Had a jalapeño bagel with cheese and cream cheese. It was delicious! The staff is friendly and very quick at preparing your food. Will definitely come back when Im in the area.

Its great to have a good bagel place in town. Im a big fan of the Churches - cream cheese, tomato, avocado and lemon pepper. I usually go with an onion bagel, well, because I like onion bagels.The smoothies are pretty good, too. The aloha berry is my choice.So, if you want a good, quick breakfast, stay local and check out the Bagel Shack.

Covid or not, one of the best choices in San Clem for breakfast or lunch. We had the Lowers with bacon this morning, never to disappoint. Extensive menu with something for everyone. Dont just drive by, give The Bagel Shack a try youll be forever a fan! Call ahead and theyll have your order waiting.

The Bagel Shack was way to dirty to be serving food. I left disappointed and hungry. The owner should take more pride in how the whole operation works and (Looks). Please clean your establishment and maybe customers like myself would return.

Nice bagel shop. They don’t have many dairy free or vegan options. Avoid the everything bagel if you are trying to avoid dairy as it has cheese. They do have hummus, so you can substitute cream cheese.

Best place for a bacon/egg/cheese on a bagel in a 10 mile radius. BLT is great - bacon is always crispy. Good source for jalapeño bagels as well.

I am sick and tired of businesses misleading consumers. I have to watch my sugar levels so i avoid artificially sugared juices.They advertized for freshly squeezed orange juice. For those who dont know, it means shortly before you bought it. This is critical since you could avoid diabete if you stick to natural instead added sugar.When i asked the person on the phone to not add any sugar, they admitted that it comes from a box (Very high sugar content). And they charge mothers market (which is squeezed in front of you) prices for that.50% of this country will be obese within 10 years because of deceptive business practices like these. 60% of bankrupcies are due to medical bills in this country. Just go an check how much diabetes epipen cost. BE HONEST, REMOVE FRESHLY SQUEEZED AND STOP CONTRIBUTING TO THE DIABETE EPIDEMIC.

They have egg bagels!!!! Rye too!!! I’ve been searching high and low for egg bagels and no one, absolutely no one, makes them anymore. I got two dozen and they made one fresh!!! We ate a bagel while we waited for our fresh made dozen and it was delicious! This place didn’t disappoint. We will be back. I drove from Temecula because I wanted an egg bagel so bad. Haha! All of the staff and the owner are super friendly and FAST!

Not it. They microwave their eggs and cheese. Makes the bagels tase like cardboard. Eggs taste and feel like plastic. Eggs were un-eatable

I was craving a jalapeño bagel luckily the bagel shack was on my way to my mechanic. I got their basic breakfast sandwich which was delicious, my only complaint is their sandwiches are made too messy especially eggs a big chuck of blob which made it hard to spread throughout the sandwich. Seemed one they must slapped everything on it. Maybe Im a lil ocd, but dont you want to have alk the flavors in 2 bite?

I love the bagels at this place and they make awesome sandwiches for breakfast and lunch. Service is excellent, they are quick to take your order and rsch order is made at that point. Slight wait time, but the quality is worth it. The dont skimp on the portions either. I love the smoked turkey BLT.

Great and friendly service, the bagels themselves are delicious (especially impressed with the sundried tomato) but the cream cheese leaves a lot to be desired. Its very liquidy and messy. It would be better if it was thicker and creamier. But overall not bad :)

BEST BAGELS IN SOUTH OC.I placed an order for 24 bagels ahead of time and still waited about 10 min until I was helped or greeted. There was no one at register as the gal who was the cashier was taking phone orders. Just my luck the person ordering over the phone took so long. I wished she got some help to move the line. By the time I was helped a line had formed over 6-7 people. My order was ready and paid for, so it defeats the purpose of doing Eve ahead of time if I still had to wait 10 min to get my order. I guess these bagels are just waiting for!

These arent bagels. For those of you looking for an authentic bagel, thats not what these are. These are basically bread rolls, so if you dont mind that, or if you dont understand what an authentic bagel is, then youll like this place. Clean location, friendly staff, appears to be family owned. Menu options look good, wide variety and selections. They make a good effort for their menu, just remember, they arent bagels. Picture below is of PB&J on toasted plain bagel. Bread was cold, but toasted. They were a tad busy but still expect the peanut butter to be melting. Overall, 2 stars.

I brought my car in using my Groupon at the very last minute. I know I should have used it earlier... Oh well. Paul was really nice and squeezed me in not only that, he drove home with me and took the car back to his workshop. Seriously my car dealership dont even provide this type of service. (Rector Audi in Burlingame service ended once I signed the purchase agreement.)

Best bagels ever!

My boyfriend and I ordered two breakfast bagels from here this morning through DoorDash and we were super excited to eat them once they arrived. They looked beautiful from the outside! However, on the inside of the sandwich, after eating a few bites, the thick egg patty was completely grey. I had read reviews that made it seem like the ingredients were always fresh so this was super disappointing! We immediately stopped eating our sandwiches and set them on the coffee table where they have remained for an hour+. Super upsetting first experience, will not be eating here again.

