I bought TWO new vehicles here and I had VERY good service from the salesmen and the finance department! I CANNOT say the same for the service department! The only services they did okay with were the first few times we took the truck in for service and the recalls we had on both vehicles. We went in yesterday looking for a USED 4x4 truck. The KID and that is a loose complement DID NOT WANT to talk to us about trucks; HE SURE WANTED US TO BUY an suv. We said thanks and left. There will not be another trip there again- thanks for the memories.

I bought a new 2021 Camry XLE the first week in May, gave a $500 deposit, was provided a sales sheet with the VIN number and was told the car would be delivered in a week or so. Two weeks later, I checked and still no car. I was told they will check with Toyota to find out status. Another two weeks pass and no car, same story. I go to dealer the end of June, 8 weeks now, and was told it should be delivered in a day or two. After that meeting I called the regional office in Ohio, provided the distribution office with the VIN number, and they told me the car was delivered in April, yes April, one month before they sold it to me, to Rusty Wallace Toyota where it was sold. The salesman, manager, and general manager, all lied to me about the car being delivered and deceived me for two months. All they had to say was we are in the business of selling cars. Apparently, honesty and being truthful is not part of their motto. I got my $500 back, went down the street and bought a Honda Accord. I have owned Toyota Camrys since 1983. That is why people do not like dealing with car salesman. They just dont care

Recently sold the mustang I bought from these guys after repairs were made only to find out they didn’t even have the title to the car! Took them a month before the title was even located and sent. Which raised the ten day payoff tried letting another dealer handle it but every time they’d call they’d get ignored basically dodging the call. So I had to call them every week sometimes more then once a week don’t waste your time with them.

We bought a $50K new Highlander. Sales department was very nice to work with. However, we also pre-paid for the reoccurring maintenance plan. We scheduled our first oil change for a Thursday morning at 9:20am. After my wife arrived, she checked in her car and waited....and waited....and waited. She inquired about the status of the car multiple times. Each time the person said it will be a while there are allot of other cars ahead of hers. Finally, after 3 1/2 hours the car was done. This is ridiculous. What is the point of an appointment if you cant respect the time a customer takes to bring you their car? Then to top it off, half way home her glove box door came open and now it will not close. I assume they checked the in cabin air filter and did something to misalign the door. I am very disappointed and would take this into consideration when you buy your vehicle or have it serviced by Toyota Knoxville.

It’s great to buy a vehicle here and have your salesperson, Austin, and his manager, Dalton, not follow through on a single thing they promised during the sale. It’s been over a month and even after nonstop phone calls and multiple stops into the dealership, they can’t be bothered to complete the simple tasks they offered to complete (including the detail they allowed the car to leave the lot without). That’s okay. We will be going elsewhere to buy our next vehicle in a couple of weeks. Hope that one commission was worth it when you could’ve made 2.

If you need your Toyota serviced, be prepared for a lengthy wait, poor service, and lies. I have had my 4Runner serviced at Toyota Knoxville since I purchased it nearly two years ago and every visit is a hassle.I only need basic maintenance and have made an appointment each time, though I am often left waiting in excess of two hours, after being told the wait will only be around one hour. Previously, I’ve asked for the technicians to not top off my windshield washer fluid, to which they did anyway, even after admitting to having read the ticket and still topped it off. At that visit, I was told by the service coordinator Shannon, that the service manager Michelle would be in contact with me to arrange when I could bring my truck back in to have the fluid drained and replaced with my desired, more quality, fluid. No contact was ever made, even after I made attempts to contact them.Today, however, was my breaking point. I arrived ten minutes early to my scheduled appointment and found a line of over 20 cars flooding out of the service bays. After 15 minutes, I had only moved one car up in line, so I decided to call the service desk to inquire about the delay and wait times due to the fact that I had to have my special needs toddler to an appointment three hours from then. Carol was quick to rudely repeat her lack of knowledge on the wait times and refused to get further assistance, saying that I could only be helped once I was checked in after the 20 cars in front of me. I was then ushered into one of the bay’s lines by a man that I attempted to ask similar questions and only received “I don’t know, we are obviously busy” as a response before he walked away. Finally, John checked me in and informed me that I am “looking at probably three hours on the wait” for my simple oil change and tire rotation. I asked him why I even bothered to make an appointment if they take this many walk-ins and he simply said “I don’t know, I’m sorry.” I do appreciate John being kind and truthful with me, as he was the only one to do so this morning. I explained to him my conflict with my son’s appointment in three hours and how I am required to pay the $300/hour for his therapy whether or not we attend or miss his appointment and asked if it was guaranteed if we could be out of there in time and he said he was unable to make that promise and then kindly helped me back out do the line of cars so I could leave.I then went down the road to have my oil changed to the tune of $93 (and only 20 minutes) and, honestly, it was money well spent to not have to deal with the horrendous headache that Toyota Knoxville causes, though still frustrating to pay money for something that I originally didn’t need to. I am dreading having the recall performed on my truck by this business. Not only do I dread the time I will have to spend there, seeing as appointments are absolutely pointless for even routine maintenance, but also for the fear of total ineptitude of most of the staff, technicians, and managers at this dealership and service center.

