Ive been getting my tires at Tire Discounters in Florence, KY, for longer than I can remember. That includes those for a Ford F350 Super Duty crew cab / long bed, and its load range E tires! Twenty years ago when we built a new home in Independence, KY, it was a bit of a drive, but I continued with them. Then, two years ago Tire Discounters opened a new location in the same lot as the Krogers we shop at in Independence. Great move guys!About ten days ago, my daughter delivered our new grandson early. So, my wife and I loaded up and prepared to depart for South Carolina. After picking up supplies, and fueling at Krogers, I pulled into Tire Discounters for a tire pressure check. The tech found my left front tire was a little low; but nothing to be overly concerned about. So, he brought it up to normal pressure (66 PSI) and we were on our way. Ten days later, I was back in town to handle some business for a couple days. But, before heading back to South Carolina, I stopped by Tire Discounters for a tire pressure check. This time, Allen said I was at 40 PSI in that left front tire which is normally set at 66 PSI. As thats a 26 PSI loss in ten days, we both knew something was wrong. But, it was late in the afternoon, and they were working a little short handed. However, Nico came out and looked the situation over. Upon determining I had purchased these tires at Tire Discounters, and knowing I needed to get back to South Carolina, Nico made arrangements to get the tire repaired. It turned out the problem was a faulty valve stem, along with a broken pressure sensor band inside. But, less than an hour later, all was fixed and I was on my way.Thank you Nico, Allen, and the Techs at Tire Discounters, Independence!

When my tires were rotated the the lug nuts where’s tightened so much that a professional actually broke two of them off.I needed to change my brakes which I usually have done at home. Because who wants to pay $399 for parts that take 20 minute and cost $80.Long story short the lug nuts where torqued so high I had no choice but to bring my back breaks to tire discounters an pay $128 to have them put on. It took them about 15 minutes so basically $500/hour and I brought my own parts. I can see my neurologist for less then that.My girlfriend also purchased tires form there last year and has had constant leaking issues. Coincidence maybe.I like tire discounters and have used them for years. But after having a fix twice that never corrected the problem and now the over torquing lug nuts.. what if I had a flat in the side of the road?I appreciate the manager working with me but it wasn’t a customer service fix it was just an extra commotion sale to them let’s be honest.That being said everyone was friendly I just felt like I was exploited a little as I originally just wanted them to just losses the lug nuts from the over torque which they refused.I will continue to use tire discounters but I’m very unlikely to ever use this location again.

I took my suv to Tire discounters for an oil change and they did an amazing job. I am working in a new location and they explained what issues needed to be resolved. They did a great job and provided amazing customer service. I know I will trust them to work on my vehicle in the future. I would highly recommend the shop in Independence for any of your car repairs. Thank you so much!

Went in today as a walk in for new tires and knew I would have to leave my car for a bit so I planned for that. I dropped it off at 8 am and they called me about 1230 to pick it up. Also told them I might have a leaky valve but Nicco said no leak. He could have told me all kind of stuff that needed to be fixed but didnt. I appreciate the honesty and will be back if I need to. Thank you so much!!!!!

They went out of their way to help. My car died in their parking lot and before I could ask for help someone came out with a battery jump box offering to assist. They also spent time searching for a reasonably priced Alternator and took care of the install. Car trouble is always a pain but they made it much easier. Special thanks to Eddie, Nico and Chris. I’m so thankful for our Independence Tire Discounters.

Everyone there was super nice and they all worked very fast! I talked to Nico around 9:30 and they were pretty booked for the day. Around 12 my car was done and he didn’t push me to get unnecessary services but did tell me what could cause problems down the line. As a female I always feel like mechanics take advantage of me, not this location!!!

My 2008 BMW has sport suspension. As is typical for these, the rear tires wear first on the inside surface. Pot holes between Cincinnati and Columbus had taken their toll on tires and rims and I needed two new rims before new tires could be installed and aligned. TD was patient and held my Michelins while I searched for new rims. They worked me into a busy Saturday schedule and had everything finished by noon. Thanks guys I now have a Smooth ride and no worry about worn tires.

Needless to say we waited 5 and a half hours to get our tires changed. Then watched our get its tires changed and then watched them move my car to a different stop and then didnt touch it. After the man up front said oh it will be another 15 min for it to get aligned I get that but when 15 min goes by and nobody touches your car that is absolutely crazy and ridiculous.... Oh and they only told us a couple hours..... As 5 and a half hours go by. update* it went from 5 hours to 6...still getting aligned....

