It’s a nice enough hangout. One can indeed have individual privacy in one of the nooks carved out of the interior, or have a small meeting of friends. The staff is nice. The music is often good. The coffee beverages are fine. Bathrooms are clean.The baked goods need some serious improvements. They’ve got the worst, most incorrectly made *croissant I’ve ever experienced anywhere. Came through there on a random Tuesday afternoon and was able to take advantage of the happy hour menu and ended up with the Kimchi fries (🍟) and a mango green tea (🍵) and was happy I pulled up!It reminds me of my college days (UTA 🤙🏾) with students studying and just kicking it in the very diner-esque cafe. The energy is light, the wifi is good, and the service is on point. I would definitely recommend to anyone in the area.

Pretty nice atmosphere and lots of students come to study. Had their chicken and spinach quiche and it tasted great although a bit pricey. Coffee is good but their workers talk loudly regardless of the people studying. One of the few places on campus that stay open late thankfully

I come here out of nostalgia and location mostly. The coffee can be a little bitter in the times Ive had it recently. I like their food items, however. The kolaches are good, muffins too. That being said, Ill still be coming here because my friends like to hang out here and its an excellent gathering place filled with art. Music choice is great and the patio is a good place to escape to on campus

Couldnt imagine a more perfect college coffee shop. Wish the Nook had been around when I attended UH. The staff know their stuff, and all their coffee is prepared well. I appreciate the bottomless coffee option, ideal if youre camping out to cram on a project. And there are board games all over, including for sale if you want to avoid that project.

This is a great spot for a coffee. The lounge area feels like Im in a living room, but theres also an outdoor area. They have a variety of coffees but my favorite is the green tea latte. The service is always great and the staff is super friendly!

Love this place! One of the workers is so disruptive with her singing. She has a great voice but if youre trying to study, this is not the place especially with how loud and charismatic she is lol.

Place is nice, chill vibes. But I guess they do not know how to clean their coffee machines. I had burnt coffee on two different occasions. Gen Z kids that are lazy to clean it seems like.

This Café is small and cozy and warms you up with the interior aesthetic! Amazing list of beverages that can please many different kind of daily things youd like! If youd like a coffee, tea, frappes, etc. The amazing baristas are amazingly sweet and are very polite! LGBT friendly and a place where you can be yourself :)

University of Houston campus coffee spot, so expect heavy student traffic during the fall/spring semester. Friendly staff, couches, baked goodies coffee, beer and mimosas. Theres also patio out back where people can convene. My only grief is theyve recently started booking this annoying guitarist on Friday evenings that sometime pesters the studying students. If you enjoy a certain level of quiet, Friday evening isnt the day to go.

Exquisite coffee coupled with an equally splendid ambience

This place has an interesting aesthetic. I like how some of the rooms are almost sectioned off, minimizing the noise, which can get pretty loud in coffee shops. While it isnt the best place ever in terms of atmosphere, there isnt anything to really complain about either, and the service was great and the baristas were friendly. The cortado was surprisingly mild after a string of very bitter, somewhat burnt tasting cortados at other places, though this may be too bland. It still isnt bad though. To sum up this place, it was nice, but nothing wowed me.

Ive been getting my caffeine fix from here for the past three years and Im not stopping anytime soon. Super smooth espresso and bottomless drip coffee make it my go to, and the local pastries from Tout Suite and Sinful are great.

One of the fantastic veggie tacos in town. The corn tortillas are handmade and unique. This taco is made with seasonal ingredients. Right now it has awesome squash, black beans, avocado and more. Seasonal butternut salsa is to die for!!

I absolutely love the look and vibe of the shop.The lady at the register was very nice but it took such an awkwardly long time to be acknowledged and I was the only other person in the store besides the man that was waiting for his order. I was excited to try this place I ordered a vanilla iced coffee and it was so gross I couldnt take more than two sips. It was like watered down zingy vanilla with a faint hint of bad coffee. It was only $3 so it wasnt worth walking back inside to let them know. Oh well.

Cool spot. Great vibe. Great music playing in the background. TV screens showing images of the planet from space. Board games for those that want it. Billboards and drawings with slogans and sayings. Plenty of places to plug in and different types of seating. Good tea selection, the coffee is aromatic, and some nice food choices. Service with a smile.

Love coming here! This place is apart of my schedule every semester. Great atmosphere, they change the seating and table arrangement to keep it fresh. Lots of board games available for purchase and demo and the food and drink offered is awesome! Service is always great, and so is the rewards program!

Hard to find without a treasure map, but worth the look. Delicious pastries, large selection of made to order coffees and teas, and more electrical outlets for electronics than freeways in Houston! Stays busy, but everyone is interacting with a lighted screen, so the place remains quiet. Popular with UH students.

Great drinks and atmosphere! The staff is very friendly and accommodating. I came with a friend when there was a water break in Houston so they couldn’t make certain drinks, but they let us know of any changes that would be made to the drinks and gave a small discount for the inconvenience. Would come back again!

