Our old van had just been towed for repairs. We spotted a great little commuter car at Hatchco Auto next door. We stopped in to take a look and were quickly assisted by a gentleman name Kevin. He was very friendly, not pushy and listened as I stated what I could reasonably afford. Rather than trying to push me up in price and persuading me to spend more, he quickly identified the commuter car were looking at as well as several other vehicles that could fit our needs. We were sitting in the commuter car (a Kia) shortly. The pricing seemed very reasonable. We left the dealership without making a decision and were not hassled. Kevin and his co-worker wished us luck and gave us their info if we had any further questions. They were very professional and again...very friendly. After researching online we realize that the car we were looking at was VERY competitively priced and we contacted Hatchco to make the purchase the next day. It was a smooth and comfortable process. This is not a blingy, bedazzled show-room with brochures and lights at every turn. It is a comfortable no-pressure auto sales establishment where you can tell that the employees are earning a living and truly enjoy working with people. It feels like a nice family business. I would recommend them and will be shopping there again in the future when my kids start needing a vehicle.
Purchased a truck from Hatch Co in Utah while I live in Georgia. Enjoyable easy experience with this dealership, they also put up with my multiple calls to get things straight on the purchase. Truck was mainly as described upon arrival. Unfortunately for me, I did not ask them to check the transmission fluid and show that. Truck arrived with dark brown burnt transmission fluid. I dropped the transmission pan to change some fluid and filter, sadly I found a chunk of a snap ring in the bottom of the pan. Transmission clearly has some shifting issues, shuttle shifting, ...but wasnt disclosed when I asked How is the transmission shifting, running and told that it was fine no issues. But this is the price you pay for buying remotely without driving the vehicle or getting to check it out in person. Just wished someone would have be upfront about the health of the transmission so I knew what to expect, now I am in a bind with needing to get the transmission likely rebuilt ASAP. Im dropping off 2 stars from the review because of the transmission issue. Its partially on me for not requesting the fluid review, if I had seen the fluid was that Dark pre-purchase I would have passed on this truck. Live and learn folks, live and learn.
Bought a truck from them about 5 weeks ago. The purchase was easy and the staff was nice. HOWEVER, I’m now looking at a $1,400 repair bill & I’m disappointed to say the least.
It’s been 1 year since we bought a car from them. We can not get the emission test done on it because the check engine light is on and has been on since right after we bought. It was on when we test drove it so I took it back and told them to call me when they had solved the problem. When I went back the salesman told me they did a check engine test and said that it showed electrical and that it had a bad battery so they replaced it and solved the problem.Unfortunately we bought the Honda Accord from them. A Honda computer resets at about 75 miles. Guess what, at about that many miles the check engine came back on and was diagnosed as a catalytic converter. They totally lied about there diagnostics test they they ran. I guess that they figure a 150.00 battery was cheaper than the 1500.00 catalytic converter.Never buy anything from them. They totally lied to me.
Great place to have a secondary car purchase
Great place to buy a vehicle. Great staff.
The younger sales man was great to deal with. The older guy sounds grumpy on the phone. I will deal with them again.
Kind and knowledgeable. Timely and effecient.
Not impressed tried to start dealing on a truck I was interested in with them by email due to them being in Utah and Im in Wyoming so see if it would be worth a trip. First response back from them I was done. Their response was rude and did not even wanna deal because I had a trade.
Bought a diesel truck from them. I Test drove and thoroughly inspected while at the lot and everything was good. On the drive home and the transmission warmed up the transmission fluid starting pouring out of the top. We discovered the transmission housing was cracked on the top but only leaked after driving for 10-15 minutes and not when cold or in park. It was major leak when driving, and the transmission housing had to be replaced. I immediately spoke the the Dealership when I got home about the leak. They didnt get back to me. When I called again they said there was nothing they could do to help. I understand that cars and trucks get traded in that have problems and hatch co cant catch them all. My issues are: 1- I found the issue on the way home and called immediately and they said they wouldnt help. 2- I believe they were aware of the leak and washed off the liquid on the transmission housing in order to sell. Either way they sold me a truck with a bad transmission and it costs thousands to repair before I got to drive it.
