We just bought a house and had been looking for the right fridge for a week with no luck. I finally saw the one I wanted at sears outlet online and hurried over to the store. I was thinking just my luck, they just locked the doors for the night. But then Mr Isaiah kindly opened the door and assured us that it was fine for us to do our shopping. I quickly found my fridge. Mr Isaiah was very informative about all the details, and was very kind. He was a life saver that night. Im very grateful that he opened the doors and made one last sale, because you Mr Isaiah have gained yourself a customer for life!

Made a bulk purchase of 6 Whirlpool Drop-In Ranges from American Freights Lafayette store. Isaiah Norwood assisted me with this purchase & was very thorough with fulfilling my order. I explained to him how urgent it was to get these particular ranges for my complex, & he was able to get the ranges from the Dallas store since they werent in stock in Lafayette! I purchased a washing machine from here. I was under the impression I would be receiving a NEW washer. When my husband went to pick it up and bring it home, it had several scratches and dents, including a large one with rust. I immediately called the store to notify them and the salesman told me the store was a scratch and dent store so all their appliances have cosmetic issues. At no time during my visit there was I ever told this. I did not see any signs on the door or anywhere else when I went in that mentioned I would be getting an appliance with dents and rust. I purchased a washing machine for over $800 that looked like it had been used for a year. The salesman lied to me several times during the call, but eventually told me they would give me an additional 10% off. My husband had to take off work early to go and pick this up before they closed and could not do that again, so we agreed to the 10%. I asked him to please send me an email stating the discount was credited back to my card and he assured me he would. The next day I called again because I had not received it, and he said I would have to come into the store for the refund. When I went into the store, MY salesperson was not there. I explained to the person working what was going on and that I was just there to get my refund credited back. He was very rude and told me there was no way I was receiving a refund, because I had already gotten a 5% discount when I purchased the warranty. He asked me which machine I had purchased and when I pointed to it, he said well if you purchased that specific one, we will exchange it for that one. I tried to explain that I purchased that MODEL, not that specific machine, and was under the impression I was receiving a new one because I was not told otherwise. He then proceeded to yell and tell me I just told him I purchased THIS particular washer and I needed to make up my mind which one I bought. I was so angry and on the verge of crying I asked to speak with the manager at which point I found out this WAS the manager, yelling at a woman in his store!! He also got nasty with an employee while I was there. I immediately left and called the corporate office. The lady I spoke with put me on hold and called the manager. He told her he would get with his district manager to get me my 10%, but I haven’t heard from anyone and it has been a month. I also reported the interaction on their website which I have heard nothing from also. I absolutely can not believe how I was treated in this store, all over a 10% discount!! I have given up messing with it, 10% is not that important to me, but everyone needs to know what type of business practices they have.

My husband and I were on our way to the laundry to wash clothes. We were passing this location and decided to stop and price a washer and dryer. Isaiah the sales person greeted us very warmly upon arrival and was very helpful throughout. Isaiah was very knowledgeable, answered all of our questions and even made great suggestions. He helped us pick out the perfect washer/dryer set for us. We were not thinking of purchasing today because of finances but he encouraged us to apply for the store financing. I recently purchased 3 appliances from Sears Outlet Store and had them delivered. On the delivery day I noticed that one knob on the stove wasn’t on correctly so the delivery man took it off and lined it up correctly. I didn’t really examine it at the time but later when wiping the stove down the knob just fell off. I called Sears and was immediately given information as to how to get a replacement. That night I noticed that the refrigerator seemed to be making louder than normal noises. Next day I again contacted “Isaiah” to report the issue. He was very kind and understanding and had a repair person sent to my house to assess and repair the problem. The dishwasher wasn’t going to be installed until a couple of days later. Day before install I was reading instructions and noticed that the outer insulation was missing. I got in touch with Isaiah for the 3rd time and really expected him to express frustration but instead was very patient and immediately responded. I sent my adult daughter to pick up the insulation. She too was very impressed with Isaiah’s sincerity and ability to make her laugh and brighten her mood. I hoped that I would not need to call Isaiah with any other issues but low and behold I noticed that I was unable to open a cabinet drawer without opening the dishwasher door. I realized that this was my mistake but I was so disappointed that I took a chance and contacted Isaiah yet a fourth time and got the same pleasant response I now figured I would. Isaiah has agreed to assist me in coming up with a solution to this problem. I just want to say that Sears is so fortunate to have such a personable and professional gentleman working in their Lafayette store. This situation could have been disastrous for me but thanks to Isaiah’s patience and accommodating consideration I am a happy customer. I would not hesitate to send others to make a purchase from Sears Outlet because of the positive experience provided by Isaiah.I usually never write reviews but felt this exceptional gentleman deserved an exceptional review.

After years of passing this place up I decided to stop by today. I walked in and was sooo surprised at all the appliances they have.. BRAND NEW.. at an affordable price at that. Out of curiosity I asked about gas dryers (which we ALL KNOW is so hard to find) and they had it, IN THE STORE!! No waiting 10 days for delivery like other places lol! I was online looking for Pellet smokers and i called around and couldn’t find one for me or the right price. I called Sears Outlet/American Freight in Lafayette, LA and spoke to Isaiah. From our phone conversation the customer service I received was outstanding. He knew about the product and he answered ever questioned I had. Not only did I get the smoker I been looking for but I also bought other things as well. Never heard of this place but because of the great customer service I will be back and I will also tell everyone I know to shop here and ask for Isaiah. As a customer you want service like this!!!

Tried to reserve an upright freezer online but Searss payment system was down all day, so I tried calling the store but they dont answer the phone. So I called the main Sears customer service line who confirmed it was in stock. This was important because it was over 1.5 hours away from me. I drove all the way there to walk in and be told a guy got there before me and purchased it. Had to drive an hour and a half back with nothing. Had they answered their phone or had their online system worked I would have had it but instead spend 3 hours and gas money to get nothing.
