Most of the staff were very helpful and friendly. Kris in particular was extremely helpful and provided very detailed explanation for everything. He was super patient when I asked about the final invoice. He helped me understand all of the charges and explained all of the options. I felt very comfortable and actually enjoyed the experience. Overall I was very pleased with the customer service from most staff. Only four stars because there was one incident at the reception desk but it did not overshadow the rest of the visit so we will chalk it up to different personalities.

This is the best eye place in Lakeland! I came in recently to help my sister choose new glasses and the staff were so helpful. They even fixed my glasses free of charge!Samantha is such a sweetheart and you can tell she works hard to give each patient a pleasant experience. The exam was efficient and the eye doctor was pleasant. Every one working was polite and very helpful, they were a bit busy so there was a bit of running around while I decided on my frames. After coming to my decision and placing the order my glasses came in quickly and they look great! I have received many compliments already. I recently got robbed and assaulted, landing in the hospital. I had cracked ribs and stitches in my face. My glasses were destroyed; a missing lens and one arm of the frame completely broken and the other held together with tape. I called the local store and explained my situation. I asked for help as I am struggling financially as well, and they said they would see what they could do. By the time I made it to the store, I was greeted with a smile and told they had decided that instead of trying to fix my frames or replace my frames they were going to give me an entire new pair of glasses. I explained to them I could not do this because I cannot afford it at all. They said oh my, you misunderstood us. We want to give you a brand new free pair of glasses because we feel that you need a break and could use some help. I was blown away. The staff took the time to help me pick out the best pair of frames and they remade my lenses and I pick them up the same day. I will never ever shop anywhere else for my glasses. Lyn wrapped up my order but when she found out I was paying the bare minimum and not getting any add ons (something I HAVE to do), she started becoming more flippant and short with me. I dont like having to purchase budget glasses already so it was embarrassing and distressing. Yes, I do need my prescription to purchase even cheaper glasses in the future because I have a kid who breaks my glasses constantly. No, I cant afford all the things I wish I could. Its already embarrassing that I have to get plastic lenses, no matter how many times you roll your eyes, cluck your tongue, and sigh at me, I still can not afford more than that.I cant even purchase glasses from Eyeglass Worlds own website if I wanted to without my PD which she kept mocking me for asking for, saying oh it would be useless to you because nobody does it our way! How can I purchase glasses from YOUR WEBSITE without the PD done your way?Everybody else involved with the entire process was beyond kind, despite being completely swamped with customers. I could talk to the optometrist himself all day.I almost feel like I should have waited the extra month to go to Americas Best.The most basic eye exam at Eyeglass World was $69 and the glasses were $78 for two exactly. But Americas Bests eye exam is included with the two glasses for even less. I was basically paying $69 to see a doctor sooner because my glasses were falling apart. But I was also paying an extra $69 to be embarrassed so.

Our salesman Kris was amazing. He is hilarious and made the whole experience of getting new frames/lenses amazing. Explained all the lenses you can get perfectly and helped us understand what was best for me. Highly recommend the place.

Extremely disappointed in my consumer experience at the Lakeland location.Not only did I encounter a lack of professionalism while in-store, but also experienced extremely poor customer service from the General Manager, Tonya, who happened to answer when I called to inquire about the order status.My contacts were returned to sender for an unknown reason (was verified not to be related to incorrect shipping information provided) and was told that I would have to wait another week and a half to receive my contact order with no option to expedite or any other solution.I am now left without contacts and even more frustrated with the lack of regard for the customer experience from store management. Will not be returning.

It was such a pleasure doing business at eyeglass world. Their safety protocols and sanitation policies were very thorough. They took the time to make sure that nothing was handled by multiple people without things being cleaned properly. This is a ton of extra work and I so appreciate the effort that the staff has gone to to ensure the safety of its customers.