We bought an 07 ram 2500. When i asked about a warranty, the salesman did not want to sell me one. Within 3 months of having it, the piston rings broke apart and dinged up the cylinders, so now we need a motor swap. $15000 repair bill and weve barely driven it. Im sure we couldve paid cash for the extra warranty, like we did for the amount the bank wanted down, but you said you didnt have any when i asked, but thanks for implying that my credit was the problem. Wed love you to help with the cost replace the motor. How shouldwe go about that?
We just bought our 4th vehicle through Kevin with Hatchco auto. We called Kevib with a vehicle we were wanting him to look for and the price range we wanted and they found us the perfect vehicle for our family of 7. We will never buy a car from anyone else.
Hatchco is my go to place to buy a used vehicle. They have always treated me with honesty and fairness. I feel like every effort is made to make sure Im happy with what Im getting. They have always treated me like family and made me feel comfortable when Im there. Old man Hatch is a genuine soul and has nothing but good intentions in everything he does. He is sure to make anyone and everyone feel at ease during the car buying process. Thanks Hatchco!!
I have bought several trucks from here, not once had a bad experience. Ill be buying the rest of mine from here.
I wouldnt buy another vehicle here. I bought an 05 Duramax with 98k miles on it 3 months ago. They sold me a lemon. I had to put $700 in parts in the rear end. Now it needs a head gasket and turbo. This is a nearly $10k job. Thanks for the lemon that I am stuck with that I cant drive.
The overall experience was great at Hatchco, we were able to buy the van that my family needed with little to no issues and the staff was friendly, But I feel like the staff may have been too friendly. The owner was a nice guy and loves kids, but he was acting like he was their grandparent trying to hold them and take them around the building without asking us first. We were there for awhile and he tried to hold her without asking several times. The staff is good and got the job done. But I wont go there again because of that. If you go dont bring your kids
AMAZING experience!! We had our rowdy kids with us for our buying experience. They took such good care of all of our needs. They spoiled the kids rotten with snacks, and kept them happy and content through the whole process. The process was the best buying process I’ve ever experienced. Super smooth and easy. I would rate these guys 10 stars if I could!
Good selection of used trucks and Jeep vehicles. Little hard to get to from where I live.
Salesman was nice. 3 star because car was dirty. Oil was changed but the air filter was not it was black should have been cleaned using a k&n cleaner. Also the car was not detailed it been online for 13 days before I seen it so it really had no excuse. The car radiator leaks water. Needs to be replaced I know this from the previous owner as I found his contact card in the car and asked him why he sold it and any issues one was seep leak. So car came in from auction the made quick buck. And also they get incentives from banks to get loans all dealership do.Besides that great family run place just need to actually work on the cars before asking them for more than they lay easy concept of you ask me!
I have done business with Hatchco for many years. I have recommended many family members and friends to them and never had a complaint. If youre looking for a good vehicle give them a call. They are very easy going and helpful without the pressure of a high priced dealership.
Absolutely unmatched service; and genuine desire to help people find the right Car for them. They helped me out with a car when no one else would. I’m on car number two from Hatchco, and counting. You won’t find a better dealership or people to work with Anywhere! I can’t praise them enough! (I should have done this years ago; however I’m a procrastinator.)
