The Crepes are so delicious! Definitely a must! The prices are indeed high, but since it is unique, I would suggest checking it out if you haven’t! Their drinks are also good! The place is clean and nice! The costumer service is good. Make sure to visit before afternoon since they usually run out of their cakes and you may end up with a few choices! Make sure to try the green tea cake, their original one and their tiramisu.
Extremely disappointed with this customer service at this location of Lady M we frequent this place as our treat of choice weekly today it well frequenting The establishment and ordering our three slices of crêpe cake for a total of $29 and change one of the slices was bad and I mean like really bad it was the chocolate slice and it tasted absolutely horrific like rotten spoiled milk when we went in to ask the lady if she would exchange it and explain to her that there is something wrong with a slice she said no exchanges no refunds no options didn’t even say she was sorry and wasn’t even open to the idea that something to be wrong with this cake we were extremely disappointed in this customer service especially at this price point usually when people overcharge for something they offer great customer service like Nordstrom or Neiman Marcus. They will not be getting our hundred and something dollars a month for treats and we will no longer be always ordering their cakes for parties at over $100 a piece. I was floored at the lack of customer service. Seriously they just lost a great customer over $9 slice of cake. That was actually so bad that no one should ever have to eat it or pay for it the other two were great as usual. But based on the lack of customer service I would not suggest or recommend using this company anymore because if something goes wrong with your order they absolutely will do nothing about it.
Their pumpkin cake taste like pumpkin pie. I recommend you buy an entire pie from Marie Calenders instead and it will be the same price as one small slice of their cake. They didnt even put whip cream and it was so expensive and obviously not worth it.
The best bakery I have tried with my wife so far, although overshadowed by the anti-aesthetic mania of offering everything in plastic containers. It would be so different to see that quality of cakes served on porcelain plates, having a tea with a kettle and in a nice cup. I add the discomfort of trying to drink hot tea in plastic cups or cut a cake with a fake knife. I know its cheaper to use disposable plastic, and in the US they love plastic. But I cant reconcile that, with the idea of aesthetics and a greener world with less waste.
The cakes here are absolutely amazing. Green tea and passion fruit crepe cake are a must-try! Other than that: very clean place, customer service was so so, the place was sooo cold (feel like the blasted the a/c).
Yum!!! Amazing flavors and the layers are insane! Seating and interior lovely, restrooms super clean and friendly service. Pricey, though- - but worth it!
I like the design of the dessert I ordered. The taste is very yummy! The pricing is really affordable, it really suited my budget.
The interior is very nice. There are lots of people working here. I do think there are more people working here than customers. There even is someone whos entire job is to open the door for you. The all-white interior is very clean and the black uniforms match well. The cakes are very nice looking. I would give the place a 5 based on interior. The reason its 5 stars is that the cakes actually tasted greasy/oily and flavorless.
Best cake I ever have, will come back for more, cake was delicious and sweet enough for my taste, pineapple and coconut were so yummy.
I suggest alternatives before choosing this place. If there is negative point I will give this place -100. I ordered a cake for my sister in law’s birthday. However, when we came to pick it up, they had sold our cake to another other customer and told us to get the cake tomorrow..... What type of business is this? You don’t take people’s money and then sell the cake to others. And the birthday is not TOMORROW.... it’s TODAY....They did not give a specific the pick up time, only said after 12:35pm. It means that before the place close, we can pick up anytime after 12:35pm. No matter how good your products are, your customer service is sucks.
Been here for quite a few times. Every time, I tried different cakes. I still remember the first time I tried lady M was in New York a few years ago. Pretty awesome. I guess when you have become a known chain, the quality for sure will be downgraded for a bit. Personally like the limited edition in Hong Kong, Sea-salted Caramel. Coffee and tea here is very so-so. Wanna say, a good coffee/tea is also crucial to bring the best out of the cake and vice verse. Service also so-so. I guess people really just come here for the cake. Nothing else. That’s what my hubby and I usually do. When we have a craving for lady M cakes, just go there, eat and leave. Lol. Price wise... yah a bit pricey but it is okay. I am gonna try the charcoal one next time.