This is my first time going to EyeGlass World and I was completely satisfied with everything. First, I was impressed with their safety protocols. They manage efficiently the amount of people going in to keep the recommended distance. Besides that, they guide you in keeping the frames you try on separate to sanitize them before another customer touches them. And then the service is great. From the person who receives you at the door and explains everything, to the eye exam staff, and then, Tamara and Kriss who helped me on 2 different occasions. WE FOUND OUR PLACE!!!! Been in FL for a year. Tried a few of the Big names in the area. They were all OK, but not great. Tried Eyeglass world this time. WOW! What a great experience from start to finish. Easy to make an appointment. Doctor was very patient and thorough. Staff took their time working through all the options! Well be back for sure!

My wife and I came to each get a pair of glasses at this location. As soon as we walked in we felt like the staff was very rude as we were told to wait at the door while trying to browse some of the glasses on display to just get that portion out of the way early. We showed up at 5 Tonya immediately scolded us that we were supposed to come alone and not bring our children (cause were supposed to leave them in a car alone I guess). We had our appointment one right after the other but they wouldnt let us wait inside as my 2 year old doesnt like to wear masks but the rest of us were wearing them and she was in her stroller to keep from touching anything. So we asked if we can wait outside and Ill come in after my wife finished but Tonya stated that they are booked up for the rest of the day granted the door says walk ins welcome so they should not advertise that if they cant accommodate or she just couldnt be bothered to deal with us since we came in at 5 and they close at 7 pm. Then proceeded to talk over me and my wife to tell our older daughter who was wearing a mask you can go wait outside with him meaning me basically shoving her out the door. Whatever the excuse I did not feel welcome and will not be returning to get my glasses here because of the poor customer service. The 2 star rating is only because the store was clean professionalism zero.

I just walked in! It’s was about 3:30pm. They checked my temperature & I had to use their hand sanitizer. I simply asked I can get another set of glasses with my current prescription they said yes! They asked me to look around after they imputed my info. I asked if I can pick out the glasses that were 2 for $78 without the eye exam and they said yes of course! I picked out my 2 frames and when I was told what the price was I was so happy! Only $103 for 2 brand new glasses! The warranty is unlimited. The best part was they told me I can picked them up the same day at 5:30pm! Very nice, clean, professional and fast service! Definitely would recommend this place!!!

Everyone is booked for appointments and I just happened to luck put they had an opening today. Stsff was friendly and efficient. The doctor and .medical assistant were patient. The doctor is good! He noticed something was wrong during the exam and discovered i have cataracts. He gave me a referral to an ophthalmologist. They didnt charge for the visit. This was my first time there and I would highly recommend them !!

I have emailed My issue to the email address that was listed online when googling them. I order glasses over $ 400- never received them plus a pair of my frames for new lens. The manager is out of control and very abusive. This is a long story but if you look up my name and the email I sent you will know. Im requesting a call from someone who has authority over this store and manager. This is theft when you pay for something however you dont receive it. Hoping I hear from someone ASAP.I will purse this further.

I returned a pair of progressive glasses today to the 98 noth lakeland location and a lady name Tonya assisted me but seem to take it personal I was returning these glasses. She tried everything she could think of to get to keep them. Understandable it is a business. She did become rude and snotty.Tonya will not ever have to deal with me again. Doc Vernon is absolutely adorable and as friendly as they come, all the staff was so helpful in explaining all my best option for frames and contacts when it came to maximizing my dollar and all the deals they had going on. Working with Jackie made it so easy for me. She is incredible at her job, you would think she is a rep for the frame companies the way she helped me choose just the right frame to fit my face. The doctor I saw here was very personable. I felt that my eye health was a priority. As someone who was a long time patient of Americas Best (In N. Lakeland) and was denied because of having a trained service dog, I decided I no longer trusted their care even after they were informed of the laws.. I then found Eyeglass World and their service was fast and I was elated that I had no issues with my appointment. I will be a forever patient and always recommend Eyeglass World.

