Carstar Cunningham were the most friendliest, professional people I have ever dealt with. They were informative, courteous, and prompt. I would recommend them to everyone in need of car repair &/or body work! Very, very enjoyable experience. They are on my Christmas list!!

We used Cunningham for repairs on our car, after it was in an accident. I would give them 10 stars if I could! They were beyond friendly, professional, timely, and caring. I have no doubt that they would bend over backwards to make sure that any customer was satisfied and happy with their services. I highly recommend them to anyone in Independence, and surrounding areas. And by the way, our car was the cleanest that it has ever been when we picked it up. What a detail job they did on the interior carpet and upholstery. Absolutely spotless!

I drive a company fleet van and carry a lot of tools which makes it difficult to give it up fo even a couple days for repairs. But, My experience with the Cunningham’s was top notch professional, they told me 3 days maybe 4 and they were done in 2. This is a family owned business that has honest good people working for them. I won’t mention name but the Big Boss that took care of me was fantastic, honest, down to earth and went the extra mile to make sure I would get it back ASAP. Oh, and the work was flawless, they even cleaned the vehicle for me. They are good people and from my experience with these body shops, that’s hard to find

The people were very friendly and welcoming. The estimating process could have been better. It wasn’t thorough. It was just a quick visual assessment. Their parts supplier also could not supply the parts I needed. I was easily able to order my own parts off Amazon (for far less money), which CarStar was able to install. But they could only install 1 of the 2 parts as it turned out, because they had not accurately assessed the overall problem. :( The price in the end was very inexpensive. They only charged me for about a half hour of labor, so I was happy with that.

I highly recommend Cunningham car star they were very professional, they kept me updated on how things were going with my car it was ready when they said it would be ready, very reasonably priced, very friendly.

We had some extensive work done on our Lexus, and were dealing with two different insurance companies. It was a massive headache. Johnna, Kyle, and Jenny (hope I spelled names correctly) were awesome in helping us to navigate through the whole process from start to finish. We were going to hire detail work done after we picked up, but, it was already done! Excellent customer service and quality work.

Staff were friendly and professional. Work was completed on time, and quality was high standard.Outer office area was very clean which I always appreciate.I would recommend to a friend.I would also recommend you make your own car rental arrangements. And, that you use any rental agency other than Enterprise.

They didnt want the job because insurance damage estimate quote $1600 was too low. But Hartford immediately approved $4200.supplemental damage claims when McCarthy Chevy AutoBody got my truck in Shop and started looking deeper into it. So far I have nothing else to add re: Carstar Auto.

I had to have an antenna assembly put in my Kia and am pleased with it and got it done it done on time...very friendly..thank you very much for helping me with this issue..i will be back..

Update: Allen called today and left a screaming voicemail stating I should take my issues up with my insurance company because he issued the refund. (As noted below, it was sent YESTERDAY after waiting nearly a month and a half with no response from him.) I returned Allens call to confirm I received notice the refund was issued yesterday and had no further concerns with him. He asked if I blasted my insurance carrier online too, which I confirmed I had no reason to do so. He claimed his family had COVID twice over the past two months causing the refund delay. I apologized for what his family went through, but informed Kyle and Johnna in the office confirmed he was going to be there at least four of the days I called in over the past month and a half. I find it disgusting that this company wont take responsibility for their negligence and are just looking to cover up their mistakes with excuses. Allens phone call to me was completely inappropriate and uncalled for! Again, I will never recommend them for any business whatsoever.***Theyre withholding our money! We had our vehicle towed to this shop in early Jan after an accident. All went well until our vehicle was deemed a total loss. They wont refund the initial payment that was made for repairs (which were never made since it was totaled). Apparently Allen, the owner, is the only person who can refund the money but Allen doesnt return calls or show up to the office! We first requested the refund on January 22nd. It is now March 1st and still NOTHING! Do not go here unless you have money and time to waste.

I was hit by an uninsured motorist, which is obviously not a good experience. But I have to say that CARSTAR Cunningham made my situation MUCH better! Their employees go above and beyond for their customers. They do quality work and they deliver on time, if not early! They made this as easy as possible for me. Courtney, Jackie, and Gary went above & beyond. I was seriously impressed and will never take a vehicle another place to be repaired but here. Trust me, you will really like their work and the people!And I am updating this because I just had to use them for a second time when I was hit and run in a parking lot. Excellent service and communication once again! With Covid and the delay of parts arriving, they always kept me informed. Top-notch service and the car looks beautiful!

