The service was exceptional. The owner has been there 12 years. And his customer service was warm and quick. He got answers to have work done and availability quickly. He estimated perfectly...no surprise charges. The mechanic/s did a fine job. He/they replaced radiator and did work that is associated with replacement. Horrible experience with the owner overcharging me for a job that was estimated for much lesser at other shops. I have ask for an estimation from other shops and from Easthill auto services before deciding to go with East hill auto. I had a leak with the gasket seal and a clonking sound on driver side in which I specifically told owner what I thought was making the sound and that I want to get the gasket seal fix. Scheduled and took the car in owner was not there so I spoke with the shop worker there to ask him if the owner had left specific notes on what I was asking to get done, shop worker said yes there is notes.. But, I didnt feel comfortable So I ask the shop worker if they charge for inspection. Shop worker said if I decide to get my car fix with them that there would be no charge...Thinking that I will be getting my gasket replace I decided to leave my car to get it fix. I got a phone call later and they told me that it would cost me double the price of what I was quoted for in the first place....not only that they told me that the sound was comming from my axle? The axle had been replaced?!!!! Well I decided not to get my car fix there...so they decided to charged me $130 for an inspection that was not even a thorough inspection and they were wrong. I had a friend who helped me out and went underneath the car to look at the exhaust pipe ( that was what I had told them, if you dont tell them specific places to check they will point out falsely other areas and charge you an arm and a leg).low and behold the hinge was lose. He took it out and the sound is gone!..East hill auto is not an honest place to take your car to...Please BEWARE!!!!!

I have not always had good experiences in auto shops - being a woman not well versed in cars or tech I have seen huge price differences when i first walk in, compared to when I walk in with a male friend or my father. BUT, with Rommel it was instant honesty, transparency, trust, concern, skill, and kindness on his part! He explains why something needs repair, explains pros and cons of different quality parts based on my needs financially or safety wise, and makes it easy to connect. He is proud of his business and has old school values of integrity and community support - something his employees share. He even gifted me with some routine work after hearing about my wedding day coming up! Such a surprise and kindness that (along with all the past proof of skill and transparency) makes my husband and I loyal customers for life!

Posting on my wife’s account but We brought our truck here for a second opinion and estimate. The estimate was much more fair than our initial and the work was done within the time frame Romel said it would be done by. He did run into an issue with the ebrake that wasnt noticed on his initial inspection but he called and explained what he ran into which was both reasonable and sensible and ultimately still cheaper to correct then what the other shop claimed as needing to be immediately repaired (which turns out it didnt). Wanted to give it a few days of driving before this review and the truck is driving great, I will be back for any future work while in the area.

Ive always had a hard time recommending auto shops to friends and family because if something goes wrong with an auto repair it turns into a nightmare, this shop I have no reservations sending friends and family their way. Im never taking my car anywhere else after this!Ive had bad experiences at big name places, where I always walk away feeling like I was overcharged or pressured into paying for something my car didnt need. Not so at East Hill Auto Services. The staff here is courteous and knowledgeable, always explaining what theyre doing and giving a great value for the service. I feel I can trust them, and Ill be back the next time my car needs servicing.There is a fee for credit/debit transactions, which they informed me of before it was time to pay, so stop by an ATM and pay on cash if you can. You wont get a better deal anywhere else!

Romel was caring, thoughtful, paid attention to detail and the team displayed examples of critical thinking when faced with a head scratcher on my pregnant daughters car. We felt we received a very fair price estimate and they stuck to their word regarding costs. Excellent communication and follow through as well. We could not have been more pleased really, it was a positive experience across the board. And my daughter gained a local mechanic! Not to mention, the car is doing great!

My family knows Rommel personally and he tried to act like he did not know us. My wife took our car in and he told her that the services we requested would take an hour. 6 hours later I had to call my family member to talk with him because she had been walking around Kent waiting for them to fix it. He was going to charge us full price too! Fortunately after that call he decided that he did know us and would take care of us. Too little too late. I am very disappointed in the service provided. I dont know if the services would have been done in the same day if I did not have that connection. If this is how he treats connections, I dont want to know how he treats other customers.

I am a delivery driver.I average more than 2,000 miles a month.Needless to say, I am in need of a good mechanic.I am not just looking for a shop that can do the occasional work on my vehicles. I am looking for a relationship. Experts than can keep my vehicles healthy because my vehicles are my livelihood.I have tried multiple shops in and around the Kent area and my experiences have been frustrating, infuriating, and costly.Until I found Rommel at East Hill Auto Service.The one word I would use to describe Rommel is.... Trustworthy.And to me, trust is everything when it comes to an auto shop. Trust that they are competent. I am a single mother and a full-time student. I had a stressful breakdown situation and decided to take my vehicle to Rommels shop. I remembered him from a day that I had taken a walk with my son and was window shopping. That day Rommel was slammed with customers but still took the time to talk with us and let me know about him and his shop. That made me feel like I could trust him, so when I broke down, that is where we went. I definitely made the right choice. While they diagnosed my vehicle one of his amazing staff members helped us out in the lobby. Rommel helped me find a way to make it affordable. When he found out that I lived nearby and had no way home while they fixed it, he gave us a lift home. This place is booming with business due to efficiency, likability of the staff, and affordability. I dont think they need my recommendation but I am so appreciative I wanted to be sure to give it. Kind of pricey. They charge by computer estimates and not by the actual time repairs take but they get the job done quick and efficiently.

Took a vehicle in for a buyers inspection. Rommel and his team fit me in the same day, gave me a list of items to negotiate with the dealership, and was 1/2 the price of some shops. Very honest shop! If I didnt live far away, this would be my go to mechanic!

