The experience was stellar. Great facility, high tech equipment to measure my eye and photograph the back of my eye. Never had that done before. They exam was extensive and informative. I highly recommend them because they specialize in people with low vision and eye diseases

I had my annual eye exam @ Iris Bright Optometry which is inside LensCrafters. The Dr. and her associates were very knowledgeable and addressed my eye care concerns thoroughly. The exam lasted nearly an hour. I also purchased a few pairs of glasses from the store. The sales reps were very considerate in helping me choose frames that fit my needs. Friendly place to visit, and I highly recommend them!

Came in with my daughter so that both of us could get our eyes checked. She mentioned a few times that it was hard to see, distance wise, so I made the appointment right away. I am so thankful that I chose Iris Bright Optometry, which is located inside the Irvine Lens Crafters. This was my daughters first time visiting an Optometrist and she was super nervous. Dr. Cheng and his staff were so amazing and gentle, explaining everything they were doing and why they were doing it. They definitely made her excited to learn more about her eyes! Every time I come for an appointment, I have to fill out all these forms. I would like to be able to fill them out on-line or as pdf file. That way the forms are saved and I only have to make corrections for things that have changed during the year. Otherwise, I was happy with my visit to Iris Bright Optometry.

Dr. Chang was great as always. She is very patient and took care of lots of details. Really trust her as my premier eye care doctor. Other staffs were also great to work with. Great experience!

She did a thorough eye exam and explained everything. The customer service from all the assistants was also wonderful too!———————I’ve never written a review but I am absolutely compelled to write one for Dr. Chang. I went to see her after suffering from dry eyes. My journey started in March 2020 when I started feeling my eyes were dry. Due to the pandemic, I didn’t see a doctor until July 2020. I saw three doctors (family, optometrist and ophthalmologist) before seeing Dr. Chang at the end of September 2020. While all three doctors were helpful in providing short term relief, my eyes still continued to feel dry. I went to see Dr. Chang for the TearCare system. My last appointment was at the end of December 2020. My eyes feel 100% better, thanks to Dr. Chang and her advice for continued and long term success. I feel very lucky to have found Dr. Chang, and I am super grateful for her in helping me with my dry eyes. I wish I had found her back in July! I highly recommend Dr. Chang, not only if you suffer from dry eyes. She is kind, warm, compassionate and truly wonderful. She takes her time to be thorough and answer any questions. She is truly a gem. Her staff is also amazingly wonderful too!

My husband needed glasses desperately as he lost them,so we called what we thought was lens crafter. We got Iris bright optometry. The service was terrible. the assistant had to redo the exam 5 times on each eye which caused a vestibular disruption to his system and he woke up with horrible vertigo in the middle of the night right after the exam. He received his prescription only to find out later that the prescription was completely off and way too low for what he needed per his old optometrist. We called the company back to see what kind of customer service they offered and if they were willing to at all work with us since we paid for an exam that made him ill and the prescription was completely wrong. They were completely unwilling to compromise in any way. Buyer beware. Our experience was very negative!

This was my first time at this location A few days ago but I have been with LensCrafters for a few years now. This practice has the widest range and nicest selection of designer frames that I’ve been to so I’m glad I switched over from Fashion Island, plus it’s closer to my house. The doctor and staff were friendly but the downfall seemed to be time management. I arrived about 5-10 minutes before my actual appointment, checked in, filled out forms (if there is an option in the future to go online and complete ahead of time, I’m confident this will save time) and browsed around since they were not ready for me yet. At that point, I already knew the frames I wanted to purchase. By the time I got to the Dr. for my exam, I had been there for an hour. From start to finish, I was there almost 2 hours. I did not plan 2 hours for an eye exam and ran into my afternoon plans. It was pretty busy, I’m not sure if this is what the normal day looks like since it was my first time, but it seemed too busy for only 1 doctor at a time. I will go back for my next annual exam because of the selection with hopes there is better practice management in place.

I was taken care of as soon as I arrived. The exam felt very comprehensive and the doctor addressed my issues and was very good about making sure all my questions were answered.

Very thorough eye exam performed here, all using state-of-the-art equipment including Optomap for retinal imaging. Friendly & welcoming front desk staff. The tech (Jordan?) and Dr. Abdali were knowledgeable, professional & caring, taking their time with me and patiently answering all my questions. No rushing at all - my exam took around 90 min. Friendly price too. The office (inside Lenscrafters) is super clean, comfortable & modern. Plenty of parking at Los Olivos Marketplace. Im very happy to have found Iris Bright Optometry and highly recommend!

I could not have had a better time that I did today in the office. The staff was so kind and friendly, and they always go out of their way to make everyone feel comfortable and welcome. The real treasure, however, is the doc! I would follow her anywhere, and she is everything a doctor should be. Had a wonderful visit with Dr.Chang and staff. After almost ten years without visiting an optometrist I’m glad I went here for my exam. They are taking all precautions due to Covid. Everything was wiped down before use. Dr.Chang was very nice and made sure all my questions were answered. Highly recommend the new no dilation technology. Overall will definitely be back next year for my annual eye exam.

I scheduled an eye exam and was quoted a $10 copay using my insurance. After they did all the tests, they said my bill was $49 which includes an additional exam that I thought was included in my copay. I don’t appreciate that they would not tell me this upfront. Then, when I picked out a pair of frames, they quoted me the most expensive lenses and not give me all the options upfront. I do realize it’s a business but I feel like I’m in a used car lot dealing with them because of these other fees that were not properly disclosed.

