I went up to Safelite and they turned me down because I had a little bit of silicone on the top of my windshield trim. They said I had a ton of rust underneath, WITHOUT EVEN LOOKING UNDER THE TRIM. I highly recommend calling a different company. I called Auto Now in independence and they quoted me $50 less than Safelite.

No call no show!!!!! I booked an appointment Thursday for them to come out Friday morning between 8-12 and they never showed up so I drove to them to find out what was going on and gave them my work order I received only to be told that this work order number is from year 2014 and we dont have you in the system so not only was my time wasted and nothing got done Im now behind and have lost money do to missing work (first and last time Im ever going to use them)

The replacement looks great. However, when the technician removed there review mirror they broke it either removing it or trying to out it back on and they did not tell us. We don’t drive this vehicle often so it was unnoticed until we got into it this weekend to go work at rental property. The plastic cover was broken and it looked like they tried to melt it back on but it fell off. Here’s the thing that insets me. They were not honest because they did not tell us. If they would have just told us it would not have upset me as much and would be happy to just buy the part to have them fix it. I have made another appt so hopefully they will make this right. It’s a pain to try to call and talk to someone because it keeps wanting us to make appt online, so that’s what it brave done.

My back windshield broke Tuesday night and they had it replaced Thursday morning and came to me. Pricing is upfront and doesn’t require giving contact information. My tech, Jeremiah, did a great job and was genuinely friendly and professional. Sans having a busted windshield I had great experience and would 10/10 use again if I have the misfortune to require it.

I was initially pleased with the service. The tech came within the timeframe window, called before and after the service was completed, and he was overall friendly and pretty fast. Upon inspection, I noticed the molding on the sides of my windshield were gone, leaving an obvious gap that showed the clips where the molding should be. The aesthetic was not pretty as it looked incomplete. I called right away, within 20 minutes of my completed service and explained to the lady I spoke with about the issue. She told me my windshield doesn’t have molding and that the gap is supposed to be there. When I told her it looks nothing like it did before the service and how I can stick all my fingers into the gap, she said that is how it should be. I was very just tired of going in circles trying to explain that it in fact shouldn’t look this way. She then informed me that unless I can come to them nobody will be able to look at what I am talking about until the following Monday. I felt like she was brushing me off like my concern was not a big deal.

My Technician went above and beyond in displaying great customer service, skill set knowledge and made this experience truly painless!

Set up my appointment over the phone and got my insurance company to help get my details straightened out. In at 8:00am and got the finishing call at 10:00am. Super quick and professional.

Awful EXPERIENCE and even WORSE customer service. I filed a claim through my insurance to have 2 rock chips repaired. I gave the Safelite technician my keys and within 5 minutes received a call for me to come out and speak with him in regards to my windshield. When I got outside and back over to speak with the technician I saw a 12-16 inch crack across my windshield. He explained they could give me a quote for self pay or we could put a claim into insurance but I would have to pay my deductible. ($1000 US dollars) When I stated can I get the self pay quote they bid me $450 US dollars to replace my windshield. There was no lets see what we can do to make this cheaper for you since we cracked the windshield nothing. I chose to not use them because I wanted to speak with my insurance and to their customer service to see what my options would be. Upon calling my insurance company they stated that these things do happen and they were backing Safelite 100% but did get them on the phone. Once Safelites customer service of on the phone I was interrupted, yelled at and talked down to as if I was a child. After hanging up because of their poor customer service I did some calling around the windshield repair and replacement companies I was able to get 5 quotes that all were between $150 US dollars and to $225 US dollars. Which made me even more mad that they would quote me so much higher than 5 other companies especially by that much more. Safelite will NEVER again be my to go after that poor customer service, lack of understanding, backing their customers and overpriced work. At this point I wouldnt trust they to even come near my vehicles. If I were you I would think twice about using them.

I just went into Safelite auto glass on Noland Road in Independence. Three guys behind the desk just goofing off. No cars in the bay and they were too busy to seal the crack in the window of my car.

My new windshield is REALLY cool, all clean and shiny and NOT CRACKED. How cool! Took awhile, while I waited in sitting area with magazines, coffee and t.v. (Wendy somebody on the channel....so crude and rude..yuck). But receptionist was friendly and windshield dude was efficient. All good. More expensive than some, but maybe cheaper isnt always good.😊

I own a 2008 Lexus 350. It was previously wrecked then repaired by the previous owner. Its a great car. After a rock from a trailer cracked my windshield, I went to the safelite shop for a replacement to pass my safety inspection. They quoted a very reasonable price. I they got it in and finished on July 3rd. On the 4th it rained heavily but after plenty of time for the replacement for it to dry. I didnt drive that day. The next day I did drive. My feet got soaked as soon as I moved the car by water coming in thru the new seal and under my dash. Ive never previously had any kind of leak. The next day I called safelite again. They replaced it no charge. No apology, nothing. The front office person told me my car had previously been worked on and there was some damage around the windshield that made the install more difficult and then shrugged their shoulders without offering any kind of solution or if the new windshield would be any better. Did they call and let me know that, or let me know thered be more of charge or more work to replace my windshield correctly? No. Did the new windshield still leak? Yeah. Every time it rains at all. So now I have to take it somewhere else to correct something they should have addressed before doing any kind of install. Not to mention any damage that could happen to the electronics under my dash. I will not be returning.

