This store is a great place to get items everyone else has run out of, because it is somewhat tucked away on Main St. I found the elusive KitchenAid Stand Mixer here this holiday season. Great folks run the place and are always helpful when you ask questions or call ahead to see if they have something.

A snot nosed kid accused my husband of stealing.He walked there with my 2 year old son in a stroller. My husband showed him he did NOT steal the stuffed animal because where would he put it? My husband told the owner and he blew him off and and told him to leave. We have always shopped there and will NEVER be back and neither will anyone in our family. He was humiliated and disregarded. Horrible.

Nice to not have to drive to Rangeline

This store is like stepping back in time 50 years. Typically I try to make a first attempt at supporting smaller local hardware stores, this backfired on me here. I fully support Henkel’s Ace on the North side of town, but this location has pitiful selection and employees which are atypical for an Ace/True Value in that they don’t seem as knowledgeable.

Went in to have a key made. Service was quick and friendly.

My two year old son & I came in for a pack of chewing gum, was followed around and accused of stealing, we were yelled at in front of customers and asked to leave and never come back 😑 We wont be returning!

This place is the best. We owned a hardware store for almost 30 years, this place has the best specials and values in Joplin. We always have to be to stop by and pick up something.

This is the coolest little hardware store. The parts guys downstairs can answer any home repair question. The upstairs is full of unique household goods.

First off, alot of people think there is no place to park but in front, there is a huge public parking lot behind the store, and you go in the back door. Some things are cheaper then the big places, because they dont have a big overhead, so those savings pass on to the customer. its a smaller cozier atmosphere, you dont have to walk 20 min. Just to get to the next aisle. The friendly and helpful staff are why I continue to go there, and its a brick and mortar business, and Im all for supporting the smaller local businesses in town. Ive always used them, and I would recommend them to anyone.

Was on a 600 miles road trip. Googled Ace Joplin. True Value came up. Someone abruptly answered the phone and I couldnt understand them so I asked if this was Ace in Joplin. Which the guy rudely responded to. So youre a hardware store right? I asked if they had what I needed, they did. I asked what time they closed. 530. I turned off the highly several miles out of my way to give them business only to have the doors closed and locked at 525. Truly no value.

Lots of unique gift ideas in here. And very personal service. Loved it.

Its an ol mom, pop, and son bitniss in the downtown section of Joplin. Not much selection of tech, but then again, its just a brick n brack hardware store. Downstairs has good selection of tools tho.

On Wednesday Aug 3rd I experienced a flat tire on my motorcycle I pulled over in front of the TrueValue store in Joplin. It was hot and I needed help to get the bike back on the road so I could return home to Arkansas,.I called the local Harley Davidson dealership and they sent a truck and trailer to pick me and my bike up.While I waited the kind folks at the TrueValue store let me stand inside the store to cool off and they even gave ne a can of iced tea,WOW!! Its been a very long time since I have experienced such open hospitality like thatTHANK YOU for making a crappy day better!
