We have visited this spot to buy some egg sandwiches, and they were delicious. The app is super easy to use and everything was cooked fairly quickly. A very nice place to get a quick snack.

These donuts are Plain Jane if you dont get them fresh and hot so you need to come here. Besides their appeal is also in building your own donut. They have merch if you love these donuts. They have cute unique rubber duckies too. I like them hot but not so much room temperature. Ive had far better donuts but the freshness and build your own donut aspects make these donuts worth it. The donut girl was really nice!

Visited this location recently. Enjoyed two donuts (French Toast & Blueberry Cheesecake) and a Cafe Mocha. The clerk was friendly and attentive. Unfortunately, this store has no indoor seating, and as of a Saturday morning around 9 am, no outdoor seating. The store is located directly across the street from the Von Karman Towers business complex.

Very sweet and playful flavors combined with airy dough. Fast and friendly service with clean interiors. Ample parking. A bit pricey compared to major chains, but lots of creative flavors.

Wow. Duck Doughnuts just made my top 3 for best doughnut spots in OC right up there with Sidecar and JD Flannel. Their doughnut is a different style all its own. Theyre not a cake doughnut and not quite a yeast. Imagine a hot, fresh funnel cake - only in doughnut form. Thats a Duck Doughnut.Theyre not kidding when they say their doughnuts are made fresh. When you place your order, you can choose one of their signature flavor combos or design your own doughnut and pick your own glazes and toppings! The team will make your doughnut, generously top it, and then hand you a little cardboard box with your warm, delicious, made to order doughnut (the box is very accurate). I recommend sitting down and enjoying your doughnut immediately. Theres nothing like it.

Love the made fresh nature of the place with pretty much infinite customizable options. However some of the donuts I feel are either not made correctly or just arent designed to work right. I have ordered the raspberry fluff twice and twice it turns into a mess before I can eat it. All the toppings melt off leaving basically a plain cake donut with a hint of what was once on it.

When they say “made to order donuts” they mean it. Each time to visit they will freshly make your donuts and the best part is you can watch them decorate each one! Or don’t if you don’t like that sort of thing. But he warned, you will miss out on all the fun. Duck Donuts also has a plethora, yes I said that word, of flavors to choose from and you can customize each one to your liking. These donuts are perfect for any gathering I promise you. Really delicious donuts served up in unassuming storefront as part of a larger strip mall. The donuts are quite unique as they have a very cake like batter and very fluffy although a tiny bit small. They have tons of flavors including their signature collection to their seasonal holiday options. They even have a promotion at the time of this writing where they will give you two donuts or $5 off a dozen donuts if you write a review on yelp. Check this place out if youre in the area.

I went to their Irvine location. Parking plaza can be a challenge but well worth it for some yummy donuts. I tried the blueberry donut from their selected menu. Soft and doughy inside. Warm donuts just melts in your mouth. Would definitely come back and plan to order some dozens for my office.

They are the dense cake style donut. Theyre not the light fluffy yeast type donuts. If you like cake style donuts then these are the best youll find. Unfortunately I prefer light fluffy yeast type donuts. Anyway their donuts are hot fresh and made to order, which is nice. Their coffee is not bad either.

Went here thinking I could get a custard doughnut and was wrong lol. However, they unique flavors of fresh made warm doughnuts are delicious and I would highly recommend. Just be aware that they will not have one “style” of doughnuts with different toppings. That “style” is like an original cake doughnut type. Super delicious though! Also a little more pricey than a regular doughnut shop...2 doughnuts cost me $4.50. Would recommend giving them a try.

Anika was very rude. I’ve been coming to duck donuts for years and never had any issues before. Anika also had her hair all over the place and never changed her gloves in between helping at the register and then making donuts. Won’t be coming back to this location. I’ll check out the dessert place next door next time.

We ordered a 1/2 dozen and took maybe 1-2 minutes to decide on our donuts. It really seemed like we were bothering her, or maybe something we did irked her. I just brushed it off, maybe shes having a bad day.When they called our order, my wife goes excitedly pick up the donuts and says something along the lines, these look amazing - to which the lady ignored and just walked away. We then set our box near the trash bin and began cutting our donuts so itd be easier to eat when we head outside. The lady then says something to the effect, you know this is a to go place right?. In the moment, I wanted to ask her, whats your problem, but had self control and we just left.I dont know why she needed to be so rude. Sure, by the time our donuts were done, it was almost 8PM (the time their store closes). Maybe she had a bad day and wanted to get home, who knows. Doesnt give her the right to take it out on her customers.If you plan on checking out Duck Donuts, just go for the donuts, dont go expecting a good experience. Think, Chinese restaurant, go for the food not the service. Oh, and remember, its to go only, so get your donuts and leave right away before they yell at you.

I have lived in Irvine for a while now but I never heard of Duck Donuts until my friend from college told me to try them. OMG! I did not know that they make them fresh. The donuts were fresh, warm and DELICIOUS! My wife and I enjoyed them with our coffee. I need to come back for more!

