I LOVE this shop!! My husband just got a mustang and the previous owner was terrified of it so he pulled out in 2nd gear which means the clutch was trash and Mike and Michelle were so unbelievably helpful they got our car in that day and we got it back the next day their services were so fast and a quarter of the price of everywhere else we called. Today we noticed something was wrong with the shifter and no questions asked Mike told us to bring it in he took time out of his busy schedule to drive our car and lift it to see what was wrong exactly I will always go back to these people for anything that ever goes wrong with our cars and if your looking for somewhere to go this is the place!!!!

We needed some help with a car break down and coolant leak on our way back home. We were provided quick cost effective service and repairs. Travelling with kids, we got priority. Thanks to the caring management in helping us get back on the road within 2 hours. Many thanks for going above and beyond.

The “free diagnosis” turned into $900 dollars to really see what’s wrong. Was told typically high end repair would be 1500-1600. Then came back with a 4000 estimate. Listen to the reviews. No way this place has 4 stars. Would give even less than 1 if I could. We will be taking our car somewhere else.

To whom this may concern transmission America here in Knoxville between merchants and Clinton Highway. Has repaired my Ford ranger. Almost a year ago. The truck is give me excellent service I’ve had excellent quality done to the truck very pleased. Also today I am sitting right now in their lot with my 2014 Buick Enclave. I was concerned that I may have an issue with it and the gentleman came out did a test run. And also check my fluids. And gave me an honest opinion I thought I needed a transmission flush. He told me my fluid was perfect transmission was doing great he would not waste the money. He said it was not technically time to have this transmission serviced yet. I appreciate the honesty that they gave me. They did not try to price gouge me or make up stories to get me to do a transmission flush it wasn’t needed. That’s one of the main reasons why I come here honesty mechanics. They tell the truth they don’t find a way to make more money out of you. So my opinion I will always bring my car here

I had an amazing experience with Michelle and the whole team, her customer service was top notch. I called the day before to get a quote (which was accurate) to replace my ac compressor for my Ford five hundred. I took my car in the next morning as soon as they opened and was greeted with a smile and an explanation as to what needed to be done and why my car was making the noise it was. Turns out the AC belt needed to be changed as well, which they did at not much of an additional cost! I was able to call and pay for their services over the phone and pick up my car after hours to find it with freezing cold AC and running perfectly! I would highly recommend this place to anyone for any of their services!

Words cannot express how grateful we are for Michelle and Mike they really went above and beyond I will recommend them for the rest of my life they really earned a customer For life. I don’t know who runs this place or who owns it but they are really lucky to have those two employees.

I never leave reviews but I wanted it to be known how horrible our experience was with this shop. It took 2 weeks for us to get our vehicle back after being told it would take one week. I’d call almost daily to get an update because they never contacted us except to tell us how much it would cost to fix after an $800 deposit. Every time I called we’d be told lie after lie about what was being done or why it wasn’t done. My husband stopped in one day to actually look at the vehicle and see where they were with the transmission and the mechanic wasn’t sure which was ours and it was still in pieces when we’d been told the day before it was rebuilt. After getting the vehicle back it made 2 new noises that it didn’t before I took in. I took it back after 2 weeks for the warranty check in and told them about the noises and they immediately responded with more than likely it’s not our fault. We probably exposed a problem you already had. After spending 2 hours there they finally found what each issue was and both were their fault. If we have any future issues with the transmission even if it’s still under warranty we’d never take it back to this shop and have them touch it. We also have not received an invoice for the work done even though we’ve had the vehicle back for a few weeks now.

Dont go there ..At first they where very professional then after paying them UMP some money to fix THE PROBLEM BY THE WAY YOU SAID WAS THE PROBLEM . 3 months later back again...She acts as if she cares but really only cares about getting your money. Called to let HER know that its having problems Again I wait on HOLD FOR 45 minutes she doesnt even come back to the phone (BUT WAS Available for PAYMENTS) I m on Hold for A JUNKY A JUNKY ANSWERS Hes not really On HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE MEDICINE YALL tell me to bring it up there in a 3 HRS because he wants to see it... BUT was to HIGH to even SPEAK CORRECTLY..BOTTOM LINE DONT WASTE YOUR TIME OR KINDNESS WITH THESE SCAMMERS.. Then throwing some oh fake Warranty paper that she really doesnt even put the actual miles driven on. FACTS.

