Absolutely outstanding work, Im a shop certified mechanic from the 90s and I bring my bike here because they do great work at a fair price.Dave is a tremendous guy!
Absolutely a top-tier shop. Dave (the owner) clearly takes pride in doing good work. After calling a half-dozen bike shops I was finally able to find the tools and parts I needed here, and with lower mark-ups than Ive seen at most small shops. Dave clearly knows his stuff, and was helpful and friendly answering my questions about greases and maintenance even though he was closing up shop and Id only spent a couple bucks. I usually do all my own repairs and dont generally like having other people work on my bikes, but Id absolutely trust this place if something was outside my ability or tool collection.
Dave is a consummate professional. Not only does he know literally everything about bikes, but he loves to work on them. That passion for his profession comes through in his work. Of the myriad things I have had Dave fix over the last year, not a single job has been unsatisfactory in any way, shape, or form. The work itself is flawless. The pandemic has been hard on everyone, bike shops especially, so keep your damn pants on, be patient, take your bike to Dave, and let him get the job done right.
Very friendly, excellent service, fantastic neighborhood resource! No matter what kind of odd-ball help Ive needed, Dave has helped out. I broke my Ortlieb pannier clip - he ordered in the right part, plus a spare. My fat-tire ebike got a flat and Dave got me back on the road the same afternoon. Green Mountain/Lakewood residents are lucky to have such a valuable local resource.
This place is truly great!I needed a tire repaired and ( unlike my previous shop in Wheatridge ) Dave answered my call on the 1st ring, and had me back on the road within an hour! After looking things over, he suggested new rubber grips and he even installed a bell at my requestA to Z, this place is the BEST in town,, yes, it was like 1956 all over again!Friendly, professional, old fashioned side-walk service, from two fine fellows who truly care. Imagine that! And yes, Ill be back!Be sure to call Dave. You will be glad you did !Mike MLakewood CO
Dave is outstanding! He helped me figure out and fix a problem with my tubeless tires. His turnaround time and professionalism was spectacular. If youre looking for great service at a reasonable price Dave at Full Service Bicycle is your guy!
Excellent shop - Im lucky to live a few miles away and started using Full Service recently. Instead of replacing my bottom bracket they were able to put in the correct spacer and save me the cost of a new one. Be aware they are short staffed so call ahead and be patient!
We dont write many reviews. But, we thought Full Service Bicycle deserved a review. In summary, the shop is a great place to take your bike for maintenance. They are thoughtful and responsive, even during these difficult times we are living in. They also take COVID protocols VERY seriously and we really appreciate and respect that. We took in our Niner Jet RDO for shock maintenance for both the fork and rear shock. After talking to them, we could get the sense they were detailed and thorough. They even stayed late to complete the maintenance so we could have the bike back for a Moab trip. The shocks worked fantastic in Moab. THANK YOU Full Cycle Bicycle. We would recommend Full Service Bicycle to anyone with a bicycle. Really.
Once again, Dave comes through to fix my bike and get me out riding the trails. He does everything with nothing! He is constantly battling the pandemic and losing employees to quarantine, and he just keeps going. He’ll fix a small problem using his quick curbside service, which is super helpful because he can fix most problems in just a few minutes. He literally knows everything there is to know about bikes; he’s the only mechanic I trust, and I’ve tried a lot around Denver. I highly recommend Dave at Full Service Bicycle to repair and maintain your bikes.
Dave, the owner and head mechanic, is the only person I trust to work on my bikes. He knows every detail of every bike and I know that he will fix my bike properly the first time. His curbside service is very handy for quick fixes and he has good turn around times when the it’s a bigger job. He’s the best bike mechanic!
Great shop and service!
Did a great job matching me up with the parts I needed.
Great service and professional staff help to make the experience a breeze.i know my bikes are taken care of here.
Ive been calling and calling and calling these people for weeks and they never have once answered their phone.Edit reply: Lol, they talk about me taking personal responsibility. How about ANSWER YOUR PHONE DURING BUSINESS HOURS. Imagine owning a business and thinking that not answering the phone is somehow the customers fault. Dodged a bullet with this company for sure.
Ive taken my road bike, (and mountain bike) to this shop several times now and the service is AMAZING and EXTREMELY reasonably priced! Very knowledgable, and friendly, and certainly make me feel very comfortable in trusting their knowledge/expertise! I will never use another bike shop as long as theyre in business!
