Did an decent job. But they are outrageous on their prices! It was $1300 for a brake job and I bought the brakes and rotors prior to taking it to them. My truck will burn to the ground before I take it back to them. They put a bunch of fancy wording on the ticket to make it sound like I just left the jaguar dealership. They charged me $71 just to clean off the mud from work area.

Took my camper van in for what I thought was a bad wheel bearing, and they allowed me to bring in my own parts since I had them (they found time for me the same day I called). After a quick test drive, they thought the sound wasnt a wheel bearing, and proceeded to give me a rental car, call in their senior mechanic, and spend 3 hours diagnosing it. Turns out the sound was air whistling on a light bar I had just installed, and after a good laugh, they didnt charge me a dime for all their detective work. Dumbfounded by their kindness and honesty, while I dont look forward to my van needing repairs, I do look forward to having such a great spot to take it.

Nice people, but my car is never quite fixed all the way and I end up having to go back with the same problems. Time for a second opinion

Great place! We took our car here for a used car inspection and they were affordable, trustworthy and gave us plenty of time. They answered all our questions and explained things thoroughly!

Truly is a five star shop and one of the few honest auto shops out there. I was told by Mercedes that I needed a $1800 brake and rotor change immediately and that the car was at risk. I brought it in to main Street auto for a second opinion under the impression that they were going to change the brakes and rotors for much less. I received a call from the shop 2 hours later informing me that I still have a lot of life on the pads and rotors and that he couldnt replace them in good conscience. When I got there he even took me out to my car to show me how to check brake life and what good and bad looks like. All I had to pay for was a cheap brake inspection and now I have my local auto shop of choice. Honest auto places are hard to come but this place is great!

When I first started taking my car the for the first time to Main Street Automotive I was 100% happy with the service And I was 100% satisfied with workmanship that was done to my car and after 11 months I found out the hard way on the car I was driving for the past two years and how it’s took so much money/ time and efforts on the repairs to my car I realize that the mechanic/owner to make me see all the money I put into my car and that’s to Main Street Automotive they are the only ones I can trust working on my car. They have bent over backwards anyway they could to keep me as a 1# satisfied customer and I’m very thankful/blessed to have them to do all my car care needs and I never gave them a chance and when I wrote the review on them it was uncalled for 100% and they should’ve never had to read a review like I wrote and gave them on my experience with their shop. I should’ve done my research on the car I previously owned and no longer have. I’m truly sorry on the comments I made about your Business/shop. Best place Ive ever seen. Good, honest, auto work. Never makes you buy more than you need or want. Uses quality parts, not cheap parts, and explains why its worth quality over price. Helpful even on the phone for owner troubleshooting. They really have a customer centric ethic! They had my trust with the first visit.

This is an excellent shop! I am so glad I was told to go here by a friend. My entire experience with Tony was great. Him and his staff are nice people who are very helpful. I had a clutch replaced and a timing belt/water pump job done at this shop. The work that was done on my car was a good value and they did a great job. Update: had my power steering hose replaced here last March (2017.) Was very happy with the service and price. Last month the power steering was leaking suddenly and went out completely. Brought it in and they replaced a clamp that was either loose or had fallen off - guy told me since they had worked on the power steering he couldnt say if it was their error or not so he wasnt going to charge me. I was SHOCKED!! He could have charged anything, I would t have known the difference. I was happy before but this sealed the deal I will always come here for future repairs. Cant put a price on honest service!

Exceeded all expectations! A must stop for automotive service in Lakeville! John and Tony were top notch and wasted no time helping us. I was driving down I-35 from Minneapolis to Des Moines and my check tire indicator came on around Lakeville. I went to fill the tire up and heard that it was leaking. We decided to try to find a service shop to assist me. I found Mainstreet Automotive about 2.5 miles East of the interstate. John was quick to help and stopped what he was doing to assist. He got the car up on the lift and Tony found the problem. A 3 inch nail in my rear passenger tire. We were in an out on 15 minutes and they were happy to help. They broke part of my tire when replacing it. They had to order a part but never call be back. So gave me new tire that was not properly installed.
