I visited Green Mountain Sports for the first time this week Jeff took the time to assess my mountain bike maintenance needs and did some preliminary tests on the spot. We came up with a plan and they provided one day turnaround. I’m very pleased.

I was given the earliest possible date for a tune up amidst a huge back up! I just got back into cycling and this staff ( a gentleman whose name I cannot recall ) helped me get my bike into gear after installing pedals on 2 of my bikes. At 48 years old, I thought it would not only be physically tough to get back into this, but surely it would also be monetarily and educationally tough as well right? Wrong. I have been a patron of Green Mountain Sports for almost 20 yrs. Corky and his crew are some of the most stand up people in the business. I have purchased bikes, and been through more than my fair share of repairs with these guys, and they always do the right thing. Jeff has always been available to answer questions, update gear, and get my toys fixed up in a very timely manner. This is a shop you can feel good supporting.

On more than one occasion, they have helped with a quick repair (most recently a broken rear hub) so that I have been able to finish my ride.They have also done great work on my skis and snowboard.I wont take my bikes anywhere else.

I have been here twice. The first time I was wanting my snowboard to get a tune up. After waiting in line while one of the enployess talked to a customer about his bad knee for 5 minutes I was finally helped. I was told it would be $55 for a complete tune. Which is pricey but I was down for until they told me itd be almost 2 weeks until I got it back. After that they informed me if I gave them additional $$ they could make it express or whatever they called it. And have it back to me in less than a week. Wow. Thats shady. I went in my second time for a broken snowboard binding. Dealt with similar customer service. They told me they didnt know if they could fix it for sure as they have a large box of old binding parts. I said okay. When can you do it? They told me I had to check it in for service. I asked how long. They said almost 2 weeks again. So 2 weeks just to find out they (possibly) couldnt fix it? I opted out and decided to fix it myself with a screw. Took me about 10 minutes. If you want decent service or prices just go across the street to Play It Again Sports!

Great shop. They did a 24 turn-around my road bike repair while Im training for an event. While Ive never bought new bike from GMS theyve done lots fo great work for me: ground-up rebuild on my wifes Santa Cruz Juliana with new wheels, brakes, dropper post, new custom-built Spank Spoon wheels for my Yeti, etc. Knowledgeable folks and great service right in the neighborhood. Highly recommended.

The folks at Green Mountain Sports are total pros regarding all things cycling and skiing. They take time to listen to who you are and what you want and then talk about options. I am fairly knowledgable but these guys know so much more about whats out there, what is available, what makes sense and what doesnt. They have supplied me with several bikes and skis over the last few years and you know what? The selections and setup have worked out perfectly. There is a huge difference between almost right and totally dialed in and GMS has done that for me on everything from high end road bikes to kids bikes to skis. And their service capabilities are top notch- great ski tunes and bike mechanics.

I called on a Monday night to ask about a ski tune up and they told me they were busy but to bring the skis and theyd check them out. They were honest with what I needed and promised me a four day turn-around but they got it done in less time. The check in and check out was quick and easy, they were practicing all of the correct social distancing and Covid measures. I probably couldve done this tune up myself but Im happy to be able to support some local businesses!

Jeff was great! Explained some things about my bike that I should have known, and he did it without making me feel like a simpleton, which we know in the world of bike shops is huge. Also, knowing I had just been to Moab he gave my bike a once over and saw it was due for new brake pads. He/they were able to fit my bike into the schedule and had it ready overnight. Appreciated the great service and warm welcome by Jeff and Sam.

