After almost 2 month of weeks and weeks returning due to extra parts they claimed ordered from dealer and being told they had already been ordered and had still not arrived, I received a call from their “central parts department” asking for my vin # so they could order the additional parts needed. Poor, follow up, no customer service to call and all this after they had also broken my wiper arm! Never got my windshield replaced after over a month of back and forth. Taking my business elsewhere!

You cant talk to anybody on the phone!Their automated system SUCKS, it doesnt give you an option of talking to a live customer service representative!I understand Covid-19 affects lots of businesses, but dang, I just need a quote over the phone!It tells me to go online and do it, what if someone doesnt know how to do it online!I am taking my business elsewhere!NOT RECOMMENDED!
Very disappointing experience. I had an appointment in Katy location on Saturday that said I had to drop my car by 9:30am. I arrived just few minutes late, 9:33am. I waited at the parking outside hoping to speak to one of representatives present there, but they were busy, and then I realized the there was a door not for employees only. I got inside and front desk lady was on the phone. I waited for her to finish and then explained that Im here to drop a car for service. The lady told me that I was late (it was about 9:43am by then) and so they had to re-schedule me. She explained that I had enough time between 7:30 and 9:30 to drop my car, which was not mentioned anywhere on the website or in the appointment email, and that being few minutes late cancels my appointment. Again, nothing like that mentioned anywhere and my understanding was that shop opens at 9:30 and that it is when you are requested to bring your car. She could not explain how few minutes delay cancels 2+ hours the shop would normally plan to repair a car in their schedule, neither she cared about lack of information provided for a customer to be aware of timed drop-off or the fact that all those precious minutes were consumed waiting for her to finish a call or to figure out whom to speak to. Very disappointing experience from lack of information provided for first-time customers and from the way it was handled. I drove 50 miles for no reason and I lost the opportunities to schedule other convenient time to fix my glass sooner. Had 2 hours drop-off window been specified properly, I would bring my car way earlier. When I asked front desk lady to reschedule to Houston location, since it was closer to me and I can only accommodate that during a week, she told me all other locations are booked weeks ahead. I stepped aside and went to Safelite website to see available appointments, and there were few open in Houston on Thu and Fri. Not sure why she would say they were not available. Again, very disappointing customer experience and sadly, even before one could have the service itself that I heard mostly positive feedback about.
Can not talk to company in Katy. All transferred to central call center (yes, you get to talk to a computer for 3-4 minutes. They want you to schedule online, only to find out they do not service your home in the 77441 area code and want to send you to Rosenberg 18 miles away. Im going to Texas Rock Chip on Mason road.
Please read the reviews before coming here. They are not lying when they say that this place does not know what they are doing. I had the tiniest dent on the windshield and took it in immediately and now the damage is worse then what it was originally. I had to pay $85 out of pocket because my insurance won’t cover it when I usually go to to the individually owned glass repair shops they are covered through my insurance. I am now out of $85 for a windshield that looks worse then the original. Thanks for wasting my time and money. And to make matters worse when they charged me I received a phone call right after from my bank letting me know that someone had used my card to make a $1,000 transaction. The only purchase I made that day was at safelite so who else could have stollen my card Information
Got my replacement windshield fast and had to go back a week later to have it replaced again. They did it with no problem! Thank you Safelite.

Horrible. They gave me appointment twice and both the times when I am there they realized wrong part ordered!! First time you can excuse anyone, how the F you can repeat again!! Also the people are not apologetic, trying to argue!! At any cost wont go back, at least not in this life, may be not in my next 7!!
Staff was really nice. Didnt resolve my issue but they were smart enough to realize I was only there for the hard to find glass and didnt really need help with the install.As a former mechanic it is really nice to see a place admit its limitations and be willing to work with you to resolve them.Most other places would of just refused to work with me and leave me without a window.

