Great Place & Experience. Change my oil and check EVERYTHING under the hood & then some. Recommended a few fluid changes due to mileage. Adv getting Shocks done soon. Adv best way do shocks, spring and mount -out of budget right now but adv.will set up when can do fluid changes. So went to two different pep boys today broadway was the other store in both cases never been treated so unprofessionally the attitude like they dont care about anything the customer needs arrogant attitudes by both who were supposed managers. This will discourage me from ever going to pep boys for anything!!!Both stores need a higher manager to reprimand bother of these guys and send them back for some customer service training they need to be reminded of who makes their paycheck for them and treat people with respect and not arrogant attitudes!!!!!

Brought my car in this morning for a tire repair. The tire had been repaired once before and was still leaking, so I wasnt sure what could be done for it. They fixed the tire within 30 minutes and didnt even charge me. I will certainly be back to this location the next time I need tire service. Thanks, guys.
Justin and Shea were incredibly helpful. They went above and beyond to help me with the brakes on an old pickup. Found and fixed a couple other problems along the way with no extra charge and even showed me what I had been doing wrong without making me feel like an amature (even though I am) plus Ive never seen the place so clean and I have seen this place go through a half dozen owners. You guys are great., youve definitely got a customer for life.
We took our vehicle to pep boys to get it serviced, the car began to idle really rough afterwards which was not an issue before taking the car in. Come to find out that the person who serviced the vehicle broke the ignition coil rail and installed it without notifying us. We tried to go back and speak with the manager but the employees keep telling us he is unavailable.
These people were super helpful! I brought my car in to get my brakes done. I couldnt afford what needed to be done but they gave me a few options and prioritized things that needed to be done to help work with my budget. Nicholas was very friendly and knowledgeable!
This past Saturday my car would not start. It has been a recurring issue and is very likely due to a bad starter. I called the shop at 9301 W Colfax Ave and explained the situation including vehicle details. I also let the service manager I was going to have it towed but would not be accompanying the vehicle as I had other obligations and asked for a phone call to confirm they received the vehicle.2 days later on Monday afternoon I still had not received a phone call so I called and spoke with the service manager again. He informed me they had been able to start the vehicle and had not performed any work. I explained again that I have had recurring issues and would like to have the starter replaced regardless. It was then he finally informed me they do not have anyone capable of performing this work as it requires a master mechanic.I paid $150 for a tow truck, wasted 3 days with my car sitting and nothing being done. Why would the service manager be so quick to tell me to have my vehicle towed there at my expense when theyre not even capable of doing the work. I know shops have the capability of quickly looking up vehicle information and seeing the amount of work and the difficulty of any repairs. Why this service manager did not do this is beyond me. When I spoke to him about this he had no concern whatsoever.I have been a loyal Pep Boys customer for years and generally have never had any issues. This was my first visit to this location but I will not likely be using PB again in the future, regardless of location.

I brought my car in to replace a flat tire and they did not put the cap back on properly. I noticed it the next day as I was leaving to drive out of town that the cap was barely hanging on, it was bent, and only 1of the 3 screws was still attached, while the other 2 were bent and broken. I should have taken a picture before leaving for my trip, but I just assumed Pep Boys would take care of it and there would be no issues with it when I got back. It fell off while driving so it is lost and when I returned from my trip i told them what happened. They said they put it back on and it must have broken off during my drive home from the store. That is absurd to think that the cap on the tire they just took off and worked on, broke off for no reason during a 10 minute drive home, when I did not hit anything, and after having zero issues with this in the past. They refuse to be accountable for something they did and I will not be coming back. I was told to just buy a replacement online out of pocket. I only give them 2 stars because I asked them to break a lock off my spare tire for no charge in addition to changing my tire.
Always helpful. They try and do the best they can and if they cant they tell you where to go and who to see.
These guys are great; no questions about it. I was headed out of town on a road trip, when I noticed damage to my truck tire. I just stopped in to see if there was any chance to get it fixed (knowing my tire size is rare). Nick said that it couldn’t be fixed and that they didn’t have one in stock. So, Nick then got on the phone to get me the tire as soon as he could (which was less than an hour!!!). The guy Shae got the new replacement on no problem, covered it under the warranty and sent me on my way! I could not have imagined this going any better. These guys will have my future business 100%!Thank you guys so much!