I paid $130 to have what seems nothing done. I bought a new bike and wanted to get it tuned so I brought it to Full Service Bicycle. I picked up the bike after they said that they had tuned it. I started to go on a ride with my friends and the handle bars were loose. I tightened the handle bars up only to find that the shifters, brakes and seat were also loose. From what I can tell they just charged me and did nothing to the bike! My advice is do not go to Full Service Bicycle you will end up doing the work yourself. There is no excuse for this! Will not go back they can not be trusted!!! I would give them 0 stars if possible!!!
My chain fell of prior to riding today and they fixed it without a wait or hesitation. I highly recommend this place. My boyfriend had service done here for a nice new mountain bike and he was extremely happy with the service.
Super nice and helpful. Squeezed me into their busy schedule as my problem was simple to fix.
Great little shop. Terrific job on maintaining my bike. Brought wheels in for a true, and they took care of it. Ive tried other shops in the area, with mixed success. Wheat ridge cycles is closer to me, but they didnt have the professional mechanics to do the job, nor the systems in place to ensure quality customer service. (They agent sure if they completed the job I picked up my bike). So, this shop is great!
They got me in right away and I love their process of keeping things safe and clean for everyone. Thank you I appreciate you!!
Ive taken my bike into FSB on 3 occasions and had a positive experience each time. I find them to be honest, reliable, and they try to get the bike back to you as soon as possible.
Worst experience ever... I was referred by a friend and honestly this place blows. I dropped off my bike for a warranty on a part. They said the item was approved for warranty and they will contact the manufacturer. After almost 3 weeks of no response from my emails or calls. They finally picked up and said they havent touched my bike at all or contacted the manufacturer. yep you heard it 3 weeks of nothing. I told them I wanted that bike out of the shop. This was super unprofessional and their excuse was the phones arent working. uhh.. what about your emails? clearly these guys cant handle working on bikes. dont bring it to them.
Great small business ownership! Love the attitude! Definitely recommend!
Awesome service and sales! My wife and I bought 2 bikes from these guys last year. They tuned the bike very well before we left. Had just one minor adjustment and they were again, very friendly and fast. We returned again to have more customizing done and have been extremely pleased.Would HIGHLY recommend??
This is the best bike shop I have ever had the pleasure of working with. I had multiple bad experiences with other shops around the area until I finally found Full Service Bicycle and I havent gone anywhere else since. I have brought in 2 different bikes to this shop on multiple occasions and its always been great experience. I have even recommended this place to a few friends and family members who have brought their bikes here and now wont go anywhere else. Thank you guys for being such a kind, professional and hard working business! You deserve much more then a 5 star rating.
This place is interesting, It gives the vibe of a solid place to take your bike. However my interaction with Dave and his strong-arm business tactics were questionable. Sale priced tires that were not sale-priced, according to the market. They were MSRP. And an unfriendly return policy. It started with a phone call asking about wheels and truing, and we came to the conclusion that itd be best to buy a new wheel. I got recommended an inexpensive wheel that matched up in diameter. He told me he would call me about the wheel the next day. I had to call Him the next day, went over and got the wheel. When I went home to install It, I found out that the axle width was wrong, it was 135mm, mine being 130mm. (I know you can shove a 135 into a 130) Number two: the freewheel wobbled pretty badly, my old one that came with the bike had little to no play. A wobbling freewheel is a sign of inferior machining and is pretty common with inexpensive wheels, but why would a store even bother to stock bad product?I had forgotten to tell them it was a 130mm wheel hub. Why couldnt they have had measured the wheel at the store? At this point, I either want a refund, or an upgrade to a better wheel. I call and explain the situation, and am told that I cannot return the wheel because they installed rim-tape on it. I hadnt even installed a tire on the rim. Like taping a rim somehow makes it unsaleable. ( A bent axle sure does ) Tape would have been added regardless of who buys it next.I end up going to the store to see what the deal is, hoping maybe I can get a better wheel with a better hub, or exchange. Dave will not even let me get a word in edge-wise, I end up having to explain that I fully Intend to bring this up with the Better Business Bureau as this was absurdly unaccommodating. I had purchased the wheel literally a day before. At that point he suddenly decides to honor a refund. Vying that I will never be able to do business with them again. In regards to the reply: abuse? How is not knowing what you want to buy and then getting home to discover that the product you had just purchased wasnt the one you want, and then wanting a return after having done nothing to said product, abuse? If anything it would be failing to explain your stringent return policy when I made the purchase. Had I known about it, I would not have even bothered with your store.