A very punctual place. I made an appointment for 1p, and I was seen at 1p and 20 seconds. They said it would take about an hour and a half, and it took an hour and 28 minutes before they called me to tell me it was ready. The repair seemed clean with the exception of our parking garage sticker.. it was put back in the wrong place, and now I have to buy a replacement. Brad (my glass tech) was nice, clear and concise, and thats the kind of folk that grow business. The sticker thing happens from time to time, I suppose 🤷♂️ 4.5 ⭐
Did reservation online. Very very easy. Dropped car off at place between 8 and 815. Got call at 1145 it was ready. I knew how much it cost ahead of time. That info was relayed to me. Windshield looks like original. Life is good

My GEICO auto insurance sent me here for a 2021 Honda CRV windshield replacement. I was expecting issues based on the 1 start reviews other customers wrote. But I didnt experience any issues with them. Everything went perfect actually. It was very simple. I had a Tuesday morning appointment, I dropped my car off Monday evening before they closed (I did not use the drop box, I went inside & gave them my keys). I received several automated text messages & emails keeping me informed with appointment reminders, drop off reminders, installation start, technician assignment, calibration completion, pickup alert, & instructions on what needed to be done. I had no reason/need to call them because the automated communications were extremely sufficient. My appointment was at 9:30am my card was ready for pickup at 11:45am. I went in, paid my insurance deductible & was handed my keys. Receipt was emailed to me & they told me what precautions to take over the next 2 days. DONE!Also the windshield replacement looks Exactly like my original Honda factory windshield (minus the VIN barcode on the bottom left corner). Even the Frits (solid black bands near the edge of windshield & small black dots at the outer edge) were in the exact same position. That was a happy surprise because I was fully expecting to receive some generic plain piece of glass, which has happen to me with a different company. I was also nervous about my Lane sensing features getting messed up from the windshield replacement, but everything was recalibrated perfectly. My registration sticker was even perfectly transferred. So I literally felt like they just magically removed the giant crack from my previous windshield. The experience exceeded expectations in every way.

I took a chance with Safelite about a month ago, but as you can see from the photos! It was $200+ for them to fix three rock chip the size of a quarter and still have this? I feel like I got ripped off. This is not quality work, its garbage. For the high prices they charge, least they can do is do a solid work.

Dropped my vehicle off at 9am on Mon to have the windshield replaced and was told “guaranteed to be ready by 5pm”. I didn’t hear anything from the shop all day, so I decided to call them (no easy feat) at about 3:30pm. I was then told that they tried to replace the windshield only to realize that they had the incorrect part. When I picked up my vehicle the rep informed me that they’d escalate the issue to their manager to secure expedited shipping for the part and that’d I’d hear back first thing the next morning. It’s now Thursday and I still have a cracked windshield and I am still waiting for a follow up. Terrible experience so far.
Nothing like having an 8 hour window for repair to be told you cant have it done on hour 8. Thanks for the waste of time, to top it off they were absolutely no help rescheduling. I asked for a smaller window next time and was refused. Great service Nelly...keep up the great work...5 Star Autoglass was able to schedule quickly and gave a 4 hour window..Just incase anyone else has same issue with this company..

Thet we not able to complete installation of windshield saying I would need to return to the dealer to finish the installation. And for that I would also be paying a higher price than going directly to the dealer for the replacement windshield.

It took two appointments to have the windshield replaced.
Long story short, they broke my trim around my windshield and said it was not their responsibility to fix it because it was glued on. They stuck duct tape to hold the trim down. My trim was not broken to begin with.Very unprofessional. I will definitely not be recommending them. I will also be reporting them to the BBB.