I am 45 years old and this is BY FAR the worst consumer decision I have EVER made. If I could give minus 10 stars, I would. I took my car to these shysters earlier this year with a transmission issue. They told us that they HAD to charge $800 just to remove the transmission and diagnose the issue. They said it was Tennessee law. After 2-3 days, they called and reported that they needed to rebuild the transmission, and it would be an additional $3200. We reluctantly pre-paid to get a 10% discount. These idiots kept my car for 3 week-only to find out that they NEVER fixed the problem. Once they called to say it was fixed, I drove it off the parking lot, it stalled out even worse than before. I was told that the transmission had to learn and recalibrate itself. I drove the car on the interstate and the transmission failed. I literally had to drive my car going less than five miles an hour from Seymour back to this clown. I called the mechanics and Mike assured me they would have the car ready in a week. That week turned into 3 weeks. Once I got the car back, it was still acting up and I took it to another independent mechanic to diagnosis the issue. Another auto mechanic diagnosed the problem as a transmission issue, while Mike argued it was an engine issue, and they dont work on engines. After taking it to the Nissan dealership, they confirmed it indeed was the transmission. I had two independent mechanics report that the problem was the transmission, and they still argued it wasnt their issue. Once they decided they needed to do something about it, they kept the car for another MONTH telling me everyday that it will be done in a couple of days. I left numerous messages, and never received a call back. Michelle and Mike even learned my personal and work phone numbers and started ignoring our calls. (I know this because I made phone calls from my cell with no answer, and then immediately from an unfamiliar number with which they answered within 2 rings. Not only did Mike continually lie to us, but Michelle never called and gave us updates. I had to call every time. Instead of sticking behind their repair, and then offering to make it right, they continued to stall and insist they needed to rebuild the existing CVT transmission in my Nissan Sentra. It was more than obvious they were not capable of fixing the problem, and refused to just say, Sorry, we cant fix it. Youll need to take it to the dealership.. After an additional month of promises to have my car ready, they ultimately had to buy a brand new transmission, and then blame the Nissan dealership for selling a faulty product to them--which was a bold face LIE. Nissan had to reinstall the SAME transmission and program it to ensure it worked. If I had just bought a new transmission with the money I spent with this charlatan outfit, I wouldnt have had to spend over 2 months without a car this year. And on top of it all, they refused to issue me an itemized receipt showing the parts and labor.When you get transmission work done here, they give you a warranty, but the warranty is null and void if the automobiles transmission is serviced anywhere else. We were trapped. Hiring these circus clowns to fix my transmission was the worst purchase decision I have ever made. Dont do it! Caveat Emptor!

I don’t write reviews but these folks deserve one! We had transmission trouble while on vacation. I picked them at random from a Google search. Michelle (who will always be known as our Customer Guardian Angel) sent Diego to pick us up since 5 people don’t fit in a tow truck. They could have arranged towing if we hadn’t already called AAA. They were amazing to deal with, fair on price and helped get us back on the road. I can’t say enough about Michelle, Diego, Tom and Chris. No one wants to need a transmission repair company but if you do, THESE are your people!

I had my car fixed over there they parked it across the street a Walgreens and somebody stole my catalytic converter and then they had sent my car somewhere to get fixed and they tried to charge me $734 for a new one but I had it towed to Quick O Mufflers and they got me right for a $134 . I felt played.

Customer service was very outstanding. They do outstanding work and they’re honest and upfront with you before they do any jobs.

Had trans rebuilt here and it didnt last me 4 months. Then i brought it back and they said they put a new valve body in it and ordered it from Ford. I called Ford and they never ordered it, therefore they didnt fix it or are putting used parts in it. Got my truck back after they put the valve body in it. It lasted about 3 hrs before it completely went out and said they wouldnt cover it under warranty no longer.