If I could give 10 stars, I would. Weve been using this Eyeglass World location since October 2015 (its now September 2020), and have had nothing but the best experiences here. Ive purchased contact lenses for myself, as well as MANY pairs of glasses for my son. Hes been through a lot, with multiple eye surgeries and lots of resulting anxiety around medical offices. Every single employee treats us with respect and kindness, greeting us like we are family every time we walk in the door. We pay a small amount of money every year to have insurance on my sons glasses, and it has paid off at least 10000000x its value. No matter what has happened with the glasses, all we do is walk in, they examine the glasses to determine whether or not the damage is reparable, and if not, they are replaced (often on the spot within a few minutes). We are certainly considered frequent flyers, and never feel like an inconvenience or imposition. Tonya has gone out of her way on multiple occasions to be helpful, and has certainly saved the day more than once.I also want to mention that weve been a few times since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, and I feel especially safe visiting at this time. The safety protocols put in place reassure me (to the highest degree possible) that theyre doing everything they can to prevent the spread of disease. From temperature checks at the door to strictly enforcing the city ordinance requiring masks, Eyeglass World is doing everything in its power to safely help customers.

Erika from the front part of eyeglass world is so helpful! I went in right at opening * yes I was that person * because of Covid and I’m immunocompromised. I was in and out in 30-40 minutes Max and got the cutest shades ever! I used a coupon and she was super kind. Very very compassionate. 10/10 recommend Erika if you plan on getting glasses :)

Omg I don’t know even know where to start. I walked in Saturday afternoon with my Prescription looking for glasses and Mary my tech was a life saver. She wasn’t my original tech but I am sooo happy she was there and ready to help. She found the perfect glasses for me and made me feel comfortable and not rushed to find something fast. Optometrist was very good and welcoming. Lady at front desk was rude made me feel very uncomfortable during my time shopping the store. I was yelled at when entering because of hand sanitizer, totally unnecessary. I also had to wait in the outside in the heat because off their covid procedure. Their frames are overpriced and bad quality. Wouldnt get my glasses there but will return for my eye exam.

My glasses from eyeglass world that were still under warranty broke I went into the store to have them fixed. I had my 2 year old with me who they said had to wear a mask. I placed the oversized mask they gave me for him on his face and tried to finagle it to stay on it was still much too big. He wore the mask for all of two minutes. I continued to encourage him to wear the mask even tried bribing him he refused, he was behaving otherwise though and there were no other customers in the store at this time just us and the three people who worked there. The store employee told me he needed to put the mask back on I told her I was trying to get him to wear it and she told me I needed to leave and they would call me when my glasses were ready and I would need to come back alone to pick them up. I talked to corporate about what happened they told me the store employee could walk my glasses out to my car so that my child wouldn’t go in their store. Not a family friendly place and making a two year old wear a mask that is way to big and hangs blow his nose is nonsense!

I had an eye exam today 04/13/2021 an I didn’t have the funds an left the nurse came out an said my manager is going to give u a discount I was going to leave I went back in Bless her soul she said were always looking for someone to help an send my glasses to be made the same day nice things never happen to me 🖤 God Bless ! Great experience from start to finish! The doctor was personable and the optician was very knowledgeable. It was helpful to have her input as there were many options for lenses in my price range. I am new to all this, so she walked me through my options with transition lenses vs prescription sunglasses. I appreciated her attentiveness to details and will definitely get any future glasses here!

One lady there was very rude. She wasnt even the one helping me. She was yelling across the store at me. I felt very attacked. So I ask for my prescription back and went to Lenscrafters across the street. If you are looking for good customer service and fast service Lenscrafters is the place to go. I will never step foot in Eyeglass world off of Hwy 98 in Lakeland again.

I would like to thank Mary and Jackie for taking such good care of my mother in law. It was difficult for her to get into the store because of her current health condition. The girls offered to come out to the car to fit her glasses when they were ready so we would not have a difficult time getting her back in the store. Mary called me when the glasses were ready early and mom tried them on in the car. It was definitely above and beyond what they had to do. it was excellent customer service! keep it up girls!