I have used Safelite, Katy, Texas location for several items: windshield replacement, rock chip repair, cowling install and windshield wiper replacement. They do super work and in this last visit this week --- Michael and Nelly went above and beyond in customer service. First off this company was recommended by my insurance Company as a preferred repair shop. I should have followed my first mind, and went with my own personal preference. I absolutely regret not doing so! The repair that the gentleman did not only damaged my windshield further, it looks worse then when he began the job! Might I add I waited 2 weeks before I got an appointment, to be highly dissatisfied like I am today! The original appointment that they gave me had to be rescheduled for unknown reasons. They call the day of the appointment and say that they couldn’t make it out. So I wait, and the service I received on yesterday, I now regret!Update: I wish I’d have read these reviews, they are horrible! I will have to let Geico know about this experience!
Easy scheduling for mobile service. Although never have liked the time frames of between 8am-5pm when technician will arrive. Had a small arival scheduling conflict, but they worked around the issue. Good, fast service.
They are very professional and know their job. The technician was so respectful and following the social distancing and had the mask and gloves.He also clarified the risks of the repair of glass before he started to repair it.

I wanted to give a good review to these guys. At first I was kind of hesitant because of their previous reviews. I had an appointment last week for my windshield. I dropped my vehicle off so that they could do the work. I had my wife follow me there, so that we could go, and run our errands.Shortly later, I got a call from Mike, the Master technician informing me that there was a scratch on the new windshield. I was a little disturbed because you would think that they would look at the windshield the day before/early the day of installation. Of course looking for scratches, chips, etc . Or even to make sure that they had the right windshield. I appreciate Mike for not trying to install a defective windshield. I got multiple emails, text messages(too many) reminding me of my appointment. I did my part by showing up for my appointment. Maybe Safelite can do theres by simply having a technician check all orders the day before or of so that customers wont be wasting their time getting that dreaded phone call stating that they do not have the right glass or it is scratched. And this was why I almost went to another location because of their reviews. So needless to say, I had to come back the following week.....Ok, the GOOD STUFF! So, I showed up early this morning. I spoke with Ms. Alicia. I asked her if it were ok for me to drop off my vehicle earlier than my 2:00 p.m. appointment. She said, not a problem! Not only did they do a great job, they got it done early!!! Thank you Ms. ALICIA !!!Thank you MIKE S.!!!THANKS GUYS!!😎💯
This my second time visiting this location. They are quick with the repairs and The chip repairs are virtually gone. Not noticeable unless you knew where they were. Awesome job!

Had to get my windshield replaced due to a crack shooting across it. We set up an appointment and Safelite confirmed and provided important the day before the appointment. We were greeted and walked through the process. The technician helping is pointed some other things about the windshield we did not notice. They replaced the windshield, calibrated the vehicle due to ADAS, removed and replaced the registration and toll tag sticker. Very friendly staff. We would go there again if needed
They cant take calls during this time of crisis, but Im supposed to do business with you? Yeah...ok. If you cant talk to me on the phone, Ill definitely go elsewhere.
The first place Ill now think of if/when I need a windshield repaired or replaced. We got a windshield replaced for hundreds less than the dealership -- and the lane keeping assist camera was no problem for them -- they adjusted it to the new windshield. There was a fee -- technically isnt free -- but still less than the dealership who would have needed to do the same adjustment.
George helped us, perfect service! I had all 4 kids with me and they got me out in an hour with a full replacement of my windshield. It looks great! This was also the best price in town. Thank you so much. I will use them again, but I hope I dont have to.

These guys are crooks...do not take your vehicle here!Safelite did not recalibrate my 2020 BMW, they told me they did not have the equipment to perform this work on a 2020 vehicle, and that I needed to take my vehicle to BMW for this work to be performed,Safelite then turned around and billed and took the money from Perma Plate for the recalibration l, saying they completed the work!Now I have to pay BMW to recalibrate my car!Safe lite is unethical and the manager in Katy named Alicia did nothing to fix this issue.
I scheduled an appt to have my windshield fixed on my Mercedes SL550. Showed up for appt. Their replacement windshield had a crack, so they rescheduled for a week later at 9:00 a.m on Saturday morning. At 8:45 am, manager called me to inform me that they did not have the replacement windshield. Said that they would work to get the windshield and get back with me on Monday. Wednesday, still have heard nothing. Called the shop phone number. Said that they are not taking calls and hung up on me. Three weeks, two-one-half appts, later, nothing. I WOULD STEER CLEAR OF THIS PLACE!!!!!!!

