Wanted to take a quick minute and share a great experience. Earl was my guy and felt comfortable from the outset. Took good care of me and I will be a repeat customer. So much so I took the time to write a 5-star Google review.

Sam is the best. Hes easy to work with, honest, and will do what he can for you to get you in and out as soon as possible. This is my regular repair shop for business and personal vehicles and I have not been disappointed. Went to Mr. Good Wrench a few years back and was taken for a ride. Dont waste your time at other places. Come here and Sam will treat you right. Its the way all repair shops should be!

Manager Sam F. Initially told me, a walk in, that they might be able to get to it in 3 hours (to fix turn signal). I actually was pleased that they could fit me in that quickly. As I started to go elsewhere and arrange a ride, he called to me that he could get to it himself. Shortly, he handed me the keys, said it was fixed, and was on the house. Wonderful person to do that for a walk up!!!

I’ve been coming here for years for many automotive needs. I went in yesterday for a tire slow leak. They removed a nail and patched it up at no cost. These guys are great. I never feel like I’m being taken advantage of. They’re honest and do good work. I highly recommend.

I highly recommend Famous Tires. I was visiting from South Florida and I had an issue with one of my tires the day before I was returning back to South Florida. Even though they were extremely busy the manager, Sam Fakhouri took the time to check out my tires and he had the problem fixed in even less time that he told me it would take. My parents have also used Famous Tires and were very happy with the service they received. I will absolutely use them again if Im up in Jacksonville and need service.

Update: The district manager called me and apologized. He listened to me and is very polite. He offered me solutions to my dissatisfied experience. He welcomes me to the San Jose location which will under his management in the near future. He tried to reach out to me tenaciously and left me two voice messages. 5 star for this manager.I called three times before I came to this place after reading good reviews. Mr. Sam was nice and agreed to apply the coupon from the website, which is $20 bucks. When I first arrived, there was a guy in front of me, who gets his car wheel alignment for $49.99 with $20 coupon applied. Then Mr. Sam told me to come back next day morning for my wheel alignment, since they are about to close. I think that was reasonable. I came back the second day morning at 8:15 am. I thought about the 4 year wheel alignment, since the $20 coupon applies to all wheel alignment categories. When I got my invoice and paid by my partner, it was 79.99 with 10 dollars off. None of this was mentioned to me before the service. The service charge was raised, and the coupon discount was lowered. Before they started the service, I gave $10 for the mechanics for drinks and snacks etc. Then Mr. Sam told me that $20 coupon only applies to 1 year and up categories, which is not mentioned on the website. And $69.99 only applies to most vehicles, not mine, which is a BMW. But that was not mentioned to me before hand. I don’t mind the most vehicles price part, as long as I am told before hand. Mr. Sam told me that I could swing by and pick up the $10 from the supposedly $20 coupon, which he only applied $10. I only wanted straight forward price and honesty. It is not about that $10. I am very disappointed about how Mr. Sam told me the story differently in person and on the phone. He told me most vehicle alignments took them half hour, but mine took them two and half hours. I advise all customers who go there to communicate the price clearly before the service, otherwise your vehicle might fallout of “most vehicle” price category and your $20 coupon will get cut by 50%. I also advise you should pick up your own vehicle there instead of asking anyone else for the help, because they can raise the price to your helper who picks up the car and pays the bill for you.Oh, not to mention that I really intended to bring my other owned vehicle back for full lifetime wheel alignments, since the BMW is a lease. I truly want to give business to good honest businesses. And I always appreciate honesty from any worker or manager. Now I feel the disappointment.

As a first time customer, I was expecting great customer service, and Famous Automotive definitely met above my expectations. Not only that, but also it was closer to home. Took my Volkswagen Passat in for a bad coolant leak and a wheel alignment, it was professionally taken care of. Staff were wonderful, very friendly no hassle people who care for their customers. Prices were decent compared to the other shops out here. This place was well worth it. I dropped my minivan off at their night key drop. They called me first thing to let me know they had my tire in stock and gave me a price. I went to pick my car up and they were able to repair my tire. They didn’t charge me anything! They were polite and did everything they said they would do.

Went in yesterday for an oil change and to have them check my car over before leaving for a long road trip tomorrow, I told them it needed an oil change but I really wanted them to check the rest of it over and asked them to top off any other fluids that were low.When I was paying I asked if anything else was low, he just sort of mumbled they topped off the windshield wiper fluid and that was it.After I got home, I checked for myself and it appears they didn’t check any other fluids. My transmission fluid was below the fill line, and the coolant reservoir was empty also.I do appreciate the quick work as I was in and out within 30 min but if it’s speedy due to them cutting corners I will not be returning.After reading all the reviews on here I expected more, but this seems to be the run of the mill service station that wants to charge a premium for basic service.