Dave and team are top notch! Use them for small and large tasks all the time without issue on all my bikes. Good spot for quick grabs of accessory items as well.
Thanks Dave for a first-rate tuneup. My 30-year-old bike rides like new.
Dave has been servicing my bikes for many years, even back when he owned his previous shop - Bike Station. Im so glad to have him in the neighborhood now. He is very particular about who he hires to work with him, so whether its him personally working on my bike or one of his staff like Devon, its done right and at a reasonable price. While his shop is small from a sq ft standpoint, his layout still allows him to have a good selection. In 2014, he rebuilt the shock/fork on my bike, my wifes bike and a friends bike and we all three had the same experience - it was like riding a new bike! Thanks Dave and I hope when you find a bigger space, that its still nearby!
Dave has built a great service shop here in Lakewood. Good bikes and accessories (not a ton of inventory but just what you need) and runs a fair priced quick and professional service bay. On more than one occasion, Ive dropped in on him for an adjustment only to be back on the road in a few minutes running smoothly again. This is my new shop
I am primarily a runner, and when I broke a toe in October and couldnt run my bicycle needed new tires and tubes. I didnt find that out until I was a couple miles from home and the rear tire split. I walked to the closest bike shop, which did not have a tire for my comfort bike because Its ski season. I walked another half mile to Full Service and was on the road in 45 minutes at a reasonable cost. There is a review above regarding parts purchased elsewhere. This is ALWAYS customer risk. Im in a completely different business, but we have the same policy. Auto mechanics have the same policy. T-shirt printers, same. A craftsman needs to control all variables to do his job right. Glad to see that ownership is confident enough to charge what their expertise is worth.
I took my Specialized road bike to Full Service Bicycle yesterday. They were AWESOME. I am an older woman and they treated me very well (no patronizing.) Even though, they were very busy, they looked at my bike and did some minor adjustments. $13.00 Really. This is after I had taken it to a big name bike shop that did work that wasnt really necessary and charged me a fortune. I just took the bike out for a spin. Its as good as new. Now I am ready for Elephant Rock on Sunday. THANK YOU very much.
This place is fantastic and the only place I trust to work on my bike - I do most of the work myself because I have trust issues with other shops. Their mechanics are just as good if not better than the shop 20 minutes away owned by a Tour de France stage winner. Theyre WAY better than the other shop in the neighborhood that gets great reviews. 5 stars, 2 thumbs up, etc. etc.
Brought a newly purchased bike in today that was having some issues. Not only did I walk out with a perfectly working ride at a shockingly reasonable price, the guy I can only assume was the owner had no issue with me peppering him with questions about what the problems were, what they caused, and how he was fixing them. I really appreciate that willingness to educate. Thank you!
I went in requesting they build a custom tubular wheel set and glue some tubular tires on them. I had purchased all the parts from my team shop (discount on parts but shop is far away) and brought them into Full Service to build. They said that they did a spoke calculation and that all my parts were fine. Turns out they were not. They installed the spokes and realized they were too long so they had to switch them out, but didnt tell me this. I found out when I went to pick them up they billed me an extra $50 for the new spokes and gave me back the installed spokes, which can no longer be returned. Additionally I dropped the wheels off nearly two weeks and they said theyd be ready to race by the weekend. I ended up picking them up on a Saturday afternoon, therefore not being able to race them the following day since the glue didnt have enough time to cure. They seem like nice guys but I was really pissed about not telling me about the spokes. Had they told me they were the wrong size, I would have brought them back to the shop I bought them from for a refund. They didnt even offer me a discount for not telling me about the spokes or for the delay in getting my wheels. I was very displeased with their service and wont ever do business with them again.
Super cool little no-nonsense shop. Very knowledgeable and friendly staff. Stopped in with a broken chain and they sold me a new one and even installed it while I waited. Thanks!
This owner is a pathological liar... nothing he said below is true. serious warning of a unhinged individual! beware! As you can see from how he reacts to criticism of his bike shop in every post, he has lost it. Dont let your children go here if you value respect and decency. Good luck!
Best place to get all of your service and repair needs! Locally owned and operated. David is friendly and quick to let you know what needs to be done. The pricing is right on point.
