This place came highly recommend so we thought wed give it a try. We went there several months ago and ordered a blueberry fritter, an apple fritter, and glazed donut. The fritters were very dark brown, obviously overcooked, they tasted burned and wereinedible. The glazed donut wasnt burned but had a burned taste as well, Im assuming from the grease. Since it was highly recommended we thought wed try it again. The donuts were not overcooked but still had a burned flavor. I think the grease needs to be be changed. I wont go back.

The customer service was fantastic. The lady behind the counter was super nice and friendly. However, my family and I did not enjoy the donuts at all. It could have been that we were there a little later in the day, but our donuts definitely tasted day-old, if not older. Would have given a lower rating had the customer service not been so good.

We go here every Saturday. Well... we used to. This morning we went to Donut burst as our weekly tradition and sadly, there was a sign in the window letting everyone know that due to a terminal illness in the owner’s family, they have to close for good. My heart is broke! My whole life I’ve never been a donut fan. Krispy Kreme was the only donut I would eat until my girlfriend and her grandma brought me Donut Burst. It became our weekly tradition and we loved coming here every Saturday and seeing Kiva the wolf outside with her owner and being greeted with a smile by the owner! We will miss Donut Burst and it will always be my favorite donut! We hope maybe someday you will open again❤️

Fantastic donuts! I love fritters and these are the absolute best. Everything Ive had has been delicious. The owners are the best they are so sweet. We moved into the area recently and this will definitely be our go to place for donuts.

I stumbled in here during the fall season as a last attempt looking for cider donuts, but apparently this is not a thing that exists in Colorado (heartbreaking). They had a cinnamon apple flavor which was the closest I would get so I figured I would give it a try. This is a total hole-in-the-wall donut shop that I believe is owned by a Turkish family (basing this assumption on the fact that they make it a point to say they sell Turkish coffee, but I am really not sure). These donuts are amazing! They are thick and the flavors are rich. The cinnamon crunch and blueberry are my other favorite flavors. This is now my go-to donut shop and I come here whenever I want to treat myself. I just wish they had some form of iced coffee and this place would be perfect. But still 5 stars because the donuts are that good!

Apple fritter was amazing! The maple and glazed old fashioned were one of the best I’ve had. This is one of the best donut places in the Denver/Lakewood area. I’ve been to a bunch of donut shops in Denver and Lakewood, this one is my favorite. The donuts are reasonably priced and absolutely delicious. You will not be disappointed I promise!

There is a dearth of good donut shops in the western suburbs of Denver. I dont know why. But my wife and I go out of our way to come here to Donut Burst. I love the cinnamon crumble and my wife loves the glazed old fashioned. Ill sometimes bring a dozen donuts from here when visiting a client and its always a hit.

Great donuts. Stopped by here quickly to grab some before a meeting. Had been wanting to try this place for a while. Glad I finally did. I really like the old fashioned Donuts. They taste really good. You might want get here early if its the weekends they may sell out. Also they might have more in the back so dont worry if you only see two of the kind you want just ask if they have more. Very friendly customer service. I also love the saying on the box.

Thief!!!!! I ordered a breakfast sandwich. Went to the register the owner told me $5.35. I put my card in. The price came up like normal then the tip screen. But wait. The tip screen disappeared very fast. I looked at the owner and shrugged my shoulders. He said” don’t worry just sign just sign “.after he didn’t offer me a receipt I didn’t right about it. So as he prepares my order I check my bank account. Yup he tipped him self. I called him out He told me to go F my self.

Friendly staff, decent donuts but nothing memorable. After sampling a solid variety, we came to the conclusion that the donuts were pretty dense compared to others we’ve tried. My favorite was the bear claw which had apple filling in the toes, unexpected but nice. Prices also seemed high for a small shop - $16 / dozen with only (2) “specialty” donuts added - the regular dozen price was around $10.

Donuts were hard and dry. Sign says 9.99 dozen. Charged 11.99. Ordered 6 breakfast sandwiches, all bacon. Got all gyros. Also sign says 2.99. Charged 3.99 each.

