The guys at this location are the best! James and the rest of the team did an amazing job updating my BMW’s audio. They did their best to make sure I was satisfied with their work, they kept me informed during the process, and were very friendly. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to get any work done on their vehicle. I’m so happy with the quality of work, the customer service, and the way my new audio system sounds!

Fair pricing and great customer service!I was looking for a replacement touch screen radio with a back up camera. Before checking out Car Toys I went to a few other places nearby that had a 4+ review rating to get quotes. One place quoted me double the price for a no name brand radio and that did not include installation cost and another place wasnt much help with product knowledge or service.When I went to Car Toys I spoke to James and he asked me what features I was looking for and if I had a price range in mind. Then he showed me the different touch screen radios that was in my budget and went over the features and differences between each of them.After choosing my radio and back up camera I left my car there so they could install the equipment. Preston the technician who installed the radio was very professional. He had contacted me to inform me he had started the installation and then during the install he reached out again to ask if I had any preference in USB placement instead of just installing it randomly somewhere.I came back a week later needing assistance in phone sound output and help in adjusting the back up camera guidelines and James was quick to help me.I am happy with the installation and customer service provided at Car Toys. The radio James helped me choose is definitely an upgrade to what I had previously. I definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for an upgrade and ask for James. I will be going back for all future stereo upgrades.

I just purchased a 2021 Toyota 4Runner and noticed immediately it did not have the subwoofer my previous 4Runner model had in place. I looked around and all things being equal it comes down to good advice and quality of installation. After a bit of a hiccup on the original spec., which was out of stock, the team worked on making it right on an upgraded package.The install team asked me how I wanted the setup, understood my priorities and set up a quick release connection so if I need the space the box can be easily removed and re-installed. Small detail but will make a big difference in the future.The car sound now is OUTSTANDING and I appreciated the customer service mentality at Car Toys, highly recommend!

Did have a hiccup with the appointment date of my install with the store manager but he did help me make it work after all on a Sunday. The installation was great and on time took 3 hours but happy and glad I did.

I brought a boat in that I was trying to sell so I could get the radio working well in the process of the technician trying to get the radio to work did something to the wiring. So when I got it back to my storage I tried to lower the motor down and now trim & tilt are wired to the horn. It wasnt like that before so now I have to take it back so they can figure out what they messed up which in turn has caused a delay in me selling the boat Im not very happy about that. If you take something there make sure everything works before you leave so you dont have to make a extra trip back up there.

THE WORST EXPERIENCE PLEASE DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE THEY MESS IT UP MY CAR WHEN THEY WERE SETTING UP THE RADIO.The alarm system is not working anymore and it’s just 3 weeks . They just offer you great prices but after that is horrible experience with the service.I had to cancel my order but I don’t recommend this place at all.

I have made several purchases at this Car Toys location (West Oaks) for my boat and always have been happy with the service and the professionalism of the staff. Most recently I had to bring my boat back for some tuning work. There was some distortion on the las set of speakers installed (JL sound system) that were installed last summer. Preston did a terrific job diagnosing and correcting the issue. The sound quality in my boat is exceptional. When I went to pick my boat and pay for the work they reminded me that all their installation work is fully guaranteed. What a ice surprise! Thank you for the terrific service and your expertise.

Ive been wanting to upgrade the sound system in my 1997 BMW 318i for quite a while. I had no idea how much better it would sound with two new amplifiers installed. In fact I didnt know exactly how or what by adding an amplifier would have on the sound output. I spent a little over $900, and I can tell everyone reading this it sounds fantastic! James was right on when he told me how it would amplify my sound and add volume. Im am a very satisfied customer and would highly recommend Cartoys for any sound improvement to your sound system.

I went in to upgrade the factory radio on my 2013 Silverado to something with Android Auto and HD radio. Nathan was very helpful in explaining my options and had my radio ordered. When I went back for the install I believe Al took care of it. Great work. The radio was better priced here as well compared to other sites I checked out. They were even able to set up the USB connection so it appeared like it was a factory set up along with keeping my steering wheel controls.

I was looking for an exterior car detail center in Houston that would restore my tired white paint to the new car shine and I found the team and location at the Car Toys located at Hwy 6 (West Oaks). I would give a zero star is I could, absolutely sloppy job on the detailing of my car, there wer spots left on the seats, inside door panels and handles were not clean, window glasses were left dirty.. I can see the towel marks, nothing done to deodorize the car ... on top of all this the car was handed over to me when the seats were still wet .. I was told that that this is the best we can do

Every time Ive been to this store I have received excellent service from everyone! I was fortunate to work with Brice twice now, he is so patient with my husband and I helping us with finding an easy to use system for our vehicles (2), as well as pair our phones with the system and walking us through multiple explanations on how to use our systems (lol). They also do great detail work, including polishing your headlights. _Sean is the one that installed our systems as well and he offered to try to restore our headlights with a promise that if they werent a hundred times better, there would be no charge at all. When I went to pick up the car, unfortunately the headlights could not be fixed (damage inside) so they sent me off at no charge, as promised. I stopped by the next day because my Sirius XM signal wasnt coming through and I didnt know why; Sean stopped what he was doing and came outside and got me all fixed up. As I said, so helpful, so nice, so patient! GREAT company, GREAT team. Hightly recommend!!

