This place is on point. See Marcus up front he knows his business. Look, Im happy. I thought I needed new brakes and rotors. But I actually needed more. A lot of places would just tell you & you wouldnt be sure. They took the time to show me the issues, and let me see the damage that had been done. The prices were what they should be, probably a little less. These guys do good honest business. Go here if you need your brakes and more done.

Marcus is amazing, if you need work done to your car, go see him. He will take good care of you. He lets you know what you need not what he wants you to buy. Also the rest of the crew are great. Theyll get you in and our as fast as possible and the job will be done right.

I was told over the phone that I could come right in and they would be able to see me, even offered me 2 coupons for an alignment . (Now I can see why they offer coupons to people) After waiting 90 minutes they took the car of someone else that had arrived after me. I walked to the tire place next door ans they will do the alignment for me. Thanks Mavis for making me wait 90 minutes, now I have a new tire place to go to.

What a great group…I had a 10am appt…I was met with a friendly smile and good conversation…Sam and Marcus were spot on, took perfect care of my van and had me out of the shop in minutes!!

Avoid at all costs. These reviews have to be fake because my experience was horrible. Called for a quote on 4 new tires and alignment. Rep said tires would be ready on Saturday and made an appointment. Showed up for appointment and tires were not there. Was told Tuesday went in Tuesday they had 2 tires not 4. Told to come in Thursday still not there. Finally following Saturday tires were there. After waiting 4 hours for the service in shop, was told alignment machine was down. Was charged 20% more than the quote over the phone without alignment. On the way home with my 4 brand new tires, one of them popped and I am now stuck with a flat tire. Was told to pay out of pocket for a tow to get the truck back to the shop. They don’t take care of customers and horrible customer service. 3 people working behind desk with only one tire tech actually working on tires. How are they still in business?

I have utilized services from the San Jose/Mandarin location twice now. Both times it has been a great experience. There are efficient and timely. The staff is very pleasant. Christy is the best. She kept me well informed and explained everything to me. I highly recommend them for tires, oil changes, alignments and fuel line flushing. GO TO MAVIS they will treat you right!!

Great experience getting my tire patched. Didnt have an appointment but dropped the truck off in the morning and got the call to come pick it up around the time they said it would be ready. Because I buy all my tires from Mavis, they didnt charge me for the job but I would have gladly paid the $22 fee.

Definitely recommend this shop. Jeff was super! I went to two different tire shops to fix the slow leaking holes in my tire but no one had time and rushed me out their shop. When I pulled into Mavis, Jeff came out and took a look at my tire and said they would fix it for me that day. After fixing the tire, Jeff said it was free of charge. I had the first appointment of the day for a wheel balancing. after 1.5 hours wait and arriving 30 minutes early they still had not touched my car. When I asked the manager about the car he said that they have two hours to get the job done. and I was next . Evidently I was not that valued as a customer, so i asked for my keys and left. Appointments are not recognized at this store.

I was leaving one appointment trying to get home for a service appointment. Bam, I get a flat tire! Luckily, Mavis Tires was just across the street. I didn’t have time for it to be fixed, so they graciously switched it out for the spare with no cost to me (of course I gave a gratuity to the mechanic that changed the tire). This location has 0 ASE mechanics and attempts to repair vehicles under no normal guidelines to follow. How do I know? I managed the facility and could no longer take the lies and inability corporate shoved down our throats. Please rethink coming here and having your vehicle serviced. Also, read the comments. The company REQUIRES employees to get Google reviews. Weird how most are related to flat repairs.... check all the stores and the reviews of 5 stars are all the same. We are FORCED to get 5 stars to boost score instead of relying on honest reviews. Be careful who you choose to do business with.

I needed my back brakes replaced and would like to wait for the work to be done. I didnt have a way back and forth in order to leave my car with them as they were so busy. They came up with a way to fit my car in and I was able to wait for it.

I was in a bind and had my tire blow. They were able to fit me in for a tire change same day and it was done within an hour. I had an extremely tight budget but they were able to work with me to make sure my car got what it needed in order to be safe. I have been to many places like Tires Plus, Tire Kingdom, Firestone, and dealerships, no one has ever been as kind and hard working as the employees here. Marcus worked the front desk and unfortunately I don’t know the name of the technician but both of them were fantastic and able to provide great service. Marcus took time and was able to explain everything to me really well. I will definitely be returning to Mavis for any and all of my cars future needs. If any of my friends or family ask I am pointing them in this direction. Beyond satisfied!