Ive gone to Duck Donuts three times in four weeks and have yet to be disappointed. My favorites are French toast and peach cobbler, but the new Fall pumpkin flavors are pretty great too. They take a while to be ready, but thats why theyre so good--these are seriously fresh and so warm and luscious. Definitely recommend. Im really looking forward to my next trip to try even more flavors!

Absolutely delicious! Ordered online, got there a bit early and watched them finish dressing my dozen. I didnt make it easy on them, each one was different, but they were made perfectly as I ordered. Still warm when they were handed to me. Every flavor I had was yummy, but I have to say the blueberry icing was absolutely HEAVENLY! Even had pieces of real blueberries! And the peanut butter icing with blackberry drizzle was reminiscent of a PB&J from childhood! A must for everyone!

First of all, these donuts are a little smaller and more expensive than your typical donut. But heres the thing- these donuts are made while you wait. You cant get fresher than that! You get them hot, gooey, and very tasty. These are not eat-while-you-drive donuts. They are too messy for that. I had the blueberry pancake, and the caramel apple donuts. They were great! You really need to try this place! You wont be disappointed!

The product was great but the quality of service was below what is typically displayed at this location.The staff working didnt seem interested in serving donuts or communicating with customers. This was completely different from our first visit, in which the manager was extremely friendly and demonstrated a genuine delight in what she was doing. That was not present today.Furthermore, I appreciate the military discount offered by Duck Donuts, but it appears that the cashier wasnt exactly sure how to apply it. I received a 45 cents discount on a $17.45 bill (a 2.5% discount). When I inquired about the percentage of the discount, the response was Im not sure.I would like to think that this was a one-off experience for such a good location.

Such a fun little donut shop. The kids really enjoyed making their own flavors, my oldest figured out how to do his version of a Neapolitan and he was quite excited. The staff was smiley and informative, they were entertaining a Girl Scout troop in the back and everyone looked like they were having a great time. We’ll be back for sure.

The best part is that the donuts are all made fresh and served warm. So tasty!St $2.25 per donut, its definitely pricier than your typical donut shop, but worth it if you customize! Considering that people paid upwards of $3-4 for cupcakes during the craze, $2.25 isnt that out there for a fancy donut. Ill be back when Im craving something sweet!

These are seriously the best donuts in OC! So easy to order online for curbside pickup. They are nice and warm when they give them to you. The batter they use for the donuts is perfect. So yummy!

The day Duck Donuts came from the East Coast to Irvine was a wondrous, magical day. For those unfamiliar with the chain, you get to choose how to ice, top, and drizzle your donut (there are a lot of preset combinations or you can create your own). After that, a fresh, bare donut comes off the conveyor, and the donut is prepared right in front of you. Once youve had a piping hot, custom-made donut, other donuts just dont cut it. Enjoy!!

I ordered the Duck Dozen and every flavor was AMAZING! Also, I placed my order online and ordered it to the Huntington location instead of the Irvine location by mistake. The woman working the counter was so nice and made another dozen for me on the spot at no extra charge. So nice! Will definitely be going back!!!

The frosting has a very gritty texture which Im not the biggest fan of. And they use an overwhelming amount of sugar in their ingredients. Probably one of the sweetest donuts Ive ever had.Although decent, I probably wouldnt come here again. Great place to take the kids because they make each donut from scratch right in front of you, which can be a fun little experience.

Such a pleasant surprise and so happy I stumbled upon this gem of a donut shop! I always feel like I get lucky when Im able to get a fresh donut at other establishments but to have a fresh donut upon each visit and order was mind blowing for me! It is definitely a game changer! The donut its self is lightly sweetened with a vanilla flavor. I got mine with a vanilla glaze with half sprinkles and oreo. I inhaled it within 10 secs and was in donut bliss. Duck Donuts in general is a great place. Before this location Ive only tried them in New York and always had a great experience. This location provided great service and did a good job making the donuts, but for some reason they werent as good as the ones in New York. Maybe I just got a bad batch

Probably went on the worst day of the year. National donut day. The wait was over an hour and a half they were not organized. However at the end of all of it I did wait and the donuts were amazing. Would go back on a day just not on national donut day.

Not gonna lie i was expecting a lot more regarding the previous reviews... however when i received my coffee and chocolate donut, it was utterly disgusting as it was watered down and had some unusual substance in the coffee. the donut was very bland and was more of a cake feeling rather than a delicious donut. i payed 8 dollars for this useless piece of sh*t.

All donuts share the same vanilla cake base and are just topped differently. The bacon one didnt have much bacon flavor. The smores one was kinda what you expect and unfortunately no more. To be honest, most of the donuts just tasted like that same vanilla cake base, so if you like that, then this place will work for you. If youre going for a real variety of flavors (jelly, cream, chocolate, yeast donuts), then I wouldnt recommend Duck Donuts for you.
