I usually don’t do this, but when I receive excellent service, politeness, knowledge of where I shop & personal experience I feel it cannot go unnoticed. Reese (hopefully I heard her name correct, with masks we are safe but a bit hard to hear) greeted me with excellent customer service. Not only that, when I did need her help she made my experience the highlight of what must be a slow Sunday. Thank you, and GameStop should be proud of having someone like this young woman on their staff.

Waited for hours in line for the ps5 console on Black Friday being one of the first ones in line only to realize that the mall staff had opened the other entrance way earlier so became 20th in line. Event should have been coordinated better with the mall.

Never went to this SCAM shop! They tricked u and charged 15 dollars for u have never heard of. I was told there NO WAY to get my REFUND back, and I have no idea what I bought!

Great store. I had a lot of questions requiring the GameCube and they answered it with ease. They made sure there were no scratches on it and gave me so great deals. They have a great selection of old games and if they do not have one available, theyll make sure you get it and order it for you from somewhere else. Great place with great workers.

To be honest I have been going to this GameStop for many years almost all of the employees knows me very well they trust me not to do something stupid and every time I had a problem with something they quickly fix it they seem professional and friendly but there are times when they are in a rush they are not too friendly which I understand but when it comes to a customers you have to learn to be patient because patience will always topple against being rude which is why I only give it 4 stars but they did get the job done when I ask them a question and do what they are supposed to do at least 95% of the time I dont have any problem with them even the female manager which I forgot her name but she is awesome most of the time but there are very few times she gets a little agitated when she is in a rush so I try not to upset anyone it can be stressful when you are dealing with thousands of people coming into GameStop every single day but they need to learn to keep themselves patient and I guarantee it will make a huge difference with a happy customer however I am sad that the Power Up Rewards elite membership will be retired I actually enjoyed it 😢 but at least Im good until next year 2019 after that its straight back to pro membership which is not that bad but it has room for improvements other than that I am pretty satisfied with this GameStop than any other place also the taxes low so it makes purchasing less expensive 😉👍 and if anyone wants to get stuff in GameStop with low tax your best bet is Newport Mall and GameStop is located downstairs next to JCPenneys 😉👍 that is all you need to know

I actually like going to this GameStop. The staff are diverse and very knowledgeable about the products they sell. Customer service is outstanding and they seem eager to accommodate players of all backgrounds. My only complaint is the constant insistence on membership. Thats really annoying. Other than that I like shopping here.

Extremely bad customer service. Even feel insulted.

It sucks when you run into someone who doesnt want to do their job that particular day and the customer has a bad experience. Usually what leads to the one star rating. But their are some gems in this store. Ive been helped way over expectation and one time the error was my fault and they still helped me, leaving almost in tears of joy and excitement. I always get a kind person over the phone too. Maybe management needs to weed out the bad bananas.

Typical gamestop. No think geek store. The staff knows about their games anime etc. I literally stop in everyday since I work near by.

Besides the limited selection/stock on new titles, I absolutely cannot stand the relentless sales pitch to join their power reward program. A customer should not have to justify why s/he does not wish to sign up for a paid membership during check out. It only unnecessarily prolongs an otherwise quick transaction.

I had such a bad experience with game stop in Jersey city. I was purchasing a game and the cashier said he couldnt accept my debit card because the numbers werent raised. I told the guy he was clueless. I asked to speak with a manager and no one came out to speak with me. I told the cashier that it wasnt a requirement to have raised numbers and he still refused to help me. I then drove to game stop in north bergen and spent over 100 dollars there and paid with the same debit card. They apologized for my poor shopping experience at the Newport location. The incompetent employee named Chris should be fired including his boss who didnt care about losing a sale. Never refuse a sale, offer options. Shame on you Game Stop at Newport Mall!!!!

Employee at this store does not know how to pick up there phone. I called and called for hours to see if the game I wanted was available but no one seems to know how to answer the phone and after a few tries some one did finally pick up but did not say a word after I said hello.? instead hanged the phone back up.

Store manager Morgan was on the phone since before I went there and she took almost 30 minutes just to trade 2 games I had. Thia is the worst customer service Ive ever had and she even apologized for being on the phone and then continue on the phone and I was rushing to go to work but I still didnt say anything because I didnt want to be impolite.

Today I went into GameStop here, with a small group of my close friends. We automatically went to the Pop Vinyl section and were greeted by one of the GameStop employees. I attempt to buy two of the Mighty Morphin PowerRangers: Blue Ranger and Green Ranger Pop Vinyls, but this unprofessional employee was the reason I put them back on the shelf and left. I was having a conversation with him about how I dont have space in my room for more posters. I should him a picture of my room as well. Hadnt I never done that, I would have never seen how deeply annoying and unprofessional this employee was. He said Your room is trash. Infront of my friends. At this point, I was very upset. He also bragged about how much he collected and what he collected. Ive been collecting since I was Five, even my dad gave me of his collection. I collect posters, comics, pops, figures, I am a huge nerd, sorry, but your room is trash. Was what he told me. I became the bigger person and walked away, not even a minute later, he encountered me looking at a Miles Morales statue as well as a SpiderGwen statue. He told me You cant buy those because Im buying them. I was getting to the point where I shouldve just yelled and went off, but decided to be the bigger person and ignore. As two of my friends were making purchases, he came up to me again touching two keychains on my book bag, and I was getting super annoyed so I tried taking a few steps back for him not to touch my objects. But he still followed a little and tried to talk to me about Captain America: Secret Empire. I had an annoying expierience here and never plan on going in there or purcahsing anything there. He just ruined my whole expierience there.

Bought here steam controller. When I connect it to my PC it was named already as Harrys controller. Looks like they sell me used controller for price of new one.

Says they open at 10am. Ive been here a hour and 20 minutes and they still arent open. Now i have to travel to manhattan just to trade in a game. Horrible.

My friend and I tried calling this place and got repeated busy signals. After about 10 minutes the phone started ringing and no one is picking up. Weve let the phone ring for about 15 minutes now and no sign of stopping on our parts. We figure weve come this far right? Either our phone dies or we figure out if the game we want is in stock.

Mosy staffs are helpful and friendly, only one white guy is super rude and acts like he is the god of the world

Extremely rude and really incompetent staff. Was third in line. They took at least 10 minutes to find what each customer wanted. There were 4 employees in the store who refused to helped me and just pointed to the guy who was busy with other customers.

People have to be a little bit into their job, they know absolutely nothing about the store other than annoying promotions, if u have a question u are better off calling