So I returned two days ago to have the rear bumper straightend and was warmly greeted by everyone.Courtney came right out and pricked up where she left off last time, bringing Willie, who did my previous work, down for an estimate. She then promptly printed out the quote and scheduled an appointment for yesterday morning.Willie straightened the fender in less than half the time allotted and the cost was more than reasonable.Professional Excellence in every way. 5 star plus rating!

Terrible service, charged twice initial estimate given, a.c. still blows warm air didnt even fix it, fender looks worse than it did when I went in. Management has the poorest customer service Ive ever seen, if I could give 0 stars I would and thats still being generous.

Jenny and her team were prompt, informative, and friendly throughout the entire process. My poor car fell victim to one of the many ice storms this winter, and they did a great job with the repairs. My car looked brand new and was returned in pristine condition. It was a bit out of my way, but Im glad I took the extra time and effort to do my research to find the right place, because they did such an awesome job.

My appointment was at 3pm, I got there at 2:55, they immediately started giving me my estimate and we were finished in about 5 minutes. The ladies were so helpful, so sweet and fun. They offered me coffee, hot cocoa, water, and a seat. They are awesome! Definitely recommend Cunningham!!

I had really bad damage to my car from someone hitting it. They took me in they’re arms and made sure everything was getting taken care of. They kept in contact with me throughout the whole process. My car is in wonderful shape and reminds me of a new car. Thank you so much!

I got in a front end Accident they had my car for about 3 weeks but when I got it back it drives smoother and feels better behind the wheel I would definitely go back it’s not cheap but it’s trust worthy work and great friendly people

They fixed my subaru much faster than expected and it looks better than when I bought it! They matched the paint perfectly and detailed everything to the point that I wasn’t sure if it was even my car! The only downside is that something they used to detail the vehicle ruined my license plate covers but they are cheap and easily replaceable. Beautiful work and professional people.

Of course, when someone comes to this place its because theyve had a car wreck and they are probably already upset. I was greeted by a gentleman (a manager?) who was respectful and listened when I talked to him about what I needed. His communication style was attentive and efficient.His vast experience made the process with my insurance company go very smooth. I dropped my car off at the appointed time.Two days later I realized Id left some sales manuals in there that I needed to pick up and so drove over in my rental car. My vehicle was being worked on in a bay and I went directly to it. I explain to the two men that I needed to grab some things out of my car and they gently guided me back to the front office to let the manager know so he could bring me back out there to them. I was delighted that they were protecting the things in my car since they had not met me! The employees were as attentive as was the man who helped me to begin with. Very impressive.My vehicle was actually repaired 2 days early and so I got to turn the rental car back in, saving money.Yesterday a friend did some damage to her car and I immediately told her about my positive experience here and she has an appointment on Thursday to go in.Carstar Cunningham definitely cared about the customer service and went well beyond what they needed to, to get their job done. Much appreciated!

Ive used this shop 3 times over the last 10 years or so. Theyve always done right by me. They work well with my insurance company and do good work in a timely manner. If youre fixing a car that youre family is gonna need to be safe in, these guys will do it right.

We were very happy with the work. Our car was hit the same day that GM went on strike. It took six months to the day because of parts. They communicated often and we dont blame them for the delay. Still it was frustrating to be out our vehicle for so long. Thank you Carstar. Rethinking my three GM vehicles for how they messed us around.

Allen and his team made my car look brand new again after being vandalized in a parking lot. The service was excellent, my car looks brand new again and I couldnt be more pleased. Should we ever need car repairs/body work done again, you can bet well be coming back to Cunningham.

Doesnt paint entire cars says it would cost over 6000 when a well known and respected shop down the same road said 3500 never heard of a 6000 paint job or a body shop that doesnt do paint jobs

I love these guys! My white Honda civic has been in this shop so many times due to hail damage and other minor things. They always do an amazing job! Both of my cv joints just went bad on my car and they replaced them for me for a fraction of the cost of the dealership. Hands down, BEST BODY SHOP IN INDEPENDENCE! My front license plate screws were literally rusted into my bumper. In desparation I took the truck to my mechanic who said they couldnt get it off. They recommended I go to Cunninghams Carstar behind the McDonalds at 23rd and Noland.I was totally depressed. I thought I was going to have my bumper cut off or something drastic like that.Nope! With their can do enthusiastic attitude the couple who own the business jumped right on it and somehow got the old tag off and the new tag on within 15 minutes.Then they sent me on my way with a Merry Christmas.Wow!