I bought a truck in August of 2019 for 27000 it had 90000 miles on it its a 2008 diesel. When I went and picked the truck up and signed the paperwork I started the truck which had 20 miles worth of gas in it and pulled out of the parking lot. As soon as I pulled out the truck stalled and wouldnt go. I managed to keep restarting it and flipped around. They took it into their mechanic shop. It had a bad fuel sensor. They replaced it and put a nice as is warranty paper in my back seat. I should have just taken it back then. Not even a month later the truck starts leaking oil. Mind you this truck is not a daily driver I have a work vehicle. So I took the truck into a dealership to have the oil leak looked at. My cost to replace the gaskets are 3000. They have to pull the engine to access the gaskets. My cac tube was cracked also. The oil leaks have yet to be fixed. Then I drove it home tonight parked it get out and its leaking coolant. And on top of that the truck has an after market exhaust on it so it would never pass emissions the muffler has been taken off of it. I have a dealership statement in the glove box from the previous owner saying it would not pass emissions with an after market exhaust. This truck has been nothing but a money pit and problems since I purchased it and it hasnt even been a year. The truck looks beautiful inside and out but it needed repairs and shouldnt have been sold. The people were friendly but Im the one who got screwed and now Im way upside down. If it was me I would make sure you do a thorough inspection and think about your purchase before making a decision. Im all for family business thats why I went their If I have a chance to help out i would rather my money go to a family run business. But I mean its just been ridiculous. I love the truck but I shouldnt have to worry it should be reliable.
Had an alternator replaced. Mechanics are great, knowledgeable, and up front. Front office could use some customer service help, may some folks that knew about cars. Like a lot of shops, it can be tough for them to give you time tables but overall a good experience.
I just purchased a gently used Toyota Tacoma from Hatchco. I spoke to Kevin about my need for a small truck. During the course of about 3 weeks, Kevin communicated with me information concerning different trucks that he had found. He eventually found a truck that suited my specific needs. The truck was worth the wait! Through the years I have purchased a dozen cars from Hatchco. Thanks Kevin! I wont shop anywhere else.
The first vehicle I ever purchased was from Hatchco, over 14 years ago, and every car Ive bought since then has been from Hatchco as well. Even when military assignments took us out of the state to California and Texas, I would return to Utah to buy my cars from Hatchco. This is a family owned and operated business. The salespeople are very helpful and extremely knowledgeable. I can tell them what I am looking for in a car and they help me find the best fit for me and my family.I appreciate that buying a car from Hatchco is a one-stop shop as they handle all of the financing and paperwork in house.Overall my experience with Hatchco has been terrific. I would highly recommend them.
We have had a fantastic experience working with Hatchco. We bought a great used Toyota Corolla in 2011 and had such a good experience that we recently went back when it was time to trade in our van. We just bought a used Suburban and I couldnt be more happy with it. Kevin is knowledgeable, friendly and so helpful. I felt like everyone that we dealt with was great and Kevin went out of his way to make sure that we had everything we needed, taking time to find out what vehicle would work best for our family. The paperwork was filed promptly and our trade in taken care of. It was about as painless as could be. We wont be buying a car anywhere else.
I purchased a vehicle 1 year ago, paid less than I expected for it and It is running so good. The only thing I have needed to do is change the oil. Thank You to everyone at Hatch Co great place to purchase a vehicle. Low price great quality, honest and friendly staff.
It was very pleasurable! I found the perfect vehicle for me, I absolutely love it!The people here are helpful, honest and fair. I would tell anyone who is shopping for a reliable, dependable, awesome vehicle at a good price to come here!I highly recommend this dealership...A+
Fast, honest, and nice. Didnt feel pressured and gave a fair trade in. Would recommend.
Had a great experience buying a car! I was able to get a lot more car for my money, exceeding my expectations. Great service!Knowledgeable salesmen! No pressure! If you are looking for a car, new or used check them out!
Extremely disappointed. Bought a 2005 Jeep about a month ago as a 2nd vehicle. Within 50 miles check engine light came on and the O2 sensors needed replaced which Hatchco did fix at their cost. I just had to drive to Layton and back to get it done. Now a month and less than 400 miles later (all freeway part of which was driving up there and back for the sensors) check engine light back on. Took it to my mechanic and it has an exhaust leak, a cracked oil pan and needs new ball joints. I understand the vehicle is used and “as is” but my mechanic said ball joints are in such bad shape they are unsafe and if we still had safety inspection in Utah it would have never passed. A vehicle like that should not be sold and since dealership has a shop along with it these things should’ve been addressed before an unsafe vehicle was sold. I am now out around $1800 more to get everything fixed. I would not recommend a dealership that doesn’t check out their used vehicles before they are sold and doesn’t fix substantial problems.