Great customer service very professional staff

Make sure your employees fully explain everything upfront not drop the bomb on you at the end on pricing. They also had my truck all day for a car alarm and still didnt have all the bugs worked out until an hour after closing. They didnt give me options on my alarm settings until I mentioned so. They didnt have all the information on the payments for my alarm which took up my time to find out. This place is very unorganized!

I wanted to improve the sound in my little daily driver. From the courtesy and professionalism I received youd think I was getting a competition system installed in a show car. These guys love what they do, and it shows. Norman assisted me with my purchase, and David did the install. I couldnt be happier, and Ill see them for my future needs, and recommend them highly.

I called this business to check availability on appointments. Called back four times after being told let me check! The last I called the guy said oh your call kept dropping! Knowing thats a lie because I was listening to hold music every time. After that lie, I asked my initial question again, he states NO! Im wonering why it took four calls, speaking with two different people, did it take so long to say NO? Terrible customer service.

This shop knows car audio. Ive taken two vehicles there so far, and both times the work has been top notch, great audio, loud, and crisp. I would recommend this place to anyone whos looking to improve their factory audio. You will be pleased.

If I could give 0 stars I would, I went by on a Tuesday to see about having a simple after market harness put in to recover my factory temperature screen in my Avalon due to the factory radio being swapped out for a new pioneer radio. I was quoted by the installer in front of a saleman that he could do the job for 65.00 to simply just open up my dash ( connect wires) to connect the kit to my new radio to recover this screen I had lost . So I ordered the kit on my own went back up there on Sat only 4 days later, the manager on duty in the front who previously wasnt there on tues, got the installer to come to the counter to discuss this job . This low life con installer says he remembered me from tues but that he never told me $65 for the job it would at least be a 100.00 HE BLANTLY LIED IN FRONT OF THE MANAGER LIKE A SORRY COWARD, NOT A MAN OF HIS WORD, he couldnt even look me in the face because he knew he was lying.The salesman who previously witness the quote unfortunately wasnt there. I complained to the sorry manager on duty who was unprofessional and he basically did nothing for me other than the let me get your name and number and see what I can do B.S. to which he never contacted me. Why the F would I go all the way up there and lie about something like that, makes no sense.BOTTOM LINE The INSTALLER IS A SCAMMER who probably does jobs under the table, behind the back of the lost dumb manager when he isnt around. Someone like that with no integrity I wouldnt want anywhere near my car. Dont remember his name he was a 5ft9 lame chubby loud talking black dude. BEWARE

I was disappointed to find out that one of the greatest Management from the location near me was let go. The experience with Norman was the greatest. I yet to find a good manager since. I was excited to find out that he was moved to another location. Norman works at the location that it is a bit farther from me it is worth the drive. If you want someone with excellent customer service and can cater to your personal audio needs please go see Norman.

Sean Williams is incredible! He created custom wood brackets for my Toyota Sequoia so that I could upgrade the factory speakers. They ended up being a little too thick so I brought them back in and for no charge he replaced them with the accurate size. Its been a pleasure to work with him.

Came by the store today to check out a new audio system.Walked in, *staff looked me right in the face* no one spoke.Walked into the different rooms to check out their selection, no one approached me to ask if I needed assistance. Again, no one spoke.Went closer to the checkout counter to browse, again no one spoke or notified me that someone would help me soon.The staff looked at me, knew I was there, but blatantly disregarded me. Was it the color of my skin, my choice of comfortable clothing or a combination of both?I am unsure however, I was referred to this location by my BMW dealership. I will be notifying them on how I was treated to ensure they do not refer any more customers. Would hate for people of color to be treated like I was.

Trey did a fantastic job installing the receiver (same day) and could not even tell that he had removed panels to install the receiver. Afterwards, Antonio showed me how to set it up and use it... I felt like I was being handled with the price which is why I found better somewhere else! They quoted me almost $1100 to install a back-up camera in my Mercedes C300... they said it would cover a part/module that needed to be shipped to them plus the labor to install it and I would need to pay a $550 deposit to order the part. Instead I called American Audio Concepts further down Highway 6 and Bellaire and they quoted me $800 even!!! I called Car Toys back to let them know that I was going with American Audio and they only wanted a $350 deposit down which I paid that same day because I couldnt beat that.... Car Toys then called me back 5 minutes later and said that they found a part at another store and would charge me $790 total with labor included to come back. SO my question is, where was this $790 price at when I originally came in there? Why didnt the staff work as hard to get me a better pricing the first or second time around instead of looking me dead in my face and saying unfortunately thats the lowest price that they can do for me. I was WILLING and ABLE to pay them the same day but I felt I was being handled with the price and Im glad I went with my instinct. I WOULD SUGGEST calling around to other places before giving them your money considering that they attempted to jack up the price so high on me! It may have been for commission or something... but they missed out on a well paying customer who would have came back for more services. But instead American Audio Concepts gained me as a customer for future services. Overall - The Staff was very kind to me each time I was there. They answered every question I had, I do thank them for taking time out to assist me. :)

Kyle and Preston helped me and were absolutely amazing. I had an Alpine head unit, subs, amps, all new speakers and the install was perfect. A year later I had a new engine put in my truck which caused issues with some of the speakers. Kyle and Preston got me in immediately, figured out the problem, and got me fixed up. Ive been doing large car stereos my whole life and these guys are by far the best in the business. Car Toys is awesome and this is the location to go to.