Dave was amazing!.After waiting a week for another bike shop down the road to do absolutely nothing with my bike,i brought it to Dave and had it back the same day..He was willing to help me keep the cost to a minimum by using parts he had around his shop that were new or almost new(with my consent of course, and he mentioned he usually doesnt do that). With the other Bike shop down the road my wife and I were disrespected,over-charged, lied to,then told to never come back..Dave was very respect full, super honest, and more than happy to help us with anything, keeping my love for biking and bicycles alive..
Always my go to shop, been going there for 5+ years. Great shop can’t recommend more!
My 15-year-old son is an avid mountain biker. He went in and no one bothered to talk to him. He asked a question about installation on new shifters and was told it depends and thats it. Not sure if its overall bad service or because hes a teen, but my son spends a lot on his bike, and is a good, polite kid. So its their loss.
Went in to have a rear derailleur installed during my lunch break the day before national bike to work day. Impossible you think, right? Well, thats what I was told by 3 other shops in Golden, but this was not the case with Full Service Bicycle. They got me in and out with time to spare. Its my only experience with the shop but it was better than I couldve asked for so Im giving 5 stars.
These guys are the best. They fix even the most complex problems on old vintage bike and newer bikes as well. If there is a solution then they will find it. They are very knowledgeable and prompt.
Great experience with this shop. Highly knowledgable and professional service shop with unbelievably fast turn-around.
Dave and his folks are simply wonderful - they are very customer-focused, honest, hard-working, reasonable in price, and are not just a great bicycle repair shop, they are the kind of people and business owners that are wonderful to have in our community! Thank you all!
As a beginner I needed more help than your typical customer. Dave at Full Service was very helpful with advice for maintaining my equipment, parts, tweeks, and good places to ride. If youre like me and need advice by a professional, than I highly recommend this shop.
I always receive great service here. Dave has a ton of knowledge in bikes. He doesnt just recommend the most expensive fix, but tells you all the options to get you back on the trail/road (whatever youre in to) and let you decide which route to go. Even the times that Ive stopped by in a time crunch to get back on the trail, Dave and his team (dont know the guys name yet) usually are able to slide me in. If I have a technical question or need an opinion about a product or trail on the front range, the guys here can answer it.
Dave, I just read your response and see your point. Im adding this to the original message below and upping the stars so that my original review doesnt affect your overall rating. In my experience with many bike shops over the last 30 years, as customer and employee, simple things like seating a tire on a rim (or letting a customer use your compressor to do it) were complimentary and a perk done for regular customers, or as kind of a bonus to attract return business. But I do understand how a tubeless mount may be more complicated. And every business has its policies that it needs to stick by. So take this as a retraction of my earlier review. Thanks and best of luck.Sometimes its the little things... I feel that a good bike shop is knowledgeable and offers good customer service. While I think Dave is the former, today I was surprised by the latter. As a recent customer, who spent over a hundred bucks, Im sure he recognized me, but refused to help me out getting a tire seated on a rim. I just needed some compressed air to do this as I dont have a compressor at home. He offered to do the whole service only. I get that he needs to make money for the service he provides (I own a small biz too), but its the little things you do for your customers that keep them coming back. Its what they remember. And Its too bad, as this shop is within walking distance to me, but I will drive to a different shop from now on. In fact I drove over to one in Green Mountain and they didnt bat an eye when I asked for help with the tire. Thats good service. I ended up buying some sealant, lube, and some other stuff while I was there. Anyway, I hope the owner reads this and changes it up a little as I think it would help keep more customers coming back.
David did a great job quickly troubleshooting and fixing my rear shock mounts while I waited. He is an excellent mechanic and knows what he is doing.
Dave and his crew are knowledgable friendly and honest. Do yourself a favor and take your bike here for good service.
They diagnosed my gear and shifter problems right away and had the right parts on hand already. Thanks!! My bike is basically my car--it was fantastic to have timely and great service.
Dave and his team are amazing. Knowledgeable, helpful experts. Excellent service.
Today was my first time owning a 29 inch mountain bike and although I only went in for a bike pump, i got much more by the time I left and I had felt like the owner truly wanted to inform me on anything I had a question about and was very helpful and didnt make me feel like some idiot noob, so for that I give them a 5 out of 5 based on the customer service he represented, and the ability to inform me without making me feel like I shouldve already known that. Thank you sir, I will be returning!