Very Inconsiderate to have asked me in front of everyone if i have COVID or let alone any medical information. You can’t ask people medical information like that in front of everyone it’s a HIPAA plus she couldn’t even say good morning...she demanded me to use her alcohol hand sanitizer and said I’m gonna ask you questions.They asked me the same questions 12 hours ago over the phone why would I be inconsiderate and come in here and risk other peoples lives. So I took this very personal.Obviously they’re not very busy because I went to go schedule and everyone else is a month out. So i then called to talk to a supervisor and they didn’t even put me on the phone with the supervisor when I asked. Im sorry but ugh...i hope this doesn’t happen to other people.For the record used hand Sanitizer exiting my car and had Appropriate mask on! They treated me like i was COVID. very disappointed to be call a healthcare facility. All you have to do is take temperatures thats it. All the other doctors take temperatures and thats what a true healthcare facility does!!Im sorry but The lady in the front who greeted me was so rude I didn’t even give this place a chance. I had an appointment 9/5/20. Punctual, thorough with the firs 4 exams. The optometrist asked a lot of questions that for me is fantastic. He took his time to do my exam, was very welcoming and made me feel relax. The establishment are taking very strict precautions with the patient. Sterilizing the area. Love the options and specially the prices. This was my first time but not the last. I really recommend Eyeglass Word.

Tonya. The lady at the front when you walk through the doors is incredibly rude! I see from the reviews that this has been said several times. She kicked out my husband because he his appointment wasnt for another 45 minutes. She was very rude about the way she told him he couldnt come in a wait. There was only one other person waiting in the back so I had made a comment to the ladies in the back and they called tonya and she finally let him back. In that situation it was upsetting the way she talked to my husband and she should have kept count of the people in the back office before telling my husband he wasnt aloud to come in. My second encounter with tonya was when I went back to pick up my glasses. I had walked in without my mask and instead of nicely asking me to step outside and shed meet me with a mask she VERY rudely told me I couldnt be in the building and I had go outside. She has a very nasty attitude and should be fired from all the reviews shes been given poorly.

This place is super, I mean efficient. Technician Samantha S. was completely helpful. Super sweet, communicative. I felt like i learned more about my glasses, in just 10 min with Sam. I would recommend her, and the company for glasses. I got 180$ frames buy one get one. So 360$ for 140$. What about that seems uncool. Get in here and fix them eyes.

I came down for a week for spring break with a friend. I just got down here and I realized that I had forgotten my contacts at home. I have been going to Eyeglass World on 98N for many years now. I just want to say what a great job Tonya, Lyn and everyone does for me. With my neck disability, I cannot look up very high, they worked with me to pick out frames and bring them to me while I was seated, to try them on, plus they were great in offering their expert opinion in helping me select the best frame that looks great ! And, with the deals and discount, I was very pleased with the final price. I highly recommend them.

Nancy, I am curious why I had to have a bad experience in your Lakeland store today when I shouldnt have had too. Your manager Tonya is obviously a problem as I have read about a dozen one star reviews and complaints on her alone in the last year. My experience today will only concur the dozen plus complaints that have already been brought to your attention that she is rude, she lacks compassion, politeness, respect for others, management skills, people skills and most of all customer service skills. So I am asking you Nancy why I had to have a very bad experience because you have not terminated this employee? If you need a new manager to take her place, I will gladly volunteer because I do have a bachelors in management with a specialty in project management. Do you not terminate this employee because she is a personal friend? I literally read more than a dozen complaints on her alone in the last year between different websites and mostly on Google. One could interpret the fact that that you have not terminated this employee for treating people the way she does because you honestly dont care that she treats your customers badly and that you dont care about your customers. Is that the image that you want your customers and the public to have about you Nancy? Do you care about your customers Nancy? All I am asking and everyone else is asking is to be treated with respect when we come to your place of establishment. I really dont think thats too much to ask for. People have referred to Tonya as Hitler and The Warden in their reviews as they complain about her. Please get back to me Nancy...I have been a customer of eyeglass world for over a decade from Orlando to New Port Richey to St Pete to today. This was the first time I went to the store in Lakeland off 98. We are at the tail end of the pandemic. As soon as I walk in the door, this middle-aged woman with glasses and shoulder length hair claiming to be the manager rudely says that I need to come in wearing the right mask like I had any idea because nobody said anything when I made the appointment. I apologized and try to say I didnt know and I couldnt even get out a full sentence and shes talking over me telling me I need to leave if I dont wear their mask when I was actually trying to put their mask on. And the situation just got worse from there. The woman was so rude and overbearing. For someone who is the supposed to be the manager, she has no compassion and experience on how to talk to people especially during a pandemic. I came in wearing a mask and apologized that it wasnt the mask that they supposedly give you at the front door when you dont have it. This woman has some serious issues and she is taking it out on the public. I never expected this from eyeglass world. I didnt even finish my appointment and walked out. I will not tolerate a person to disrespect me for no reason. I tried to tell her as I left why I am leaving and going to their competitor instead because she was rude and needs to learn to talk to people with respect and compassion. She just yelled over me telling me to leave and go to Americas Best for my eyecare. My decade of loyalty to this company meant nothing today to this woman. Its a shame that people are acting like this.

