This store continues to amaze me! We ordered a chain saw a few months ago and they set it up and did curbside pickup for us, no extra charge! Today we purchased an orbital sander and they were out of the one we were looking for but gave us a great deal on a Milwaukee one instead! My first choice for power-tools!

A good place to go for stuff that you need

I normally don’t arrive so close to closing store hours but today was a challenging day. It is 90 degrees outside, I am 7 months pregnant, and have been trying to teach from home during COVID with two young children of my own. I was thrilled to have made it before the store closed. We have family visiting for the first time in a long time tomorrow and our hose on our water slide cracked. I had the hose with me, knew the length I needed and the size. I have been there before for it and it has taken about 3 minutes to get it and check out. I told the girl at the door as she was shutting it but it didn’t seem to matter to her. I also stated that I had a few minutes left before 5:00 as phone showed. She looked at her watch and said well it’s about 5:00 now and closed the sliding glass doors. I was extremely shocked and upset. Our family has been going there for years and I thought that was a really unprofessional and extremely rude way to treat someone. I drove down the street to ACE Hardware. They were polite and welcoming and have a new loyal customer. I will NOT be back to Hammond Hardware again and either will our family.

Can’t understand a rating lower than 5*Wow...wow...wow! What a great shopping experience! I past this store while looking for a new grill. I just moved to the States, so no experience with this. The team at Hammond Hardware took a lot of time to show me the different models and explain them in detail. Within a short time I felt the passion for service! I finally decided to buy a Broil King out of the show. To fit it into the car they helped me to disassemble some parts and put it all into my car. Again....perfect service!Back home I realized that I left a part in the store during disassembling and called the store. Since the store is about 1h drive for me they offered to ship the part free of charge! Amazing!!Thanks for the great service David and the other team member (can’t remember the name). I will see you when shopping accessories. :)

Handy full service hardware. A bit higher prices but you dont get hassled like at Menards.

It feels small. It feels crowded.. But the staff is always ready to help you. I feel that some things are a little over priced but.. They seem too always have what I am looking for. The checkout counter is a little overwhelmingly stuffed with junk for sale that we dont need. Kind of feels like they are shoving it in our face. Not a lot of room at the check out. Like I said. The place just feels very crowded with stuff. With that said.. I will tell you that they do have a shop to fix your lawn mowers and other small engine tools. The folks back there are also very nice and willing to help. I like the place !! It just feels crowded... Especially at the checkout counter.

They were able to make a very unique and old key I had broken off inside of a vehicle and was able to get out. It was the only key that I had for this vehicle and they saved my life

This hardware store is a local favorite. I came in looking for mouse poison. Immediately I was greeted by a gentleman that led me directly to pest control. There were several options available. He explained the differences which helped narrow down my selection. Parking was convenient. Perfect spot if you are in a hurry and dont want to go to the much larger competitors.

The manager went way out of his way to help me fit a water fountain valve to a fitting. I would have never been able to do it on my own. Very thankful.

Rude staff and argumentative never had troubles with any hardware store besides this one. Was told after calling about getting a window fixed that they couldnt do what they told me on the phone. Came in asked what I needed done then proceeded to laugh at me and tell me I was lying. Went to a competitor and had it done in less than an hour no questions asked. Place is a joke.