My wife says 5 stars and I say 5 stars! The bagels are certainly tasty! Are they worth the money? That’s what you gotta ask yourself. We got 2 bagels, chips, and a drink for almost $17. It was tasty! But again a little pricey. That’s my only gripe. I got the Cotton’s!What did you get?

I visited The Bagel Shack earlier this week and was thoroughly impressed with the customer service. Everyone was incredibly friendly- I felt welcomed right away.I live in NY which has some of the best bagel shops, and I believe the quality of the food and drinks was superior to what I am familiar with.I highly recommend the vanilla latte- absolutely delish and just the right amount of sugar! Thank you for the wonderful food and I look forward to the next time I visit!

This place has a great selection of bagels of all different flavors. You can choose a bagel and then do anything to it. Get a bagel toasted with cream cheese, get a breakfast sandwich on that bagel, pick out bagels yourself to bring to the office, or get a lunch sandwich. The variety and quality of bagels and sandwiches are what make Bagel Shack my favorite bagel place of all time.I recommend these bagels, in order: Swiss, Cheddar, Everything, Salt, Garlic, Blueberry, French Toast. The best bagel sandwich is the Lowers with Sausage, then the San-O, or an Old Mans.I grew up going to the original Bagel Shack, in San Clemente. After moving away, this was one of the food places I missed the most. Once moving back into the area and finding the El Toro location, I tried it. Thankfully, the bagels and everything are just as great as the original San Clemente location, which is so awesome.The inside of this location is a little small for sitting down, but the outside seating is great for eating there. Theyre pretty fast, so its also a great place to stop on the way to work or school in the morning. The staff is very attentive, personable, and friendly, getting your order fast and checking on you after youve finished eating. I highly recommend Bagel Shack!

This is one of my favorite OC bagel shops. I love all three locations I visited (San Clemente, San Juan Capistrano, and Lake Forest). The bagels are fresh and the sandwiches are made to order. The coffee is very tasty as well. My favorite is the Old Mans on a swiss bagel, but there are a lot of other good choices on the menu board. Take home a bakers dozen today!

First time visitor, quite happy with choice. Great staff, friendly customers and busy atmosphere.....on top of that delicious bagels! Got a bunch of them including the Doheny Bagel that was amazing. Line moved pretty well but was pushing out the front door (for a good reason).

I love bagel shack! They opened after bagels and brew but I honestly prefer them. They both offer different styles of bagels and are good, but bagel shacks bagels have something different. They are fluffy and light along with their delicious cream cheeses and a good size. The staff is also very refreshing and always talks/jokes with me no matter who it is. They have outdoor and indoor seating and I always bring my dog which is a must for me.Update: 2 years later still delicious. Service lacking, the past few times Ive gone there is always new staff and they dont have very good attitudes; and apparently tomato is the new avocado because I added tomato to my bagel and cream cheese which cost $2 extra. Might as well have ordered a sandwich with 2x the fixings in that case. Disappointing.

Came back after years because of good coupon. Wife had great sandwich with scrambled eggs and cheese. Mine (served open-faced) with four huge tomato slices, feta cheese topping, heavy serving of Calamata olives and balsamic dressing.It was huge and delicious. Service was very friendly and accommodating.

Asked the lady in front twice to check for my order and she kept saying theyll call my name (didnt checked), my food was sitting there for almost 30 minutes and my food was already cold. People come and go and they are not paying attention to my order. Very unhelpful. Not going back here.

While there are many good items on their menu, I go here for one thing, a plain bagel with jam and cream cheese (it sounds weird, but trust me its great) and it is listed on their menu board.When they first opened I would go more frequently and my order was always right. As time went on it kept being messed up. Despite the cashier saying the order correctly about 20% of the time whoever prepared the bagels would make it with just cream cheese or worse peanut butter and jelly (which is this dry inedible thing). Sometimes I would notice on the way out of the store and sometimes not until I arrive back home. While I did drive back and ask for a replacement the time I got peanut butter and jam, I usually just sigh and return home, putting on jam myself (Im not one for complaining face to face).After not going here for a couple of years I stopped by this past weekend and ordered a bagel with jam and cream cheese, as repeated to me by the cashier. I checked on the way out to see that once again there was no jam.Long story, check your order before you go if you want it to be correct. Or maybe they just dont get that people really do order bagels with jam and cream cheese.

Litteraly the best bagel Ive ever had. The only reason I even went there is I was at my parents for Thanksgiving. They were the only breakfast place open besides fast food so we tried it. I dont know how you make a bagel different but these are. I will definitely make it part of my visits from now on. The young man at the counter was very accommodating.

The best bagels in Southern California.Im a ex-cab driver from New York City so I love bagels. Whenever I need my bagel fix, I drive miles to get my bagels from the Bagel Shack. My only question is, are the bagels they sell, bagels? Theyre made with flour and yeast and water and theyre round but there the resemblance ends. Theyre not dense or chewy or slightly shiny like NYC bagels. Still, I love them. When I eat them and enjoy them, I feel like a traitor.

Love their bagels. I would get the Uppers with steak, eggs, and pepperjack cheese. They are huge and delicious! The service was also quick, but there isnt much of a waiting area since it is normally packed.