This is the pinnacle of bike repair, this store is professionally trained with some of the best mechanics around, get fixed up correctly
Drive train on my daily driver was clunky, inspected and found a cracked pully gear. They had the replacements on hand and installed in ten minutes, and they tuned up the derailleur so my ride is smooth as silk. Picked up a headlight while I was there, not many options but what they had on hand happened to be the top rated lights from all the reviews I was reading last night, so Im not dissatisfied. Ill be back when I need drive train work in the future!
Received great service at a fair price from Max!
Dave knows whats up! Always a go-to for parts/accessories, advice and service. I wouldnt hesitate to let him work on my bikes.
Easy. Knowledgeable and really helpful. Excellent example of what a LBS is and should be.
This place always takes care of me and is super knowledgeable and not stingy about sharing that knowledge. It is my go-to shop for parts, maintenance that is over my head or requires tools I dont have, and advice.
As a former bike wrench I am particular about who I let work on my bike. After failing to fix a complex bottom bracket issue I threw my hands up and stopped by Full Service simply because it was down the road. Dave spent extensive time researching the issue going out of his way to call SRAM and Niner on a bike that I didnt even purchase from him. His dedication to fixing it right separates this shop from most shops in town. In addition, I challenge another shop to have this level QUALITY parts to get your ride back on the trail/road. This is my new bike-shop.
Went in to ask a simple question about how to fix my sons BMX. The owner (I guess thats Dave) looked at me, said the other guy would be able to help me (the other guy was busy with a bike for customer who was already in the store waiting). So I waited for 17 minutes while Dave dinked around back and completely ignored me.. Finally the other guy finished with the customer, took one look at my bike and took about 15 seconds to diagnose the problem. Perhaps the fact that the bike wasnt a $3,000 machine and Dave didnt see a $500 repair job coming was why he made me wait 17 minutes. Interesting though, when I was quoted the price to fix the bike (which was reasonable) and I made the comment that maybe I was better off buying a new bike, Dave all of a sudden become my best friend, and had all the time in the world to show me his expensive mountain bikes. I asked him where a good trail might be for me to take my 7 year old (we are new in the area) and his only response was to show me a 7 dollar trail map. Felt like my money was far more important to him than my relationship. We went elsewhere. Oh, and I just damaged my ride (which is a $3,000 bike, and I wont be going to see Dave.
Finished service in timely and very professional manner. Knowledgeable staff.
My mother brought my sons bike in last Friday to get a tune up done for his birthday present in which she pre paid for it for $98. In which the bike wasnt even worth that much since I bought it from Walmart for $80. She was told that the bike would be ready for pick up on Saturday and or Monday. Come monday afternoon at 4 I make a phone call to Dave and ask if my sons bike was ready for pick up Dave stated that the bike was in line to be worked on. Now I myself work in the automotive business and I understand things dont run as smoothly. Dave said it would be ready to go on Tuesday. Tuesday afternoon at 5:30 I call dave again and ask if the bike was ready and he stated that it was but it needed a rear brake cable and that it would cost me an additional $9.99. I asked dave well on the tune up I assume you looked over the bike to know what needs to be fixed and that price my mom payed would fix it all. He stated that was correct but the rear cable was frayed and it would be an additional cost. I asked dave well since you have had it so long which I understand to a point can you take care of the cost for me in which he stated no. I stated okay Ill pay the $9.99 and I hope it will be ready for pick up on Wednesday in which he stated that it would be. I am now sitting here Wednesday night frustrated due to A. I still have NEVER received a call from the bike store not once since its been there. I need to call them? Which isnt professional at least in my line of work. B. I feel like my mother was taken advantage of do to cost which wouldnt have happened if I or my step dad was there. The bike isnt even worth as much as what they charged. C. My son has been asking day in and day out is his bike ready in which my son is only 8 and all his friends are riding there bikes why he watches. At this point I pray I get a call tomorrow to let me know that the bike is ready for pick up. I would NEVER recommend anyone to take there bike to this location let alone do any kind of business with them since there customer service is HORRIBLE. Unfortunately I had to at least put a star on here to voice my opinion but I wouldnt even give this place a star.
These guys are awesome! Just needed a new tube put in, so I went in and they put a new one in while I waited, and I was done in 5 minutes.
Great service, very knowledgeable and honest salesman.
Arrogant... no thanks
Dependable and fast.