Awesome shop! I had to get some sway bar links replaced, and they got it done quickly, and at a reasonable price (other local mechanics wanted almost $300 for the same job). The car is now rock steady. When I get the money budgeted for it, Ill go to them to get the water pump worked on as well.

Recently purchased a used vehicle that needed work done on the lighting. I asked them to fix my high beam headlights, replace the serpentine belt and tensioner, and replace the hvac control lighting. They quoted me nearly $650 for the job since they said they needed to splice in new wiring since the high beam pig tails were missing. They call me at the end of the day saying it’s ready but tell me they couldn’t repair the hvac lighting since they claimed the whole unit needed to be replaced. I was disappointed but not a big deal. Until I go outside and notice they broke one of my ac knobs off and one of my high beam lights didn’t even come on as well as the low beam light no longer worked. I couldn’t believe these people expected to get away with Charging me that much for their poor quality of work. The belt and tensioner atleast seemed to be done correctly. They attempted to fix the lighting in the parking lot but refused to stay open past closing and told me to come back the following Monday. Very unprofessional. I came back Monday and while they fixed my broken ac knob, sure enough a few hours later I noticed my low beam headlight was out of place again. I drove back furious. The shop owner told me I needed a new assembly since it keeps slipping out of the socket. He neglected to mention this earlier. I told him I expected the vehicle to be fixed properly for the price I payed and that this was unacceptable. He said he would search around for a new assembly from a junkyard. Called me back the next day saying he was unable to find one and said I need a new one. I told him unless he was going to be fixing it for free then I will take it to a shop that I can trust to not break it. He rudely said good luck and hung up. I also expect a more competent shop can repair my hvac lights without replacing the whole unit. Never going back there again.

Wow - these guys are my heroes!! My boyfriend and I are road tripping in our camper van from CO to Vancouver, and unfortunately broke down Friday night (harmonic balancer literally broke in half and the ring went flying). East Hill was one of the only shops within 2 hours of us that was open on a Saturday. We had the van towed to their shop, and they immediately got to work. They called 3 different places to find the part we needed and did what should have been 3 hours of work in 2 hours just to get us back on the road in time. Rommel was one of the best, friendliest and most genuine mechanics either of us have ever had. We joked with him that we wish he’d move to CO so he could be our mechanic in the future. If you are looking for a mechanic on the road or live nearby - they are the best. Not only did they get us fixed up and back on the road, but they stand by their labor and parts with a 2-year warranty. Couldn’t recommend more highly - thank you Rommel and East Hill Auto!!!!!!!!!!

This place is garbage. They sent out a coupon for a $29.99 oil change in the Kent Reporter and since i have a Toyota Camry, a regular commuter car, i thought why not. Note that this car has always had good deals and is counted as the most cars and light trucks because its a basic car that normally requires minimum parts and services.I call in twice, once to ask how much the synthetic oil service will be as it said on the coupon synthetic is extra. The person on the phone goes on to say that synthetic is regular price at $69.99; this is not an extra charge you idiots. Second time i called i asked if they had an open time as i was just going to go with the blend and reconfirmed with me the the make and model and said sure bring it in.When i get there its a whole different stories. The guy starts telling me that my filter is going to be expensive for him so he cant give me the deal of 29.99. WHY DID YOU HAVE ME COME IN THEN?This was all a big waste of time because HE didnt want to honor a coupon that his wife had apparently put out and no one knew about.At this point the place looked like they would cut corners with anything they could, cheap out as much as possible to maximize profits, and the place was a mess and unclean. Glad i didnt go through with it. No respect for customers.

They are very honest of what is really going on with my car and they helped me saved a lot of money than Honda of Seattle. I live in West Seattle, but I would not mind commuting to Kent to have them work on my car. I found the right auto shop for me!

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. The absolute worst customer service from the owner. Also did not do the full service they promised but made me pay the full amount. DO NOT spend a dime here. They will scam you out of your money.

So I Took my 2009 Chevy impala, in for a routing oil change, and upon there courtesy multi point inspection,, found that I a severe tire wear,[ that I just purchased approx. 2 1/2 month prier ] and further check my steering components, showed and explained to me how bad component .affect my tires, they gave me a competitive est. And even offer a lift home,, so I didnt have to sit around the shop,, my time is valuable to me, My car was done in the amount of time that was requested by me, on my terms!!JOB WELL DONE ROMMEL AND TEAM,LIFE LONG CAR FAMILY THANKS!!

On Friday 07/11/14 my car Land Rover 1999 felt the emission test,I took my car to East Hill Auto Service they did an amazing job when I went to retest, my car PASSED. There is nothing more stressful than car trouble! I had my Honda CRV towed in to East Hill Auto Services in September of 2016 for repairs. They found it was a faulty alternator. They repaired my car and got me back on the road again.This week my car died again. I had it towed once again to East Hill Auto Services. Again it was the alternator! Fantastic news... all parts and labor were covered under my warranty! Not a dime out of pocket. Let me just say tha goodt customer service these days is a treasure to find! I am not easily impressed, but I found these folks to be friendly, reliable, trustworthy, and I would highly recommend this business!

- the MOST DISHONEST & ARROGANT Owner/Mechanic I have ever known in the 20+ years of owning a car. I would never ever recommend him to anyone. Rommel wanted $1000 for labor alone to install four customer supplied new aftermarket struts and springs. I ended up having them professionally installed elsewhere for only $230 at Pina Motorsports. My advice is to go anywhere else but here. Shame on him for trying to take advantage of customers whom he suspects lacks knowledge about cars.