This place is great, to put it simply! Ive been here repeatedly and the staff is always very attentive and do their best to get their job done while keeping everyone safe in these crazy times. People need to remember that extra precautions have to be taken because of the pandemic and Im incredibly thankful that they take every measure they can to keep customers safe, even if its inconvenient, because its so important right now.

I was at your store location on N 98 on Monday 9/7 shortly after noon time. Not thinking I made entrance just inside the doors with out my mask on still around my neck. Just as I was reaching to pull it up I was verbally shouted at to cover up. She startled me and I said give me a second as I pulled my cover up. NO she said, you go outside and do it. I went outside pulled it down and back up. Went back inside and she said I need too take your temperature. I asked her what her problem was and why she had to be B about it that she startled me. She asked me what I needed ? I was here with my wife on getting glasses repaired. NO ! You need to go outside and wait Im calling the police. She went to my wife that was being waited on and told her what she had said to me. I left and went to the car. A few minutes later my wife came out to give me an update on the grass issue. I told my wife to retrieve her glasses that we will no longer do business here. She got the glasses, I went home and made two new eye appointments for my wife and I on Tuesday and for both of us exams and new glasses at Lakeland Eye Clip. I have done business with this store in the past for years but your door receptionist took care of that. It was way over kill and her tone of voice to other customers

I was promptly greeted, temperature taken, & escorted to the rear for my exam. Stephanie & AlRay welcomed me & checked me in. AlRay performed the routine measurements & presented the findings to Dr. Stapleton, who is the nicest, sweetest, & totally professional doctor I’ve encountered. He listened to me & allowed me to b a part of my diagnosis & treatment. At no time did anyone push unnecessary items. Stephanie, up front, was a lovely young lady who assisted in the purchase of my contacts & glasses. I was in/out within an hr. It was a delightful experience, amidst these Covid times. Thank you to the staff.

I love it here! The staff does an outstanding job helping you pick out glasses. They also make you feel safe during this pandemic. Definitely recommend.

God forbid you enter without your facecovering on properly. You will get yelled at in the most rudest loudest condescending tone by Hitler( the manager). Then you get asked 20 questions, and then forced to use there hand sanitiser. there is less protocal to go in the watson clinic than there is to enter this shop. then after they treat you rudely, they actually had the nerve to ask me to write a posituve google review because they are have a contest, NO NO NO......

They have blessed me with a new pair of bifocals. I broke my a month ago, Ive been struggling with backup single vision glasses. They got them all in one day. Thank you so very much

After reading several other reviews, at least I can say that Im not the only person that thinks the front office staff are completely RUDE. Stay away from this place. Whoever owns this store needs to do a much better job in hiring their staff. They are chasing away your customers. The actual eye doctor was great, but the rest of the staff are not helpful. It took three weeks to get my glasses. They wouldnt return phone calls when trying to get an update on when the glasses would arrive. Worst eye glass store ever! I will never go back and will spread the word to anyone that asks to stay away from this place.