As a rule of thumb you should always expect to be ripped off by car dealerships, but that is especially true for Toyota of Knoxville. After test driving one of the cars on their lot I decided to do some research on the vehicle and found it to be overpriced by about $3k. I contacted the salesman and offered what I thought was fair. He ran my credit and supposedly took my offer to his manager before sending me a text saying, “we have a deal.”When I showed up at the dealership the salesman sheepishly put paperwork in front of me that reflected the original price. He did not have an answer for why we were lied to over text. After going back-and-forth with several different employees and a manager we were offered sticker price and told we could take it or leave it. We left it.

I am disappointed that this Toyota Dealership does not have a cohesive customer care programme, a system where the service xfolns are more actively involved with the upkeep and maintenance of the Toyotas that are brought in to their shop. If they did, customers could receive texts or automated calls reminding them of scheduled service providing a phone number and name of their assigned rep to call if questions or to schedule . Mist of The service personnel Ive dealt with there seen to have a rather lackadaisical attitude about continuity of care, which is detrimental to that department, to customer relations, to customer feelings and to the companys overall income. I will say Ive met two service personnel at Toyota of Knoxville (TK) who seemed relatively well-versed in customer care; unfortunately I dont have the name of a gent who handled my last scheduled service visit ; however, he did have a grasp of helping me understand some issues associated with continuity of care for my Prius; but then the request I made about my bike for personnel NOT to move it At All, was not followed. The bike is custom built, has been recustomized several times, and cant be replaced for less than $5K. It lives in the back of my Prius. The gearing is specialized and would cost money I cant afford to spend to have it fixed. So Ill put a giant sign on the bike next time I have the Prius there, not to move it.Lastly, yesterday, I did speak on the phone with a gentleman there in Service regarding, among other questions, the availability to me of an extended warranty to cover at least some maintenance and parts, etc. He ( my notes are out in the car, but I think he said his name is Shawn - had worked elsewhere selling extended warranties for some time in the past and gave me solid advice, also said I should talk with Finance personnel right then about understanding just what sort they could offer me. He transferred my call to that department, I waited a bit, then had to leave a voicemail requesting help with my query; the message said theyd call me back at their earliest convenience - NOT a very professional response from a department that ostensibly makes its money by selling such things as extended warranties - and its been now over 24 hours, without a return call yetThis dealership should pay Shawn ( since hes the main one I met who understands something about cohesive care for customers who want the best treatment for themselves and for their vehicle--) COMMISSIONS for turning customers over to theFinance department, and THAT department needs to respond as if their paychecks depend upon their sure handling of customer relations and customer needs and seeing to offering them the best.I already reviewed TK once in detail like this, but never heard back, there was no response from anyone there, nothing changed, its still thematically lackadaisical, so I probably WONT go to this sort of trouble again...Id rather be riding my bike, etc. Heres the last thing : Larry Miller Toyota in Albuquerque NM (TA) would be a great mentor, if TK wanted to send staff there who could study their methods of consistency and continuity of care, staff who are well aware of how their company gets paid, who care about their customers like they are related, and who know how to put to the best accurate use ALL the tools they have available now, BUT then, and heres the rub - Toyota KNOXVILLE(TK) admin needs to HEED and respond to THEIR EMPLOYEES AND ASSOCIATES SUGGESTIONS AND ADVICE AND to LISTEN also and respond to their customers interests and queries and ideas for improvement . Its almost as though TK has other interests and everybodys just sort of treading water there will they can leave for the day. Whats up with that sort of attitude? You wouldnt be anywhere without your customers. If I dont hear back firm anyone at TK, Ill know not to spend anymore if my free time reviewing their services. My time is very valuable to me, even if TK employees dont care much about CCC: Cohesive Customer Care.