I went in for an oil change around 5:00 when they close at 6:00 p.m. For some reason, the mgr. told me my battery was very very bad and I should return it back to Costco, where I first purchase it. I was very confused given that I had just bought a new one from Costco less than 3 months ago. I didnt really believe him, so I went to 2 different auto shops and they both confirmed my battery was excellent. I have no idea why they would lie to me and just upset me.

I called yesterday and made an appointment for an oil change. When I showed up today the guy at the front desk didnt even greet me but whatever. I told him about me just wanting the oil change he said sure I need they keys, I handed him my keys but then proceed to tell him what I wanted and nothing more because last time they did an inspection they returned my truck back with the check engine light on. He said it was stores policy to do an inspection and I said I didnt want it. He threw my keys back to me and said well go somewhere else.No problem I went to Big O tires and they did exactly what I wanted, no appointment needed and they even gaved me a $10 coupon off from their website.
Brought in a rim and tire from 2006 jeep. They refused to work on it saying the tire was 15 years old so they wouldnt touch it. Went down the road three blocks for the remount. For way less too.
Had been frequenting this location for months to get oil changes and rotations, etc. Usually would drop the car off and pick it up at end of day. Usually always dealt with dirty bald guy with a dark beard and eyeglasses. Tried coming in yesterday and some lady helped me. Was going to drop it off after having to call fleet account to make sure theyd cover it. Gave me go ahead and handed keys over. Thats when dude walks in and doesnt even acknowledge me as a customer but chastises Paula about how he wouldnt take me and Id have to come back tomorrow. Then started yelling over Paula and I to another customer so much so that we couldnt hear each other. Peeved, I agreed to come in today at 10a (next day). Paula later called me to confirm the appointment. Showing up this morning, the lot was empty with one red older model car in front of the garage near the office. Meet dude and say good morning and let him know I have an appointment. He smirked and then suggested that I was dropping it off to pick up later. I explained that I tried that yesterday but he forced me to make this appointment. He started getting short saying he had another car taking three hours. I called him out and said his lot was empty, dont understand why he keeps pushing me back. Wouldnt budge and Ill admit I cursed, asking if hed f***ing even give me a call cause they never call to let me know when its finished even when promised. That when he got smug and whined about my language. By this time I couldnt believe the gall of this guy. He walked out and started to get info from the car and I continued to comment how I thought it was inconvenient and bad service. He threw my key onto my wipers and told me to go elsewhere. I said gladly and Ill let pep boys know how well you treat your customers too. Every single time Ive ever interacted with this guy, its like pulling teeth to get anything done. Paula and one other huskier guy were decent to me, but the guy with the beard has a total chip on his shoulder and has never seemed to ever want to help me. Ill take my business elsewhere.

Went in to have an ignition coil changed, so that we can keep driving for Lyft and making enough to pay our rent... after their diagnosis and shopping price (on our part) we decided to go forward with this establishment due to the ease and that they were able to get the work done the same day. VERY pleasantly surprised at how quick it was and! the discount they gave us. THANK YOU NICK! This is a good place to go and well be back when we need someone!!

