They have gotten better with moving military families. They use contractors more who are not really part of the organization

We could not have been treated any better on the move we just made. The Suddath team was excellent in every aspect of the move! From the beginning with Kathy handling the assessment/quote, too Miguel and his team handling the packing, then with Tommy leading the move team, they were all professional, careful, informative, efficient, hardworking, and safe.The communication before, during and after the move was also something we had not experience with others. They made sure we were aware of each coming step, and followed up to ensure things were going as expected. This was not only a nice touch but it also gave us a high level of assurance things were getting handled.It was something to see how the entire team worked and in my humble opinion a clear reflection on how the company is managed with a commitment to excellence.

We had a huge office move in Jacksonville, Fl. Logan, Kim, Henry and the entire Suddath crew were organized, professional and worked hard from beginning to end. We couldnt have asked for a smoother move and appreciate all the follow through and follow up! Thank you!

I only gave two stars because the guys that packed my stuff up South Carolina did an amazing job. They were very professional and they wrapped and packed everything perfectly. My problem started when the guys that got to Maryland started unpacking my items. They did not want to do there jobs. They were slow, unprofessional, stopped to smoke every 30mins or less, they broke several of my items and they barely put together anything that was broken down at packing. My daughters crib was put together incorrectly and had the front of her crib swinging in and out, my master bedroom bed was apparently put back together but oh wait it wasn’t finished because it just collapsed with myself and my daughter in it (pictures attached). Nothing else was put together. I am missing several items to name a very expensive Louis Vuitton travel duffel bag, jewelry armoire just to name a few. If you are military I suggest you stay away from this company.

Military move. The company refuses to even look at the damage claim that was submitted about 6 months ago. In excess of $1000 in damages. After talking with the movers, the company doesnt even care about their own employees. The moving truck has no AC in it for a 9hr drive. I sincerely hope the military stops working with this company.

My delivery is now over one week late, with no estimate of when the household goods will be delivered. This delivery was put on the books well over six weeks before the guaranteed delivery date. They say that they cant find a driver in this fairly populated area (Hampton Roads, Virginia) to deliver the trailer, which has now been sitting somewhere in the general vicinity for several days. The fact that Ill be entitled to $100/day due to lateness is no consolation for having to live in a basically empty house. Completely unacceptable and unresolved as of this review (August 3, 2021).There were also issues on the front end with an inaccurate virtual survey that caused me to spend additional money to have a crew disassemble a treadmill and storage cabinet. I will have to pay to have these items reassembled if theyre ever delivered. We also had to sell a coffee table on moving day that we were told (that morning) would require special crating and un-crating that would exceed the value of the table. All of these items were visible and pointed out during the virtual survey.Based on my experience, do not use this company or its parent company (United Van Lines). They arent cheap, and you will likely not get premium service for that premium price.

Suddath is the best. This was not our first move, and I can honestly say they have certainly been the best. I want to write about my familys amazing experience with Suddaths Jacksonville team, specifically for how they moved my antique depression-era one-of-a-kind carved baby-grand piano across the state about a year ago. They did a phenomenal job! Henry Hanna and Steve Gaither picked up the piano in my home -- they were the picture of professionalism: polite, kept me informed every step of the way and cared for my property. They covered and protected my entryway and floors before they began their work, protected the piano and had a special contraption to move the piano so it would be moved with ease and completely protected (these guys were highly trained professionals, not some random off-the-street or earn-an-extra-buck-on-the-weekend-student who never set hands on a piano or precious antique before). They did everything. I simply watched. And they made it look smooth and easy. Danielle Durden was the move coordinator and she was amazing! I never had any questions because she kept me informed, in detail, every step of the way. On the destination end, Edwin (I did not get his last name but I have a photo of them attached to this review) and his long-distance crew delivered my piano. Both Danielle, our move coordinator, and Edwin the driver kept me informed so there was no guessing on my end. When the Suddath team arrived at the final destination, the piano was wrapped and well protected. Edwins team did everything. All I had to do was open my front door and welcome them in. They were polite, professional, positive and kind -- a class act. Im so glad I trusted them with this moved. This was not our first move, but our experience with Suddath has been the best.

Wonderful moving experience! Brandi Gindy was our Relocation Coordinator and kept an open line of communication throughout the entire process. She and her team were professional and efficient. Our experience made relocating out of state much smoother!