Nice people to help you. They have handicap parking but not automatic doors. You need an appointment. They are a busy place. I guess youre going to have to have someone come out to your car at your home. if you are handicapped. It will take you an hour at least maybe a little longer. They do not keep windows in stock they have warehouses they keep them in.

They were able to get me in right away and the wait wasnt long at all. When I first got my car back, I started to drive away and noticed there were creaky sounds coming from the upper right side of the windshield so I drove right back. They took it in the back and looked it over and said the windshield would settle into its glue overnight. The next day I noticed the creaking sound was gone but I still hear a little wind noise. So far there have been no leaks, so basically Im very pleased with the results.

Having worked in the car rental and car sales business, I had frequent interactions with Safelite, and they were always great. When theyre on site, theyre efficient and do a great job.I had an interesting experience with this particular location. They came to my house to replace my wifes windshield. I gave them the keys and mowed my yard as they worked. About 20 minutes into the job, one of the technicians came over to tell me they had damaged the dashboard. He said they dropped the old glass on the dash when they pulled it out. He showed me to 4 gashes in the dashboard, which they had attempted to cover with some dark filler. I assume that since the filler didnt look remotely close to the color of the dash or look flush that they fessed up to it.The tech apologized over and over, got my information and passed it along to his manager. I got a call from the manager the next day, said he wanted to look at the damage outside of the photos he had seen. I went to the shop and he apologized, too. He also said that they would take care of the replacement of the dash and would also set us up with a rental. We didnt end up needing the rental, but Safelite stood by their promise of fixing the problem, even though they lost money on the deal.I do agree with some of the other reviews that its frustrating to have your call always go to a call center rather than the location in which youre trying to call. I imagine they get hundreds of calls a day and that the call center is designed to make sure you are in contact with the Safelite closest to you. However, I can empathize with those reviews.

I want to share my whole experience. The window is fixed now and looks great BUT I am not happy not being able to speak to someone at a specific location and definately not happy with how the glass was cleaned up after the window was replaced.We cleaned it better before it was taken in to get it fixed. Every number called goes to some call center and does not make it very easy. We had to make 2 trips which was 1 1/2 hours round trip because the original person we spoke to said our appointment was the next day and is was really 2 days later so we had to drive back the next day.

Communication regarding my particular situation could have been better. I had a very small crack located quite close to the edge of my windshield. Being employed in the automotive industry I am quite aware of the difficulties surrounding repair of damage in such a location. This was communicated, albeit not confidentially, by my service technician/writer. What I was not informed of, however, was that after the service my crack would still be QUITE clearly visible with no clear signs at an attempt to repair. Had this issue been mentioned as a possibility, I may have chosen not to have my windshield repaired at all. I would have stayed and discussed this in detail at the facility, but I had a prior engagement that day. All in all, the technicians were polite,professional, and quick, but I do not feel my money was at all well spent considering the crack in question appears exactly the same as when I arrived.Should my comment necessitate a response, I am more than happy to oblige. Email preferred, but not required.

Simple small rock chip in 2016 Mercedes window. Safelite technician came to fix. Next day the whole windshield was cracked from side to side. Have been unable to drive the vehicle since and had to special order windshield from Mercedes. DO NOT USE SAFELITE!!! They are fraudulent and a rip-off. We are filing a complaint with our state attorneys general office. HORRIBLE!!!

I had a small chip in my windshield that was located pretty close to the side. I took my car in to have it filled. Unfortunately, what they dont explain (or its in very fine print somewhere) is that there is a possibility, through the process, that it can crack. Which mine did. They were very apologetic but that doesnt mean I didnt have to foot the bill for an entire windshield. Of course it was at an extreme discount but I couldnt help feeling a little burnt, having to pay even more. After going back (they had to order my windshield) it was only about an hour and my windshield is great. The customer service was genuine. Now I cringe everytime Im behind a truck on the highway, but thats a personal problem 😉

MY EXPERIENCE WAS WITH THE LOCATION ON 3RD STREET IN LEES SUMMIT AND IT WAS THE WORST EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD WITH A COMPANY! IN THE PROCESS OF REPLACING MY WINDSHIELD THEY DESTROYED THE KEYLESS ENTRY TO MY CAR. THEY DID NOT WANT TO STAND UP BEHIND THEIR ERROR AND HAS SENT ME FROM PLACE TO PLACE FOR THE VEHICLE TO BE LOOKED AT. THEY ARE FINALLY PLANNING TO PAY FOR THE REPLACEMENT OF THE SYSTEM TOMORROW BUT THE PLACE THAT IT HAS TO GO WILL TAKE ALL DAY. SAFELITE DOES NOT WANT TO PROVIDE A RENTAL. THERE IS ALSO A SPACE IN THE REPLACED WINDSHIELD THAT IS ALLOWING AIR IN. I TELL EVERYONE, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR YOUR WINDSHIELD REPLACEMENT. I WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN IN LIFE!!!!!! Try Kryger glass instead. I used them years ago and had no problems. I wish I would have looked them up and not been lazy and used the Safelite commercial for the phone number.