I took my Toyota Tacoma in today for an oil change, Paula was nice and informative. Paula then told me the mechanics suggested a transmission fluid flush as this is usually required every 90k miles. She said she would need to call to see how much the Toyota specific transmission fluid would cost, after speaking to part store she said it would cost $350, I declined due to not having that money right now. As I am paying for the oil change I ask how long I can drive like this, she said get it done as soon as possible to make it to 300k like Toyotas do, then the bearded bald mechanic comes in tells me a transmission fluid flush is due after 90k and Im so over (at 160K) they wouldnt even do it and I would now need to take it to an AMCO a transmission specialist.A quick google search at home revealed a transmission fluid flush on a Toyota Tacoma costs between $118-139 Labor costs are estimated between $76 and $97 while parts are priced at $42. Estimate does not include taxes and fees. Thats puts the price somewhere around $250 not $350. Funny how 5 mins prior they wanted $350 to do it then I tell them I dont have the money and now they couldnt even do it lol. I kept my bill from Sept 2019 the last time I took it to the same location for an oil change and it says nothing about transmission fluid flush that makes no sense if it is due after 90k - why didnt they suggest this the first time I took it in?I also found out through the web and a transmission specialist at AMCO that transmission fluid flushes are bad for vehicles over 100k as they cause gaskets to blow or loosen and you wind up with leaks.Under normal driving conditions, a flush is NOT necessary at 46K miles. The shops make money on flushes, thats why they recommend them. Most transmissions are good for 100,000 miles before requiring maintenance. ... Maintenance is debated between a flush and a fluid drain and fill. Flushes are also bad for your gaskets and you should drain and fill. Sounds like Pep Boys was trying to scam me out of an extra 100 bucks only to possibly ruin my transmission with a flush, then scare me into believing my transmission was shot. Dont go here - mechanic was a crook, no fault to Paula either. Paula had great customer service skills and a great attitude. They didnt even suggest this a year ago when I had my oil changed and it was technically over 100k. I am very disturbed by this whole series of interactions, and will never take my vehicles back to another Pep Boys.
I have gone in here a few times now and every time I go in and come back something ends up going wrong with my vehicle, the first time wasn’t on them all thought it was very very suspicious that it went wrong on the tire they worked on, they said sorry for it looking like it was on them and gave me a free oil change, I get it done a few days ago and now my vehicle has a huge puddle of oil under it because they couldn’t put the oil filter on right, if I hadn’t caught this when I did I could have run out of oil and blown a motor, I will never be returning to this location for any work to be done on my vehicle again!
I took my Mazda in this summer, June 2017 - to have my rear breaks replaced. They were fast and very friendly. Unfortunately, I had to return this past week. My breaks started squealing and didnt feel right.They were able to check them out for me quickly and found the pads were not good. Nick, honored the work, and fixed them without a charge. Crooks. I took a tire in for a simple flat repair. I had a small puncture in the middle of the tire, nowhere near the side walls. They told me they couldnt fix it and that the tire needed to be replaced. Then they told me the couldnt sell me just one that I had to buy all 4. They had no problem lying to my face. I took it up to Firestone about a mile west on Colfax and they fixed the flat with no problem and didnt try and sell me on anything. Kudos firestone. Shame pep boys. Haha.

He helped me find the perfect tires for my truck, his customer service skills are phenomenal, his knowledge and will to help are way above anything I’ve experienced before! 100 gold stars for Nick! I am now a lifetime pep boys customer and will most certainly be sending my friends and family here from now on!
We found a nail in our tire on a Sunday. Not many other Tire Service locations were open, but we contacted this store and spoke with Nick, the service manager. He was friendly and said he could get us in for the repair. We went right away and the tire was fixed within a half hour. The staff were friendly and helpful. We would definitely recommend this store.
The manager of the shop is great. His staff however is not the person who did my last oil change didnt put the filter back on correctly and almost blew my engine. I will not be taking my car back.

