This has been the worst experience ever shopping for furniture at Model Home Furniture. Sonia is very unprofessional, please beware if she sends you a picture of an item and you state you like it. That means in her mind you want to special order the item. I have been waiting on a bed that I purchased for 3 weeks after Sonia told me it would be 1 week. I told her I needed a dresser & night stand for the bed I order. Sonia sent me a pics of a grand gorgeous set in her words that was coming out of a model home in Dallas. I texted back, I like it, how much, can I get the dimensions since it’s a pic from a catalog and of course it’s all final sale!!!! I stated to Sonia I was skeptical about purchasing I needed the dimensions since I was moving into a high rise not a home it might be too big. She never could seem to find the dimensions but assumed since I said. I like ~ that meant I wanted to purchase. When I told her I wanted only the bed if it had already arrived and was ready to be delivered all of a sudden the dresser & night stand was also ready to be delivered. I sent her the Zelle for only the bed and she insisted I pay for the dresser and night stand because I special ordered the items ~ I had to send her out text conversation where Sonia stated she have a grand gorgeous set coming in from Dallas that would go well with the bed. She told me 2 different times the delivery of the bed was rescheduled due to the weather. Sonia then text me that my balance includes the dresser & night stand and I must pay the balance in order for her to reschedule my delivery for the third time! I’m a business owner myself and I explained to her that, unfortunately I DO NOT do shady business deals! IF A CUSTOMER STATES THEY LIKE A ITEM FROM A CATALOG PIC YOU CAN NOT ASSUME THAT MEANS ADD IT TO THEIR BILL. She was so upset that I did not want to purchase the dresser & mirror so she canceled the delivery of the bed and insisted I paid for the other items or else. I have done business with her in the past and it wasn’t this complex, that’s how I returned. However, after several back & forth text with her, I paid for the dresser & night stand because Sonia seemed hard up for money so I decided to squash the back & forth! If I can’t use it I will resale it like Sonia. I want my bed since again this has been 3 weeks of unprofessionalism back & forth lies with Sonia!!!!! I sent her another Zelle snd told her I hope it helps her since it was very obvious she’s a lying money monster!We texted yesterday and she was suppose to let me know about delivery and guess what? She stops responding to my text. Yup, after I sent her the Zelle she bullied me about she never called back with a delivery time & date.I just texted her for the new location address since I never heard back from her let’s see if she responds today about my delivery that’s is now paid in full!!!! I see why she’s a struggling furniture store, Sonia is very unprofessional and a liar! I will never ever do business with her again, all this to SAY BEWARE SHE IS A WITCH LOOKING TO SCAM & LIE TO GET MONEY SELLING FURNITURE FROM STAGED HOMES BUT TELLING THE CUSTOMER SHE SPECIAL ORDERED ~JUST FOR YOU!

This has to be the best little secret treasure box in Katy, TX! I’m in love with Model Home Furniture Direct. Sonia Ochoa is the owner and one of the sweetest, kindest people you’ll ever meet. She made my shopping experience beyond pleasant. Her store has beautiful, and elegant decor. No matter how small or big the look you’re going for, she has it! I can honestly say that I am now a forever fan/ loyal customer!! I will continue beautify my new home with Model Home Furniture Direct.

Our experience with Model Home Furniture has been wonderful from start to finish! We saw a TV Console at a neighbors house and fell in love with it immediately. When we found out it was from Model Home Furniture, we looked at some of the catalogs online and planned a trip right away. We were amazed at the quality of their products and the different styles and pieces they had to offer. There were several options on the showroom floor, but hundreds more in the catalogs they offer. They had the exact console our neighbors had and Sonia offered to show us some similar options on the floor and in the catalog room. We shared the style we were looking for, and she was able to point us in the right direction in minutes. What I loved most about using their catalogs was the fact that there were several sizes of consoles in the same design, as well as other pieces. I fell in love with at least 10 other options she showed us, but we ultimately ended up purchasing the same one we had first fallen in love with, choosing a size up from the one we saw at our neighbors house. I loved that we were able to get exactly what we wanted without compromising design or size. Sonia made it quick and easy to order the exact size and design we wanted, and the delivery window worked out perfectly for us. We have truly enjoyed working with Sonia at Model Home Furniture and will DEFINITELY be buying from them again!!

I am so thrilled with my experience I had today at Model Home Furniture. I was referred by a relative and I was told that they had excellent prices and a great selection, they did not disappoint. The owner was willing to work with me having a limited budget and I got all the furniture I needed to replaceall that I lost during the Hurricane Harvey flood. It warms my heart to have people in my community willing to bend over backwards to help me out during my time of need. I highly recommend you check this place out, you will not be disappointed. They will forever have my business because of the kindness they showed me.

If I could give this place negative rating, I would do that. She took my full money in advance and didn’t deliver my furniture on time. On repeated reminders, she stopped answering my texts and calls whereas she was still actively doing business with other people. And now she wants to give me some other piece of furniture which I haven’t ordered and refuses to return my money back or answer my calls. NEVER EVER GIVE HER YOUR MONEY IN ADVANCE AND I WOULD ADVICE YOU TO STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE AND AVOID STRESS.

I got the best deal around, on a stunning king bed from this place. The showroom is filled with furniture, accessories, wall art, lamps, and very unique pieces, one would find in model homes.The prices are always discounted, so no need to wait for holiday sales.This is one of the best “hidden secrets” in katy for sure!

Highly recommend Model Home Furniture in Katy. They have a great selection of high quality furniture. I had a great experience working with the owner Sonia. She was very knowledgeable, helpful, and offered to hold a TV media console for me until the next day when I could make it there to purchase. The piece was even more beautiful in person and the quality is outstanding! Will be shopping here in the future.

Got a great deal on free delivery and a new king size bed with the mattress set as well. I was also given two pictures for my daughter room and I am great full for the discount given due to being a effected by Hurricane Harvey. Sonia was nice and helpful in getting my room refurnished after the flood! Thank you Model Home Furniture!!!

My mom found their listing on Craigslist and although a far drive for us it was very much worth the trip. I purchased a beautiful bench and console that are both unique and quality pieces. Very accommodating and helpful staff!

We had good experience shopping there last week. The lady there was very helpful and patient answering our questions. Furniture looks good.

I went in to look for some pieces that I needed to replace due to loss with Hurricance Harvey. The owner and staff were very helpful and assisted me in finding just what I needed. They are offering discounts to flood victims. Another plus for me is that they assemble and deliver.

Totally neat Place really rustic everything in here is from a model home you can find things that awesome deals new modern traditional as well as antique its like a mom and pop place totally vintage

Its not what youd expect. Model home furniture must be really nice, right? Wrong. Its just ok, nothing too nice.

Overprice. Bought king size bed and later found the exact bed for half the cost. Shop around before buying from them.

This place is the worst. I called to speak with them about possibly consiging or some other arrangement and they were very rude for no reason whatsoever. These people are only in it for themselves and will not care about your needs. Starting off with common courtesy. Two thumbs down!

I would HIGHLY not recommend doing business with as customer service is HORRIBLE and just doesnt take care of you.
