Clayton was the hero we needed.My wife and I were on a road trip for our 30th anniversary. Wed just bought a new (to us) car that is loaded with after market custom rock crawling gear. In Death Valley our car started making some pretty serious grinding sounds. We limped to Las Vegas, where I was able to confirm that the seals on the transfer case were leaking badly. No shops would even look at our car for the next two weeks. We brought it in to Discount Muffler Brakes and Clayton gave it his best shot but the seals on our transfer case are proprietary. I ordered the parts. One day later the new parts were installed and we were back on the road.

Great Shop. Brian is a great help and knows everything about what hes doing. I brought him 2 cars, one of which was a PORSCHE to get performance mufflers installed, great price and high quality work, worthy of even a car of that price point, it looks like it was installed at the Porsche factory.I also brought him my Ford Explorer and he did a great job with that as well, they worked with me on the price and was able to do both cars the same day. They always deliver a good service. As long as the parts are ready and available it doesnt take long for them to finish the job! Friendly and will always work with the customers requests. Very good and trustworthy mechanic. I have used his shop a few times. First time thought my ac compressor was going out instead of just telling me yeah you need $1500 to fix ac. He found a fuse that wasnt making proper connection and charged me $100. Next time had a bunch of little things brakes, oil change, light bulbs, and wheel bearings. It was less than $500. A mechanic who knows how to actually diagnosis and not just throw parts at a problem.

Brian was very professional and helpful in explaining what was going on with my car. They are honest in their work and I would highly recommend. Definitely going to use their services again.

Had a custom exhaust done 5 or 6 times now for my personal vehicles, sent friends, and even work related jobs to Brian and the crew. In my experience, theyre always done before the estimated time done. (Mind you, we are talking about automotive here) -Results may varyEven the last time, I bought a vehicle with the exhaust exiting the bed side, and changed the muffler completely up. Guess what, they nailed it with placement. Still fits perfectly, and Ive never had a single issue with any one of their jobs. Ever. (No, not sponsored or paid, just a super happy customer that will always recommend them to everyone.)

Today for the the 3rdtime had to deal with a man name Clayton very races man talk to owner Brian from discount mufflers he decide not to fix the problem. They called the cops on me and was humiliated I did not even had to pay for my car note. After the police arrived .

This facility is #1 for me and my family. They do a great job servicing our vehicles. Shop is clean Bryan and his crew are very professional. We trust them to give us a fair price, they never upsell you only do the things necessary to your vehicle.

Called Brian about my AC going out. He got me in same day as I was preparing for a 6 hour, 100 degree roadtrip back to Utah. He is extremely proficient and figured out the issue very fast. Turns out, my warranty will have cover all work completed by dealership where I purchased the car. I did not have Brian replace anything even as he priced out the work over the phone. I picked up the car and expected to be charged for his time and effirts in diagnosising the issue. He did not charge and was upfront and honest. I greatly appreciated this as a tourist who was having one thing after another go wrong on their trip. Brian and this company were a bright spot for my daughter and I on this trip. Very appreciative. Highly recommend this company and Brians service.

Thanks for the help! My brakes were super shaky. Bryan inspected my car right away to make sure that its safe to drive home and got me in first thing on the next day morning. These guys are amazing. I got an oil change from someone else and they almost doubled the price of what they told me I needed to have replaced so I went to discount muffler and they save me hundreds of dollars, and they told me the best words that a mechanic can utter, “you don’t need to have that replaced yet,” so I’m postponing the other item that I need to get replaced at some point because I don’t need to get it done yet so I’m glad they are honest.

Staff was very nice and communicative. Explained my problem every step of the way and gave me great recommendations. They made the repair easy to understand! And now my air works great which was the goal!

The most honest mechanic shop you will ever go to!!! Bryan has saved us so much money. He will not make repairs that are not necessary. I had an oil change and a complete check up, my car needed 3 separate repairs, I didnt have the money to do all the repairs at once. Bryan suggested that I do one of the repairs last (in a 3 month time) because I had just gotten an oil change and the repair would need a new oil change. Bryan did not try to get me for another oil change until it was time to have it done. Thank you Bryan for all that you have done for us. Keep up the good work!!!