Was looking for 5 tires for a Jeep. We looked elsewhere before we called Famous Automative. After calling them they recommended a tire that really fit my need. This was all done over the phone (thank you Jay) and without a deposit they ordered my tires and they installed them the next day. When I called to make an appointment. Sam the GM said. “We have some time now - bring it by before 4 today and we’ll get you back on the road so you don’t have to worry about it tomorrow”. We had some concerns about the bigger tire rubbing. He said he would test drive before we pick it up and make sure no rub. If it did - they would order a 2” lift just for the front. (They do more than tires). The tires didn’t rub and they kept their word and provided a great price and a great service.

They were very friendly when I went in for an oil change and very quick too! They have definitely gone above and beyond for me! I will definitely mention them to my friends and family!

From start to finish my experience with Famous Automotive was excellent. Not only did they save myself a $1,400 “fix” from tire minus up the street, they let me know nothing was wrong with my car at all. If you have any car trouble and want to real business, come here :)

Great service. Go see Guady. He is upfront and honest. Like any other shop, they try to sell you everything under the sun and make it seem iminenet but they are not high pressure and take no for an answer. As shops go, this is a good one. Prices are fair, ask for coupons when you arrive and save! Got here at 7, put by 9. Nice. Highly recommend.

In the past, Famous Automotive and Tire Center was known for it’s excellence; sadly, this was not my experience. The Julington Creek store seems to be having difficulty in getting competent mechanics. When my son’s truck needed new tires, it took three repeat trips to get the truck to operate without rubbing or squeaking. Famous installed the wrong size shocks for the truck which caused the tires to rub. They tried to fix the mistake by installing a lift kit which resulted in the truck squeaking. They asked us to order a part to stop the squeaking. Finally, after they installed the part, the new tire ordeal was over.Sadly, while the truck was squeaking, the gas gauge started acting up. We decided to take the truck to Famous because while the truck was there, the squeaking could be fixed too. Famous put in a new fuel pump and everything seemed fine. Within two months, the truck stopped on State Rd 13 and wouldn’t move, even the steering wouldn’t budge. We had the truck towed to a certified Toyota mechanic because we were apprehensive about using Famous again and thought the problem may have had something to do with the power steering. We learned that the truck ran out of gas because the fuel pump was installed in such a way that the gas gauge would never show the gas as getting below 3/8 full. The Toyota mechanic installed a new fuel pump and we ended up paying for two fuel pumps in two months plus towing.

This is the best automotive place in town. I had an issue that seemed impossible to fix but they stayed at it and fixed it. VERY reasonable pricing and friendly, professional staff. This is now my goto!

Famous Automotive is the best and most reliable service center in Saint Johns. They are very thorough and the cost for services is reasonable. They do not price gouge but honestly tell you what work is needed. I bring all my vehicles to them for oil changes, brakes, tires and alignment without any issues. They even fixed my flat for free, no charge, wow. The staff is very kind and understanding and mechanics are top!

I had to get new tires and I found this company through Google and the reviews left by other people. So I called them and asked for pricing and they were professional and informative and gave suggestions. I decided to make an appointment for the next day and it was a quick and smooth one. Despite being told it would take 1.5 - 2 hours for my car, it took them 45 minutes. There weren’t a lot of customers on Sunday morning, so that helps when there are less customers. Also, I’m Deaf and I prefer the paper and pen method to communicate and they were non hesitant about doing it to ensure I understood everything regarding my car. Great people! You’ll be happy you picked this place.

Front desk service agent was professional and understanding of vehicle required repairs. Performed within a reasonable amount of time. However I was required to return because my vehicle turning signals did not work as well as no break lights. I returned to the shop and these items were corrected promptly. Oversight by mechanic was the cause when replaced incorrectly after repairs.

Guari, the customer service rep at the counter is amazing. This is my third time up here in six months as I have three vehicles and he is always well spoken, polite, and accommodating. These guys are awesome, I was with my wife and 2 small children doing our weekly grocery shopping at walmart across the street when my low pressure sensor came on in our car. I saw a screw in the tread of my tire. I took it here and they were nice enough to patch our tire for FREE, within 40 minutes because we had groceries in the heat. These guys are awesome. Today I got to my customers house as I’m in the Landscaping buisness and i noticed that my back tire on my work truck had wire showing and about to blowout at any time so I called around and found this buisness when I call him around 1145am . I gave him the tire size and he told me that he would have to order it and we would have it at 3pm and would call when it was in . 2:50pm my phone rings and the manger said tire is and they can get it done today so I cleaned up and drove praying to make it to the place and I did pulled up they got to work and had me out in 15 mins . I was amaze at the customer service received and how quickly they took care of me and at a great price !! Thank you very much !!!