Quoted price for rear brakes was much higher than verbal quote I received when calling prior to appointment. After checking with other brake specialists nearby, TD is at least $100 more expensive than others. Had to have a tire replaced immediately, took over an hour to replace a single tire - after having an appt & car being up on the rack after a brake inspection. Too long & too expensive for what I was looking for. Previous experiences were much better.

Needed brakes referred to 3L because they could get us in today. Didn’t want to drive down there was going to leave the car but they said couldn’t get you in tomorrow either. Drove to 3L and didn’t even have an open parking spot. I guess Friday is a busy day.Thanks for the reply, email sent. We did end up getting service at the 3L location. Lesson for all CALL FIRST.

Everyone was SO kind and even picked my car up AND dropped it back off when it was done!! That is a huge help for someone like me with kids that are with me during the day. I highly recommend to everyone, and will be using them for all further needs!

This place is the first place I have been to since I moved up her 8 years ago the is honest, and does not take advantage of you when you take your car in. Joe and Niko have always been so helpful and friendly. I will send everyone I know here.

Easy to work with, fair recommendations without trying to push bug upsells outside of what was requested. Only complaint would be that it took a bit longer than they initially said but overall it was still a great experience with friendly staff.

Absolute worst experience I have ever had when paying for a service. I will never go back to this location. I recommend if you want to use tire discounters to use another location. Sadly I have their tires and will not even be using them for my lifetime rotation. If I could have predicted that I was going to have the experience I did, I would have spent more money just to avoid this place. Also I have never seen this much lack in work ethic a day in my life.

The guys here always do a great job. Most recently my brakes and rotors were bad. They got me in and out before I had to pick my kids up even though they were busy. I was super stressed about having to drive my car how it was but they came through and went above and beyond. Amazing service and amazing people. I highly recommend them!

Good valet service. Good service in general. Pleased so far. (Only criticism was that the Florence store promised to call back several times and did not. The independence store was great).

I am very happy with the service provided. I took my car there for new tires, new braked, and a tune up. The people wete friendly and very helpful. The price was reasonable, I am very happy with yheir work. I am not thst happy with the fact that it took tbem 8 hours to finish the job. They called me twice to tell me that the job was complete snd when we got therr to pick up my car I still had to wait 30 minutes before it was ready to go. Will go back for their excellent service, but hope it doesnt take that long on the future.

Very good experience - had my car pick up by James Stokes (131) and in 3.5 hours I had my car back. I had 4 tires and all wheel alignment. Love that I could have it done and never had to leave work.

The price we received was 1160.00 OriginallyFor a brake job and a locked up caliper. Of course this was shocking.After talking to my wife we decided to go another direction.Immediately after we told tire discounters that we would not pay that much, the gentleman got defensive and said that he could take the price to 900. We went ahead and pulled the car took it to midas Where it was done for 640.00

We had Joe check us in and check us out and our amount due was exactly as quoted! We were nervous coming here not knowing what type of service wed get and left very pleased and will be back if we need more work or tires in the future. He even referred us to another business after mentioning we were shopping for something specific that day and we also had good service there. Thanks, Joe!

Got my last set of tires here: 17in Kenda branded tires, 60k mile rating, installed, with road hazard, and alignment for 550 out the door. I really like that the included alignment has a twelve month warranty now, which you can request to have checked during your 5k mile tire rotations, because I already hit a big pot hole (which always seems to happen right after u get a new set) and I knocked the alignment outta wack. So during my first tire rotation they checked the alignment, and did another alignment for free, under warranty.Im really happy with all my completed service and coverage, and the performance of the tire so far (7k miles) has been just as good as my previous Cooper Zeons. They would get five stars if they were more accurate with their time estimates, and/or quicker.. Every time Ive had a service performed its taken at least twice the length of the quoted estimated time, so just be prepared to double your wait time. I think Im like most people that understand its going to take a while, but just want the most honest estimate so I can prepare and make accommodations accordingly. Id def. recommend this location, and will be back for my follow ups and future sets.

When I contacted Tire Discounters to have them repair my brakes, I didnt have to come in, they picked up my vehicle and dropped it off when they were done. Never knew it was so easy. Thank you!