Had a great delivery of military HHGs today with crew lead Brandon, along with Khalil and Khyren. They were professional and timely getting everything off the truck and into a storage unit for me despite the Florida heat.

Charles Stewart here in Jacksonville was always friendly, professional, and on top of his game. He made working with Suddath a pleasure. I was part of a New Amenity Center Committee here in a golf course community in St Johns County and we ordered furniture for our new center. Charles helped us with understanding the different quality of fabric so we would have long lasting, great looking, high quality sofas, chairs, and tables. We appreciated his expertise and highly recommend working with him on anything to do with Suddath! He met with us several times and took care of us until the end.

Suddath was hired to help us move our office furniture from Gainesville to our new office in Orlando.Not only was Logan patient while we were waiting to receive the keys to the location, he checked in on us every step of the way. The move was much larger than we expected, and Suddath, Logan and the moving team worked with us to make sure we had everything we needed, and made sure everything made it to Orlando safe and sound.The whole crew was amazing, our Regional Director of Operations had nothing but great things to say about how fast, efficient, and hard-working the team was! What really blew us out of the water was we had a sign and some childrens chairs that we needed in our Jacksonville center, and they packed them up, drove them to the Jacksonville warehouse, where I would have gladly picked them up. They went above and beyond and delivered them to our Jacksonville location.Logan has checked in several times after the move, and has let us know that he is here to help with anything we may need help with. We would definitely use them over and over!

So enjoyed the great service, promptness, professionalism of my moving crew. I did not know what to expect with COVID, and even worked in the house while they were packing and loading. I cannot say enough good things about this company, employees and moving crew. The virtual walk through and quote was pretty easy and quick. What blew me the most away was the moving crew....Edwin, Richie and Tannie were so kind, respectful, thorough, and did such an amazing job packing, loading, unloading and set up of furniture that NOT ONE thing was scratched, dented, broken, or missing! I have to say that is pretty amazing with all the stuff we had. The crew was even so careful as to remind me when they were opening doors and leaving them open as they knew I had 2 cats that might attempt to escape. I am so pleased that I used Suddath again and will continue to always use only them and ask for same crew if they are again available. Thank you Suddath for hiring such great employees!

Used Suddath for a local move. Knew we were paying more than local movers but chose to do this based on their reputation for taking care of your residence and possessions. Our local move was approximately a 30 minute drive. We only had them moving large pieces of furniture and we moved and packed all the boxes on our own. The cost was $2207. We were happy with the way they handled our things. However, they “got lost” on the way from our old house to the new. It took them over 2 hours to make the 30 minute trip. A few weeks later we got an additional bill from Suddath for $525. They said it was for additional time. To begin with we paid for 4 movers. There were only 3 present. Had there been 4, as promised, they wouldn’t have taken additional time. Also had they not been lost for over 2 hours we would have been under the time allotted.I was in contact with 2 different people on 5 different occasions refuting these charges. Suddath reviewed our case and determined there were 4 movers present based on their employees say so. This was a flat out lie by their employee and refused to believe me.I have filed a complaint with the BBB as well.**I am updating my review based on recent events. I received a call from a supervisor with Suddath. He apologized for the way this situation was handled and today I received my $525 refund. This was a satisfactory resolution. As I stated in the initial review they did an excellent job taking care of my property and possessions based on that I would recommend- we had zero damages. In the end the were very willing to work with me.

The pickup was amazing. The men were so professional and kind.However. My things were supposed to be here on the 12th. The woman calls me on Friday the 15th 5 minutes before they close so I can receive my things. I call her back at 5 and they are closed until Monday. I don’t appreciate that I was contacted right before they closed to receive my things and now I have to wait until Monday. This is extremely unacceptable.

We used Suddath here Venus in order to have our gym put in place. Chad F. And Rod M. did a fantastic job. They were very helpful and completed the job flawlessly. We will definitely use them again if we need any more help moving any other furniture or gym equipment.