Michelle was good to talk to...had trans rebuilt so far .. great... still does good during the warranty will rate it 5 stars...

I dropped my truck off on Monday morning in tears. It’s my baby. Nobody touches it, it’s kept immaculate & watched over like it’s a child. That’s just how I am. Imagine my reservation knowing I had to leave it with strangers in hopes that they would take care of it as well as I do. Not knowing exactly what was wrong with it, I anticipated it being gone for a while & did not want it left outside at night. I wanted pictures of old and new parts, I wanted daily phone calls to be updated, I was asking for A LOT.Michelle assured me that she was going to make sure that not only was my truck well taken care, but that I was updated every step of the way.Well, she did just that and so much more. She went above and beyond to keep me updated through phone calls & texts. I was sent pictures of all of the parts, I was sent a picture each evening as she left to let me know that my truck was put in the shop for the night. She also spent countless hours on the phone price matching & finding me the best parts at the best prices.Working with Michelle was an absolute dream. I’ve never been treated with so much respect! She literally went above and beyond every single day, every step of the way. She made it her mission to make sure that I was a happy customer.Wednesday afternoon my truck was done. This truck had a lot of work done to it & was still done in an extremely timely manner. When I got there, Michelle was out at my truck making sure it was in pristine condition.I left my truck on a Monday with strangers. I picked it up on Wednesday, it’s running like a dream & I believe I have found a new friend in Michelle.Way to go Transmission Corporation! You have earned a lifetime customer here!

I just wanna say, Ive got an oldie but a goodie in my 03 Crown Vic. These guys have been the only ones Ive been able to trust to rebuild nearly the entire driveline on this car over the last two years. I cannot enthusiastically ENOUGH get across how great these guys are. -I digress here quickly but also let me point out that they also literally saved me better than half off over two previous estimates from other shops.- Ill get another 200,000 out of her yet. One last thing, when I couldnt come up with the full amount needed to get the work done, they refered me to a great financing solution. No Xtra benefit except to help me get the work I needed done. Theyre fantastic.

So I was traveling on vacation from Michigan through Tennessee when my transmission gave suddenly gave out. It was 5pm on a Thursday. My girlfriend did a quick search of transmission repair and found transmission corporation of America. I called and explained the situation to Mike. He said that he was closing in 2 minutes but would stay open longer for us. I told him that I was 9 miles away and didnt know if my vehicle would make it. He said that if it didnt that he would give me a tow. My vehicle was able to make it. Mike then checked my transmission and told me that it needed to be rebuilt. I asked him how long that would take. He said that he could have it done on Monday. I told him that I needed to be to work on Monday and asked him if there was any way that he could get it done on Saturday. He said that because of my situation that he would make sure to get it done by noon on Saturday. I then said that I needed a way to get to a hotel. So Mike had us throw our things in the back of his truck and drove us to a hotel. The vehicle was done by 11am on Saturday and Mike had an employee come pick us up from the hotel and we were back on our way. This was about a month and half ago. The transmission is working great! Mike really took care of us and saved us when we were in a bad situation. Highly recommend! Thanks Mike and your crew!

But I have to say our experience at TCOA was amazing Michelle and Mike were great from the get go and extremely kind and considerate the entire time. I would definitely recommend them and their crew as your trans people and Transmission Corp. Of America as your trans shop go to place. Its hard these days with money so tight but they have options and will work with you. Trans work isnt cheap no matter where you go but with the options Mitchelle gave me made it very affordable. A/C went out while traveling, these folks worked with me to have me ready before I had to head back home.

Mike and Michelle at transmission corp of America were very friendly and most helpful in fixing my Audi all road, which turned out to be a problem child. The crew at the shop worked on the car for quite awhile before discovering the prior owner of the car had done some shady wiring, which caused the transmission problems, but thankfully they were able to correct the problem and get my car running like new again. Theyve also rebuilt a transmission for me in a 91 Corvette that performed flawlessly. I would highly recommend them.

Couldnt ask for better group to work with. I broke down nine hours from home. They got my vehicle in immediately to help me get home. Then drove me to a hotel. Came and picked me up, fed me while I sat waiting and even offered me his personal truck to drive while I was stuck. Great service. Great workCant say enough good things.