Very knowledgeable about cars and have been in the business for years. We’ve bought numerous cars from them and have always had a very good experience!
I bought my car there a few months ago, and the staff really knows their stuff! I didnt feel like they were taking advantage of my lack of vehicle knowledge. The owner really stuck by me until I felt comfortable and happy with my car buying decision. The staff at Hatchco is really familiar with all types of vehicles and they value their customers. I would recommend them to anyone wanting to buy a vehicle!
Great experience. Fair deal, recommend them to all. Honest as you can get for my experience.
These guys help me out me out of my crazy truck payment and still kept me in a really nice truck. No pressure.. just fair numbers and trapping you in some auto loan you didnt agree on. Its the second time Ive bought from them and wont be my last Im sure.
This is a great place to buy cars or trucks! they have always been extremely helpful and friendly. They have taken care of me, my family and friends for years. I highly recommend Hatchco Auto Sales for anyone that is looking to buy a nice used vehicle at a fair price!
The staff is friendly and helpful. Unfortunately they sold me a truck with a bad transmission which I had to replace roughly 20 days after I bought it. It was $3,000 for a new one, they did pay me $700 for labor but still a hefty price to pay for a truck I just purchased for $24,000. Vehicle I purchased was a 2014 ram 2500.
Great guys, with good cars and trucks at honest prices. We bought our van through them and it has been great.
After dealing with horrible car dealerships I came across Hatchco. I have purchased three vehicles from them and have referred friends and family to this company. They have helped me in times of need and provide great prices! I highly recommend this company and the services they provide to you and your family in your search for a reliable vehicle.
Ive tried to contact this place to inquire if they check their vehicles for any recalls that are currently outstanding and havent heard anything back in 3 weeks. Does anyone know if they do?
Morgan was really friendly and worked with me when I wanted to test drive the car and take it a couple times to show my wife and check with my mechanic. He even came in on his day off to help us out and stayed late. He was very fair with my trade in. We have only had the car for a week but we are really enjoying it and have no problems. Thanks for hooking us up.
Me and a friend of mine were looking at a truck they have. I wanted to test drive it but im 17 and he said that it wasnt legal, which I totally understand that. But my friend is 19 and he still said no to HER test driving it. Is it because shes a girl or is it because you think that all teens are disrespectful. Wont be spending my money their!
Great staff! Love my new car!! Friendly and great prices!
Decent price and nice dealer but sold me a jeep with an exhaust leak, faulty gas cap and when they changed the oil they apparently welded the drain bolt on there, I had to buy a whole new pan. I drove the jeep half way to Evanston after I left the lot before the check engine light came on to inform me of the cap and exhaust issue. Wouldnt trust them enough to buy another vehicle from them again.
Bodywork on my SUV. A great job at a low price.
They do good work and their prices are cheaper than most places. I would recommend Hatch auto repair and auto body.
Great local used car sales. Family owned, honest and nice selection of vehicles.
The staff here is very friendly and helpful! They keep your best interest in mind. I will definitely recommend them to friends and family!
Purchased a gorgeous 2006 GMC duramax from Hatchco, outstanding service from both associates. Very honest, and quick to help out with any question or concerns. I would recommend Hatchco auto sales to anyone looking to purchase a used truck or SUV.
Morgan treated me great and spent a lot of time helping me out with my trade in decision. He was honest, straight up with me, and didnt waste my time with shady sales tactics or BS. He communicated with me throughout the whole process before I even came in and the actual time spent making the trade in and driving off the lot was less than an hour.
Absolutely the best auto dealership in the state of Utah.
Got a nice vehicle but the lies about the things they said they did to it...