Warning! Warning! Do not take your bike to this shop! Not all bike shops are created equally! They do not know how to work on high end bikes. Ive lived in Lakewood my entire life and have relied on Wheat Ridge Cyclery/Pedal Pushers for all my bike(s) service/maintenance. This year I decided to give Green Mountain Sports a try with my Carbon Yeti ASR 29er for a full tune up The Full Monty. When I picked up my bike from the shop they informed me that they could not get the fork to rebound and I would have to take it to another shop to fix it. After $350, are you kidding me! I ended up taking it to Pedal Pushers and they easily fixed it right away.About a month later one of my spokes broke on my rear wheel so I took it back to GMS for a spoke install and true. After the repair, I picked the bike and only tested the bike in the parking lot. The next day I drove all the way to the Monarch Crest Trail and set off for a 35 mile ride with my buddies. 3.5 miles into the ride my rear rim had 2 spokes break through the rim. I had to hike 3.5 miles back to the trail head and drive all the way back to Lakewood. Bummer! I contacted the manufacturer Industrynine as I thought this was a faulty rim that was covered by warranty. Here is the response from industrynine after they reviewed the pics:We can definitely repair the wheel, however this doesnt look like the type of damage we typically cover under warranty. Do you know what tension the shop that worked on the wheel previously set the spokes to? Ive never seen a spoke pull through the rim like that without a serious strike to the spoke or from being over tensioned.I contacted Jeff the manager at GMS and he said he would get back to me after he spoke to Nick about my repair. Jeff/GMS did not even have the consideration to contact me. What a joke of a bike shop!! BEWARE! BEWARE!

Green Mountain Sports takes care of their customers! They are friendly, fast, and competent! My son is on the GM mountain bike team and he crashed his bike during a race on Saturday. We brought the bike in after the race and they worked on it so it would be ready for practice on Monday. Thank you so much! They also take care of our snowboard tune ups in the winter and they have an excellent inventory of bike parts and accessories, snowboard waxing gear, and nutrition! I love our neighborhood sports store!

Had previously left a good review but consider the poor customer service I received my last visit I resend that review. Have had to return 3 times over a brake issue which I was willing to overlook until they told me they needed to keep it for 2 weeks, which if they had fixed correctly the first or second time it wouldn’t have needed to come back.

Green Mountain Sports is where I go for all my cycling and skiing support.. Plan on spending some time with Cork and the staff to get caught up on the latest product and trends, hot spots and fishing holes. I have been coming here for over a year now. Every single time I come in I am blown away by how good the customer service is and how knowledgeable everyone who works there is. The owner is such a nice guy. He spent an hour and a half fitting my bike to me today. No detail was too small. This is the only bike shop I will be going to from now on.

I heard about Green Mountain Sports from a friend when I expressed my dismay for how long wait times are here in Denver for bike repair. I live in Wash Park but called the first time I needed service (nail in the tire) and they were able to get me in that day and swap my tire and tube out for a new one. Second service visit was for new shifting cables -- mine were worn out. They were really kind and accommodating and were able to fix my bike in 3 days. I know its crazy busy bike season, so those results are probably not guaranteed, but they seem to have a smooth operation going over there.As an enthusiast of any sport/activity, we always want those who are helping us to share said enthusiasm because that translates to urgency, which translate to us getting back outside faster. They really understand that here, I didnt even have to express how bummed I was Id be without my bike for a few days for them to know and to put importance on getting it fixed. I think that is my favorite part about this shop.Even though its a bit of a drive for me, this will be my bike shop from now on. Highly recommended.

Will always look for a way of getting you back on your ride as quickly as possible without the drama & attitude of other shops on the west side of town. These guys know their way around newer technology and more importantly the old stuff where parts are hard to come by. AND, they are a ski shop as well, so get your boards in there and get the edges and bases done before the snow starts sticking. They have great line of Black Crowes and AT equipment if you are looking at getting into the backcountry this season.

He was very helpful and answered all of my questions.Trying to buy a bike in the middle of a pandemic has been really difficult since everything is over the phone but Eric made the decision process easier. Very low inventory for MTB tires. I was told for my normal 29er (non plus size) that I only had to choose between a cheap wire bead tire and a Vittoria super premium tire that would be close to $70 per tire after tax. I guess i don’t make enough money to afford their normal products that everyone else buys.