Im from Texas and i didnt realize how hard its been the last 5 years to find a good donut shop. These people are the kindest sweetest people Ive ever meet! A giant Pluss in my book was they have pig in a blankets and boyyyyy where they good! Ill definitely go out of my way to stop by here again!

I just spent $40 on 3 boxes of donuts and they were really bad. Judging by the hardness they were at least 24 hours old if not more. I called to let them know and got no apologies or anything just an ok. I asked when the donuts were made and the response was I dont know. I am pretty disappointed. I normally go to another place, but this place is close to my house and I wanted to support a small business in my community. So much for that!

Everywhere Ive lived, you can always find some local donut shop that just does donuts amazingly. This is that place for me. And if youre biking up the Central Bikeway, this place is a fantastic stop after the hill climb. I only got a simple glazed donut but everything on display looked amazing - this will be a regular stop for me.

The best donuts ever! Seriously...you just have to try this non-chain haven of deliciousness for yourself. Id like to keep them a secret but the hard-working owners deserve your business.

3 visits, 3 strikes and they are out. Last visit we waited 10 minutes and the man would not come out of the office. Next to last visit I waited my turn in long line and ordered an apple fritter, not what was in the bag when I got home. Visit before that I asked for an apple fritter, he said there werent any, I could see 3 or 4 different kinds in the case. I wish they would put up a sign saying Stay Away! No service if you are female.

Cant comment on the quality of donuts because we walked out. We walked in to hear somebody coughing loudly from the back, and then they came out sans mask and walked to the counter like it was no big thing. When I asked why he wasnt wearing a mask as a food handler, he said he has COPD. So does my mother, I told him, and she has no problem wearing a mask.We left and took our business to Winchells, where everyone including customers were wearing masks, the donuts were fresh, and they gave us two freebies just for our loyalty. Wont make the same mistake again.

Cant give it 1 star because at least they serve things in the shapes of donuts, Flavorless cake donuts and stale fritters, I keep giving them chance after chance and after being there on a Saturday morning while it wasnt busy, I no longer wonder why no one was buying, wouldnt be surprised if they didnt have repeat customers. Also half the time I visit here I have to wait at the front counter for way longer than I should have to, (5-10 minutes on some days) before I am helped, no more business from me

I was making a quick stop for some coffee and they ran out of the medium roast. I had every intention of leaving a four star review because my glass was only filled 12 oz instead of 16 but its my fault I didnt have more time. While I was about to take off in the parking lot the owner or employee came out and gave me to Donuts on the house for the inconvenience. Its the thoughtfulness that really made my day and well get me coming back here even when I dont need something next time

There is only one word to describe this place...Amazing! By far the best Donut joint in Lakewood. I was a raised donut only guy until I had their cake donuts and wow are they amazing. My wife and I visit most Saturday mornings...after the gym :)...and grab two devils food cake donuts with chocolate frosting and nuts on them most Saturdays. Those are by far our favorites. This is a family owned business and the women who typically serves us our donuts is extremely nice, polite and always has a smile on her face. There is a younger gentleman who is there most Saturdays as well and he is very polite and always has a smile on as well. You cant help but be happy when you walk in here. Its a neat place with a eclectic arrangement of seating and is very clean. They always remember us when we go in and greet us with enthusiasm. I am also a big fan of their gyro breakfast sandwiches. I like the fact that they use spot on rewards as well. I hope they are in business for a long time!

Would love to say that the donuts are great. Unfortunately they are not open during the hours posted on their door. Officially a strike out for me... 3 visits during store hours and the door locked all three attempts. Only thing that shows is very poor customer service. No one to answer phones either.

This is definitely the best donut spot in Lakewood! It is a family run, local business and they are all very nice. The fritters are definitely my favorite. They usually have a few flavors like apple, blueberry, and pineapple. My kids love the sprinkle donuts and the jelly filled ones and my husband loves the eclairs. So glad we have such a wonderful business in our neighborhood!

I have only been here once. My wife and I stopped here for a quick test while in a walk. But it was pretty tasty. We each got a donut and a brewed coffee. The man at the counter was friendly. It also looks like they have a very nice seating area. We will have to come here some more for a more detailed review.

