past closing just to squeeze us in and patch us up as a courtesy. Have already referred them to family members. They will definitely be our go to mechanics for years to come!

Absolutely the best experience that I have had with any mechanic! I arrived there with my 2 small, fussy children and was stressed because my AC wasnt working. I asked for a diagnostic and said not to fix anything until I was told a price because I was om a tight budget. Dennis was so quick to get to my car, did a diagnostic for free! I was in and out in less than 15 minutes. He was so patient with my crying kids, and when I went out to hear what the damage was going to be, my AC was running cold!! He explained that he recharged the AC free of charge, and that there was a seal leak, and that if I had any additional issues, that I could bring it back in for him to check out and fix the leak. I have never been treated so well at a mechanic shop, ans especially never had someone so considerate of my time!! BOSS auto is absolutely worth your time and money. Alright, I finally am able to write this review, I tend to be extremely busy and it takes me a bit to get to writing these. A few weeks back I took in my classic car to these guys after calling them the night before about a carburetor tuning issue I was having. I had bought a rebuilt carburetor and was ready to swap out my old one and for some reason I could not get the thing to tune, after calling BOSS they sounded very nice and professional and more than willing to help and they had me bring the car down the next morning. When I got there I swapped out my old carb for the new one and the people here were very professional with me and kind. Turns out the rebuilt carb was bad and so instead they gave me the advice to get a Holley and to look on KSL and so I I never came back to BOSS because the gentleman I found on KSL rebuilds, restores, tunes and tests carburetors there at his place so I ended up with a great Holley tuned and ready to go for my engine. While I was at BOSS though, I was only there for a few hours but I got to see how they run their business and how they treat their customers and I was happy with what I saw. They treated every customer respectfully and kind, they explained things to their customers in detail, they were knowledgeable, helpful, more than willing to help, and they were honest to their customers. I do most of the work on my car and many of us in my family are mechanics, but when its a job that I dont have the right tools, equipment or it cant be done safely, thats when I take the vehicle to a shop. However, I just suck at tuning carburetors. So I tend to pay close attention to when I take my car to a shop to see how they treat people. Because honestly, lets be real, a lot of auto shops can be rude and dishonest to their customers and not do a great job and some places overcharge. From what I saw when I was at BOSS, the people here seem to be honest and kind and will help you with anything that they can. From my experience they were great people to go to and they did great work! I would recommend people to come here and see what they can do to help you!

Amazing customer service!!! I am rebuilding my own transmission at home, and I needed a part. Not only did he have it, he told me told me why it failed and tips to look for to make sure it doesnt happen again!! I have another transmission that needs to be rebuilt, and after today, you better believe it is going to him to get fixed!

Seriously can’t even begin to say enough positive about them! I trust them with anything! I’ve had issues with a Prius, a Passat, and an Explorer. Twice they assessed and found the issue and didn’t even charge me a penny. They are extremely helpful, friendly, and instill confidence that is so rare in thus industry. This shop took in my car right then and there and worked tirelessly to make sure I could get back on the road that night. The name of this shop is appropriately named. I went in for what I thought was a huge transmission problem because no one else had time. The owner there made time for me even though he admitted to not having any time. We drove around a little bit and he simply diagnosed my problem and said all I need to do is manually shift my truck to potentially correct the problem. The problem was actually corrected by the time we got back to his shop, and the check engine light turned off shortly after. Although I dont live in the area I will definitely go back the next time I have an issue.

I have a very unique vehicle, It’s an old mid engine. I had a unique problem no one was able to diagnose but Boss Automotive was able to quickly isolate the issue and get it resolved!!! Within the next few hours my problem was fixed and I could drive safely in the rain once again. THANK YOU

My car broke down and i brought it here. I ended up buying a new battery and a used tire that supposedly was good .I had to go back because the battery they sold me was one that was already dead, which i understood because i took it as an accident or maybe a faulty battery.5 days after buying the tire i had to go buy a new one because the entire lining around the side of the tire cracked and it was about to pop if i didnt catch it in time. I would call it an accident again if it wasnt for the fact that the worker that put my tire on was nervous about me using it but wouldnt tell me why. Now it makes sense. They already knew they were selling me a bad product.