Store was clean. Sanitation measures were off the chart. Check-in was smooth. First tech was outstanding. Second tech was just as nice. Eye doctor was AMAZING. Then, I was greeted by the store manager on the way out. I was very impressed. And, all in about an hour.

I was so nervous coming in for the Tear Eye Procedure but Dr. Chang and her assistant Kim made me feel so at ease. It was relaxing with mimimal tention. They were so professional and reassured me everything would be fine and it was😉😁 Thankyou

Great experience throughout the process. The exam went very smooth and Dr. Chang was great! My daughter was getting her first pair of adult glasses and so it was a bit of a challenge to find the right ones. We had tons of help finding the perfect frame for her. Glasses were ready in less than an hour.

This is the place that definitely I will re-visit if I ever need to get a eye exam or prescription. Everyone who works there are super friendly, helpful and professional.I felt bad that I didn’t capture the names of whoever helped me today, but they are all awesome.

The doctor herself was fantastic, but I had to wait 26 minutes for someone to see me, even though the facility appeared empty and there were tons of staff standing around. Normally Id ignore that because its COVID and were all trying our best, but Iris Bright must have sent me like a hundred annoying text and email reminders for my appointment. I did my part and showed up on time after all that pestering and was rewarded with a giant wait and poor communication on what the holdup was and when Id be seen.

An absolutely sweet and professional environment! A very kind, compassionate and good doctor! Very helpful and professional staff! I will go to wherever docor Cheng will go. Thank you!!!!!!!!

Dr. Clara Chang is hands-down the best eye doctor Ive ever visited -- and Ive visited many! In addition to being very nearsighted, Ive been suffering from dry eyes for the past two years. Every other doctor would just give me prescription strength Bausch and Lomb eye drops, which provided only temporary relief at best. Dr. Clara, on the other hand, took the time to go to the root of my issue. She asked many questions and listened carefully. She understands that dry eyes are a complex problem and therefore must be addressed multiple ways: 1. Taking PRN De3 (the highest quality, triglyceride form of Omega-3s); 2. Decreased contact lens usage (Ive been wearing contact lens for 20 years); 3. More blinking throughout the day (something that contact lens wearers tend to neglect); 4. Decreased screen time (I use the computer all day and into night); 5. Avenova cleaning of eyelids; 6. The advanced TearCare procedure.TearCare is a special new technology that is not offered at many other practices. Dr. Clara was so thorough throughout the entire procedure, which involves cleaning the eyes/lashes, heating the eyelids for 15 minutes, and then carefully extracting the oil from the glands so that you can start creating healthy tears. Dr. Clara repeatedly asked how I was doing to make sure that I was not experiencing any discomfort during the extraction. The procedure was easy and pain-free because her hands are very gentle and careful.Coupling TearCare with all of Dr. Claras other recommendations has been a game-changer. My eyes are already feeling better a week after the procedure. Dr. Clara did say I could use preservative-free eye drops (single-use rather than a bottle, as many doctors usually recommend). But she stressed that eye drops are only a Band-aid -- which shows that she is all about addressing the deeper causes of an issue rather than giving you a quick fix. She is someone who is constantly staying up-to-date on the latest advances and making sure she continues her education.If youre looking for a kind, patient, conscientious, and knowledgeable doctor, Dr. Clara is THE ONE! I cant recommend her more highly, even if you dont have dry eyes.Another plus -- the office is super new, clean, and pretty! Conveniently located with plenty of parking.

It was an experience like I have never experienced before for an eye exam. Doctor Farley is the best. You should use her chair side manner as an example for training purposes. A real gem!I also cannot say enough about the entire staff at Lens Crafters either. Kept everything light and casual. You should send all your new employees for training at your facility in Irvine.

I went here, inside of LensCrafters, for my eye exam and could not have been more pleased. Dr. Clara Chang is extremely professional and uses the most advanced technology where you no longer have to have your eyes dilated. Instead, they have a machine that simply takes a picture of your eyes and gives you an immediate and thorough read-out. Highly recommend!!

My exam went well, thanks to Dr. Chang who gave me good tips on eye care and recommended me products to help with eye relief given my use of computer between 10-15 hours per day.Dr. Chang was consistent and steady in carrying out my eye exam. She also went over the retina image with me to help make sure I understood some of the image details that I had questions about.The store staff were really friendly. Greeted me and instantly offered to help as soon as I stepped into the store, which made me as a customer feel welcomed.This location made my new eyeglasses really quickly. What draws me to this office is the technology used during my eye exam because each time Ive come, I feel I have the best chance of getting a good and thorough eye exam. More importantly, I really like Dr. Chang because she explains things in ways I can understand.I have never heard of meibomian glands before and shes the one who noticed they were clogged, for which she gave me easy treatment recommendations.Thank you Dr. Chang for a pleasant and caring patient experience!

Wow, I really like this new location!This is my second year going to Dr. Chang. I was referred to her by friends and I love how sweet and caring she is. She always takes the time to review and explain any changes she sees in my vision. I dont feel rushed like at some other places.Not sure if they got new equipment or not but its all digital. I didnt have to do dilation today because Emily showed me they have this Optomap machine that allows the doctor to see the back of my eyes without dilation. So much better!
