I bought my bike from Beat Cycles last summer and have had a great experience with Beat Cycles. The several minor problems Ive had were quickly taken care of by the guys there, often with no charge. This is a top notch place and Ill continue to send my friends there when theyre looking for a new bike.

Use my ebike daily as my transportation unfortunately get many flat tires these guys are great convenience being in lakewood but also great service and price, a lot of places wont take an ebike unless they sell it, they have helped me to get back on the road, and much appreciated

After searching everywhere for adaptable bikes used for physical therapy training, we had an amazing experience with this company. Where other shops said no, they said of course. They were able to custom fit training wheels on a 20 inch bike. Our son will now have the ability to be a kid this summer because of them. Highly recommend for families needing adaptable alterations. Always a good experience going here. Were blessed to have some good bike shops around, but I will always go here first. Every time I do, these guys take the time, drop what theyre doing and focus on my bike. I wouldnt even consider myself a hobbyist, I just have an old bike I like to ride and they dont make me feel dumb because Im not a gear head and they dont judge my bike, haha. Many times, its something they can just put on the rack and fix real quick and they do so without asking for anything. So Ill throw something in the tip jar or write a review like this.

Stopped in to get a quick repair done on my mountain bike. Service was excellent at this shop. Employees are extremely knowledgeable and will do whatever they can to get you out biking. As I looked around, their inventory was very impressive. Not only bikes but parts as well. I should have started coming to this shop long ago.

I have been shopping for a new bike for a few months and with the current surge in cycling it has been hard to find a shop that has a decent selection of bikes in stock. I was speaking to a buddy of mine and he highly recommended I check out Beat Cycles. You really cant go wrong with any of the bicycle shops in Lakewood, but Beat Cycles rises above the rest in their customer service.I purchased a bicycle here as a relative newcomer to cycling, and the team went above and beyond to answer my questions. After sharing my anticipated price range with them, they offered me three options at the low, middle, and high end of my budget. I never felt like they were trying to pressure me into a sale.But the real customer service her begins once you actually purchase your bicycle. Ive stopped in a few times since, and Ive had a wonderful experience every time. The team os always happy and willing to tune up my ride, offer suggestions, and even set aside a few minutes to chat and answer questions.Their overall stock may be a bit smaller than other local shops, but all of the gear and equipment they carry is high quality, and much of it comes with a lifetime guarantee.I cant recommend Beat Cycles enough, whether youre a seasoned vet or a total newcomer, and theyve definitely earned my lifelong support.

OK - full disclosure; Ryan is my nephew. So why should this 5-Star rating matter? Well I live in Chicago, 360 miles away from Lakewood, but choose to take all my cycling business to Beat Cycles. Whether its tune-ups, purchasing accessories and/or bikes, the service Ryan and his team provide is unparalleled! Trust me, it would be a lot more convenient to have everything done here instead of schlepping them in an 11-hour round trip.Anyway, Beat Cycles team is sensitive to your needs and will go out of their way to assure that the bike and accessories you need are appropriate and aligned with your cycling style and budgetary requirements. Phenomenal shop. On a ride around Lakewood I stopped in to see what Beat had and got to talking with Mike and Ryan. Id purchased a fully from another shop earlier this summer and they never took the time to set up the suspension. I told them the bike never felt quite right and they checked it over. Here, the pressure in my fork and rear shock was way over pressure. They took the time to set up my suspension and walk me through the adjustments I could make. It was an incredible experience. I felt cheated by the shop I purchased my bike from and left more frustrated that I didnt by from them. A few of the people I ride with told me to check out their shop first, I wish I wouldve listened. Ill never go anywhere else. Thank you Mike and Ryan.

Love this shop. Super friendly staff. As an avid cyclist, I have visited quite a few shops in the area and no one can compete with the friendly and helpful nature of their staff. I am super grateful they are so close by!

I cannot stress how grateful I am for beat cycles, have this very generic Ebike that nobody wanted to change a tire on (I called 10+ places) and finally beat cycles says yes they would do it for me... took only a single day and I brought the tire tube because it was special order.. charged me 10 bucks! I was like wowww, tipped Ryan, who is awesome by the way, just because I was so grateful. Great prices great people Ill definitely be back!!!

I went to Beat Cycle for 4 years ago, when I was interested in starting to commute to work by bike. They were incredibly helpful, and were honest with what I needed and didnt need. They never tried to upsell me on stuff I didnt need. They are always willing to answer questions, and spend time with you. I looked at a new bike and asked questions about it for about a year (mostly when getting my beater bike fixed by them). Over that year, they never pressured me to buy it, and were always helpful. When I finally ordered it, the service was great and it was exactly what I needed/wanted. I have been bike commuting to work for the last 4 years, which is in large part thanks to them, and my family has purchased three bikes from them since. I literally cannot say enough great things about them. If you are looking for a non-judgmental, fun, experienced and informed place to buy and service bikes, this is it.

My husband and I bought 2 bikes from the Beat Cycles a couple years ago and continue to love using our bikes. We also purchased a balance bike for our kids 4 years ago and they both learned to ride on two wheels at age 5 and have enjoyed biking around town so much, especially right now. Lakewood and Cleveland have a lot of great locally owned bike shops, but I always recommend Beat Cycles first. I look forward to many years of upgrades and new bikes.