Line of about 10 persons waiting for place to open. Tried 7: original crepe, coffee crepe, chestnut crepe, dark chocolate cake, strawberry shortcake, apple galette, and checkered cake. All the crepes were deelish and would definitely eat again, only wish i also tried the matcha too. Chocolate was great with smooth cappuccino. The FRESH squeezed OJ was gooood! Crepe and cakes pricey but worth the experience. Whole crepe cake will cost you a bill...great if you want to impress. Staff was great.
Terrible service! I brought the mooncake and they give me one with broken box!!!
I came here with my friends for an afternoon tea time. When we arrived, there was a lot of dishes sitting on unoccupied tables. The staff quickly cleaned up a table for us and promptly provided us menus. I ordered a green tea latte and a flourless chocolate cake. The presentation for the latte was beautiful, but there were pieces at the bottom of the up, which I assumed to be green tea. The chocolate cake reminded me of a brownie. Nothing wowing about the items.
We decided to get the earl grey and marron mille crepe. I personally liked the earl grey better since it had a strong tea flavor, also creamier and rich compared to the marron mille crepe. The marron mille crepe had a good ratio of crepe to cream, but wish it had a stronger chestnut flavor, the flavor was there but very subtle.
Green tea matcha please! Only $95 for a 9 inch cake! Super fluffy thin layers of crepes with layers of creamy matcha in between! The top layer of the cake had a deep green matcha topping which mellowed out the sweet cream inside. Depending on your pallets it may taste bitter but it was super tasty!
Over priced for the cake. Not that special. Each bite almost $3. Service is not good. No one ever answer the phone.
Pricey but delicious. For special occasions: worth the cost.
Pros: THE most friendly staff here (not the cashier but the lady who served us greeted us with the biggest smile and gave us the recommendation - yes 😁 I loved the pistachio!)Cons: A piece of cake was $8.50 (pretty expensive) but considering how its made, the price isnt too bad but the coffee is overpriced. Wish their Americano is max 3bux. A small cup was way too pricey ($4.50)!
Expensive but it’s really worth for it. The cakes have about 20 layers of crepe+cream. Should try.. this is very unique style and taste. I love the signature cake!!
Never answer the phone
Wow my experience here was so terrible that I can honestly say it is the worst one I have had ever getting an online order. I ordered a crepe cake through the curbside pickup app, and when I drove to the store the parking spot for curbside pickup was taken but I still marked the app as here and parked right next to it. I assumed that someone would be out shortly even though the other car had parked in the spot I was supposed to be in. I waited for 10 minutes and then finally decided to go inside and the owner lady was so rude when I asked why the cake hadnt been brought out. She told me that I didnt specify the car on the online platform, which I double checked and did. She did not care at all and had a terrible attitude when I asked her what was going on. Usually when something like this happens, the workers will ask the customer to understand and apologize. But wow, this lady didnt have basic etiquette that even store employees are taught in the beginning. She honestly could care less about my order and rudely barked at me, saying it wasnt her fault and just give her the order number so she could give me my cake. I cant believe I wasted my money here and regret all the other times I have come. Seriously the worst pick up experience I have ever had and will never be going back to Lady M again even if I got paid to go.
The best dessert I treat myself to, their early grey mille crepe cake is heaven
Very very expensive, the cakes were OK but not worth 11$ . It took me 5 bites to finish the green tea cake. THATS OVER 2$ A BITE!!!! Take your business elsewhere. Plenty of other great cake boutiques in the area.
Excellent service at this location. Very attentive staff. Place was not crowded when we went. They even had the special charcoal mille crepe cake still available. We tried several pieces and they were all as delicious as expected.
Try their signature and you won’t regret it 👌🏻
Yummy ice cream! Cute spot. The place needed a bit more tlc on cleaning, but the ice cream was yummy, waffle cones were homemade and fresh. I highly recommend the mint chocolate chip.
The cakes here are very tasty! Their original cake is like dozens of crepes on top of each other with flavor and it’s not too dense and oh so good. Their signature is very good and so is the matcha cake! Here’s a tip: if you want to order a bday cake with writing on it, make sure to do it earlier as they will make this at their main bakery and can only put writing on the cake there.
