Great grocery store. Started going here instead of Ingles a while back for a few reasons, but mostly due to the fact that I wasnt real impressed with the local Ingles.The store is always clean and fairly well stocked. I really havent had any interaction with the employees, but it definitely seems like they need a couple more cashiers. I also wish the freezer section was larger but it also seems to be a bit of a smaller store. Its hard to beat the one on N State of Franklin Road!Overall though, not much else to say. Convenient location for me personally and have no reason to not come here.

Love food city they always have everything in stocks! Plus they keep the place clean and the workers will help you get your groceries to the car,I dont know any other store that does that anymore!!

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and selection of food. They have many natural and keto options. The staff was very helpful and pleasant, and the store was well stocked. They carry a better selection than our stores in New England.

I would say this store is a grocery store...nothing special. Their bakery could be better and my main issue is that customer service could be much better. I normally shop at another grocery store but decided to give Food City in Boones Creek a shot...well I had some of the worst customer service! I sincerely hope this is just a me only experience!

Got puffed corn here that is hard to find anywhere (without butter or cheese, rather just plain). I dont shop here much because Aldis is a better value.

Most of the time they have good deals under groceries but once Im not really sure I really love their crab salad or crab dip Because they make it there like krogers guess theres pre made and shipped in!! Food cities is the bomb its the bomb!!

Great pepole and service. They have the food circle market brand which have healthy and natural produts. The only store with spring water.No phone connection in store 😣 .

Went to Food City Tuesday night and paid for 50.00 worth of gas before pumping. My car would only hold 32.00(approximately) so I told the cashier. She said not to worry, that it would only charge the card what I pumped. Lie! Charged me the full 50.00 Thursday morning I went to speak with the manager about it and he told me I needed to dispute it with the bank and call the gas company!!!! Sad sad sad!!!!!! Lesson learned! Of course we all know Food City doesnt have enough money!

I visit this food city regularly and cannot ever seen to do so without being follower and treated like a shop lifer, even. Wants her to call out over the area when I was the only one there I work retail for 5 years I know the signs of someone trying to deter shoplifting I dont look like a tweaker if they want their customers to be loyal they can start by not training every customer like a thief.

Dont have these in Florida but we should!! Awesome deals and great food prices!! Always get a bang for your buck here.

There arent many good brushless car washes in Johnson City, but this is one of them. Wash packages range from $6-$12. Only the $10-$12 packages include drying. My only nit is that the blow dryers are poorly designed. Instead of blowing from above, they are on each side of the car, blowing at each other. This leaves the car pretty wet, which is annoying.

Always the worst experience at the self checkout! The lady who was supposed to be watching the self checkout registers was too busy gossiping and scratching her back with a hanger. I honestly thought this was funny! Until the bananas barcode didn’t work, and she was no where to be found. So of course, I just type it in and weigh it. Guess who popped out of no where five minutes too late and started accusing me of stealing? Ah the hanger lady! She obviously did not see me type in “bananas”, and weigh them. Thank you for touching all my groceries! Please do better.

Very nice, clean grocery store!

I went to this smaller store which reminded me of the very first one I started my grocery retail job in Abingdon over 30 yrs ago. I worked for them for 7 yrs in various positions.I was on the hunt for the Friskies Salmon dinner Pate Faith, my feline 🐈 daughter, loves & will only eat in wet car food. I hit the jackpot.Had driven 7 miles from downtown JC to another store in the Boones Creek area, where I had found it previously, but this trip they were out.

Shopped this location twice. 1st time overcharged almost $20. 2d time I bought bread & when I opened next day it had begun to mold.. Checked date & it expired 9 days before I purchased. Wont shop there again. I have been grossly overcharged at most all their locations. Guess they count on most people not checking receipts. And all they ever do is give you a non heartfelt sorry, like that makes it ok. Ingles has much better meat & its cheaper.

They have good weekly specials. The deli is okay. They have a very good meat department. A good fruit and vegetable section, and good overall value.