Fair and honest people. I came in because I was unsure of what needed to be done on my vehicle. As a woman, it is hard to know who to trust and these guys were so honest and fair. Jeff and the crew took time out of busy Sunday at lunch time to check my boat trailer tires, loosen and reset all lug nuts, and fill the tires to proper pressure. Did it at the drop of a hat with no charge. That is the kind of service that has kept me there for 4 sets of truck tires and 2 sets of trailer tires.

Happened upon Mavis Tires on San Jose when I needed an emergency tire replacement. Wow, I received such excellent and fast service! Everyone I came into contact with was extremely helpful and professional! Received a very good price and above and beyond service and will be using them for any future needs!

Literal worst facility ever. I was told an hour and a half for my car. After waiting two hours, spending money on food and burning in the hot sun; I called and was told my car would not be ready until 3 pm! And they can only say sorry. What is the point of an appointment????? Do not recommend.

I had a flat tire one morning and took my car to a different store (not Mavis) and was told it was going to take 4-6 hours out the door for everything. We are a single car family with a toddler so I couldn’t wait that long. I passed by Mavis and dropped it off and waited—we were out the door in less than an hour with a repaired tire! I was SO grateful for the quick service and kind faces! Will definitely be coming again.

In each new town I reside in, I seek out my tire shop because thats one of the very few things I cant and wont do myself. I just dont have the tools to do tires, body work or major suspension overhauls. These guys at Mavis are now my tire shop. They treated me with respect, friendliness and professionalism. The shop is a bustling hive of workers and they still find a little time to talk car guy stuff. I would recommend this shop to anyone needing work done that doesnt fit into the diy category.

Ordered 3 tires, when i got there, they only had 1, they told me when i got there they were discontinued but did not call me to inform me of that. Then we ordered 2 more different tires to and when i called to make sure they were there. They didnt have these ones either. Total waste of time.

Marcus at Mavis tire on San Jose Boulevard was knowledgeable did all he could to find me the tire I wanted. The install and alignment were very quick. You can have two of three: good, cheap, fast. I would say Im happy with good and fast and I did get a couple of discounts.

Woke up Sunday with a screw in my tire. Called Mavis and they were able to examine the tire right away. Jef provided answers to all my questions and they were able to save the tire and patch the puncture. Quick service, friendly technicians.

Mavis on San Jose has taken care of me on numerous occasions. Cant say enough good things about the management team and the crew. Any other Mavis I have been too is AMAZING. THIS one...NO!! THEY dont patch or plug tires. Arent interested in giving the best deal. I was QUOTED twice within 6 weeks the same price, by the local store *because its the ONLY number I have ever called. When I call back 3 days later to commit and order, (Ive been told 194.?? Out the door twice) NOW ALL OF A SUDDEN ITS 273.00. The guy on the phone says well that bv was probably without installation. Then he said well that could gave been the NEW YORK OFFICE. How.. Ive ONLY CALLED DURING OPEN HOURS and I hate to say it but NY and FL are completely different dialects. This was the worst experience without even entering the location. I asked for the very least expensive 225/50 R17.. I am SO VERY DISAPPOINTED BECAUSE I HAVE USED SERVICES AT OTHER MAVIS LOCATIONS AND NEVER FELT SO... YUCK. That was just the phone call from ONE REPRESENTATIVE.... SMH

I have a nail in my tire and I had taken it to another tire place and they say it can’t be patched so I ordered another tire and took it to Mavis to have the tire changed. Was I surprised when they told me it was a screw and it didn’t penetrate the tire! How honest is that!!! So if you’re looking for some honest people I would definitely recommend you going to them! I went to this place based on recommendation of a friend and its good review rating. I had a noise in my car which I suspected its coming from wheel bearings. Well, after about an hour waiting, they told me that I need to change both of the front wheel bearings costing me about $500. When I asked about the part cost, I realized they are up charging the parts and I decided to get a second opinion. Sure enough, the second mechanic shop said that only one of bearing for rear wheel needs to be replaced! I paid $200 and it was replaced. They said it will be noisy because I had to replace my rear tires as well which I did and the noise went down considerably. I hope this has been an honest mistake from Mavis mechanic but Id suggest to get a second opinion if you are not sure about a repair/fix.
