We like this location because the staff is friendly and they got our orders right. Coffee definitely tastes great here than other chains. Also, they are kind to people with allergies and food restrictions.

All you starbucks lovers, you seriously need to stop guzzling this sugar loaded, bad quality coffee. Try Petes!! Hands down, this is such an authentic and refreshing coffee I have had in a long time. I have just uninstalled starbucks app and replaced it with Petes coffee app. This is my go to coffee place from now on!

Love going here for my Peets indulgence. The staff are really nice and patient. There are usually a good amount of people here - either studying or playing chess so seats are seldom free.

Always friendly and seating area is almost always clean. It can get busy inside and out but thats because its a popular spot in a busy plaza. The employees have always been quick to refill the half-n-half containers and to come out to wipe down the tables.That being said and despite my 5 star review, I really hate Peets coffee, the actual coffee, not the business.The beans that are used for the normal drip coffees are always over roasted, resulting in burned/bitter coffee.But its still better than Starbucks.I come here because of the location and the service. I will buy a decent product that is served with a smile rather than a great product that is served with contempt.Thanks Peets Coffee employees for always doing your best to brighten my day. This location used to have a lot of good employees with great customer service for years when I got my drinks and pastries from there for 8 years, but when they hired newer employees their customer service went down the drain. They hired a lot of disrespectful people, whenever I was in Irvine I stopped by at this Peet’s tea hoping it would better customer service then before but I was wrong for thinking they changed. They leave the tea pot on the counter and tell me to pour it myself, also they have a serious look on their face every time I go there. One time a girl that worked their refused service when I arrived 10 minutes before closing time, she kept arguing with me until it was time to close and then told me that she can’t make my tea cause it’s closing time. She finally agreed to make it but she made it with tea bags when I told her to make it with loose leaves, so I asked for a refund. She pretended like she refunded me when she didn’t, there for she stole from me. They didn’t discipline or fire her but they only gave me a free tea card for next time I go back. Now I don’t go to this location anymore.

Peet’s Coffee rocks! I first fell in love with there smooth and creamy lattes about 2 years ago and when i found out that they were going to be just a few steps away from salon 801, i was so excited to have another amazing business join us in Mint plaza. It’s not the most aesthetic or spacious coffee shop, but it is a reliable place to get work done.Free, fast internet. Some outlets are spread throughout the shop but there definitely isn’t power to every table. So if you decide to do work there, make sure you come with a fully charged laptop and just keep an eye on the tables that do have access to an outlet.There is also quite a bit of foot traffic at this Peet’s and there are older groups who like to get together for chess games.

Sweet, good coffee just like you had in mind. The mocha frappuccino is great in the summer.

My favorite matcha almond milk Latte spot. They make a perfectly crafted beverage every time. I always ask for half the sweetener to appease my pallet. They also carry mighty leaf tea and you get a free cup of tea or coffee if you buy a tea tin or coffee pound. Pretty good deal!

The staff were friendly and very busy. I had been seeing a really delicious Petes beverage advertisement every day 2 or 3 times a day for over a month. After choosing to go to Petes to try this over advertised beverage . They dont even carry it.....false advertising and annoying. Grow up Petey

My dad was trying to order coffee, and this lady behind the counter was very rude to my dad. My dad couldn’t hear her or understand her all he did was ask her to speak up and slow down. As we were walking to sit down she gave my dad and I a dirty look. Then when his did come it wasn’t what he ordered. The other staff was respectful and professional that’s why I put two instead of one. I wish I got her name. Totally ruined my morning so rude.

Tried the Black Tie Cold Brew, it was a bit overly sweet for my taste. Generally Peet’s is mostly decent coffee but this space seemed a bit run down.

I loved the matcha at this place.

The drinks were great and the customer service was decent. However the store size and shape is a little awkward especially on a busy day at the Cafe as there is no place to wait or sit.

The Peets Coffee is the best place to go for homemade ice cream. Their prices are amazing and the ice cream is so fresh and perfect. I love the maple walnut and pistachio. I never go to Baskin Robbins or carvel anymore. This is so much better... taste,customer service, and price wise!

Mocha-Latte spectacular! They only had 2 types of Light roasted beans. The lighter the roast, the more caffeine in it!

Quick service, clean bathroom, and ample seating. Parking is doing around lunch time, but other times are easy.

