I should have listened to my instincts and left before even seeing the eye doctor but I didnt. Trying my best to only say nice things about people, the ONLY nice thing I can say is Christine in the front was the only personable one there who wasnt abrasive and actually tried to help. I felt pressured to purchase and rushed through like cattle. Visionworks is not a place Ill be returning to or recommending.

I am sitting in the parking lot of this business right now. This is my fourth total visit to this store. The first two were amazing when I was spending well over a thousand dollars for my glasses and my sons glasses.The third visit was great as well, I had stopped in because a lens had popped out of my glasses and a needed one screw tightened. At this visit I had attempted to buy an eye glass repair kit but the girl that fixed my glasses said not to bother, just stop in if it happens again and they would take care of it for me. Great experience.Well it happened again several months later, and as instructed I stopped in. First I was told that I needed an appointment in the future to have a single screw tightened, but that they would do it, and was directed to a seat. Apparently I sat in the seat opposite of the one that I was supposed to sit in (they were right across from each other) as I was rudely informed by Joelle, an obstetrician at the business. Joelle seemed to have quite the attitude, and I couldn’t understand why it was a big deal what seat I was in as it was going to be one twist of the screw driver and I would be done. I told Joelle I didn’t understand why it mattered. She said it was because her tools were right there (the tools were in the middle of the island equal distance from both seats) and that the other girl had pulled out the other chair for me that I didn’t pay attention to.At this point I said I would gladly buy an eye glass repair kit and do it myself. Joelle said they didn’t have any available but she would gladly do it for me and she didn’t understand what my attitude was about. I handed the glasses to her and she made two twists with a screwdriver while I was standing at the front desk. She was also standing, so clearly neither chair mattered. I informed Joelle that I do not spend the money I spend at that store to be spoken to like she had spoken to me. She told me those were the policies there and he she was sorry if I didn’t like them.I won’t be back, disgusting treatment of a customer in my opinion. I felt like I was treated as an inconvenience.

WOW!!!! What a wonderful experience I had here. From the moment I walked in the door, the receptionist(dont remember her name, but my appointment was 10-22 at 5:40 was wonderful, very friendly and professional. Then I met Brittany, the store manager who could not have been more helpful, patient, professional. Brittany walked me through the virtual exam. I had Tiffany as my virtual tech ( I guess is what you would call her) she did my refraction testing. Tiffany was wonderful and I learned later was fairly new, but you would have never known that. She was fantastic, professional and very patient. Then finally Dr. Paul (virtually as well). Dr. Paul was wonderful, explained my vision changes, showed me a picture of my eye, explained everything to me. All and all probably the best experience I have had getting glasses in over 30 years.

Did you know your eyes dont need dilation at Visionworks? I had their digital exam, and it was awesome. Your eyes are scanned and images sent to a doctor. Another remotely controls the lens machine youknow, is 1 or 2 better. Both doctors are on a screen, and they can see you too. Give them a call and schedule an appointment. It was the first time I could see after the exam. And the team there are professional. AWESOME!

Appointment got canceled day before my appointment because I didnt provide insurance information for insurance I dont even have (doing self pay) ...now expect for me to wait 3 weeks for a new appt when I alrdy waited 2 weeks....what a waste of time and poor business practice.

I loved the Dr. Here. She took the time to make sure my prescription was best and we even spoke about different contact options even though I was only there for a glasses prescription. One gentleman helped guide me around finding new frames without my glasses on. I love the text reminders. Really made my forgetful self way more organized.

The staff and overall service is very good. I would like to compliment the Dr. who Did my exam. I have been going to empire for a number of years and have yet to be as impressed with the obvious knowledge and professional along with pleasant attitude she shows. TY.

I love VisionWorks in Rome, NY. Tina is amazing and offers exceptional service. She is accommodating and helpful as well as knowledgeable. I come back to the store because of her.

Customer service is horrendous. Went to pick up my glasses and they handed them to me and that was it. I have been to other eye places before and was measured and checked to see if everything fit right and sat on my face properly. I was basically treated like I was an inconvenience to them. Also, still cant see anything when trying to read. So now I have to pay even more money to get an eye exam and glasses somewhere else, where they actually know what they are doing.

I was new to this office as my doctor was a new employee to Visionworks. As I love my doctor, I decided to choose Visionworks as my new office. Sadly, I never got the opportunity to visit the office. I had an appt scheduled for 7/9, at 12Pm. The previous Sunday (7/7) I received and automated text message, asking to reply “y” to confirm appt. Not only did I confirm via text message, but when I called to setup my appt, I got my insurance information all set up and was advised what to do when I come in to visit. I called at 9AM the day of my appt to inquire on a couple of things. The associate advised, “oops looks like we cancelled your appt.” Confused, I replied no I have an appt at 12PM today. She advised that they had called me earlier this week to confirm my appt, and since I didn’t answer the call, they cancelled my appt. Not only was I out of town until Sunday evening, but they also call from an out of area telephone number. Because I didn’t answer a phone call they take it upon themselves to cancel my appt? She advise they called me the day before my appt also to confirm (7/8) and since I did not call before 5PM, they cancelled and filled my appt with somebody else. I asked how could they fill my appt from 5pm the day prior to 9am the following day. I pleaded with her if there was anything I could do as I had the day off from work and has planned my day around this appt. The associate was not the least bit empathetic and kept cutting me off mocking me. I was so disgusted I told her I would not like to reschedule anymore, as customer centricty is not a concern to you. I called the complaints dept soon after the phone call. This is an extremely difficult office to deal with, and it’s apparent each patient is just a number to them. I’m sad to be leaving Dr. Panzone, but I cannot deal with an office such as Visionworks. Such a disappointment.

Sign on door says you take walk ins!!!! Extremely dissapointed!!!!! Came in as a walk in today with my son, was told need to schedule appointment, booked right up today. I said ok when would be good to come back and I was told sometime in May. You just lost to customers as me and my son usually get our glasses here.

They do not even deserve one star!!! After going to the Oneida Visionworks, I got to see just how much the Rome office ripped me off! What used to be at least a $300 - 400+ visit for just me became a $300 visit for both my daughter & myself in Oneida. I am beyond ticked off & will never go to the Rome Store again!