I have been a customer of Car Toys for the last 4 years and they are the only place that I will go to for my car audio needs because of the exceptional customer service that I always receive from them. I walked into the store on Saturday 11/17/18 at 6:30 pm and Norman and Kyle (Managers) along with Preston and Trey (Installers) helped me select the right equipment for my new Honda Accord. They stayed an hour past the store closing as we listened to different equipment until we formulated a plan for an awesome car stereo system. Because my Accord has other system controls built into the monitor that controls my music, they recommended a product called The FIX to correct the audio signal going to the 2 Alpine amps that power the speakers in the doors and in the rear deck in addition to the sub-woofer in the trunk. I selected the Infinity Reference Series speakers that produce amazing mid-range and high-range sound to compliment the rich deep base sound produced from my sub-woofer in the trunk. When I returned the following Saturday, Norman finalized my purchase with a friendly smile and Preston installed the system customizing the sound to my preferences. Preston did an amazing job with the installation and once again I am an extremely satisfied repeat customer. In addition to receiving a lifetime warranty on the installation, I completely trust the entire team at Car Toys. They will help you find a system that fits your budget and needs coupled with exceptional experienced management like Norman and installers like Preston that make the difference!

I bought some 6.5” coax speakers at this location on 10/8/19. I spoke with Norman initially but ended up with one of the other guys. We demoed a lot of 6.5” coax and component speakers and I was really interested in this certain set. I asked if it was possible to look at the back of the speaker. Physically hold it before I buy it. He said, “no, we have really picky customers that frown on that”. So I said, that’s fine, I understand. Well, since I couldn’t physically hold it, I opted for a cheaper coax speaker (focal icu 165). He went back to get the speaker and returned with...guess what? An open box of focal icu 165’s. I joked around about what he just said about open boxes and he assured me they were brand new. I took one speaker out and everything looked fine. Bought them and went on my way. Well, later that night I went to install them and I was missing one of the seals that mount between the speaker and the mounting surface and there was evidence someone tried installing the other speaker I didn’t inspect. (Little scratch on screw mounting hole). I drove in 45 minutes Houston rush hour traffic to get to this place just to get screwed over. I intended on taking them back for a full refund and never coming back but I installed them anyways. So here’s my review and why I’ll never return to this car toys again.

Hard to review as the Ive had work done to my vehicles for about 10 or so years. But when I took my car for a radio install they almost messed up my car which started showing sensor lights on the dashboard which there are no problems before installation. Installation messed up a computer module on my car that caused sensor lights to come on, on the dashboard and cost over $1200 to fix. Cost more than radio and installation.The best thing is they do repay you for the damages. Thats one Positive. But takes hours or days to figure out what was done wrong. Even though all the problem started after installation.The only place that could fix and found what was the problem was the dealership. They figured that they connected to a wrong cable and damaged the module causing sensor lights to come on.Radio is now 90% working but due to installation problems and now only one out of two USB ports works as not sure how or where they did connections. Dont want them to work on the car as another mishandle and it would be worse.Im not sure if I didnt involve the Regional Manager that a payment for damages would have even occurred.Even though this was an issue that was fixed it still was a costly and time-consuming problem that is hard not to look away. The only thing is there was no big problem on them paying for damages done to the vehicle but still hard to do installations here as it should not have happened if done properly.You expect to go to a professional installation to avoid any problems on damaging your vehicle to still get it damaged afterward. Just glad the damage is fixed but at wasted time and cost.As mentioned is quite hard to really review this error because of previous installations but hard not to look away either.

Went in to purchase a new radio for my sons car and they found out the old radio just needed a new fuse. They refunded the money for the new radio and fixed the fuse for him. Excellent customer service. I would go here again

Norman got me a good subwoofer and amp setup and Preston did an outstanding job of installing. Sounds great and gave me just what I wanted in sound upgrade.

They werent able to fix the problem and I need to take it back in again. My Pioneer head unit has been blacking out and taking the speedomoter/tachometer and turning signals with it. They replaced a module and it didnt fix the problem, which happened again on the drive out. AdamM

The work done to the car was good. The radio and speakers I got installed work great, but I did not get curteousy call when my car was ready and I was charged more in miscellaneous labor fees than the total of equipment I had purchased.

I purchased a tilt screen DVD for my truck here and had them pit it in. I purchased the extended warranty also.I have brought it back 6 - 7 times because it would not work right. I took my truck to the dealership, they said Car Toys wired it up wrong. Now my extended warranty is out.I would suggest you find a professional to do the work. Never been insulted solo bad.