No knife was given to me this time. Maybe due to pandemic?
Good quality. Junk over the phone service.
At first I was skeptical about a slice of cake that cost $8+, but their crepe cakes (original and green tea) definitely exceeded my expectations. The texture and flavors of the crepe cakes are amazing. One slice was actually a bit much for me because it is quite rich, so I suggest sharing different slices with friends. My friends and I got the cakes to-go and ate at the outdoor seating around the plaza to avoid the gratuity fee.The plaza gets packed around lunchtime. Theres a parking structure near the back of the lot you can try. Theres also valet parking.
My sister and I decided to shop around for cakes for a family birthday party. I decided to go here first. I understand that the display of cakes is for keeping the cakes cool, but they actually hide most of their cakes in the back for people that want to eat inside (which includes a 18% gratuity tip). I tried the signature Mille Crepes. It was like I was eating rich frosting than cake. First taste was fine, but you steadily get sick of it afterward. I ordered tea with it, and it did nothing to eliminate that cloying frosting. Having fruit on the side would help. I had better cake at 85 degrees or Paris Baguette than here. This is the first and last time I will go here.
Lady M makes DELICIOUS mille cakes (crepe layered cake). Their cakes are on the more expensive end, so definitely a treat to get. Slices are $9 and full cakes go up to $90. My favorite is the matcha, but Ive tried a few others and theyre all amazing.During COVID, they have curbside pickup with the SWIPEBY app. Use code I846F to get $5 your first order of $15 or more! Quick and convenient!!
Incredible! The tiramisu and the original are so delicate and delicious.
The cake is amazing.
Love the red velvet cake, love the cheese cake one too. Can’t compare even a little bit pricy.
Excellent! Looking forward to our next visit... Thank you!
Cakes here are good, however the people help you pick cakes need to be trained! Today at 3pm theres a girl behind the counter who is the worst servant Ive ever had! A Dark hair girl. I had a very bad service and thinking about not coming back! People who can see this from lady M, you need some real servants that brings the service just as good as your cakes!
Is been two years since last time I was here. Service still bad. The cakes itself no problem. But the people work there are bad. They talk to each other in their own language ( I think is spinach) about consumers use disdainful words. Glad I understand some spinach. Go to another location if you can!
The shop is clean. The food is aesthetically pleasing. Seriously Ive never seen such beautiful cakes. The service is a bit too attentive, but they are kind. The flavor is pretty good. The crepe cake is not my cup of tea, but the mousse filling cake with matcha was so good. The only thing that stops me from making this a five star is the price. I understand it requires a llt of labor, but 8 bucks a slice is pretty steep for someone like me. Make sure to get tea when you come here. Its a must for baked goods.
I think this shop is the only french style cake shop in OC. I mean real french baking. No offense to rough-shape Amerian-style cakes. Paris Baguette that Korean company runs is pretty good, but Lady M Cake is a bit more high-end.
I love everything chocolate. The cakes are delicate with very soft texture. Lots of labor must have been put in layering these crepes.
The cakes here are delivered from LA daily so they tend to run out of the special flavors (such as Earl Grey) later in the day. Its also $1 more expensive than in LA, but there arent many cake shops here in Irvine that tastes as good.
Delicious cake. SUPER expensive for a slice of cake. Another star off for having different pricing for sitting down and taking out AND for not explaining it beforehand. The store is clean. The server behind the counter didn’t even explain the cake and I was just lost since it is my first time in the shop. But regardless, the cake is delicious and my wife and children love it (although the shop’s target market is more toward affluent OC housewives who have time for afternoon tea and chit chat).
Terrible customer service. They dont consider customer side, but only care about their profit.
The pastry is very good as expectedAs for the service (waiting staff)They sat us party of 5 took the order and brought our order from there on they not even once came over to ask if we needed anythingthis kind of service sometimes happen at establishment when they are super busyBut they were not even 70% fullWe had to flag down a buslady to order another coffee. The only time we saw our waitress at our table was when she brought our checkI took that opportunity to ask her for water I had to ask for something that is a basic?????The one thing that motivated me to write this review was they added on 20% gratitude automatically with no and poor service. 20% tip to bring the cake and check REALLY!!!!!!!!!!