I made an appointment online on a Monday morning and received a verification email immediately. I received a call on a Wednesday asking for the VIN. I mentioned that I selected the option to go through my insurance and asked a couple of basic questions about the process. She was not able to answer and replied mmm hmmm or not sure.I figured if they dont care then why should I. So I cancelled my appointment and decided to find another location.

Not a good experience. They still have not replaced my windshield after two weeks. I had to schedule with them twice, but neither of them got the work done. At the first appointment time, the tech did show up, but only to find out that they got the wrong windshield. At the second appointment time, no one showed up and I just got a call saying that the replacement can only be done at their shop and they would try hard to find a time slot for me on the same day. No follow-up call so far. Very disappointed. Maybe they have their excuses, but cant they put more attention to their tasks and dont wait to the last minutes to call me that something is wrong??? I have no idea when they are able to have their work done properly. I wont recommend them to anybody!
I scheduled an appointment 3 times because they kept ordering the wrong part. Ive waited 2 weeks and they still screw up! They told me yeah we dont have the part you should be getting a call Which they never did call me back. I called them, gave them the number on the windshield. The lady said yes got it on file, you will have it by the next appointment By the next appointment comes along they said they same thing yeah we ordered the wrong part you should be getting a call They call me to tell me that it will be another $336 for the part and I have to come to them . If I would known that it would be $700 in total and it would take 2 weeks for them to actually get something done I would take my business somewhere else.
We replaced the windshield with them. Very convenient to be able to schedule appointment online and the service was great. They even remounted the car video camera for us.
Wish I had read reviews before using these clowns... 3 attempts and they keep getting the wrong glass... maybe 4fh time will be a charm... three weeks is bs

I was not happy with safelite at first because they charged my debit account A LOT of money. I called in to speak with them, they found the problem and refunded my money along with compensating me for the mistake! Very appreciative! Haven’t had problems with my windshield either. I really appreciate them fixing the issue.
I went to the Katy service center and met with a tech who checked out my vehicle, recorded details, contacted my insurance co, and set up my appointment for the following week. I had a friend drive with me for my appointment so I could leave the car for the few hours needed. When i tried to drop the car off. I was told by another tech who looked at my car that the glass they had ordered was not the correct P/N. It would be the next day before they would have the part in and that I needed to reschedule. There was NO apology for my inconvenience, NO concern about how this error they had made could have happened and just general apathy! Made me feel that I was the inconvenience! I decided to cancel my appointment and to take my car to the Dealer from whom I bought the car 3 years ago! I will never go to Safelite again. Very dissspointing service and no confidence in the quality of the people! No Customer Service training obviously!
*Update* Got the whole windshield properly replaced about a week and a half later with the part I wanted.============Came in with a small chipped windshield, they BROKE my windshield trying to get it repaired and now will not offer an OEM replacement even when I offer to pay for it. BIG disappointment, imagine coming in with a tiny chip and walking out with a huge crack!!

Terrible experience, poor communications. Left trash in car, didn’t remove and place registration sticker and ez tag to new windshield leaving me stranded over the weekend without a tag where most of my commute is over 99/westpark. No customer service to speak of. I would avoid this location and the company for future if ever needed such services and would advise others the same.And that reply below is just bogus and bs, doesn’t do anything to change the experience i had with their shady location. And i did look in to other reviews, I’m not the only one with such experience there are many more and they all received same reply in verbal that doesn’t change anything. Maybe putting more efforts in to providing better customer care is what should be done. People are spending hard earned money and precious time there, have some respect for that