Ive been going here since they opened this store! The donuts are absolutely the best Ive ever had, no matter what Im choosing. They have all kinds of pastries in all sorts of styles; from the classic, to the unique. Plenty of drinks and snacks to choose from too. The staff who run the store are always friendly and happy to help, and its been a pleasure keeping an eye on the store and how its doing as I grow. This is all not even mentioning that the prices are incredibly reasonable for what youre getting (But I like to tip extra because these people work hard and they deserve it)!What are you even waiting for? These are the best donuts, fritters, and cinnamon rolls in Denver! Try to go in at night, just before close. They are working on the next days donuts. If you are lucky to get a warm fresh donut, you wont be disappointed! It melts in your mouth!

This is the nicest donut shop Ive ever visited. The owners are very accommodating and keep a neat and tidy establishment. More importantly though, the donuts are perfection. My daughter got the cake donut with pink frosting and sprinkles like she always does. This type of donut is a staple at all donut shops since it was genetically created by scientists to grab every childs attention and program their response mechanism to crave a cheap, sub-par, flavorless mound of sugar and flour. Well Donut Burst broke with tradition and my daughters donut was actually well made and tasty. Even so, it paled in comparison to my bear claw. This bear claw was perfectly fried, glazed to perfection, and the apple filling was plentiful and actually spiced. This place stands out from anything in this area.

I love this establishment. This family business is special. Their donut recipes are incredible but more importantly the owners are kind and personable. If you offer kindness you are given kindess tenfold in exchange. Ive taken the time to say hello just as they have and share stories of life and our lifes events, even shared garden veggies. I always have a pleasant experience when I go in here. The staff is very friendly and the donuts are amazing. If you havent eaten the cinnamon donut you have no idea what youre missing. This is easily one of the best donut shops around.

Overcharged me $3 more than the menu price for a dozen bagels and told me someone must of change the sign even though he(owner) had to of known. I got into my car and my daughter tells me theres green fuzzys on the bagels IT WAS MOLD, on more then half of them that the owner handed picked for my box. He knew right away to pull the 20 I payed with before I said anything. Would not recommend! 8/1/19

The donuts were delicious, and the owner was very nice, friendly, and patient with me since I was a bit indecisive in picking my donuts. This place is a hidden gem tucked away in nowhere. Indeed a great find!

Decided to try this place since its up the street from my house. I bought a donut and went to go sit down, (I had an empty coffee cup/water bottle with me) and the man working there told me that they dont allow drinks inside their shop and I tryed telling him it was empty but he shrugged his shoulders and continued to tell me that its not allowed. So I felt that he was pretty much telling me to leave So I got up and left. As a first time customer this was very disappointing. He didnt say anything about my empty cup until after I paid for a donut and sat down. I felt very unwelcome there after that and Im disappointed that I dont have a new donut shop to go to.

Probably one of the best apple fritters in town. This place is open all the time and they are always really friendly. I have stopped here for donuts on the way to go skiing a couple of times and it is always a quick and delicious start to the day.

Stopped in for the first time, and considering that evening is not the best time to buy donuts, I was very pleased with the quality and taste.Stopped by later and placed an order for four dozen to take to class. Very friendly family owned and operated. Great donuts but the real draw for us are the breakfast gyros. Can be a bit of a wait for those if theyre busy but always worth it!

Nice owners, large, no loud music thankfully - you can hear each other talk. The most important thing is that they have great donuts! No specialty coffees - just regular or decaf. I go for the donuts.

Walked into this shop today and needless to say it was very busy! The staff was awesome and very welcoming. They happened to know a lot of their regulars by name. It was very refreshing to see this mom and pop shop doing so well.

Great place for seniors to gather at in the mornings. Parking is limited The doughnuts and pastry goods are fresh daily but I think the ingredients for the critters and bear claws may have changed somewhat including the size. Coffee was good bread from drip no barista styles available. Breakfast menu is small and limited following religious food restrictions. The owners are very pleasant and desire to be helpful to all customers. Worth visiting and returning