We stopped for lunch in Lehi while driving through SLC and had some possible concerns about our car. After we called and were denied by the two nearest Subaru Dealers... we luckily came across BOSS. Dennis and his team are the real deal. He told us to bring our car over, no problem. He took care of us right away. Although we were lucky to find nothing was wrong with our car, I thought Id write a review for BOSS, because they were kind, down-to-earth people. Dennis had one of his teammates look at our car immediately. And when they confirmed nothing was wrong he insisted we owe him nothing. Wow! Easily could have taken advantage of two people from out of town. Ill probably never be in the area again, in need of automotive services (hopefully), but I highly recommend this business whether you are local or are in a bind.

I took my 2005 Malibu into this shop around 10 am on a Wednesday morning. Explained the issues I was having with it and discussed all the things I had already replaced. Got a call around 2 that the vehicle was ready to go. Paid $570. Got in the vehicle drove off approx 3 blocks and the car died. Luckily I hadnt made it to the freeway yet. I called the shop and no answer. When I finally did reach them after 3 calls and 25 mins later they told me I had to get it towed back there and then they would take another look at it. While waiting for the tow truck I had to pay for I opened the hood and half of the hoses werent even reconnected. I had the car towed to a different shop. I will warn anyone of ever going there. Horrible service, car was worse off when it left then when I took it there!!!

This guy is the best. brought my car in because ac blower would not turn on and in 15 minutes we worked together to diagnose it. Figured out it was the blower reistor module that was not working. Did not charge me a thing and I know how to buy the part and plug it in. Other repair shop could not look at for 3 day. BOSS will be my first choice going forwrad. They always willing to spend time and talk to me. I am fairly mechanical so I like all the information and can do much of the work my self with some direction.

Based on my initial experience to replace my clutch switch, BOSS was helpful in ensuring the job was done right. Turns out Honda has two switches in the Civic SI and the starter switch isnt easy to get to. Their mechanic Scott spent over an hour working his hands up through difficult areas and was able to get it replaced. So far so good with the part!

Fantastic experience, my air conditioning wasnt working and he saw me right away. Fair prices excellent. Will be going there again for any future needs.

Wasnt super happy with my service here. I came about a year ago and was just reminded that I should leave a review to warn others. The employees were very kind and helpful, but the work that was done on my car was not great. I came in to have a pipe connecting to my muffler welded back together after it rusted and broke. The first time it seemed off and upon looking at it I could see that the top portion of the pipe had not been sealed so it was still very loud to drive. The pipe broke again within days. The second time I went to have it fixed again had a similar issue. I found another mechanic nearby who fixed it for me and let me know that the reason for the issue was that the mechanic was using the wrong metal to weld the pipe together. Due to their different melting points the seal never would have worked. Im obviously not a mechanic, but I was disappointed to find out that I had wasted my money and two trips getting my pipe fixed incorrectly. Ive had friends go here for work on their cars and have great things to say, probably just depends on what youre getting done exactly. I wont be returning.

I didnt have the right tools to take a rig off of my truck so I stopped by to get a quote. They came out and told my Merry Christmas, took the rig off and sent me on my way without charging me. Granted it only took them a minute, but it would have taken me much longer on my own. Their small deed will give them much business from me in the future.

These guys are great! I had a leak that turned out to be a more expensive repair I couldn’t afford at the time. Please read the yelp reviews before going to this shop.This has been the worst experience Ive ever had with any mechanic shop. I was told the first day that he would have my car back by the end of the day. He didnt and I had to take an Uber to the Jazz game, but I get that things come up when youre fixing a car and over the phone he said itd be done the next morning.So the next morning I have to take an Uber to work and I call around 11:00 expecting my car to be done. He says its not but hed get me a loaner car until it was finished. I never got called back and so I called after my shift and the lady who answered the phone said they were closed but my car was finished and I could get it at 9:00 am the next morning. So I took an Uber home and then I called the next morning and the car was still not finished. So again I had to take an Uber to work.Finally I get called around 3:00 pm that day and they tell me my car is done. They ended up charging me $100 more than the estimate (thats fine there are parts you cant see until you move/fix other things) and I get in the car and I dont notice until I get home that they have glued my rearview mirror back on backwards (it had fallen off).So now I have a backwards mirror and close to $150 in Uber fees and a shop that I have to chase down and I only ever received 1 call back from.Please dont go here. Its garbage and will leave you fuming and angry.Thats funny because the wipers dont even work properly and the mirror is still glued on backwards so maybe you are right you cant fix stupid.