The staff at this location were extremely helpful and up front about costs and time. I dropped my truck off for the appointment and returned a few hours later to a completed job. You Guys like to sell warranties to people without telling them. And then when you are asked to take it off and to refund the money for the warranty I never asked for in the first place you guys like to play victim and say I had already signed a paper saying I agreed to purchase the warranty and that I would not get my money back. Why not just do the right thing and sell me what I ask for one tire with no warranty. Why would I want one tire with a warranty anyway doesn’t make much sense at least ask people if they want A warranty before you sell it to them rather than trying to sneak it in on there bill. Do yourself a favor people and shop somewhere else unless you want someone trying to rip you off just so they can make a little extra on commission. I know this wasn’t a very expensive purchase the tire was only 120 and the warranty was only 15 dollars.But the fact that you do this to customers all the time without them noticing is garbage and is not good business.

Waiting area was great and people were friendly.

Honestly, up until recently, I had nothing but great experiences at this location since it opened.But now, boy oh boy. The work they do is good. But the staff, particularly the girl that works up front, is incredibly rude to customers. After talking to a few neighbors who also have gone here recently, I found out she was just as rude to them. I’m going to start passing this store to go somewhere else from now on.Also, if you’re someone who is concerned about the virus, NONE of the staff wear masks.

Joe and Steven took care of me like no place else would. 5 year alignment, wheels, and tires. They price matched the tires and installed things in no time. Highly recommended

I have a Mazda 3 that has a unique battery situation. Independence TD was able to replace my battery for half the price of the Mazda dealership. Their technicians went the extra mile to ensure the work was done properly.

I never write reviews, but after our experience today I wanted to make sure other people knew that we have an awesome, trustworthy place in town to get your auto needs taken care of. We came in for large repair. Mark took great care of us, kept us informed along the way and finished the job at a reasonable price (less than other estimates I got). I usually bounce around from shop to shop because I dont know who to trust, but I have found my place! Thank you Mark!

I would not give this store any stars of it would allow me. My wife stopped in 2 days ago to get air in the tires and an oil top off. They made her get an oil change and did an inspection on our SUV. They quoted over $1100.00 worth of items that needed to be replace . I informed her not to do anything until I could look at it myself. To day I went to a different Tire Discounters that I trust to have them look at the same SUV. They took me out into the shop to show me exactly what all was wrong. They showed my that all that was wrong was a lower ball joint that would cost under $200. So the independence location is a rip off and crooked. I will never go back to this store. Ill take my business to the store that is honest and trust worthy. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS STORE AT ALL!!!!!!!!

The service itself wasnt bad; it was quick (an hour 45 for an oil change and new tires plus allignment). The reason for the 4 stars is that my appointment was postponed for a week due to a sales error in which someone else purchased the tires I had originally ordered. Im not mad about the experience; the customer service agent clarified the situation and made sure that everything was on point. Im just disappointed that there wasnt some communication upon unloading that the tires were prepaid for and reserved.

Quoted one price when I dropped off a tire to be replaced and charged about $75 dollars more when I picked it up. I would avoid this location.

If I could give zero stars I would. Took the Cadillac there to have them check the front brake pads. Their estimate was about $850, Ryan the manager said it needed pads and rotors on front and back....I didnt believe it so I took it to Joseph Cadillac where I normally go. Of course they replaced the front pads and turned the rotors. Back are good for another 10,000 miles. Around $250 out the door. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF for work you dont need. What a disappointment this place was. I only went there because they were close. We will never go there for anything.

The 49 dollar synthetic oil.change was 60 dollars. They charge for more than 5 qts of oil. Oil filter . The add is misleading.

Got tires on 2 different vehicles and the experience has been great each time. Knowledgeable, courteous, and friendly staff got me in and out really quickly.

Good for tires and repairs!

If you have a lifted vehicle dont bring it here. Staff is not trained to work on after market components and even a simple alignment is beyond there ability. Maybe in a few years with more training they will be ok but avoid them for now unless you want your truck to be used as a training tool.

After my tires were mounted and balanced and alignment completed I went out to take a quick walk around my truck only to find multiple scratches on my wheels that did not have any scratches when I left it with them. The store manager said “I am almost 80% sure we did not do these” I am 100% sure they did. So after spending $1500 on a set of tires they threw in a set of scratched up wheels. I would not recommend taking you vehicle to this store. Not sure about the store. Absolutely terrible and no accountability.