The manager, Mike, is what makes this shop so great! He’s available all the time, very communicative, and has THE BEST customer service. Super easy to work with, and very accommodating. He let me keep my car in his shop for four days for free while I figured out how I wanted to go about fixing the issue. He sent me pictures of the issues on my car so I would know he wasn’t taking advantage of my lack of knowledge. And he worked within my time frame to make sure I’d have my car back when I needed it. I plan to go back next time I need service, and I would highly recommend it!

Excellent service. On a road trip they took me as walkin diagnosed the issue, ordered parts, replaced them and had me on the road in 2 hours at a very reasonable price. I would use them regularly if I lived in Knoxville.

My husband was finding small drips of transmission fluid in our driveway & then took it here to see what was wrong. They were super nice & got him in right away. They spent about a half hour trying to see where it was coming from but couldn’t find anything. They said to keep an eye on it & if it happens again to bring it back, they had put some dye in it & it would show up. They charged NOTHING for that inspection. About a week or so later we found more drips so he took it back. This time they looked again & were able to see the dye & that it was just a loose bolt. When my husband asked how much to pay, Mike said not to worry about it....no charge! My husband offered to pay for their time spent twice & Mike wouldn’t take it. What an awesome guy! He & Michelle we’re really nice & if any work were ever needed they’d be the first place we’d go. So nice to find someone who’s not out to rip people off! Thanks Mike, we appreciate you 😊

From a former mechanics perspective, fantastic people to do business with. They were the last shop I called when I needed my wifes transmission replaced. She has a 2012 rogue, CVT trans. Notorious for having transmission problems. When I called and spoke with Mike, I told him I needed a quote on a new transmission. He asked me to bring it in for a free diagnosis before he would give me a quote. I immediately decided to do business with them, because they were the first to offer another solution, not just tell me itll be X amount. Even after the diagnosis, he still offered to repair it, knowing I was sweating about the cost. I still requested the whole new transmission. He and Michelle both offered me a ride, and went above and beyond. Service was fast, delivered on time, fairly priced, and was a genuinely stress free process from the get go with them. They are truly kind, generous people, who are not out just to scam the next person.

Transmission Corp was great with there service. Very quick I was able to call on my way in and tell them what was wrong with the truck. They ordered the parts and had a bay open waiting for me to pull into. This is very helpful when on a time crunch. Great service, I thought I was going to have to junk my 2001 Chrysler convertible! And after I had it checked out by transmissions of America and they told me the cost! I thought OH NO!! But Michelle said that they would work with me and they did!!! They were very patient and honest!!!! Mike was nice from the first time I called until they repaired my car good people and again honest!!! I would recommend to anyone!!!! Well I had to edit this things didn’t turn out!!! After paying 3,310 for rebuilt transmission!! No one told me strut was broken could have killed my self family members or friends that was in my car from time to time!! Turn out not good very sad!! ButIt will be ok!!!!

I DO NOT RECOMEND THIS SHOP. My husband and I went there to change transmission fluid and we were told that we have some issue and we need to leave the $861 deposit and wait 4 days to see what is exactly wrong. We declined and left the shop with the rattling noise under our car that was not there before!!!! Not only where we lied to (we then changed the fluid at Subary dealership and were told that transmission is perfectly fine and its still working by this day), but also left with one more thing to fix- this noise that apperently was the result of mechanics not putting all the bolts correctly back together.EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL AND DISSAPOINTING.My husband was a customer. And we did not pay for the free diagnostic, how would you have a record?The guy on a picture was the one talking to us, it was at the beginning of June.You might have forgotten us, but we will never.

I may be female but Im not vehicle ignorant. Put one can of r134a... charge 100$ and the compressor is leaking water all in my car now and no cold air. Thanks so much for nothing! Funny how they were the ones that replaced it 9 months ago... what a joke, warranty dont mean anything to this place.