I called and spoke to Dennis about the issues our truck was having. I originally took my truck to the dealership because they gave me a quote over the phone that I thought was fair. Once I got a call back from the dealership they told me the whole part needed to be replaced and it was 3 times as much as expected. I hadnt been able to find a good mechanic (hence the reason I was at the dealership in the first place), but out of desperation I called Boss Automotive and he knew exactly what I was talking about over the phone. I dropped my truck off and within the day he called me and let me know that he could try first to re-clamp the part to stop the leak rather than replacing it. So far it has held up well and I am glad that our truck with 50,000 miles, that the part could be salvaged and it was a common problem with my kind of truck. The dealership was trying to scam me but Dennis was honest and upfront enough to give us options. We also had him service the differentials there and he was very fair on the price. I feel so happy that we found a good reliable mechanic to go to where I feel like he is treating the vehicle like his own!

I cannot say enough about how AWESOME the team at Boss Automotive are. I have never trusted a team more to give me an honest assessment. They dont just repair your vehicle, they take time to educate you on what they are doing and why. They never try to charge you for something you dont need. I have been coming here for several years now and wont ever take a vehicle somewhere else. If you are looking for a new mechanic SERIOUSLY dont look anywhere else.

Boss fixed our AC in one car quickly and efficiently, and it has been running well ever since. They also took us in to fix the AC in the other car right before they closed, which was kind and unexpected. Come here if you want fast and fair service.

Dennis is fantastic to work with. He knows whats wrong, and gets it done quick. He helps with buying vehicles as well as auto repair. His wife and son work with him and its always a pleasure. I go to BOSS Everytime I need work done on my car. I highly recommend trying this place out.

I thought my transmission was slipping, but Dennis here drove my car around for a few minutes, and said it wasnt slipping, but it was taking longer to shift. He also said its probably been a bit too long since the last service on it. So all within a couple hrs time. I was back on the road without any problem. These guys are beasts!!!

They are a very straight forward and trustworthy company. I took a truck in to get it inspected and they gave me a list of things wrong with it and didnt charge me for the diagnosis. They really are just there to help me out.

I am very pleased with the service I received at Boss. I had taken my car to the dealership and was quoted over 4 grand for repairs. I took my car in for a second opinion. They pulled the code and all it was, was my speed sensor. They reset it and my car is back to normal and running great. Thanks guys!!

One of the best Mechanics Ive ever met! Went to Audi in Lehi earlier the day before and paid way too much just for a diagnostic reading (didnt even do any repairs) walked out with a quote for $7K of repairs needed. Went over to see this place, quote of a little over $1K and more friendly knowledgeable information then I could get anywhere else! Absolutely the best, Dont go anywhere else!

Dennis is Awesome! Both times I have come into his shop with an issue with my truck he had his team immediately jump on the diagnosis. Then he was very upfront and straightforward about how much everything would cost and made sure I understood exactly what was going to be done. Both times he had me in and out same day. I am super impressed with the service I received at BOSS! I had to have my car towed after hours and they had my car fixed the next day! Super friendly, fair, and fast service!

My engine started making sounds so I took it over to boss automotive, he was quick to check my vehicle out even though he already had plenty of other ones to work on. Id give them 10 out of 10 for being very informative by showing me a video of what could be the problem with my engine out of several scenarios and that if he couldnt be 100% sure of which one it was then he would not be working on it because he didnt want to waste my money.Some mechanics will only find half your problem so youll pay around 500 thinking your car is going to be fixed just to find out that now you have to pay another thousand.Here they are honest and straightforward and for that I highly recommend them, they do good service.

They were able to get me in and do a engine diagnostic in 30min. Friendly staff and reasonable prices. They ended up saving me a 3rd of my bill too, will be going back for any future repairs.
