So impressed by Tads knowledge & enthusiasm to get it right. Tad is probably the most honest business man I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. He was able to immediately hone in on a few key issues that caused me discomfort on my bike, made a couple of adjustments and recommended a part for me to purchase (he provided the contact for that too). He obviously loves the sport and genuinely wants to help others enjoy it as well. Tad could easily have done more work than necessary to give him more billable time, but since my issues were so easily identified, he did exactly the opposite - didnt charge a dime. Its just over 3 months since I went through the fitting process with Tad Hughes and this has to be the best time and money Ive spent ... ever! The fit was meticulous, Tads patience was amazing, he just kept nipping and tweaking until it was right, not just right, perfect! Im doing moderate mileage and a lot of static bike time and so far (knock on wood) no pain, no stress and no injuries - exactly what I wanted and needed. Im planning to get back in a couple of months to see what adjustments are needed with me now a lot lighter and stronger.

I have tight muscles and very little range of motion. Tad worked with my body type and found a great position for me to ride comfortably. Its not all about being the most aerodynamic its about what your body can handle and having you feel great when you get off the bike.

Tad fitted me back in 2013. It has been awhile, but Im still in that riding position. Tad is very thorough with the fit and helped me tremendously with the offset gait that I have. He also made my ride more comfortable than aggressive since I was new to cycling and triathlons. Overall, Im happy with my fit and would go back if I were to purchase another bike.

There is only one place in Houston to go to get a true custom fit for your bike and Tad Hughes is the one. I have had Tad fit three bikes for me and if I need another Im going back to see Tad. Most bike shops use a tape measure and eyeball you. Tad does it using the latest software and video analysis tools to measure and adjust a dozen points on the bike. He even adjusts and shims your shoes to make up for the difference in your leg lengths. The exact fit makes a huge difference when you ride long distances. If you have any pains after riding 40 miles you owe it to yourself to get a Tad Hughes custom fit. You will ride faster, longer and enjoy cycling more than ever before.

This was my second fitting with Tad Hughes. I had a warranty replacement on my 18 month old bike that had been previously fitted by Tad. I tried to get the settings on the new bike exactly like my old bike, but exceeding 200 mi/week for several weeks in a row was causing some knee discomfort. Finally sucked it up and went to Tad. Immediate relief, and can now ride as much as I want with no such issues. Again, great job! Fitting a bike is more than a rote tape measure exercise--it is an art, and Tad is an artist.

This was one of the best experiences I have had in a long time. I learned a lot from Tad during the whole process and felt very good on the bike after the new fit... Tad did a really cool job of aligning my feet and leveling my back by making a few adjustments to my shoes and the handlebars and stem. The immediate effect was a smoother, more centrally delivered power to the pedal. Since visiting Tad early this year, Ive ridden over 1300 miles without any issue of leg or hip cramping, and zero pain from the awesome seat he set me up with.I have recommended Tad to my fellow riders the Goats, and I will be back soon when its time to get a new bike!

Set appointment for wife and she changed her mind - almost canceled, after all what could a pro fit do for a 75 year old with over 35 years of serious biking and numerous 100 mile events under my belt including a sub five hour century on my 50th birthday? Answer A LOT. I was impressed with the time spent and attention to detail. If it had an adjustment - he tweaked it. Brake lever position and angle, handle bar, stem, seat height and seat angle. He added wedges to my cleats and laying on floor he adjusted the cleat angle. Adjust - test ride, check computer, over and over until he got it right. And how right it was. Three weeks later I finished the GASP 100 in under seven hours - no aches and no pains. I can not begin to explain how much better my bike feels since my Tad Hughes Custom Fit session.

(Update :3rd time seeing tad again and hes gotten better. Expected after 5 years or whatever.He takes into consideration the type of riding uou are doing and sets you up for that. More importantly he explains how and why. Next he also helps explain physically what might be wrong with the body and how to fix it)You cannot go wrong with Tad. I started out as a triathlete 3 years ago and got my bike fit at chained retailers because thats all I knew. I felt all this pain in my lower back and I always thought this was the life of a triathlete; to endure the pain and get use to it. In my second year, I heard about Tad and his bike fit reputation. I went online, saw the price, and thought pft! Im not spending that kind of money! A few months later, I signed up for my first Ironman and then things got REAL real fast. Anytime I road more than 50 miles, my back would scream of pain. Thats when I knew it was time. I did not want to spend the next year of training with this pain. So when I went in to see Tad, it was a cool experience: flexibility testing, bike measurements, angle measurements, and pedal and seat pressure analysis. This guy had it down to a visual science. Nothing remotely close to the bike fits I received at the retailer shops. To this day, I can ride 50+ miles with no back problems. Thanks Tad! Definitely a good bike fit, however the fit was rushed and as an inexperienced triathlete, I feel like he could have spent the remaining scheduled time to share a little more knowledge and/or allow more time for me to make a more confident saddle choice rather than end the fit early.

He did a great job helping fit my wife and he gave me a great sample of Flor de Cana 18 year.

I have been riding an old, poorly fit road bike for the last year doing triathlons so when I decided to buy a tri bike I knew fit was the most important aspect to get right. I went to Tad for a pre-fit and after careful measurements, range of motion tests and lots of questions he gave me a list of bikes that would work for me. He also took the time to explain the pros and cons of different bikes and how it would impact me. This gave me the confidence to go out and buy a bike knowing it was the right one. After I got the bike I came back to Tad for the followup session (included in the pre-fit) and Tad quickly got my bike fit perfected. He also adjusted the cleats on my shoes to improve my pedal stroke. If you are about to go out and buy a bike or you feel something is off with your current position, go see Tad!

I went to Tad Hughes studio to get fitted for my bike, I have had some problems of having my feet going numb and other things.After he put me on the laser machine and doing measurements he told me my bike was to small for me.However he worked on fixing my shoes and seat.I was there 35 minutes and he told me to come back when I purchased a new bike.He didnt try to sell me anything and didnt charge me a cent.Hard to find people like that in these times.I will go back.