I moved from Jacksonville to Tampa with Suddath on 8/28. Unfortunately, my couch was not able to fit into my new home, so my original sales rep, Perry Saunders, quoted me $150 to return the couch back to Jacksonville with the driver and to deliver it to my sisters home. After I agreed, Perry reached out to me several days later and tried to charge me $100 additional, to which I had to argue with him about. It has now been 14 days and my sister still has not received my couch. I have followed up with Perry several times and even had to supply Perry with my drivers cell phone number. Perry seems very unorganized. I couldnt imagine not having my own co-workers number and having to ask my own customer for it. Today, Perry told me that the delivery driver has become unresponsive and asked me to try and call him personally. I responded and asked Perry if I need to report my couch missing/stolen and told him he made me feel very uncomfortable by suggesting I reach out to the deliver driver (not my job). I am waiting to hear back from Perry as I am not understanding how a couch and an employee can go missing without notifying the customer and filing a claim on my behalf. I called Suddaths main line 8 times (tried reaching Customer Service for residential moves, the Operator and Claims, and the phone just rings and rings with no answer). I am not sure what next step to take and I hope someone will help me soon.

The team did a great job packing and loading all of my items for my move! It took them around 2 hours to pack up everything in my bedroom and crate it for my move to the New England area.

I had a wonderful experience with Suddath Van Lines..from Sherman Reed who provided me a quote using a video app to walk thru my entire home to assess and inventory an overall view.. to Tina who followed up on all the services from before initial pickup and after to before and after redelivery...to make sure all was well. I moved locally from my home to a newly built townhome in the same city of Jacksonville, FL. It was a complicated process that was made easier because of the full services provided by Suddath. It required Suddath to pack my belongings, store them for 11 days and redeliver them to my new townhome. Bill who was the driver and leader of a team of guys who packed and later delivered my belongings ...were outstanding. Everyone was so respectful and diligent and everything was handled without a hitch. The careful and masterful packing was impressive. I must state that Bill is a Suddath Superstar. He is a master at driving and handling the truck. He called the day before and then again before arriving the next day. He also did the same when the redelivery was scheduled 11 days later. He scoped out the route it would take to arrive on time and leave in an orderly way. He was friendly and so organized and he methodically inventoried everything. He is a great leader of his crew...showing appreciation to each member throughout the process. They worked flawlessly together. I requested them to be the ones to deliver everything 11 days later after storage. Suddath hired experts to pack and reset up my grandfather clock and marbled table tops. I loved the fact that Suddath handled everything including climate controlled warehousing for 11 days my entire home furniture, paintings, mirrors and wardrobe. Suddath has been around a long time here in Jacksonville. The Suddath family had built a great reputation and they proved to be trustworthy professionals.

In the beginning I was very upset with Terri Larson because after completing the virtual survey with her on Saturday, July 6th she told me that she would give me a call later in the week with a time for the movers to come on the 12th to pick up my daughter and son-in-laws personal items to be shipped to them in Layton, Utah. I didnt hear anything back from them until the day of at 1:57 pm when Vincent the driver called and said they were 8 minutes out. Vincent, Rod, and Chris were professional, efficient, and a joy to work with. Vincent and Rod took the time to explain everything to me so I would be more comfortable with the process. They handled my daughter and son-in-laws items in a professional manner and even took extra time to box up the liquids that they werent allowed to ship so they wouldnt be all over my daughters room. They even advised me to take some pictures to send to them because they got there orders on a Friday and had to leave on that Monday with whatever could fit in their car. Theyve been without their belongings except for the (3) 16x16 boxes that I shipped because they couldnt get a move date in the beginning. I hope the items arrive on time on 27th.

Im not sure what was worse, the crew they sent out to pack our household goods or their customer service once I filed a claim for all of the damage to my household goods. Find someone else and failing that, try building a giant slingshot to launch your things across the country. In that case, your stuff will still arrive broken, but at least the slingshot would be fun to use.After reading a number of other reviews, I should add some detail to help clarify my complaints. For starters, its worth pointing out that mine is another military move. I still havent received a settlement from the company (8 months later) and they denied my claim on a set of rare books packed improperly and damaged during the move (I was literally told that they are old books and I should expect them to have some wear and tear).In terms of packing, the company arrived with improper materials. I have a large collection of books, a point made explicit by the pre-move inspector (as in, you have a lot of books so well need to make certain that we have a lot of book boxes). The packers arrived without any book boxes--not a single one. As a result, many of our books were packed into oversized boxes and improperly at that. They also did not have any television boxes for my two flat screen televisions. Instead, they packed the two of them into a motorcycle box. Prior to the move, I called Suddath to complain about the state of the packing in general and the televisions in particular. The representative from the company informed me that I could just file a claim if anything were broken. Its worth noting that it took me several days of phone calls to even get in contact with someone at the company, which has been a consistent problem throughout this move.The company has made clear that many of their difficulties this past summer were a result of not having enough drivers available. I wish I had been so fortunate. All of my problems have been the result of Suddath having a driver available for my move.