Firefighter/EMT in Paramedic School, don’t have a lot of money, don’t have a lot of know how when it comes to mountain bikes. But, these guys gave me grade “A” service, on what the previous shop I went to referred to as a “Walmart Bike.”Green Mountain did an amazing amount of work for an incredibly reasonable price for this broke student. I’m in shock with the service I received and when I’m ready to upgrade my bike, these are the guys I’m going to come see.Thanks again guys and gals at Green Mountain, I really can’t praise you enough.

Super-chill shop. Brought a flat tire in from my sons bike and the helpful staff knocked it out right then and there. They even waived the service fee because it was easy. Ill definitely be back. Oh, and the vintage gear on the walls and ceiling were a fun trip down memory lane.

This place is awesome. I came in there earlier today cause the chain on my bike busted clear off. The two dogs that was in there was very friendly with my service dog. The older man who i think is the owner was very kind and polite and the guy who took care of me was pretty awesome too. They worked with me on the price. Gave me a military discount and had my bike fixed in no time. I will be coming back for all my bike and ski needs and wants. Wish there was more cool shops like this one. They really made me feel like i belonged there.

Stopped by the store at one time to ask about brake bleeding and they were more than helpful. So when I purchase a used Fat tire I took it in and they checked it all out. Reset all shifting components because they were out of alignment. Flat Fee charge. No push to up-sell components or things I did not need. Just great quality service. I highly recommend you go to them as a bike shop.

I took in my new bindings to get mounted, and while waiting (a whole 15 minutes) I asked what it would cost to heat up my boot liners/mold them to my feet. They just did it for me at no cost! Not only is this place the most affordable for such services, the customer service is superb. The staff is laid back, friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable. Highly recommend!!

This is a great store, I have been going for close to 2 months now and I have had very good costumer service! I will be buying a bike in 3 months or less and the workers have really helped me, they’ve answered all of my questions and even gave me some good tips on how to save. Most of the time before I moved into the neighborhood I just shopped online for bikes but now it’s much easier and more efficient thanks to green mountain sports!

You were able to take a bike left outside in the elements for over 4 years and give me new tread along with repairing her for less than $200. Im so very grateful for your expertise and patience.

Awesome local ski shop! Had a broken strap on my snowboard binding, called to check on replacement parts and employee told me they didnt stock specific brands, but would usually be able to make something work. I brought board in and he installed new ladder strap in less than 10 minutes, charged me $5, what a deal! Super easy, quick fix! Definitely check them out for ski and bike needs!

I dropped my bike off to have the brakes looked at and a safety check, but was told that I wouldnt get it back until the 25th of May and I wanted to use it that weekend so i went in to pick it up and do the work myself. The guys in there were very gracious and helped me find the stuff I needed to replace the brake cable, even giving me two ferrules. Ill bring my bike back to them in the future!

Ive been using Green Mountain Sports for my bicycle service for over five years now. After having some issues with another local shop I use them exclusively and cannot say enough great things about them. I do a lot of work on my bikes, but when I get stumped or dont have the tools/knowledge to do things right, they are always there to help. They are friendly, fast, and most importantly: available. They often do same day service for simple things to get me back on the trail asap; other shops have asked me to come back in two weeks. Corky is a super laid back owner and Jeff is an approachable manager: it feels great to support a local small business that doesnt seem driven by margins or the bottom line. They also do not have the amount of staff turnover that some of the other shops have, which not only says a lot about the way they treat their employees, but they recognize you as a return customer. I enjoy patronizing a shop like that. These guys are straightforward and honest, and they will keep wrenching on your rig until they get it right without making excuses, which I deeply appreciate. All the guys there are really helpful and really nice. I dont live particularly close to GM sports but the trip is always worth the service. Their prices are always fair and the work is always great. GM Sports is a great place to go to no matter what the season is.

My son and I brought in his Walmart bike on a Sunday afternoon. Not only were we immediately served, but the gentleman who assisted us carefully explained every needed adjustment and oil type as he went, so my son is no longer clueless how to maintain it himself as he heads off to college.