Great coffee, especially coffee drinks like a cinnamon mocha when its cold out or espresso javivas with chocolate and lots of cinnamon mixed in when its hot outside. Sitting outside with friends or your dog is a great way to enjoy your drink.

U can feel the real taste of the beans.

Coffee and place is nice. Good alternative. The only thing hindering it from a 5 star is the crappy Wifi. Its too slow to be useful. Unfortunately Ill have to go elsewhere if I want to get any work done while enjoying a good cup of coffee. There is no reason for my phone to have 50X faster internet than whats available here.

A great place for a matcha latte.

Cashier was patient with me as I decided what to order. The latte I got was made quickly and was a good temperature. A little crowded and there arent a lot of available seats around noon, but everything else is great.

I like the quality of their coffee over Starbucks. The service is relatively fast and the people that work there are quite friendly. Although I am on a paleo diet, their selection of pastries is large and looks delish.

Nice Corner location in The Crossroads Shopping Center next to Wingstop and close to Creamistry. Wi-Fi is excellent. The seating area is smallish for this busy Power Center. Nice selection of freshly roasted beans for you coffee lovers that want to take home some good Peets Coffee for your espresso machine or coffee maker. They will of course, grind the beans for you.

I am fan of Starbucks or dunkin donuts. I didnt like peets so much until yesterday.I want to buy 10 small early grey tea. But I want hot water separate.When I order 10 tea like this, Jordan (cashier) couldnt find a hıt water box for me. He did amazing job. He gave me big tea pot. He told me that use it and bring it back. He also offer me buy box of tea bags. I also saved money.He did amazing job. I really really will be fan of Peets now

I bought a pound of coffee and in this place (unlike other Peets locations I tried) they used to put their dirty hands in the bag before putting under grinder. Other locations I bough coffee from they have procedure in place to fill the bag with beans first and then put under the grinder, so they dont have to use their hands for the bag to expand.I bought house blend and this is second time that the coffee in this location is not fresh. Not sure why, if this is because their silver bag is not closed or simply they order too many bags an they are simply old.BTW, some of their employees are like the ones from Ralphs (tired, overworked and moody).UPDATE: they dont put their hands in the bag anymore and teh coffee was fresh

Im slowly moving away from my usual starbucks visits and finding myself here at Peets. The coffee is strong and good and the servers here always seem to be in a good mood which makes my day early in the morning.

That being said, after trying a latte at Peet’s I can no longer recommend Starbucks for anything other than convenience. If you are in the area and looking for a decently priced latte, coffee, beans, tea, or frozen drink then please come to Peet’s rather than the other coffee shops in the area!The beans for home brewing all have the roast date printed on them which is awesome. Rather than telling me they expire months from now, telling me when they were roasted lets me decide how long they should last and how coarse I should grind them. The major Dickenson is pretty solid choice and it is what they typically brew for their espresso, but the other beans I have tried have all been excellent. The real highlight, though, is the hot lattes. The milk that they steam comes out with the perfect amount of creaminess. I have never been served the cheap bubbles that are common at the various competitors. I can’t speak on the flavored lattes, but with such an amazing latte I can’t imagine that the flavored ones are anything short of perfect.Over a year ago Peet’s switched the iced coffee to a cold brew, and I would say that it is on par with Starbuck’s cold brew (albeit weaker on the caffeine). Peet’s doesn’t charge more for the cold brew, though, and it has become my staple drink. The hot coffee is brewed very regularly and tastes awesome.There is rarely more than two people in line and the service is fast. The indoor area is clean, but I have never stayed to enjoy my drink (always on the go). It’s usually fairly quiet, and the music is hardly noticeable so I would recommend it as a study location. The weekends can get a little loud from conversation, but not any more than the other coffee shops I visit. I have used the ample outdoor seating when I bring my dogs, and it makes for a pleasant morning. Plenty of shaded seating if you like to study or drink outdoors.The iced teas are also quite good, but I haven’t tried any of the hot teas they offer. Their frozen blended drink, Javiva, is pretty awesome, too. I believe it’s made from real coffee instead of the powdered extracts/flavors as most competitors are. Cool if you’re in to that, but the takeaway is it tastes great no matter how it’s made.The bottom line is Peet’s has great coffee with a commitment to flavor and freshness. I can’t recommend them enough!