I used to love Safelite, but they have lost their way. Had my 4th appointment cancelled by them this past weekend. Of course no one bothered to call or tell me it had been cancelled they waited until I showed up at the store to tell me they had cancelled my appointment and would not be working on my vehicle because they would not do work on a vehicle they had not initially installed the windshield on. Funny thing is the only reason anyone else installed it to start with is because they cancelled my first 3 appointments to have them install the windshield to start with. They had no problem making the appointment when I told them exactly what I needed and they said it would be no problem. A few years back I would have recommended them to anyone and everyone as I was very happy with the service I previously received however at this point they seem to be going out of their way to turn customers away. On the plus side there is another glass shop close by which was much cheaper had the same warranties and seamed glad to have my businesses (I am sure you can find it on google)
Scheduled an appointment over a week ago and they did not have my glass replacement. It to nearly 2hrs for them to figure it out. The front desk clerk was sweet and had an uber bring me to the mall but everything else about this place is horrific. Dont even waste your time. This is my second time using them but first time with an issue and the issue is BIG! I am livid and reported them to my insurance company. I changed my entire day around to get this done. If I could give negative stars I would.😡
They were great. I had a drop off appointment on a Saturday morning. When I arrived, there was a torrential downpour, in which I had to move our child car seat to my husbands car, so I was drenched. They got me checked in quickly in spite of there being a bunch of other people there, offered me hot coffee, and gave me paper towels so I could dry off a bit. (Thank you so much!) Again, in spite of having a bunch of other jobs to do, they had my Expeditions windsheild replaced less than 3 hours after I dropped it off. They were extremely nice and friendly, and very helpful.
Went in to replace my rear hatch glass on my station wagon.They ordered the wrong part (non-privacy glass), and then installed said wrong part. It was pretty obvious that the rear hatch was factory OEM privacy glass. At no point was I contacted or asked to confirm if my car was factory tinted or aftermarket tint.They proceeded to order the right part on 6/14. It is now 6/21 and the rear glass has yet to show up. I followed up, but they are blaming the supplier.I had to call the supplier myself and found out that the part has yet to be shipped.Something isnt quite right when the customer has to go through the supply chain to figure out where the part is.Im only going to come back because they agreed to install the right glass when it eventually arrives. ETA on the rear hatch? Who knows. Maybe Ill order it myself and bring it to them. Otherwise I cant recommend this office to anyone.
Well the tech made a mistake and damage the new window [ it happens ] now safelite is going to make it right ? they are going to expedite a replacement and have it installed right? customer service right? they would not penalize the customer for the techs mistake right?WRONG I am penalized another week and a half wait, with a glass that is worst than the one they pulled before they bother getting back to repair it Yep they say the replacement glass is coming from Amarillo guess they never heard of Fedex or Ups overnight and having a tech work over a little to make it right - Safelite to big to fail --- more like to big to care

You couldnt ask for a better group of guys! I brought in the impossible! 2018 F 750, busted rear glass, it took them a few weeks to get the glass in, then the work began. It took 3 of them to feed the glass around the headache rack on the flatbed, they did it with a smile. I will say, the wrap they put on the back of the truck, while we were waiting on the glass, stood up to the road test. I put almost 2500 miles on the truck, the wrap lasted!! I highly recommend this store. Would give 6+ stars if it was possible! ! Thanks again.....
Had my back window replaced on my 2013 Infiniti G37X they state that they back their work and have 30 days for defective glass it’s been 15 days and I’ve been dealing with them for the past week the glass has an indention and curve that isn’t suppose to be there it’s an eye sore and they are wanting me to come out of pocket again to pay for an oem glass why do they even carry defective glass ? And they clearly don’t back their work. This my first stop wanted to warn others of this. Just because they back it doesn’t mean they will.Now on to the BBB and possibly a lawyer. Hopefully it doesn’t mess any of my electronics up while I wait and wait to get this sorted out.. stay away from them you better off going to a dealership spending the extra money versus taking the cheaper way out ..Run !!! From them worst experience ever basically they’ll apologize and want you to spend more money with them .. if I’m spending another cent I’ll take it to the dealer and have it done correctly and just be out of the money I spent with safelite . COMPLETE DISASTER