Customer Service & A/C RepairThis was the first time using Discount Muffler Brake A/C.Looking for a shop close to where I live I found them. After reading plenty of reviews I decided to give them a try to fix my A/C.Upon taking my truck (2000 F150) there in this troubled time. They made me feel comfortable with a area in the shade just out side there front door to wait while they trouble shoot my truck.The customer service is one of the friendliest I’ve come across in a while.They diagnosed the A/C problem with my truck gave me a estimate to repair which was a very fair price.When they gave me the estimate to repair my truck I did not feel like they were trying to sell me a bill of goods and extra work not necessary like other shops try and do.They repaired my A/C the bill came out just as estimated plus’s the didn’t charge me for the time spent diagnosing my truck.So in short if you are looking for a fair priced and honest automotive shop to repair your vehicle you have found the right shop.They met my expectations far and above.

Easy to get along with good prices

Dont go here, instead of using the stock hangers they screwed into my heat shield on a rare car.and charged me $279, it also was next to my rear axle about a dime thickness away.

Seems to me this is the only place I would take my car for any maintenance friendly and respectful and a honest price for the work done. Unlike other shops you can rest easy taking your car here just know reservations only at this time

Ive been taking my car in for service to this place since 2011 after having several bad experiences at the dealership and havent looked back. Clayton and Brian always explain what service/repair is needed and provide alternatives when possible. The shop is very busy but manages to provide thorough service every time and keeps track of your vehicles history for future reference. They keep my car running at its best and I always have a great experience when dealing with Clayton, Brian, or the new office manager. These guys are exceptional!

Took the truck in for an oil change and check the brakes. Ended up needing rear shoes, but there was no up sell, no hustle, just straight forward diagnosis and what it needed. Price was right on with what I was quoted over the phone so there were no surprises at all. This is the second time Ive taken my truck in and Ive also had my sons car in here. Each time its a pleasure to do business with these guys. Always friendly and cheerful. I wont take my vehs anywhere else now that Ive experienced the service and professionalism at Discount.

Bryan and his staff are top notch. Everyone is friendly, professional and they take their time with customers - all the work they’ve completed on my Jeep has been thoroughly explained. Also, they’re more than fair when it comes to charges. There has been more than one occasion where I was pleasantly surprised with the final bill. I have no doubt they could have charged more than they did.

They are my go-to place in Las Vegas for oil changes on my 2001 F-350 diesel. Discount Muffler has also checked and recharged my A/C, replaced my windshield washer nozzles and lines, and installed new battery cables installed. The work was done very professionally and I have had no problems since. They are not the cheapest place in town for an oil change and lube job but you get what you pay for. The price for the other work was very reasonable.

I have been taking our company trucks to Discount Muffler and Brake for about 1 year now. They have always been quick on the turnaround and very fair with their pricing. I have also had them call me and tell me that their is no charge or they are discounting the rate because of what they have found being less that expected. It is great that there is still and Honest shop around. I recommend these guys to anyone needing auto repair.

Great service. Went in, they got my car in in 5 mins or less, came out 5 minutes later and gave me a quote for a muffler replacement (welding), $40 for a half hour with the cutting and the welding. Quick, easy, cheap, and quality. They are truly the best, most honest, and nicest shop Ive ever been to.

I highly recommend Discount Muffler Brakes and A/C, Inc. I went through the entire process. I emailed them last night --> I had a reply first thing this morning. I called to make an appointment --> Customer service was good and there availability for an appointment was immediate. I took the car in and explained what was going on. The female working took my order and said I will get a call with a quote --> They called with a quote within 2 hours and this place was pretty busy when I dropped my car off. I believe Bryan called me and broke down my estimate. He answered all my questions and provided suggestions for future repairs. I respect that he did not say that I had to get his suggestions done immediately. The expectation for my repairs was up to 4 hours --> I told them no hurry and they were done before 5pm. After almost getting screwed by BEST MUFFLER IN TOWN, I took a shot and went to these guys. Absolutely hands down a better and professional shop. They fixed what I couldnt and fixed what BEST MUFFLER screwed up. Even after that they called a few days later to see if my problem was fixed to my liking? Who does that? It was a custom job and a classic truck. Will definitely be back and I pass out there business card whenever someone asks for exhaust work. I know the shop does more but cant respond on that.

I have taken my 91 Skyline here twice and everytime they work on it Im happy with the job they do and the prices they give me. If your car has a problem with another part other than what you took it in for theyll call you and ask you if youre okay with them replacing it. They will be very co-operative with you and help you out with whatever problem youre having. They dont have that bad stigma from other shops that do shady stuff which I love about this place and thats why I trust them with my car.