I had to come in for an airbag recall, and this experience was a great reminder why I never go to the dealer for maintenance service.I was greeted by a rude, abrasive blonde woman when I first pulled up to the service station. Then, I was approached by a different man who came to my car without wearing a mask and said he forgot it. Okay, buddy, you forgot? Weve only been doing this for nearly a year now. Not sure I trust you with my car if you havent even picked up the mask thing yet. 🙄Then, he told me to go to his office -- a closed, confined space where we couldnt socially distance. I waited outside his office until I had to go in.Most of the mechanics in the service area and several employees inside did not wear masks. The seating in the waiting area was not distanced, masks were not encouraged or required and several customers sat without wearing one. No one ever came through to clean periodically as customers came/left (Im still here and have been waiting for about 1.5 hours). Many employees would walk through without wearing masks or wearing their mask incorrectly. (Again, you expect me to trust you with my car when your employees still havent learned how to wear a mask correctly...?) I would have waited outside if it wasnt raining.I guess thank you, Toyota, for fixing my airbag, but I would have appreciated consistency in your claims of concern for my safety.I would not recommend anything other than avoiding this establishment.

Added to our bad experiences on 4/5/2021It just gets better, gave the dealership a second chance whenever the inventory manager called and apologized. Told I would deal with him if he could make it right from here on so gave a second chance to the dealership. I try to call the day we are to meet to purchase a 4Runner from him and he doesn’t answer so I go show up and he’s not even there. Oh it gets even better, go to give our first bath to the 4Runner a week ago and paint comes off the front bumper. Take it to Michael the service manager and tells me I’ll owe over $700 to fix it and it’s not covered under the paint warranty. He says a paint chip is what caused this. I’m on the phone with Toyota of North America as we speak and will let them know about how my experience has been with everyone and I can say I’m so done with this dealership and will never do business with them again. I spend $120,000 on a Supra and 4Runner and basically get the middle finger from them. Stay away from this place! They don’t honor warranty and come up with reasons to not help. Paint on a brand new 4Runner that clearly has never hit anything or had any damage shouldn’t be chipping. Haven’t even made the first payment on it. I’ll make sure if anyone asks they know to go elsewhereSupra Experience:We bought a Toyota Supra and everything was perfect with the buying experience until after our money was taken. We would message our salesman for questions on stuff as a wrong tag being added to no reply, free window tint as being part of our deal to once again no reply. Today a random customer of theirs messages my wife asking info on our old Jeep meaning our privacy has been violated and someone is now messaging my wife which is the salesman job to sale a vehicle. I then message the dealership and told they’ll get a manager to handle it, there is nothing to handle. The deed has been done already and a stranger is now messaging my wife with questions. Was given an appointment for an emergency problem thinking it was my tire being the problem but turned out to be much worse!! My car had to stay a couple more days, because of parts having to be shipped to the dealership. Was repaired and I’m grateful that the service tech listening to my description of what was going on. I know NOTHING ABOUT A CAR!! Was extremely satisfied with the work they did. It’s great knowing the service department listen and I can relax knowing my car is in GREAT hands!!! THANK YO!

Why does the owner only respond to positive reviews? I am looking to buy a car and the reviews are something I always read before considering a purchase. Negative reviews should be addressed before positive reviews.

