Ive been buying at this store for many years, as did my late cousin for his commercial painting and wallcovering business. Ive had some excellent service and products from this store.But were dealing with a situation right now that is distasteful enough that I feel compelled to write a review.I sent my contractor in with a piece of manmade decking to get exterior deck/porch paint mixed to match, with our intention being to use the paint on wood deck boards that are also part of the extensive deck system. My contractor, who is also a pastor at a sizable church, affirms that he properly described our need to the store employee.Unfortunately, we have now discovered --- and the store and district manager have acknowledged --- that the employee did not in fact mix porch/deck paint, but INTERIOR paint.No wonder our deck boards are sticky and every chair or ladder is pulling paint.Unfortunately, all the district manager is willing to do is replace the gallons of paint, which obviously doesnt come close to solving our problem. The store has told us that we cant simply apply the proper paint over the incorrect paint; that the improper paint would have to be sanded off. Have you ever tried to sand rough, uneven deck boards, let alone ones covered with sticky paint?Im keeping this review objective and businesslike, even though thats not what I feel like writing.Ill simply say that I am extremely disappointed in the service we received at the store level, and even more so in the wholly-insufficient offer made by the district manager, who asserts that my contractor never said that we were painting deck boards. Really? Are we that stupid? Or are your employees just that dense and careless?If Sherwin Williams is listening, Id welcome a new proposal about how you can get us out of this mess you caused.

The associate at the Castleton Sherwin Williams was very knowledgeable and provided my paint order in a timely manner.

Went there to educate myself about paints. Have no opinion...... yet.

The salesman was very helpful in helping me understand the best type of paint for the project I was doing. I tried a less quality paint but after two coats it was not covering well and did not look like it would clean well, which was important in this case. I spoke to the salesman by phone and he brought the paint out for curbside pickup in a matter of minutes.

I am looking for colors to do some exterior painting. The associates in the store were wonderful. They answered all questions and pickup was timely and courteous!

Love the curbside pickup and Bill was so accommodating and friendly. He even was more than willing to shake a can of paint I had originally bought from a different a different retailer!

The manager is very very knowledgeable. Josh, and it always smells like fresh baked bread! Must be one of the perks of Sharon a billion with Jimmy Johns though Jimmy Johns is not my favorites

The best place to buy paint!

I will have to return to buy more of the same paint color but after that, I wont return. Staff didnt greet us or ask if we needed help. They were just hanging out at the counter, not like they were busy, we were the only people in the place.

Super attentive manager! He pulled nearly 20 paint cards for me and let me take the wall coverings book home to allow me to make the right choice.

I paid a big premium for DURATION satin paint for my kitchen. What a mistake! Minutes after application it sets up as a skin. Consequently, when I removed painters tape, the paint also ripped away in various parts. Also, bubbles formed under skin in various areas. After sanding away the bubbles, large areas need to be repaired. To make wall surface level again, I am trying the skim coat with joint compound, smoothing level by sanding. Even though I have waited overnight, I am once again getting bubbles on the recoat. What a mess! I am on my third day now with no end in sight! This should have been an easy kitchen painting job! In the past I have bought gallon after gallon of SW Super Paint and have always been happy. Never again! DURATION paint can instructions are not helpful. They give no clue of how to apply (i.e. simple things like how long to wait before applying a 2nd coat, etc) nor the pitfalls that may lie ahead. Here I sit with my kitchen down, flaws now in wall surfaces (which did not previously exist) and no clue as how to repair but to start anew with some other firm’s product! Big waste of time and money!