Wanted to share how great Famous Automotive & Tire Center really is with a real life example of kindness and service. Our nanny, new to this country and having never owned a vehicle before, purchased a used car from a dealership. She knows very little about engines and what to look for and bought the car having only test driven it and looked at the exterior body and interior. She took it in to Famous the next day as her brakes were squeaking and I told her it was likely brake pads that needed to be replaced. The Famous team put it up and found the entire underside was so corroded and rusted that it would need almost $2K of repairs. This was not a high end car, a used Nissan that she paid around $5K for. Clearly she was not going to put $2K into a $5K car, especially since she had just purchased it the day prior. The Famous crew DID NOT CHARGE HER A CENT for this work. They didnt fix anything; however, they took the time to put the car up, examine it and allowed her to take photos, probably 45 mins of work. She took the car back to the dealers and while they wouldnt refund her, they gave her a car of equal value in exchange and allowed her to take the car to a shop to have it looked over this time first before she purchased it. She takes it back to Famous and has them examine it again and it gets a clean bill of health......once again AT NO CHARGE. She purchased this car this time knowing that the Famous team inspected it for her.She needed front tires replaced after a few weeks and did not even consider shopping around anywhere else, Famous Tire is now her go to repair shop for any/all services.I have personally went here several times and always come away satisfied. I am not a gear head and only know the basics behind maintenance and am leery of repair shops but the Famous crew is decent and honest and I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone needing services on their vehicle.So nice to see businesses like this still exist. Bravo.

EXCELLENT customer service. Went last minute and they took care of me.... got an oil change, wheel alignment, brakes replacement and tune up. Maybe a few more things but my car just feels brand new out the shop, they are so sweet and very knowledgeable. Jay, just wanted to let you know that your great service was exhibited again yesterday by your manager and ?Obee. I stripped my wheel lock at home trying to get a tire back on. Your guys used an industry trick to get the other three off so I could install my normal lug nuts. No charge, just taking care of community customers. I dont go anywhere else. This was my first experience per my mother’s recommendation and she knew what she was talking about. I (thankfully) only needed a tire patched but the gentlemen working here were so courteous and helpful. I was also pleasantly surprised how clean and spacious the waiting room was. Excellent experience for a minor tire fix on a Sunday morning. I was greeted when I arrived, and requested help with a front tire issue (slow leak). They took my car in, and fixed the valve stem leak (replaced the valve stem no charge) in about 15 minutes, took my car out on the road to assure tire pressure was OK, and told me what to look out for in the event the tire encounters additional problems. I am not a Google fan by any means but logged on to specifically give these guys a shout out and for giving great customer service on a Sunday morning! I appreciate it greatly and I will recommend you to my neighbors and co-workers who live in the area. The best of luck to you and our business!

The owner of the company truly cares for his business and his customers. He offered to remediate the issue we had with his employees handling this. Great customer service!Original review: took my car for an oil change, it start leaking oil after that. Took it back to check what is going on. They replaced the oil plug with a new one, saying it was not tight correctly the first time. The car start leaking worst than before. After taking it back another time the shop told us we need to change the oil pan all together as the plugs thread is gone. They took no responsibility for any of this and we had to take the car somewhere else to fix it. What shouldve been a routine oil change turn into a $400 repair. Stay away, no warranty for their work!

Very professional staff and honest. Had a nail in my tire. They informed me that it did not puncture the interior of the tire so it didn’t need patching or replacing. Didn’t charge me anything. I was on my way in 20 minutes. Highly recommend.

I went Famous Automotive & Tire Center to get my car checked out on why it was overheating when I stop. I literally went to the kangaroo by burger king on 17 to get a drink. Backed up out of my parking spot then went to put my car in drive and it just stayed in park. I was stuck in the middle of the parking lot. I called my boyfriend freaking out. Then I decided I was going to call Calvin and see what they could do for me. Calvin asked whats wrong and I explained to him and Calvin literally said Im sending Corey to help you!! Not even 5 minutes and Corey pulled in and rigged my car so I could get to the shop so they could fix it!! If it wasnt for them my car wouldnt have been fixed. Really awesome guys there and very honest!!