I ordered a bike online last weekend before the store opened, once they opened I call and confirmed the order before driving to pick it up. Worked flawlessly. Once in the store they fitted me to the bike and hooked me up with all the right accessories I was in need of. Extremely knowledgable and willing to help. Very customer oriented. I am very happy with this purchase and service I received here, I live in Geauga so its a little bit of a hike for me but well worth it. Beat Cycles will be my only cycling store!!!

The staff at Beat Cycles is amazing. I enjoy riding a bike for exercise but I’m not a hard core cyclist. I love that the staff is clearly knowledgeable and able to help cycling athletes and yet they are still welcoming and informative for the amateur rider like myself. This review is over due, but necessary so please read it. As a foreword, I am probably the worst customer there is. I am the kind of person that takes a lot of time, attention, I ask a million questions, and go back and forth about how I might spend my money, and the guys at Beat cycles really went above and beyond to help me find a bike that, having ridden it a bit, has changed my love of riding bikes in the best way possible.I had been looking to buy myself a new mountain bike after taking a relative hiatus from the activity. The team at Beat listened to me, answered my questions, updated me on all the new information. And I asked them a lot of questions...and probably wasted way more time than anyone should. But they never wavered in their sincerity in helping me, and never made me feel they weren’t taking me serious about buying a bike or feel like i should already know everything about bikes. They were really laid back, not arrogant, and really went the extra mile to make sure I knew what I was looking for, and in the end of all of the saga, they helped me find a bike that was perfect for me and I haven’t had this much fun in a really long time.They had a lot of great products and brands to choose from and in the store there is a lot of great gear, accessories and local information to check out as I continued to lament on what bike to buy—the bike that ended up being perfect for what I wanted, actually cost me significantly less than the originally budget I told them I wanted to be within.They also knew a lot about mountain biking/general riding in the area, where to go to get comfortable on the trails, and have been super inviting to come ride with the guys that regular the store without making me feel bad for being “slow”..they know it’s all about riding your bike and having fun. What a great store and even better people. This place is a great example of why supporting small businesses is so much better in the long run for consumers. In the past month I have bought a new bike and they have had to repair all my other bikes because of an accident that ruined most of the wheels. They went so far out of their way to accommodate us I was flattered. I can’t say enough about the owner and the great staff that work there and all they do for the Lakewood community and its bikers. Favorite bike shop in Cleveland. These guys are the friendliest, most knowledgeable all around riders-bike shop guys around. Both commute to work each day and they don’t sell any products they don’t stand behind 100%. I’ve purchased 2 bikes, clothes, parts, accessories off of them and have never had problems with any of them. The workers there are very easy to talk to and explain things very well. Most likely you’ll make a purchase and get a few new friends out of the deal too. It seems to me they remember almost each and every customer and are excited to see them when they return. They’re involved in the community and the owner lives in Lakewood which is great in my book. The shop has a very cozy feel to it, and it’s easy to walk around and check out different things. The owner tore down and re did the whole place which is awesome and stands out from other bike shops. And we’re all excited to see their finished addition when it’s done! I’ve attended quite a few of their Sunday night Mtb rides where you’ll learn tons of new skills and meet new people in a no man left behind/not a race feel. It’s a very sociable shop and I feel like it’s Cleveland’s gem in the biking community. Stop by and I guarantee you won’t be disappointed.

Fantastic service and sales. Very personable people!I purchased a Quick 6 here a few months back. Today I visited to have my bike tuned up. They adjusted the brakes, pumped up the tires, adjusted the handle bars, and tuned the gears to help keep the chain from rubbing.I am a new rider (havent had a bike since I was in my teens). These guys are more than capable of assisting all levels, though.My fiance has had her bike tuned up and purchased a bike lock from them. I like it much better than the one I purchased elsewhere.I will absolutely be back for some accessories!

Really just a great experience. The store just opened semi-recently from what I know but the staff is extremely knowledgable and friendly. Everyone seemed to be avid riders themselves which is always a comforting feeling when looking for a bike/accessories and wondering where their opinion is coming from. Perfect experience both times Ive come in. First time had a flat while biking and luckily was within an eighth mile, walked in 20 minutes prior to closing and they fixed me up allowing me to continue my ride with only a hiccup.

They sell bikes and bike accessories that cannot be found at other shops in the area, at competitive prices, in a really cool environment. Most importantly is how approachable the staff is there. A lot of bike shops can get snobby or dont provide the best service and for Beat Cycles that is not the case what so ever. They have taken incredible care of my bike and have shown patience answering every single question and concern I had during my buying process. After buying my bike, anytime I had a concern, they have been reachable, informative and extremely helpful. I will continue to drive out of my way to support Beat Cycles and suggest that anyone looking for a mountain or commuter bike (or service, accessories etc) look no further.

Great place. I bought a Specialized bike a couple months ago and had some issues with the derailleur. I came in a little frustrated and it showed. Ryan was patient, took care of the situation, and made sure to give a follow-up call later that day. I would definitely recommend this company for current and future riders.

Stopped in because my girlfriend and I needed derailleur adjustments and she needed her rear wheal trued. My favorite bike shop in the area. I had a troublesome repair that I had to bother them with multiple times. They only charged me the first time, and stuck with it, and even machined a part especially for me. Turned out one of my parts was defective, but they made it work. (I know jack about bikes, can you tell?)Ive been riding that bike ever since, and I will continue to return to that shop for my needs. Props, guys.