This was a self-payed military move from an overseas location and aside from some initial missteps on both parts, I found the experience to be relatively simple and straightforward.I am very pleased with the service provided by the delivery crew, Chad F., Chris K., and Chris H. They took all necessary precautions while at our residence and accomplished the unloading of household goods in a most expedient manner. They immediately noticed and brought to my attention a single piece of damaged furniture which I observed had been caused by overpacking within the shipping crate. Pickup date of 5 Aug was missed and we werent even notified ahead of time. Estimated delivery date of 16 Aug missed and its still not been picked up. Not even a driver. 4 military moves and this one takes the cake.

We opted for the walkthrough virtual planning via mobile device. With the normal stress of moving, along with the added stress regarding the process to COVID-19 was concerning. Juan, Joe, and Gerald just packed and loaded our entire household of belongings over the last days. They were very courteous, professional, and made sure to point out any existing damage. They took great care with our items and went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. They were all 3 very easy to get along with- its nice to have a bit of fun conversation to break up the hours of work! I am sure the unloading process will be the same and I would definitely recommend Suddath and this moving crew in the future!

Great experience from Ashburn VA to Jacksonville FLSited our goods for 2 months while we found a new home. Crews were great at both homes and good communication from Kate Miley our move coordinator. Liked the virtual survey bc of COVID 19 and the crews used masks in both homes which must have been tough bc of the hot weather.Shout out to Bill our delivery driver in Jacksonville.

Were in the process of making a big move across the nation. Chad F., Chris K., and Chris H. from Suddath Jacksonville took care of my fiances requests and needs while I was at work. I came home midway of their work. Theyre very detailed oriented, had a efficient work flow, and easy to converse with about any inquiries or random talk. I saw them wrapping up all of our items, big and small, to ensure no damages during the transit. I personally didnt expect them to provide moving boxes and wrapping materials, but they did. They even repackaged our Sony PS3 with extra padding material. Everything was completed in just shy of 1.5 hours. My fiance even received the confirmation email regarding the relocation inventory immediately. Now, were stress free from all the packing and moving. Im happy to definitely recommend Suddaths professional services.

My family of four recently relocated with Suddath Relocation Systems (United) from MN to FL. This was the first time I have ever worked with a moving company, and I couldnt be happier!After reading many horror stories online, I was nervous to use a moving company, but Katie (the move coordinator with Suddath) put my fears to ease. She was polite, professional, and always took the time to answer my questions.When it came time to actually packing our items and loading the van, Amy (the driver) and her crew were amazing! Amy called me a day ahead of time to confirm everything, and provide an idea of what to expect the next few days. Everything went exactly as she anticipated.The movers were fast and they respected our property and the home we were moving out of. Nothing was damaged! What a great moving experience! The estimate done by our moving consultant, Sherman Reed, was very professional and spot on. When time came for the move, Bill and his team, were fast and very courteous. They took great care to make sure that our floors, doorways, stairs, etc. were well protected during the move. The packers were extremely careful in packing our things, loading and unloading the items . The whole process from start to finish went extremely smooth. It was well worth the cost of the move and saved a lot of stress on our part as we moved locations. The office staff also were extremely helpful and checked in on us through out the whole move. I definitely would rate the whole experience a 10 extremely satisfied with Suddath Relocation.

I recently did an across town move with Suddath, they came highly recommended. It was the easiest move ever! Henry and his crew arrived on time, laid out floor protectors as well as protecting my doorway, they even helped me dismount my bedroom TV. They were in and out in no time. The coordinators at Suddath were great at keeping me updated and answering my questions as we approached move day. Moving is always a very stressful time, but Suddath took that stress off of me! Best moving company! I would recommend them to anyone moving!