So its been a minute since Ive been here but was kinda sketchy at first, and they gave me one price before arriving and another price when I got there.I asked if they change the filter and all and was told yes.Once I got the car back I had suspicion that the filter was not changed. There were no obvious I dunno marks they removed it.Had it done by another place this time, and they confirmed that it was obvious it wasnt done and charged me over 100$ more.

Our vehicle was in need of service. We stopped by for an inspection regards a noise our vehicle was making. We were welcomed by an awesome lady who assisted us with a huge smile. These people are really nice. I met Danny today who put new lug studs & lug nuts on my tires b/c they were in really bad shape & it wouldve been dangerous to drive on. He was genuine & a very sweet person! He took care of the problem right away! I recommend this place to anyone❣

Mike and his team are clearly in it for the customer. They do all types of service, stand by that work and go the extra mile to make certain the customer leaves satisfied. In my case Mike and his team were honest, which is rare in the service industry. My 2004 Ford Freestar was difficult to diagnose but Mike and his team did all they could short of pulling the transmission down, which I chose not to do based on the life already on the car. Mike and his team went above and beyond for me and this is only the second time I had my car serviced by his group. It wont be the last. I recommend Mike and his team for all automotive service needs.

So many car repair places will always try to get you to fix something that doesn’t need to be repaired, and you never know what kind of service you are going to get. They are absolutely magnificent! I thought my car was a lost cause and they basically performed a miracle! Michelle is very friendly and attentive, too! Definitely recommend this place!

These are the most honest friendly people ive ever met. They went above and beyond to help me out even came and took me to the grocery store while my car was in the shop! I would definitely recommend them if you need car repairs done.

Julie and the staff did an excellent job taking care of my transmission issues. Other than me setting up a time to have my vehicle towed to the shop, I had no other worries. Julie took care of handling the warranty company not to mention getting a manufactures update and recall taken care of while they had the vehicle. I also learned that they do more than just transmissions which is great to hear. I also enjoyed the fact that there was a follow up call a week later to make sure everything was done to my satisfaction. I will definitely use Transmission Corporation of America again should the need arise.

Up the street told me I needed transmission work @ $1000 + Turns out it was only a motor mount. Fixed @ $225 which included AC charge. Will most definitely use them again and highly recommend. Very honest and knowledgeable.

Friend needed work done on his car but wasnt sure what it needed exactly. They did a 2 part test to find out before quoting a price. They were also helpful by getting to it the next day.

Took my car to have a transmission problem checked, they required $685 plus tax up front to work on it stating it was for the rebuild. After 2 days they called back stating it would cost another 1400.00 to 3200.00 for the repair and that what I had paid already was just the diagnosis. I told them to put it back together and when I took it to the dealer I found out they had taken off the coolant overflow tank and never put it back so that cost me even more to have replaced. Do not go to this shop, they will tell you anything to get your money and rip you off.

Great and friendly service from top to bottom, I recently had to get work done on my car, being out of town on a work trip, this could not have happened at a worse time... I Googled near me mechanics and it suggested this shop, boy am I glad I did!!!! Had a issue with my car before I was able to drive off but Mike(my best friend abroad & a great mechanic) assured me that he would have the issue fixed in time for me to take my only off day and go back to Alabama 300 miles away! Upon my return he offered to take me to Neylan stadium for a view, it was amazing ( but Im still screaming GO BUCKEYES!!lol) thanks so much for the expertise and friendly service! Knock out for sure!!!!!

I was traveling from Ohio to North Carolina and my engine light came on. I stopped and asked some gentleman at a gas station where a mechanic was and they directed me to them. Julie was very professional and immediatly ( and I mean right away even though they had a back up of cars in the bays) checked the code on my car. She said it was nothing to worry about and reset the code. She didnt even charge me! I highly recommend them for all your cars needs.

They kept some of our parts then charged us 650.00 to look at it and then wanted 5000.00 for a rebuilt transmission.... NOT THE WAY TO DO BUSINESS and they say they are endorsed by Dave Ramsey not after Im done we got our transmission fixed only cost 1,400. To fix it I might be a female but Im not stupid

I am so thankful I found this shop they really take pride in there service and are the most friendly people Ive met! I will be a life long customer from now on