I usually attempt to try new coffee shops and when I heard there was one by UH I made sure to take a visit. Customer service is fairly good, lots of space for a college student to do his work. They also do sell board games so if you are looking to purchase some items then here is a good spot.

The staff are very friendly, and the pastries are delicious. We are not vegan, but are open to trying different things. The vegan sausage and cheese muffin was amazing. It has a little bit of spice to it, and will make you forget that you arent actually eating meat. The vegan blueberry donut was light and airy, and so good. The morrocan mint green tea explodes with flavor, and the cappuccino was good as well. The Nook is on the campus of University of Houston, and has a very laid back eclectic feel.

This place is great! Though I probably shouldnt tell people or it will become more crowded. Seriously though... its like the perfect coffee shop. Funny stuff on the walls, lots of outlets and people on their laptops, fantastic chair beds to nap in, and of course, great, great coffee.

I usually get the bottomless coffee, which is always very good. I stay there for hours studying and it has a very nice atomostphere for being around people but not wanting to be bothered. Also has bathrooms.

It was my first time visiting their cafe with a couple of friends and as I entered I saw the rush and people enjoying themselves and was looking forward to doing the same myself. When greeted at the register I let the employee know it was my first time and to recommend something popular, since I wanted to try what their special was. The employee reffered me to the, Hot Donald which was supposed to be a mix of delicious warm chocolate with Carmel and topped with vegan whip Creme and chocolate and caramel drizzle with sprinkles on top. Sounded great, so me and my other three friends all went for it. The weather was perfect for a hot drink so we concluded to that as our final decision. Another problem Id like to address was the lack of seating available for customers, it wasnt bearable but its a campus, what else could I expect. But after finding an extra seat after someone left, our drinks were called. Now I was really looking forward to this, magical drink. I took one sip and got a great amount of whip Creme and some of the actual drink. Not bad I thought, one more, and I made sure just to taste the drink and the first taste to come to mind was that powdered hot chocolate my mom used to make me except it was watered down, tasteless, and just straight hurt to drink. It was like drinking warm water with some bitter chocolate mixed in. Now I usually dont mind tipping, and since the cashier who so confidently sold me on the drink choice seemed so sure the drink would be great, I couldnt help but add a small gratuity tip for those guys and gals working in the back. But when I went to address the drink and let them know the drink wasnt up to pay, I was hit was a pretty nasty look, and asked what I didnt like about the drink. As far as I know, I dont think I should have had to explain to them that their drink wasnt the best, especially so boldly in their face, I wanted to be polite and asked for maybe something different but the employee said they mainly offered coffee which personally, I didnt prefer. Now I keep asking what drinks are more common for customers to get but no sure response was received. Really aggravated me as they didnt seem to want to address to my concern so I just said thank you and went back to my seat. I can confidently say if you go here, DONT try their, Hot Donald and I will not be returning here for their business. I usually never write reviews and when I do theyre always positive. This is my first negative review and it really deserves it. Ill make sure to never tip before receiving my food as well since apparently it doesnt matter and regardless of it my drink still ended up in the trash. My expectations werent high since I knew it was student ran, but they definitely werent this low. Now they are.

I am a student at the University of Houston. The nook to me is one of the best places around campus/Houston to go and relax. Many times have i gone there to chill and study and sometimes even just to go take a nap. They have a lot of tabletop games for people to go with friends, Great food, and a very friendly staff.

Lesson learned. I WILL NEVER BUY FROM HERE AGAIN. My first time here and will not return. I bought 2 coffees and 2 snacks. I went to the campus for 40 minutes and was heading back into this coffee shop to buy more items when I realized my car had been towed. $230 tow fee made my day.

Small, hipster, trendy, and liberal coffe house. Always a young, cool crowd. Definitely fun to go and enjoy the ambience over a cup of coffee/tea with friends. The staff is friendly and attentive. Love going here to catch up with friends and to eat their croissants! The only problem is finding a spot!

Friendly baristas, good coffee, excellent price. The key is to try to not look at the pastries, because you will probably end up buying some (yes they are good too. The maple bacon donut, yum). You can also work there, but I usually dont stay too long beyond sending an email or two.

This place has a chill, laid-back, Saturday-morning type of atmosphere. It smells like good coffee, and the music is not overbearing. It has a variety of furniture, including some comfortable couches and a few cubicles of sorts. The coffee is great, too!

The nook is a little nice spot on campus. I enjoy coming here for their delicious coffee and danishes. Id say its the best spot near UH for coffee and to study at. My only complaint would be theyre a bit on the expensive side and ya boy is still trying pay his tuition aha

I cant write about their actual coffee because I make the trek for their espresso beverages. The foam is consistently a gorgeous layer of velvet. The milk always carries a smooth, natural sweetness. The espresso is beautifully balanced and has amazing caramel crema. Each baristas command of the pour creates the perfect drink every time. I never leave this place unsatisfied.