Let me start by saying I’ve had some bad experiences with other auto service’s in the area and was looking for a better option. I had an oil leak so I found Famous Automotive while doing research. I took it in for a repair estimate. Although the repair was expensive the cost was not unexpected for this type of work on my particular vehicle. They provided a detailed explanation of all work required, so I approved the work and crossed my fingers. When I was still having issues they were addressed and corrected satisfactorily. So far, everything has been fine.I can definitely recommend the excellent service team here.

Calvin and the team did a great job. Tires were competitively priced and the service was outstanding. Tires, alignment and oil change all expertly done in a timely fashion. The legacy Jay and all created at Sun Tire lives on here at Famous Automotive.

Grateful for great service today! I went in without an appointment to have my headlight replaced. Most places try to refuse me for headlight service because the old Volkswagen beetles are difficult to change out. They took my car without an issue and even with several other cars being worked on, they immediately pulled my car back to be serviced. I figured it would take some time so I left and had a call within 15 minutes of leaving that it was ready. Turns out the headlight was just loose and they handed my keys with no charge. I visited the Julington Creek store today to have 4 new tires installed. The store manager, Calvin quoted me great pricing on new Michelins and had them ordered and installed in record time for me. I own a small business with a fleet of trucks and Famous Automotive has been my go to spot for my automotive needs since Calvin joined their team. I encourage all to give them a try.

My name is Aubrey Wilson, i have a 2011 MIT Galant. My tire blew out on the road about 4 miles from this shop. Desperate i threw on the spare and took it over. All my tires were in bad shape. I hate buying tires. They cost too much IMO. Not only did Calvin and his team take care of me, he gave me a more than fair price! I will go no where else ever again!! Thank you Calvin and the Team at Famous!They do more than just tires too. Oil changes balance rotation, it’s a real shop with real pros! I won’t let anyone else touch my car from this point on!

Another great experience today! I first heard of Famous automotive through word of mouth by other moms in my area. Every time I take my car here they are thorough and never try to uncharge me! They checked my brakes and plugged my tire that had a screw jammed in it for free. Customer for life!

Brought my wifes Hummer H2 in for a rear main seal and oil pan gasket. Calvin is top notch..The guys found my water pump was leaking and my pinion gasket. They fixed all issues at a very fair price and took good care of us in a very timely manor. Theses guys are top shelf. They earned my buisness from here on out. I highly recomend them.

It’s July 3 and I wanted 2 tires swapped and balanced. They are loaded up with work but they took on my job and fit my car in and didn’t seem bothered at all!!Plus they have super fast WiFi!!Nice!

I was super bummed when Jay left Suntire. Then I found out he started Famous Auto, THEN I found out there was a Famous Auto just down the road from my home. Both Calvin and Jay’s son Sam run an awesome store. Every time I go there, I get top service which is what I expected knowing how good Jay was at Suntire. Excellent service, great prices. I always heard not to trust mechanics. In this world, it’s hard to find ANYONE trustworthy. These guys are fantastic!!!

These guys are great! I called them about tire pressure sensor activation and they quoted me a price that was different than 2 other places. I asked why and they walked me thru the whole process so I knew what to expect. None of the other places did that. Brought my vehicle to them and they said it would be an hour due to other vehicles ahead of me (which I respected and was OK with). 10mins later my vehicle was done and ready to go. Went in there yesterday cranky and cold because my brand new battery went dead in my truck and my tire kept losing air and I had just been to the dealer. They took care of me even though they were extremely busy. New battery, large nail taken out of the tire and tire repaired at no cost, oil change, and reset the computer in the truck so tires were correctly identified (unlike the dealer who rotated the tires but never reset the computer so the car said right wheel leaking when it was really front wheel). I highly recommend this shop. I will no longer be taking my car to the dealer but, will instead, head over to Famous Automotive. I left in a great mood and the truck is purring right along. I enjoy when I can support local merchants and will be taking my other car to this shop soon for an oil change as well. These guys are good!

Only been there once, but so far it seems good. They do free suspension/brake inspections and when I got mine the result came across to me as pretty honest.

Amazing store!! Amazing staff!!Sam and his crew went above and beyond to take care of my vehicle. Very friendly and outgoing. No hassle. Had 4 tires installed and alignment and was by far best priced in town. Ive called 2 other shops and they couldnt get near his price. I recommend Sam and his team to anyone i know and dont know. He treats everyone equally. Il be coming here for all my vehicles and my kids vehicles.
