I thought my sunglasses were beyond repair after I sat on them, but Carmela saved the day! What was just a quick trip in and out of the store turned out to be an incredibly pleasant experience because of the warm and helpful staff. I’d highly recommend this LensCrafters location to anyone!

Stopped by the Kingston, NY store for some eye glass cleaner and lens wipes.Staff greeted me warmly as I entered the store and gave me immediate attention. They even offered to clean my glasses while I was there, a most unexpected courtesy. The staff was friendly and very helpful in answering a couple questions I had.Their excellent customer service will make sure I use the Kingston LensCrafters for my next eye exam and glasses purchase.

I have been a customer Kingston LensCrafters for years. The store manager Lydia goes above and beyond for her customers and has always made it a great experience. I hope LensCrafters realizes what a asset she is to the store and company.

Probably because I am a foreigner, as they could tell from my accent, this store took advantage of me: I went for a visit, I asked NOT to be signed up for their newsletters, and of course few days later I started being bombarded with emails. Every day I have to unsuscribe myself and the next day I keep receiving emails. So I called the store which suscribed me without my permission and asked for help and the associated hanged up on me twice (the first time even without letting me explain the issue in full, as they kept interrupting me). This is they said they could not do anything. First they do something I did not give them permission to, then they do not give you any help to solve an issue they created, making me waste even more time to fix their poor choices.

Really thorough exam and Dr provided detailed and informative explanation of the exam results. I learned a lot! Attentive and helpful staff all around. A very pleasant experience.

Lens crafters lab messed up and the store left me struggling to fix the issue with out their assistance for months until today. Lydia the manager reached out and went above and beyond to fix the issue. As of today I never dealt with her and I am so glad she called. She is a true asset and we now feel comfortable again with being their customer.

I wish I could say that I had an experience past the lobby of this place, but I didnt even get that far. Apparently they cant book an appointment properly which I think is irresponsible when dealing with a persons vision. Booked an appointment and arrived on time on the appropriate day only to be told that I wasnt schedule for that time OR in their system at all. I confirmed with the front desk that the number I called was for the appropriate location and I even called twice to confirm certain details. So Im not sure where my information went, but I took my business elsewhere. Im sure the doctors are fine and wonderful, but just be aware that you might not get the appointment youre actually scheduled for.

My eyeglasses were completely twisted. The technician at LensCrafters worked for 15-20 minutes and restored the frame to its original shape. She did a great job and didn’t charge me.

This was my first experience at Lenscrafters and satisfied does not describe the feeling. Erika and Dr.Brown are simply wonderful. Thorough, informative, personable. Doesnt get much better. Dr. Brown even gives terrific facts about the parts of the eye as hes going over your scan. Highly recommend.

I bought a pair of glasses from here in March of 2019. I had to return the next day, because the prescription wasnt right. A week later I got them back and within 3 days the lens on my right eye fell right out ! Two years later, the lens on the right eye developed a streak going across the whole lens. I contacted the store to get the lens replaced and was told I would have to purchase a new pair. Very unprofessional and crooked !

We have been going to this Lens Crafters for many years and have always been highly satisfied. Over the last few years we have dealt directly with the store Manager Lydia. She is excellent! Always ready to help in anyway she can. She has assisted us with every aspect of our visit. Cannot thank her enough for all her continued help whenever we visit the store. Ive been wearing glasses and contacts for over 35 years. I cant recall ever having a better eye exam experience anywhere. Dr. Brown was excellent, very informative, and took the extra step to make sure I got the best prescription for my contacts. The rest of the staff were excellent as well!

Bringing my prescription into this LensCrafters got me the best pair of glasses Ive ever owned. The employees cared deeply about their quality of work and the satisfaction of their customers. Im am not one to typically review stores, but the quality of service I received from Lance Brown merits public appreciation. The perfectly calibrated pair of specs I left the store with can only be attributed to the skill and patience of Lance. By simply being his customer, I learned the value of matching work ethic, skill, and passion for ones profession. I had no idea what a well-fitted pair of glasses felt like before he provided me a truly EYE OPENING pair and would recommend this store to anyone with any need of vision correction.

Technically superb, great eye doc (McKinney), and the doctors assistant was a really nice, friendly, and professional young woman. I had to return tonight to get my PD which was not on my prescription. Because I had been told my the staff at the time of my eye exam, that my prescription would take 3 weeks to make, I wanted to make a fast pair of reading glasses so I wouldnt be without glasses for that long a time. I planned to then go back to Lenscrafters to take the time to decide on the frames, options, etc. and not be pressured by not having any glasses in the meantime. I wanted to have my glasses made at Lenscrafters because of the impressive, top-notch technology and equipment that was used during my exam, as well as the thorough and caring medical treatment I had received from the doctor. So, tonight, I told the manager my plan to get some reading glasses quickly and then return to Lenscrafters to pick out my long term frames and glasses. I asked for my PD and was treated as if I was stealing. I was humiliated and lectured. I now have learned that some places will not give you a PD after an exam unless you get frames from them. But, this wasnt even a thought of mine. Perhaps it was a rotten day for the manager, but I didnt need to be spoken down to and demeaned.

Good service but if youre a guy looking for any fashionable frames other than ray ban look elsewhere.

No doctor, so if you dont arrive with a current rx, you are out of luck. Nearest lens crafters still full service is albany or Poughkeepsie.

Im not one to add a review of near anything, but I would like to post my thoughts on the skills and services of Lance N Brown, an optometrist at the Lenscrafters in the Hudson Valley Mall in Kingston, NY (Store #869). Twice now, Mr Brown has been able to fix a mis-framed pair of eye-glasses efficiently and with great skill, delivering both comfort and exact style, in a way I had not thought possible. During my last visit, despite being the only optometrist available at the time, and not even buying a pair of frames at the store(!), Lance gave me prompt, personal, and exceptional service. Ive been to frame stores across NYC and beyond but I will always make a point to visit this Lenscrafters because the level of service -- both in quality and in pleasantness of experience -- has been exceptional, and worth noting. Its rare to find someone who knows their craft so well, even more rare that they are kind, patient, and selfless with their time. I recommend this store, and in particular Lance Brown, very highly.

Horrible. I went there so many times trying to work it out. First, I try glasses on and the fit perfect. After they put my prescription on the glasses, the glasses are loose and they tell me that they cant make the glasses tighter because my prescription makes the lenses thicker. . . Even though I PAID EXTRA to have thin lenses. Then they misplaced my contatcs order like three times and one of contacts I cant see well. Now Iam stuck with glasses that fall of my face and contacts that work in one eye and not the other one. OH and I madd $500+

Dr. McKinney is an amazing optometrist; the Lenscrafters store, however, is very expensive.