Family owned, honest, trustworthy, no pressure sales, great service, fair prices. I love walking off the lot feeling confident that Ive purchased a solid vehicle at a fair price and havent been pressured to buy, ripped off, or scammed. I wouldnt purchase a vehicle anywhere else.
If you are considering buying a used vehicle from this family owned business, DONT. I recently bought a pickup from Hatchco and was helped by a member of the Hatch family. After the purchase I called with some concerns and was treated disrespectfully- raised voice, accusing words, and incredulity that I should have any concerns about this big purchase because they had done me quite a favor. If you are looking for good customer service, go somewhere else. In this case, small business does NOT mean good business.
Home town garage. Fair and honest pricing and interest in your car for repair and purchase.
Morgan and the guys have always been great to work with and always have great prices on vehicles I have bought 2 trucks and my wifes Suv. They have all been great running vehicles. They will always have my business thanks for a great car buying experience
Pulled into this car lot and parked, then walked around the entire lot looking at trucks. The people were clearly visible inside the office, but I never saw anyone come out to check on me or give me any assistance.
Loved working with the people/staff here at Hatch Co. Theyre very knowledgeable and helpful! I would highly reccomend going here over any where else!
I bought a pickup from them 6 weeks ago and paid for it with cash and credit card in full upon pickup. They told me that it takes a while to get the title released from the bank since they apparently owed money on it. So they gave me temporary plates for 6 weeks.I still didnt get the title 4 days before my temporary plates expired so I called them and they said theyd overnight it. So I called again 2 days later and they said they had shipped it overnight the previous day.So another day later - still no title- they told me a story about one of their employees lying about the shipping etc. Now my plates are expired, I cant drive my pickup anymore without risking to get a ticket, I still dont have a title and I wonder what else they lied about...
The sales guys were awesome to deal with help me get into one very good looking Duramax would highly recommend going through them for your next car
Absolutely the sleaziest dealer iv ever gotten a vehicle from, DO NOT waste your time or money here and go to a more reputable dealer. Ive had nothing but problems with my truck from day one
Down to earth, to the point place. Had a great experience here!
After looking at a truck here, I took it to the dealership to get a pre purchase inspection. Upon test driving it, it started to die when changing gears. Reverse wouldnt work if it was on a hill. Both axles needed maintenance and work. Out of a 132 point inspection it only passed a few dozen of said points and the best they could do on the price was 600 dollars off. When talking to the salesman, he said the truck had just been fully serviced and looked over at Hatch Co, was reliabile and ready to go. Not the case and Im glad I took it elsewhere for an inspection! Unprofessional and dishonest, will be taking my business elsewhere.
Our Go-To place for clean cars.
STAY AWAY! I bought a truck from them a couple months ago and have had nothing but problems with it. I called the week after I bought it and tried to undo the deal but of course they would not take it back. I kept calling and asking if there was anything they could do to help me with repairs, the only answer I got was that they would talk to their mechanic and call me back. I never heard back and they stopped returning my calls. The latest problem is something that should not have passed inspection. Ive only put 1000 miles on the truck and it looks to have been bad a lot longer than that. Now Ive put almost $800 into fixing everything and still dont have a reliable vehicle. I strongly recommend NOT buying anything from here!
Nice people to work with. They will be fair with you.
Couldnt get salesman out of his seat to show a vehicle
One of the only honest car mechanics I know of
I had them fix a starter in my 2007 Honda Accord EX. They quoted a fair price and stuck to it. They performed the work well. I would recommend them.
Bought a truck from Hatchco, and had issues from day one. Contacted the salesman who sold me the truck, described the issues, and he did see that the most serious issue was addressed. Bottom line was he was under no obligation to perform any repairs, but he did anyway.
Has lots of stock but its because they dont usually follow market pricing and value for the area.
Great service!!
Great friendly sevice.
Drove out to north dakota to buy a used truck, the vehicle was everything they said it would be at a fair price. Thanks
Fantastic company
Always honest and fair.
All the trucks I looked at had something broken on them
Terrible service, they didnt know where their cars were
Good
Another car lot