Would not recommend this dealership. My niece went to this place to see about buying a car a few days ago. After some paperwork was done they told her she needed a co-signer. Since I have pretty good credit I decided to co-sign for her. After going through the approval process she gets a call from the approval dept telling her she was approved for the car she wanted. The salesman she was dealing with told her he had all the paperwork done, all we needed to do was come in and sign them. We went in to sign the paperwork just to find out, the car she wanted, she couldnt get. They said it had to do with something with the booking, whatever that means, and showed her another car similar to the first one. After looking at it we were td we had to go through the approval process again because we was never approved the first time around and they were having trouble with the bank because mine and her addresses were different. We are uncle and niece so therefore we do not live in the same house hold. So to make a long story short all we got was the run around and wasted our time by driving from Pigeon Forge to Knoxville.

I bought ToyotaCare or whatever they call the warranty that covers a lot more repairs and maintenance as well as free oil changes and tire rotations, etc. Its not worth it purely because routine service, even with an appointment, takes way too long here. I shouldnt have to arrange dropoff and pickup every time I get an oil change in order to not have to wait for hours when I have an appointment. But if I dont get this service done at Toyota, I have to pay for it and maintain the records so that I dont void the extra warranty (so I can prove I kept up maintenance). The service quality has only been routine so far, and fine, for my 2020 van. But the wait times are not reasonable.

They failed to service my brakes correctly which led to them failing while stopping at the light down the road. They barely worked well enough to stop. Their verbal apology was weak and they offered was a discount on my next visit. Some Sorry

Exceptional customer service all the way around. Especially in my dealings with Steve Malone. He came very highly recommended by someone I trust and not one time did he make me feel as if he had any other customers. The man kept me informed to the point that my mind was at ease while my car was being repaired. Only shop I’ll utilize in the future. Thanks Mr. Malone & Toyota of Knoxville!

Have dealt with them multiple times this year. Vann Vestal did a great job the first time. Couple other experiences with Chad Shelton and Andy Bolt. Even had a issue with a new vehicle which they made right. Won’t go into details. I would recommend. Ask for Chad or Vann and they’ll take care of you.

My service took all day due to the recall that had to be done. Toyota of Knoxville has a free shuttle and they took us over to the mall and picked us up later in the day. My service advisor Quinton was an absolute professional in every way. Thanks for the great work and making the day as easy as possible !

The lack of communication between departments, to their customers and the unwillingness to help their customers at this dealership makes me wonder how they have stayed in business as long as they have. The one star is for the salesman, Todd, who was the only one who would return phone calls when he said he would. The service writer, Shannon, tried to lie to me regarding another Toyota dealer. I left Joe multiple voicemails for a return call after I was told he would call me back that evening only to never receive any return calls period. The 30 day used car warranty is useless when it comes to major issues. Their techs claim the issues can’t be found but another Toyota dealer found them and documented them. Andy’s solution to my vehicle problem was to buy their extended car warranty. What good is that since you don’t even honor your 30 day warranty? Everyone I spoke with tried to pass me off to someone else. I will tell anyone and everyone never to do business with this dealer.

Im disappointed with my experience with this dealership. Once you buy a car from here they wont care about you as a customer afterwards! I bought a brand new Toyota Corolla and the car is amazing. However, after weeks went by I still hadnt received my car tags. I waited over a month and still didnt received them. Then I started to noticed how my temporary tags were soon to expired. I had to contact the dealership to ask them why I have not received my tags yet. They explained to me that it just takes a while and they cant help it. That I will have to go in and get another temporary tag or hope that it comes in before my tags expire the next day. Then the next day the car tags magically arrive when I got to pick them up after work. I do find it quite odd that they arrived right when I complain and called them about it. I ask the women on why they dont mail the tags because ever dealership I have ever bought a car from mails the tags but apparently not this one. Therefore, I had to take time out of my very busy week to pick up tags that should had been mailed to me before my temporary expires. Thankfully, I called them before it expired or I would had not got my tag and probably would had gotten pulled over due to their unprofessional mistake.
