Not a good representation of the company. I know they arent in the best of neighborhoods, but the parking lot is always trashed with debris and garbage. The employees dont interact with you. There have been a number of items out of stock for weeks. Food has been out of date. (just ate a pizza that wasnt quite right, its 2 months out of date) Saw a package of deli meat recently that was obviously a different color than the others around it, I checked, out of date. Looks like a customer placed a drink in the freezer, it busted and was still there. So either they are short staffed, or its poor management in my opinion. With a Family Dollar right next door, you would think they would up their game, to be better.

The employee was very nice and the selection was good. They dont have much clothing at the Broadway location though.

Well stocked and clean which is surprising because the DG over on N Roan near Mooneys Pharmacy is very much NOT well stocked and the floors look like they havent seen a broom or a Mop in weeks.

The parking lot is trashed! The outside makes the company look bad.

Always the Best. They seem to always have just what I need and then some because I always come out with more than my intentions upon entering the store. They have the cutest crafty things. My kids and grandkids are loving the convenience of having the store so close to us. Smart idea to have them on every corner? LoL.

Great store, very clean, nice staff, good selection of items. Only problem is they dont have a public restroom anymore. Its one of the best Dollar Generals in Johnson City. Im a very loyal customer and visit this store weekly.

Had a couple of good sales today. I was told that tomorrow most of their store items will be 50% off for 4 days. Was really nice deals!

Everything was decently priced and the cashier was friendly. I was able to use a Dollar General to grab the chips I promised and not be late to the picnic.

Larger selection of stuff than most dollar type stores. The store was clean and employees were polite as well as helpful. Shopping hours are convenient. With a wide variety of can and dry goods, freezer and cooler section.

I shop here often. I have had a couple employees in the past check me out that was kinda rude, didnt say one word the whole time, didnt tell me the total due or thank you have a good day, nothing. I dont think those people are employed at this location anymore. The shelves are normally bare around the time to put seasonal / holiday stuff out, the new shipment of product stays on the floor in the middle of the aisle for days before it gets completely put onto shelves.

Great location. Easy in and out. The store was easy to navigate and find what you were looking for. The employees were helpful, courteous and pleasant.

Because first of all its close to me and second of all theres a guy that works there I cant remember his name hes very sweet person and they pretty much keep their stock stocked up they have about anything and everything you need and I think they have good deals on their paper towels and their toilet paper and they have nice clothing actually some of the clothes in their name brand and they are good about telling you wear something that if youre in question and if you cant find it if theyre not busy they will help you find it that store stays packed a lot and I go there all the time about every day if I need something

The manager woman here is a B***H. She accuses customers, paying customers that is, of stealing/shoplifting when they arent or havent ever. I have seen her do this on several occasions to different customers. She runs them out of the store & thats it. If they truly stole something then why not call the cops? Maybe because shes worried the cops will find out shes a meth head & bust her. Hell the location of this store is in the heart of crack town. Probably makes her feel right at home, home away from home!

I dont like trying to get to items I need & aisles are blocked by huge carts of unboxed, unwrapped merchandise, or displays. Some stores appear unkept, & I dont like it when I find empty packages, and the item has been taken, aka stolen. Biggest pet peeve is having only 1 register open, & its backed up.

They do have a wide selection of items. The prices are decent but sometimes more expensive than other stores. There are some good buys to be had still. I like their digital coupons. Hopefully in the near future the item choices will increase.This particular store has a high turn over rate of the employees. Some are great... most not so much.I run into lots of items not priced at all here. It is very annoying. The clearance section is awful. MOST things are not even reduced at all. If the customer notices, the manager will usually come fix it. It happens too much at too many locations to be an accident. The biggest problem with this store is that if you are in a wheelchair, use a walker, or just a wide person...just forget going in. Free-standing displays fill most isles leaving about 2 to get through. Sometimes a single cart of their own wont fit down an isle. Two people cannot pass on any isle without great effort. When merchandise is brought out, it is rolled out and piled everywhere. That makes maneuvering through the store even difficult. If this store wasnt extremely convenient, I probably wouldnt shop at this location.(10/31/18 Update: I have lowered my score for this location from my original 3 stars to 1 star. I have tried 3 times to reach someone above store level about an awful experience I had with two of the employees during my last visit. I continually get someone will get back with you from corporate. That was about 3 weeks ago and no response whatsoever. No email, no call, no letter via USPS. Nothing. The employees attitudes and actions towards me were ridiculous and no one really seems to care. I was literally expected to purchase food where the manufacturers box had been opened prior and was in the freezer. I was treated like I was the worlds dumbest person, insulted, and ignored for not wanting to buy an open package... by not just one, but two employees. I wasnt even being difficult about it. I just put it back in the freezer, got another one, and told an employee near me the package was open. Thats when it started. I wont go into more details as this review is long enough... however now I know 100% Dollar General Corporate could care less about customer service, safe access to the disabled, honest and legal pricing... now even food safety... I will be avoiding ALL Dollar General stores now... not just this one location.)

The Dollar General over here on Broadway needs to be maintained more as far as cleanliness. Also it would be nice if they would get friendlier employees

I like going here because I can get the basic snacks and drinks at fair prices and dont have to do the Walmart mile walk.

Kinda cluttered, just basic necessities, overpriced groceries.

Usaly a little busy line wise .otherwise always easy to find what i need never loads of boxes crowding walkways. It is across from keystone so again a little busy at times.

I couldnt get the help I needed. I was looking for a particular body lotion. It was out on the shelf. The woman working acted as if she didnt know when they got another shipment. Arent the employees supposed to know when truck shows up?? Shes like um, i dont know why we are out. Im sorry I dont know when we will have more.. I call back to tell management and they dont even care. I dont bother with this Dollar General no more. I go next door to Family Dollar now. At least if they dont have what im looking for they will assure me when they will have more in stock or offer me the next best thing for the best price.

DONT USE BATHROOM NEED TO BE SHUT DOWN FOR THE NASTY. I TOOK PICS. TOILET HAVE NOT BEEN CLEANED IN MONTHS AND THE SINK WAS SO NASTY BATHROOM STUNK SO BAD. OUTSIDE DUMP IS ALOT BETTER PLACE.