Food City. Kind of totally shocked me. Coming from the north people arent as friendly as they seem down here. At food City you dont even take your groceries out of your cart they do it for you and then they put it in your grocery cart and you just wheel it out to your car. Totally unexpected. Their produce look nice, overall selection was nice very clean store. I cant speak on comparative prices as I have not lived in Johnson City long enough to make that call. But I will definitely be going back.

The store was very clean. All workers where helpful and polite. I would have given a five star but the deli needs to keep more of there chicken salad! Its so delicious but often they are out!

The employees are helpful. The store is tidy and well stocked. They seasonal items as well as small appliances for the kitchen. They also have curbside pick-up when you order your groceries online.

I got call from Michelle HR for part time job and set a day to interview and when I went there I met another one annalise store manager and deli manager I dont remember her name, than she give me low rate coz many people lie about thier experience so I got Michelle email to send her my experience certificates and next day I got voice mail with bad tone that I can call another store maybe they can offer full time job and I called to clarify that I want part time she was rude to me ... I heard this store was bad and rude before but I didnt believe till I tried so any one thinking carefully before they apply to this store . Thx

Always have what I need

My wife and I stopped in the deli oit of convenience for a quick supper. We were in around 5:30 pm. Selections were very poor for main entree and even less so for sides. The gentlemen had to scrape the pans to get enough sides to make 2 meals. I asked if they had tea and he informed me they just poured them out ! We set down in the store to eat and food was warm at best. Seemed like a good idea to grab a quick bite. My wife and I will not return to eat at the deli.

Good deals, esp. On midnight madness Fridays. The prices are good and sales are very good! He staff is usually friendly and VERY helpful. The store is clean and uncluttered and very easy to get around. Plus the reward gas program is good.

EXCELLENT PLACE TO SHOP. THEY HAVE A LARGER INVENTORY OF THE MOST IMPORTANT FOOD STAPLES. STORE IS CLEAN AND NEAT. I LOVE THE NEW CONCEPT OF ORDERING GROCERIES ONLINE, THEY GET EVERYTHING READY FOR YOU, AND YOU JUST DRIVE THERE AND THEY LOAD THEM INTO YOUR VEHICLE. I ALSO LOVE GETTING THE FUEL POINTS SO I CAN SAVE ON A TANK OF GAS. ALSO, THE BIGGEST PLUS FOR MY HUSBAND AND ME ARE THE POWER CHAIRS TO GET AROUND IN. WE ARE NO LONGER ABLE TO WALK ALL THE AISLES TO SHOP.LOVE THE FULL SERVE SALAD BAR AND THE HOT FOODS DELI.

Great place very friendly staff

Rude employees that will literally walk right into you if you dont move. Whatever they are doing is more important to them than being respectful of the customer. Overpriced merchandise and food, I mean really why pay more for the same stuff you can get elsewhere cheaper.

A word of advice if you dont have your discount card ask for one at the counter because without a discount card items are about 20% higher.

This food City is always fully stocked. It is also super price efficient. It may not be the cheapest, but it is the best value. Customer service is always amazing.

Many of ours grocery store cause theyre conveniently located around the Tri-Cities area. Clean and well organized displays. Professional n courteous employees. And a wonderful deli n bakery! They also donate and help within our communities! Oh, and our NASCAR events, along with the tracks Christmas event!

Some rudeness, however most people were pleasant and the service was excellent as usual 🙂

I accidentally ordered a cake from the wrong location and the lady at the bakery whipped up a wonderful cake quickly and I am so happy with it! All the employees are always nice and helpful at every food city I have been too. they always help me out to my car when I have my kids with me.

Love shopping here because they keep the items in the same place so I always know where things are.. I can get in and out of here quickly. The gas visits are a big plus, and you can use double visits on Wednesdays! The staff are always friendly and helpful, and I can really save money at their Moonlight Madness sales!