Wish I could give a rating of no stars. The manager is the problem. Rude, domineering, and taking sadistic glee in others discomfort. I watched her yell at multiple customers and threaten to call the police on someone who told her she was rude. Then call after them as they left. Yeah, thats right. I was imagining the smirk on her face from her body language. Cant catch her name because she strategically positions her hair to cover it up.

I was very disappointed with my first trip Eye Glass World. When you first walk in the door, you will be attacked by a warden named Tanya. This lady takes her job to overbearing. People do NOT like to be hassled when they first walk in. Especially a new customer! Ask the questions you need but not loud enough for the whole office to hear. I felt as though I was a child entering the wrong classroom.I was finally granted permission from the “warden” to head back to my eye appointment. Once I finally made it back to see the Doctor, he never introduced himself or even cleaned the room before I entered. How do I know this?? The dr never even shut the door when he was examining other patients including me. I work in healthcare and watch closely in other offices. I sat down and he moved the equipment over near me and I noticed someone else’s makeup on it. I asked, “do you clean it before I use it?”Answer..... sure. He cleaned it quickly then with an attitude asked if that met my approval. It was the worst eye exam I ever had.Returned to pick out glasses and was explained that if I try on glasses and did not like them to put in the bin. Ok no problem. Understand there protocol. But I moved two frames apart to see price and the warden yelled!!! Nothing nice out of her but scolding this customer. How dare I need to look at the price!I was about to walk out but Ana another employee stopped me and encouraged me to stay. Ana was great. Very knowledgeable and respectful!!!! To Tanya who also yelled at other customers..... that is not a way to get customers to recommend your store. Because I know I will NOT!!!! Beware!!! Go on a day Warden Tanya is not guarding the door!!!!

I will never step foot in that place again, that manager tnya is the rudest, horriblest person ever. She needs to be replace by someone who has respect for people. yelling at people, barating people, threatening people, worst costomer service. But I got a good deal on glasses

I’ve visited this place a few times and it has never been a pleasure. Each time I go it’s like no one knows why I’m even there and after talking with each other and then me they finally figure it out. Each time I make a appointment I get there on time and wait at least 30 to 35 minutes to be seen and then told that I can’t be seen because the optometrist who seen me originally isn’t in. This has happened two times in a row. Why schedule me a second time knowing that the optometrist who is in isn’t going to see me because he didn’t originally see me? I’m not sure if they understand that I’m taking time off work to make these pointless appointments. I’d rather use my time on other things then waiting a hour to be told they have to schedule me to come back in. It’s the north Lakeland FL location on US Hwy 98 N

I had a great experience today at EyeGlass World. I was greeted at the door and informed of the social distancing and mask requirements. I was pleased to see the measures in place and that all the staff were also observing the protection measures. The medical assistant was very friendly. Dr. Stapleton was very thorough in his exam, he asked about my history and I felt like he made extra effort to be sure that I was seeing as clearly as possible. I was amazed at how much better clarity in my bifocals as to what I had gotten from a prior doctors exam. Then I moved to the dreaded picking out of the frames. Tonya helped me pick out frames that my daughter even approved of on the second attempt. I was able to take advantage of a buy 1 get 1 frame offer. After picking out the frames Jessica and Samantha helped me with fitting and payment. I felt like I was visiting with old friends through the entire visit.

Honestly I appreciate this location so much they got me in today and got my difficult prescription done as well and it was extremely affordable thank you guys for all the help

Came in for new glasses and was blown away. Tonya was very helpful and professional. Even with the current COVID situation she was very helpful and kind. I will definitely be back again.

My visit exceeded my expectations. I was super impressed with the check-in process, the doctor, the techs, the selection and the price. My glasses were ready the next day on time and are perfect. Would highlight recommend to others..

My first experience with Eyeglass World was very pleasant, the staff was very professional the atmosphere was welcoming, clean and safe.