The cake wasn’t customized at all. There was only a piece of extra small one with text. They ask you to assemble it by yourself.
Sometimes there is a long line of people waiting to place an order
I have called millions of times, but no one answers the phone. I don’t know why they listed their phone # for... They will hand up on you after 5 mins of waiting time on the phone line. Also, Lady M customer service really sucks and the Irvine store staffs are very RUDE. No more Lady M cakes.
Best stuff in da town. Drove and this is best quality.
Delicious cake but definitely way overpriced I dont think I would go back for that kind of money.
First, the cakes are very good. However, they have the worst customer service especially if you want to order something online or through the phone. First there is not a direct number to the Irvine location and you have to call the SoCal main number first. Second, the main number is not automated. You have to talk to someone to be transferred, and it is always the same rude guy you have to talk to. Then Irvine location never picked up there phone. So if you want to call again, you have to talk to the same rude guy to be transferred - and repeat the same thing again. Then if you talk to the online representative, they will give you another phone number to call, but then you have to be transferred to the irvine location again, which means no one will pick up the phone. Thanks LadyM!
Good service! The cake is not so sweet, good! And coffee just so so.
I had been a big fan since Id had it for the first time 8 years ago in NY. However, this location just doesnt measure up, maybe I just became tire of the Lady M taste. Their green tea mille creps is still mostly on point; however, the mont blanc is nothing compare to what I remembered from NY. For the price you are paying, you do want something special, and I have to say they do not deliver here.
The seating area is crowded. The service needs to be better. Wish Chaumont Bakery could open a franchise here.
I love lady m. It’s not super sweet. It is just right.
Not tasty and unreasonably expensive. As for the Black Forest it is just awful.
Pastries are good, they could have more variety though. Would go back.
Awesome I have a crepes cake for may birthday not to sweet just delicious
Gotta try it. So very good
Pricey but good, almost $10.00 for peice
Yummy. Recommended. 10 stars.
Way over priced and bland. Especially compared to the superior recipes and lower prices of Europe, this is lame
Normally, I m the kind of person who give full stars. But I really want to give 0 STAR for this store! The service is HORRIBLE! I bought 4 slices cake and one ICED CAFFE LATTE to go. I gave them 15% TIPS! They told me I have to wait for my order and I totally understand they are busy. However; I came back 25 mins later and they totally ignore me. So I asked the guy who placed the order for me. He told me its not read yet. I waited for another 5 mins and I saw my order was put at the back of the cashier. Hence I asked a lady to get it for me. She ONLY give me the cake. NO DRINKS! I double checked with her and she asked for my receipt. The thing is that they never gave me my receipt! So she looked up my order in the computer and after several mins she brought me out a caffe has been made for a while. I told her I order caffe latte and she checked in the system and ask me to wait. After another 5 mins she came out with a hot drink. I told her I orders the ice one. She said I didnt. I told her just throw it, I dont want anymore! I spent 40 MINS being treated so rudely! If this is how they treat customers and why I gave them tips, I will NEVER come to this place! NEVER!
If you dine in, they charge tax & 18% gratuity. Oh my my...boo!!!
Strawberry shortcake, and red velvet cake is so delicious there
The cake tastes bad and the service isn’t quite friendly.
Not as good as the one in NYC but service is good
Overpriced
Chocolate mouse was good but not a fan of the signature crepe cake. Pricey. Parking lot is horrible.
Mandatory 15% tips on the bill, Why? Unreasonable and unacceptable. Never come back again.
Goood pleas and good sweet
Shout out to Mark and Dominick for the super customer service!! Thanks for a super smooth cake order the cake was delicious will be back soon!!!
Good
Nice crepe cakes but a bit expensive, so-so customer service
It is worth to wait in a line.
The crepe cakes are amazing!!!
Perfect place for Tea time
Expensive beautiful cake. Strange customer service
Overpriced cake, no price tag showing, ask the price before ordering.