Ive been to this location once to get an oil change and had a fine experience. The guy at the front was informative and helpful. They did leave what seemed to be a grease stain inside my Jeep that I was able to get rid of with a detail, which was annoying but hey, it happens.I needed another oil change and wanted to come back here to do it. I called earlier this afternoon and spoke with someone (dont remember his name) and got the price and info. I told him I wanted to come by after work later this afternoon to do it and asked if I could make an appointment. He said no, I should just come in. No appointment. I figured maybe they just went by a first come first serve basis or something, and agreed to come by.So I get off work and arrive at Pep Boys probably at 5:15ish and waited 5-10 minutes just for someone to come to the front and greet me. Finally a man came and I asked him how long the wait would be for an oil change. He looked at me somewhat sarcastically and said he wouldnt even be able to pull my car in until 7.I told him about the phone call I had made earlier this morning, which apparently was answered by him, and how I was told to just come in without an appointment. He responded by saying that he said that because of how things looked then, when I called.How does that make sense? I told him I wanted to come in LATER after work, not NOW.He them proceeded to ask me if I wanted to schedule an appointment for tomorrow. Thats what I wanted to do TODAY!!I went out of my way to come here and he completely wasted my time, was unprofessional and illogical.I will never be coming back to this location again if these are the people you hire to run your shop. Highly disappointing.
With a very bad experience, I finally understood what their ethic was and how they did their budinrss:If a sensor in an assembly part of the engine failed, they didnt do any inspection. They just asked you to replace the entire assembly. Careless and only care about how to pull more money from your pocket. Never come back again.
Came in with a flat tire that just happened driving on the interstate. Knowing they were closing soon, I thought they would turn me away. Justin and the guys did a great job fixing the tire and getting me out in 30 minutes. Turned my day around. Appreciate the guys taking care of me!

I went to the dealership nearby for my Volkswagen initially upon moving to Lakewood and I found the service there discourteous and they did not complete everything that I asked. I switched to this Pep Boys location and the team here has solved my car issues quickly and with effective service. I have gotten headlights and an oil change done with minimal wait time and no hassle. I will continue to come here for my car maintenance needs.
I shopped online for tires I found what I thought was a good deal when I called the store on 44th and Wadsworth I was told they didn’t have the tires I was looking at I was told they could get them in two hours I was okay with that the problem was the tires I was looking at online where 679.80 installed on sale buy 3 get the 4th one free online when on the phone I was told pep boys don’t honor online prices that the tires I was looking at where going to be 1300.00 . I won’t be doing business here anytime in the future.
My brake line broke unexpectedly in an unfamiliar part of town and I had no idea what to do or what was even wrong! I was freaking out! But Nick at Pep Boys helped me out more than I can say! Worst communication ever by car technicians.Waited till my appointment just to be told after I brought my car in that they cant work on it instead of calling me on the phone. That would have saved me time and could have went out and bought the part my dang self.I will never recommend anyone to this shop very unprofessional with communication.Customer service was awful told me to take it to a pontiac specialist instead of calling me ahead of time to discuss then issue Im just still.in disbelief as I am a veteran and also in the business of customer satisfaction and this was not kwt in any way.

I brought my Lincon in to check the breaks because It was shaking badly. When my car was finished they called and said I needed brakes, rotors, and a tire rod, they said it was all completely shot. Quoted me 2800.00 to get it fixed.I took it to just brakes on colfax the very next day for a second opinion and Just brakes said I only needed brakes!! Their quote was for 327.00!!! Thats a huge difference!! I asked them to double check because of the previous inspection from pep boys. They went back and checked and said all the things pep boys said I needed was wrong! I was so stressed out trying to figure out how I was going to get my car fixed as a single mother, I need my car. Very disappointed that these men would take advantage of me and over quote me so they can pocket the extra!!! I will never ever come back to ANY pep boys and I suggest you dont either!!!!!

I was in for oil change which included a comprehensive inspection. I will NOT be going back.First, they charged substantially more than the oil change price advertised on their web site.But the 2nd bigger problem was that their inspection revealed need for many services, including brake pads, brake rotors, transmission fluid change, differential fluid change, etc. ALL OF THE recommended services were for things either replaced or serviced within the past year--or past few thousand miles--at a highly reliable, privately owned, neighborhood auto shop (i.e, a shop rated 4.8 stars on Google Maps).1 star for PEPBOYS is 1 too many.
These guys were great. Got a flat and discovered that we needed to replace all 4 tires. And it was close to closing time these guys had us in and out in under a half hour.
We drive for Lyft/ Uber. Best prices on full synthetic oil changes ever, which includes tire rotation and inspection so we always have a heads up if somethings getting close to needing repair. Honest, and have great customer service.

Which obviously was a total lie they could have done my 20 minute oil change. I have never gone to Pep Boys and this is why. They are very lazy ridiculous and rude at this location
